I was in my ready room with Tuvok.
"We've known each other for how long?" I said.

"I was there at your daughter's Kolinahr. I consider you one of my closest friends," I said.
"And I regard you with the same esteem," Tuvok said.
"I've always been honest with you, But you've keeping something from me," I said.
"I don't know what you mean," Tuvok said.
"Don't you," I said. "It took exhaustive research, sifting through teraquads of data, Separating fact from rumour, but eventually, I arrived at the truth,"
"Captain," Tuvok said.
As I fired up the replicator.
"Happy birthday," I said.
"Thank you," Tuvok said.
"So it's not long before you hit the big 3 digits," I said.
"Indeed," Tuvok said. "Have you informed anyone else of your discovery,"
"Don't worry, Tuvok my lips are sealed," I said. "Well. you're supposed to blow out the candle,"
"That is not a Vulcan custom," Tuvok said.
"Humour me," I said.
"Captain to the Bridge," Chakotay said.
"On my way," I said. "Well,"
As Tuvok blew it out. "It was a fire hazard," Tuvok said.
"In your dreams," I said.
As we headed out.
"We're receiving a distress call," Chakotay said. "A small vessel on an intercept course,"
"Lifesigns," I said.
"One, Captain, It's Ocampan," Harry said.
"We're being hailed," Tuvok said.
"On screen," I said. "Kes,"
"Captain, I need your help," Kes said. "Will you please give me permission to come aboard,"
"Of course, What's happened," I said.
"Please, let me come aboard," Kes said. As she closed the channel.
"Prepare the docking port, Tell the Doc to stand by," I said.
"Her ship is accelerating, It's on a collision course," Tuvok said.
"McCall to Kes. Cut your engines, You're coming in too fast," I said.
"5 seconds till impact," Tuvok said.
"Lock on a tractor beam, Evasive maneuvers," Chakotay said.
As we got hit on the shields.
"Hull breach on Deck 9," Harry said. As we went to red Alert.
"Emergency force fields," I said.
"Captain, a transporter was activated just before impact, She's beamed aboard, Bulkhead ruptures Deck 11 section 17, 18, 19," Harry said.
"Cause," Chakotay said.
"Unknown," Harry said.
"It's Kes, She still doesn't have control over it," I said.
"Captain's right, she's moving through those sections," Tuvok said. "She's giving off high levels of neurogenic energy,"
"McCall to Kes. Kes. respond," I said.
"Hull breach section 20," Harry said.
"Force fields, Security to Deck 11," I said.
"Forcefields are not holding," Harry said.
"She's approaching main Engineering," Tuvok said.
"Bridge to Engineering. Intruder Alert," I said.

It's been 56 days since we have been in the Delta Quadrant, But now. Tuvok, Harry and Tom found something bad. As Chakotay was in with me.
"That last attack nearly cost us our impulse drives, Fortunately, B'Elanna found a way to reroute power from the deflector," Chakotay said.
"A good call for a Chief Engineer. If I do say so myself," I said.
"Getting to know your enemy," Chakotay said. As I had a file on the Vidiians.
"I feel like I already do, Remember the old story, A man goes to Risa, where he meets a beautiful woman, Who invites him for an evening of passion," I said.
"He wakes up in the morning feeling wonderful, until he discovers he's missing a kidney," Chakotay said.
"Every cadet about to go on his first shore leave hears that cautionary tale," I said. "Doesn't seem so outrageous anymore, does it,"
"No but the Vidiians are more than just your garden-variety monsters, I've been studying their culture, They were a lot like us before the Phage," Chakotay said.
"Do I detect a note of sympathy?" I said.
"Makes you wonder what we'd do under the same circumstances," Chakotay said.
"Not that," I said As my door bell rang. "Come in,"
As Kes came in with some coffee.
"Kes, you read my mind," I said as Chakotay left.
"Vidiians," Kes said.
"I'm afraid so, We've picked up 2 more ships on long range sensors, I've gone to full tactical alert, We're taking every precaution," I said.
"I'm sure you'll get us through it safety," Kes said.
"I plan on it," I said. "Tuvok thinks he's found a way to penetrate their shields, The next time they attack us it won't be so easy,"
"That's good to hear," Kes said.
"Captain to the bridge," Tuvok said.
"On my way," I said.
"Ensign Wildman has an intriguing proposal," Tuvok said.
"We've been analyzing the Vidiian bioreadings from the last attack, Their immune system have been compromised by the Phage, We could synthesize a neural agent that would incapacitate them without affecting us," Sam said.
"Might come in handy if we're ever boarded," I said.
"Exactly," Sam said.
"Work with the Doc, When you've got something, find a way to deploy it through the environmental systems," I said.

"The ships we detected earlier have disappeared from our sensors," Tuvok said.
"Maybe we outran them," Harry said.
"They wouldn't give up that easily," B'Elanna said.
"Why would they? Voyager's the only organ bank within half a parsec," Doc said.
"We fought off their first attacks, Now they seem content to show up on sensors, just long enough for us to change course," Chakotay said.
"I know what you thinking, Chakotay, We're being herded somewhere," I said.
"If we maintain our present course, we're going to enter a region filled with subspace vacuoles," Tom said.
"We'd have to drop to impulse to get through," B'Elanna said.
"Sounds like a good place for an ambush," Chakotay said.
"The Maquis used to lure the Cardassians into the Badlands, Those Galor Class Cruisers had no where to run," B'Elanna said.
"Neither will we, unless. Tom how dense are those vacuoles," I said.
"They cover 70% of the region," Tom said.
"Excuse us, Doc," I said. "Tom what's the first thing they teach you about maneuvring at warp,"
"Faster than light, No left or right," Tom said. "When possible maintain a linear trajectory, Course corrections could fracture the hull,"
"Exactly, we'd have to drop to impulse every time we made a course change, but, what if we let Voyager do the driving," I said.

"We could preprogram every kilometer, that we'd only spend a second or 2 at impulse, every time the computer executed a turn," I said.
"Auto navigation the entire way?" Tom said.
"No offence but the neural gel packs can calculate vectors a little faster than you can," I said.

"We'd need a more accurate scan of the region," B'Elanna said. "If we even grace one of those vacuoles,"
"We could send a shuttle ahead," harry said.
"The Delta Flyer, It's sensors are more advanced," Tuvok said.
"The Delta Flyer, We haven't got a shuttle with that have we," I said.
"Forgive me, I must have been thinking of another starship," Tuvok said.
"Prepare a shuttle, I want all of Voyager's systems operating at max efficiency by the time tom gets back, If we're going to pull this off, There's no margin for error, Tom Leave when the shuttle is ready, Dismissed," I said.

"Sam husbands is Ktarian, I met him on DS9," I said.
"There's more, I followed her to Cargo bay 2, Where I saw a woman and 2 children, All with cybernetic implants," Tuvok said.
"Borg," I said.
"I can't explain it, captain, But there was another woman with red hair standing not that far away like she was watching the woman. I've had hallucinations before, but only while in a state of deep meditation," Tuvok said. "These were specific, And they evoked a sense of anticipation,"
"It's almost sounds like you're describing a premonition," I said.
"Indeed," Tuvok said.
"I didn't think Vulcans had premonitions," I said.
"They don't that's what concerns me," Tuvok said.
"Computer, maintain a continuous proximity scan of Lt Tuvok, 10 meter radius, All sensor parameters," I said. "In case you have any more visions,"

"Tuvok, I'm thinking something is trying to tell you something," I said.

"One of the vacuoles shifted position," Harry said. "The Computer adjusting our vector,"
"Dropping to impulse, 2.3 degree turn starboard, jumping to warp 6," Tom said.

"We've devised a neural agent that should inhibit the Vidiians' motor functions," Doc said. "Without causing any permanent damage,"

"I performed her annual physical 6 weeks ago," Doc said.

"This may seem like a strange question, but I need to know if she's pregnant," I said.

"What about Captain's Orders," I said.
"Sorry, medical protocol supersede your authority in these matters," Doc said.
"The security of this ship could be at stake," I said.

"Can I speak with him," I said.
"I think it's best to keep him sedated for now," Doc said.

"Earlier this afternoon in Engineering," Doc said.
"Time, I need the exact time," I said.
"Lt Torres called Sickbay at 1422 hours," Doc said.
"Computer, display proximity scan of Lt Tuvok at 1422 hours," I said. "Oh,"
"Captain," Doc said.
"Tachyons," I said.
"I beg your pardon," Doc said.
"There was a surge of tachyon particles just before Tuvok collapsed," I said.
"That could have triggered this, but where did they come from?" Doc said.
"They're normally caused by temporal distortions," I said.
"Time travel," Doc said.
"He is getting messages back through time. Let me know if his condition changes," I said.
As I left.
"Kes. You have telepathic abilities have you experienced anything unusual during the past couple of days," I said. "hallucinations premonitions,"
"No, nothing," Kes said.
"If you do, you'll let me know," I said.
"Of course Captain," Kes said.
As I left Sickbay.

The Second I got back to the Bridge.
"Harry, Chakotay, Scan for Tachyon particles, Deck by Deck," I said.
"Tachyons," Harry said.
"Do it," I said.
"Looking for something specific," Chakotay said.
"I'm not sure," I said as we got rumbled. As Went to Red Alert.
"Report," Chakotay said.
"We're under attack, A Vidiian ship is closing on our position," Tom said.
"Battle Stations," I said.
As we got hit.
"Return Fire," I said.
"We've lost Warp drive and Weapons," Harry said.
"Drones," I said.
"They're offline too," Harry siad.
"They're cutting through our shields, remoulade," Chakotay said.
"I'm trying they keep matching the frequencies," Harry said.
"We've still got impulse," Chakotay said.
"They've taken out navigation, I can't plot a course," Tom said.
"Arms yourselves, Security Teams to all decks," I said.
"They're cutting an access route through the hull," Chakotay said. "Evacuate Deck 3 and seal it off,"
"Bridge to Sickbay are you ready with that neural agent," I said.
"Aye Captain," Doc said.
"Standby to release it on Deck 3," I said.
"Doctor to Bridge, Environmental controls aren't responding," Doc said.
"Harry, What's going on?" I said.
"We've been locked of that system," Harry said.
"What do you mean, Locked out," I said.
"The Command relays have been fused," Harry said.
"They knew where to find us, They knew our shields frequencies, Which systems to target," I said.
"We're being boarded," Harry said.
"I'm reading an EM fluctuation, It could be a transmission," Chakotay said.
"Shut it down," I said. "Location,"
"Aeroponics bay," Chakotay said.
Who's down there," I said.
"I'm picking up 2 bio readings, The sensors must be malfunctioning, they're both reading as Kes," Chakotay said.
"Security to Airponics bay, Shut down control functions to that section," I said. "I'm going down there, Something tells me we got more than one battle on our hands, you got the Bridge,"

As we came across 2 Vidiians as I turn and rolled shooting both of them. As I got to the Airponics bay.
"Now one of you doesn't belong here, and I'm guessing it's you, Tuvok's premonitions were real, You're from the future," I said.
"A future I'm about to change," Kes said.
"You're helping the Vidiians Kes why?" I said.
As I got knocked back.
And I got my Phaser.
"Tell me why you're doing this," I said.
"I won't let you hurt her again," Kes said.
"I haven't done anything to harm her," I said.
"You took her from Ocampa, her home," Kes said. "She's a prisoner on this ship,"
"No one's a prisoner, Kes," I said.
"I was a child, You corrupted me with your ideas," Kes said.
"What Ideas," I said.
"Exploration, Discovery," Kes said. "I believed you, In 3 years I'm going to leave Voyager in search of higher things. Because you encouraged me to do it, You encouraged me to develop my mental abilities, I wasn't Ready, But what I found I couldn't control it, it scared me, I had nowhere to go, I though of returning home to Ocampa, But I had changed too much, I knew they'd be frightened of me, I knew they wouldn't accept me, but they'll accept her,"
"You don't have to destroy this ship, Kes, We can help you," I said.
"No I trusted you," Kes said.
"Kes," I said.
"No," Kes said as I got flew back again.
As I got back up again. As I tried to Stun her. But she hit me again. then I set my Phaser to Kill.
"It's set to Kill, Kes," I said as I saw she was going to try again as I shot her.
Then She changed.
"McCall to Bridge Status," I said.
"The Vidiians are in retreat," Chakotay said. "Everything all right down there,"
"For now," I said.

I was in Engineering with Tuvok.
"She was here in my last premonition, She appeared older. her face was tired," Tuvok said.
"What was she doing," I said.
"She had her hands on the casing, As if she was drawing energy from it," Tuvok said.
"The Tachyons are concentrated here," I said. "It's possible she needed to core to travel back in time,"
"If that's true then she'll need it again," Tuvok said.
"But we don't know when that will be," I said.
After I while we had a plan and Kes helped us to do it. I just hoped it works.

"Captain, I need your help," Kes said. "Will you please give me permission to come aboard,"
"Of Course What's happened?" I said.
"Please let me come aboard," Kes said. As she cut the channel.

"Computer Activate Kes programme 1 Alpha," I said. "Main Engineering,"
As we got in.
As Her programme vanished.
"Don't you remember, you made that holo recording, because you didn't want this to happen again," I said. "3 years ago, You travelled back in time, Kes you wanted to take that woman with you and you were willing to hand the rest of us over to the Vidiians to do it, It didn't work, You forced me to kill you, Kes, If you go back now, It'll all happen again, Just before this terrible thing happened, you told me you had nowhere to go, That's not true, Stay here with us,"
"I can't I don't belong here," Kes said. "I need to be with my own people,"
"You told me you had the ability to get home, but you were afraid the Ocampans wouldn't accept you, Why?" I said.
"I remember," Kes said.
"What, What do you remember," I said.
"The Holo recording I remember making it, You asked me to help you to help myself, You wanted me to remember who I was, These years were so filled with confusion and Anger, I, I buried the memory, I'd almost forgotten," Kes said.
"Does it really matter which Kes goes home," I said.
