- Casy? Chase asked
- Yes?
- Why do you have a shape 2 birthmark on your back?
- I do not know.
- Are we going to find out?
- Sure.
Two German Shepherds rode upstairs John was on the balcony at the time, staring up at the sky
- Hey John.
- Yes?
- Why does Casy have a 2-shaped birthmark on her back.
John's face fell visibly
- I'll tell you but Casy promise you won't hate me.
- I promise.
- You are a clone of a clone.
- How is that? I have died?
- This was the Chernobyl mission, strange readings were detected there was a huge biomass that emerged from the reactor ...
- Shortly before the appearance of biomass, humans and animals began to disappear in the vicinity. We were in an old building that had been converted into a temporary fort. It was night
The area outside was littered with dozens of bodies belonging to mutant humans that attacked the turrets.
But apparently they were cleverer than it might seem, as they soon realized that a regular Defense Attack wasn't working. Now they were bringing in specialists.
A huge black beetle appeared on all fours with a massive topped head.
Big motherfuckers who liked to charge their targets like a bull. It was wrong.
These worms had bulletproof backs, the turrets would not have been enough to stop them.
The beetle let out a loud roar and lunged forward like an oversized cat the weight of a freight train. Turrets attacked him immediately and released a stream of lead. But each bullet simply bounced harmlessly off his bony spine.
The beetle probably didn't even notice the turrets, even when he tossed them aside and smashed them into useless pieces of scrap metal. When they finished destroying the turrets, she noticed the front door.
Like a bull, he stepped back to keep some distance between himself and his target, then began digging the ground. Marines on the second floor fired at him from above, but their missiles, like their turrets, were little more than irritating the massive beetle.
The beetle suddenly jumped, lunging at the door. The entire building shook under the impact and the beetle receded.
He kicked the ground again and fired again. Metal door creaked on impact.
The building shook again from another attack, and the door creaked again, gaining another huge dent.
Soon, a few more hits and the door will collapse.
But as he backed up and prepared for another jump, John finally took aim at the giant beetle.
He squeezed the grenade launcher and released a single explosive projectile.
The grenade hit the dead center of his head and exploded. The resulting explosion covered him in fire and smoke.
But even with their ears covered, they could still hear the screams of pain.
Unfortunately, the beetle still had enough life to pop out of the smoke and bang its head on the door again.
John cursed their bad luck, but noticed that the ridge was now cracked and bleeding in several different areas.
He fired another shot and fired once or twice, giving the second one for good measure. The first shot was a little short and exploded just below the chin, but the explosion was effective nonetheless.
Half his jaw was ripped off and he stood on his hind legs like a horse, howling in agony. The second shot hit center of her exposed chest.
This time he didn't let out screams of pain, instead he just fell sideways to the ground.
- Ha ha! ... John cheered, as did everyone else, when he saw the corpse
- Well done, Dad, but it's not yet ... the end ...
When Casy paused, he turned to see the veteran staring out the window.
At first he didn't understand why Casy had stopped, but on closer inspection he noticed a single black figure standing on top of the building in the distance.
Though he couldn't make out the details, he had a good idea of what they were looking at.
Giant, alpha of these creatures as it seemed Which other would stand out so blatantly on the outside.
Alpha tilted his head back and roared into the sky. There was a pause in silence, but then a rhythmic sound like footsteps was heard.
John directed his vision to the path leading to their front door and noticed the Alpha's reaction to their victory. They killed one, now Alpha was giving them two more.
Two beetles entered the path from opposite sides, shook off the dust, kicked the ground and charged. He aimed his grenade launcher.
As he was about to fire the gun, his eyesight was suddenly blocked by the wall of black. He looked up from his launcher and saw a mutant standing right outside the window and staring at him.
- Jesus! he shouted as the mutant jumped through the window and threw himself at him.
His teeth clicked as he tried to bite him, not coming closer just because he held his weapon between them. Casy reacted immediately, punching him with bullets.
- Be careful! yelled marine,
John's attention was caught by a screech that turned his eyes towards the windows to see more mutants falling into the building. Marines immediately rushed to defend themselves.
Some managed to fire their weapons and throw their attackers back through the windows. But those who were not killed jumped into the building and began to wreak havoc.
Single one jumped into the building and began waving his claws wildly.
Three unfortunate marines who were too slow to get out of the way were caught in his attack. Claws broke through their bodies and splattered blood on the floor.
They all died bubbling their own blood on the floor. John himself was nearly slashed but managed to jump back and then fire a burst in the head.Another one crawled up the ceiling. Marine fired a pistol at him, but missed every shot.He took revenge by falling on him, wrapping his hands around his neck and sending a sharp piece of scrap metal through his eye. A marine who was firing a gun through a window was suddenly captured by a pair of black clawed hands and dragged outside, shouting along the way. Two fired their weapons, killing several mutants.
Suddenly, one of them was pierced in the back, a black spear sticking out of a steel rod protruding from his chest. Other screamed and fell to the ground, clumsily trying to crawl away, but was caught by his ankles and dragged out the window.
- Hades! ... John roared over the comm as he smashed another.
- Yes?
- Seal the windows! Seal them now!
- I confirm. John pushed the mutant away and hit him with the rifle butt on the side of the head.
He was stunned, which allowed bullets to pierce him.
Another jumped in the window and was about to climb when Casy ran up to him and slipped a shoe between his teeth. He howled and lost his grip.
- Get the fuck out of my base!
Suddenly, sirens began to wail in the building and the shutters began to fall.
The mutants, realizing that their entry point would soon be cut off, withdrew.
Not that it mattered, they did their own damage. There were five of them dead now, and John grabbed their dog tags and put them in his pocket.
- Yes, that's right, you better run! Casy snapped as the latter slipped back through the windows.
Then a loud thud that shook the entire building caused the collapse.John realized that in the chaos of the fight they had forgotten the charge below.
- Cholera! The rest of you stay here and make sure none of these bastards slip in!
Two Marines ran to the second floor and headed for the front door. There the shocks caused by the attacks were strongest, every time it hit the whole world seemed to shake. John had seen the metal bend, there were little cracks.
It's not big enough for the mutant to fit, but that won't matter in a few minutes.
They had to do something to get the big ones back. The idea came quickly.
- Someone give me a Flamethrower!
Marine tossed him a Flamethrower, then stuck the barrel into the same crack the Zhukes had created, and squeezed the trigger. Streams of fire poured out of the front door, and the beetles, despite being bulletproof, soon discovered that they were not actually fireproof. Flames that spit on them burned and set fire to them.
After several tries, they soon withdrew.
- I knew we could defeat these dreaded AHHHH!
The vent cover near marine's foot suddenly snapped, and a pair of dark hands emerged from inside and grabbed the marine by the ankle. He screamed as his hands pulled him into the vent.
Another managed to grab his hand, preventing him from leaving.
- Help! help! He begged
Two more arrived and tried to pull him in, but even with the combined forces there was still a stalemate.Suddenly Casy appeared. The weapon carefully swung down the shaft. She fired three times, then a squeal sounded and Marines were released.
- Oh, thank God, thank God. he was mumbling
Suddenly, another vent cover torn off, this time from the ceiling. The unlucky foot soldier who stood below him was caught and dragged into him. This time no one was fast enough to catch him, and his screams of terror continued.
Flashes danced around the room as panic began to spread among the defenders.
Marine shoots wildly at the shadows, regardless of whether or not there is anything there. Mutant knocked him to the ground and pierced a spear from a reinforcement rod.Two marines tried to step back to the corner and watch each other's sides. Good strategy, but the two mutants just chased them through the darkness. First one pulled one back and tore his throat with his claws. The second attacked and plunged his spears into his chest.
John and the other soldier were giants on the battlefield, toughened in battle, and did not break down in chaos. John fired a shotgun once, twice, three times and blew out three mutants.
His companion, armed with an assault rifle, fired a steady stream of missiles that kept the attackers at bay. When he fired another one, the gun suddenly clicked.
He reached for another magazine and slid an empty one.The moment he was about to push him in, another jumped on him and ran its claws across his face.
One of his eyes burst open and blood. began to trickle down his face. He did what he did best, he got angry.
Everything in the vision of his healthy eye turned red. Without hesitating, he snapped the clip closed and emptied it into an attacker.
- Die! Die! roared
As if sensing a threat from Juggernaut, the mutants began to focus their attack on him.
After they pounced on him, juggernaut wielded his rifle like a club and rejected them happily.
- HAHAHAHAHA!
But the swarm was not stopped.
New mutant jumped off the ceiling and stood on two legs. Her eyeless head faces Juggernaut, still fending off the constant attacks. She hissed softly and ran towards Juggernaut.
Big guy, on his part, noticed a mutant charging at him, he did not pay attention to the fact that she was of a different caste. He just wanted that he was still alive and had to be killed. He charged his head forward, planning to crush her like everyone else.
The moment they were both about to collide, she spun on her heel and waved her claws. It hit him right in the face.
With anyone else, a punch would just upset him.
But when it hit, it glowed red.
The impact made Juggernaut stagger in pain. All the veins glowed red, illuminating the entire room. In a burst of power, she teleported to Juggernaut, then sank her dagger into his back. He screamed in pain and tried in vain to tear the bitch away from him. As he fought, more mutants took advantage of his situation. They jumped on him, first one, then two, then four.
They began to bite with their teeth, cut with claws and stab with sharp metal pieces of scrap metal.
Ultimately, for all his ferocity, he was overwhelmed and buried by sheer numbers of enemies.
Marine with the flamethrower shot a stream of fire through the growing holes, trying to fight them off. At the same time, the beetle managed to puncture the shutter and grab the marine by the neck. Woman struggled and slapped his arm, but he hardly noticed.
The moment he was about to break the Marine's neck, there was a sweet sound of singing metal in the air. The blade slashed an arm like a ship through the water, saving the marine and leaving the hand on the ground.
- Hades! Good time, bro! said John,
Survivors turned and saw that the acid-spitting mutants had finally managed to weaken the metal enough to tear it apart.
Now they were coming in.
Hades moved first, became a blur as his katana flashed.
Unfortunately more just poured into the building.
Marine, who was saved from having her neck twisted, died from a ball of acid.
- Everyone's go to security room! John ordered
The survivors obeyed and headed for the security room. John himself stepped back furiously, keeping a steady fire in the hallway.
- Close the door! John ordered the other two other foot soldiers. They both went to the door and began to lock it.
- Dad? Are you okay? ... asked Casy, who was still kneeling on the floor.
- I'm fine ... he assured me, though he clearly wasn't ... just ... give me a moment.
John took a deep breath, held his breath, and let it out.
He pushed off the ground and picked up the gun. All right ... we ... have to, need what? To defend this room with just a few? They tried it once and look where they are now.
- John ... Hades said ... Can I suggest actions?
- Of course.
- Could I suggest that we escape down the corridors of emergency services? It took him a moment to process what he just said, but when he finally did, all he could do was ask
- What?
- At the back of the security room there is an access point to the emergency services corridor ... he repeated ... if my analysis of the building schematics is correct, we should be able to use it to escape. Whoever planned it was paranoid
- Where to run? ... asked one of the marines ... over there? What's the difference? They will just hunt us down and kill us!
- We're not dead yet! growled John,
He groaned as he fell to the ground and curled into a ball
- I had three weeks until the end of my duty. Three weeks, man ...
Casy grimaced at the sight of the marine going bad, though she couldn't blame him.
Hades knelt and placed his hand on the wall, at first glance there seemed to be nothing there. But on further inspection, a small portion of it was cut into a square panel that moved under pressure. After moving the panel, a small handle was exposed. He grabbed the door handle and pulled up a square section of the wall, revealing a tunnel large enough for John to squeeze through.
John took the flashlight and used it to light the tunnel, swiftly swinging his weapon. He turned to Casy and nodded.
- Alright, let's see where this leads and decide what to do next.
The door to the room suddenly shuddered as something hit it. The metal creaked as it gave way slightly, allowing a hiss from outside to seep inside.
- Damn hell! They just don't give up! John cursed
- Everyone save own ass! one of the Marines shouted, rushing madly into the escape tunnel.
He was about to dive after John, but a vent popped out of the top and fell right in front of him. A shadow shot up from the ceiling and the man was pierced through his chest. But he only had enough life left to scream as he lifted him to the vent.
At the same moment the door shuddered again. This time they collapsed, creating a hole large enough for the horde to pass through. Immediately, black creatures, once humans, began to crawl and seek prey.
Hades and the only remaining foot soldier stopped the rising tide.
Hades, though usually in close combat, decided to use his side arm for this battle.
With clean, precise shots, he dropped his targets, hitting the head with only one bullet. As they managed to get closer, his sword fired and he cut them easily.
Mech briefly turned his vision away from the battle to accept the order. As he did, Muntat managed to leap through the air, nail the last Marine to the ground, and stick metal in his eye. Hades quickly avenged the fallen marine by cutting off his head.
- Hades! Come! John ordered
Hades nodded and headed towards the tunnel.
John handed the door over to Casy and began his own journey inside.
Casy hid under the door and picked it up when Hades finally arrived.
But as he did, two mutants fell out of the opening above.
One lunged at Hades and the other fell on all fours and tried to attack Casy.
Hades easily stepped to the side of the attacker and lowered his sword low, slitting his belly and cutting it in half.
Casy raised her paws just in time to catch the attack.
His saliva-covered teeth pounced on her as she desperately tried to stop it.
Hades was about to come to her aid when another pair attacked him.
He was the first to attack him with his claws.
Hades jumped back, dodging the attack, then flung the blade down.
The sword passed over his shoulder and sliced through his body, all the way to his waist.
Hades tried to pull his sword out of the enemy's body, the other attacked him, causing him to lose his weapon and pin him to the wall.
The moss barely managed to push him away, holding him at arm's length.
He picked up his makeshift blade and tried to pierce his eye.
He dodged on the first thrust, threw his head to the side on the second thrust, but still managed to cut his temple.
Out of the corner of his eye, Hades could see Casy still struggling with his attacker.
Unfortunately for all of them, Hades could see more of the horde entering the room and making its way to the escape tunnel.
If they fail to close the entrance soon, the horde of demonic Beings will flood the rest of the survivors and imprison them in an environment where they cannot properly defend themselves.
Hades, he couldn't let his comrades die while he could do anything about it.
With lightning-fast movements, Hades reached down and grabbed his weapon.
Then he took the gun and hit the mutant on the side of the head.
As he stumbled after the blow, Hades locked onto the hinges and fired three quick shots.
The door immediately began to close.
As a result, Casy's attacker was slowly cut in half.
After the threat to his companions was over, Hades returned to his surroundings.
They were safe, but now he was trapped in this room with the horde and no escape.
He could already hear the sound of Casy pounding on the other side of the door, calling for him to open the door and run away with it.
This, of course, was impossible now that the hinges were damaged.
So Hades silenced her screams and focused instead on the enemies in front of him.
Tearing the sword from the enemy's body, he turned to face the advancing horde.
Three of the horde pounced on him at once.
The first shot was clear in the head.
The second was cut from the shoulder to the ribs and out.
A third stabbed the neck and then fired twice in the chest.
Then the ground shook and Hades saw one of the larger bugs, a beetle, that fell through what was left of the front door.
He spotted the marine mech and roared loudly.
Like a reckless bull, it charged him at full speed, intending to crush him to a bloody pulp.
Hades quickly aimed his pistol and fired the remainder of the clip.
The bullets hit their target, but the creature remained undaunted and continued charging.
Hades threw his weapon aside and gripped his sword with both hands.
At the last possible moment, when the beetle finally reached him, the moss turned while taking a step to the side.
All the while his sword flashed and moved with him.
Before Hades stopped, so did the beetle.
After he passed him, he took a few more steps before falling in half.
Its upper half fell to one side and the lower half to the other.
The moss shook the blood of his weapon gracefully.
It was then that he realized that there were still screams coming from the emergency corridor.
Casy was still on the other side, calling for him to help her open the door so he could go with them.
Hades felt a twinge of sympathy for her.
Knowing that someone is going to die while you can do something about it will make every human or dog hang on until the last minute.
Hades didn't want to die, technically it's just a mobile platform but still ... but given the circumstances, he could accept it.
Rest of the people might still be alive.
As Casy was still hammering on the door, she suddenly heard something push away.
It was a soft, rhythmic knock on the other side.
Hades banged on the door at three intervals.
It wouldn't have meant anything otherwise, but it was now his only way of communicating.
Despite herself, Casy understood what that meant.
With a heavy heart, she saluted him, something he had never seen, and crawled after John.
Hades got up from kneeling at the door.
A hiss rolled across the room and turned to see a dozen new horde members silently entered the room.
They stood in front of him now, circling him like a pack of wolves preparing to attack.
Hades raised his sword
The Horde grinned and shouted out their battle cry.
They all pounced on him together, creating a black wave of claws and teeth.
Hades ran straight at them, intending to cut the tide in half.
Casy and John fell out of the tunnels and sprinted forward, but after a while a horde of them attacked
Not having time to get up, Casy slapped the mutant in the face before he could reach her.
This amazed him for a moment, and Casy tried desperately to get up before he saw another one hammer his rebar into her heart.
Her eyes barely registered the sight before the world went dark.
John heard Casy die behind his back as he tore the muntant's head away from his body.
Anger surged through his being and quickly turned into a white-hot Fury that grew into an uncontrollable stream.
Within seconds, he reappeared, murdering the mutants that had stood over Casy's body in the time it took to blink an eye.
His weapon was forgotten as his eyesight turned blood red.
No mutant forces in Chernobyl survived this slaughter.
In fact, little of anything has survived.
Every body was torn to shreds, every nest was razed to the ground, every weapon was deformed beyond use ...
He wasn't rage or brutality or mercilessness, he was much worse.
He was a void and everything was wiped out in its wake.
He would destroy Satan himself and all the demons if they were foolish enough to get in his way
As the dust cleared, John appeared covered in blood from the stage.
Broke into reactor where Alpha and the heart of the biomass were.
They had no chance ...
- Then I took your body, cloned it again, and changed the memories.
- Wow. Two sheepdogs said
