Chapter 126
(Leah POV)
I got called down to Sickbay. As I heard that Tabor was attacked. As I got down there.
"Doc," I said.
"I've got something," Doc said.
"Hold on, McCall to Tuvok," I said.
"Go ahead," Tuvok said.
"Report to Sickbay," I said.
"On my way," Tuvok said.
After a few minutes, Tuvok got here.
"I've found several microfractures in his cranium, They're minor but the Pattern suggests that he suffered a trauma of some sort," Doc said. "There's also evidence of subdermal contusions, along his right shoulder,"
"This man was attacked," Chakotay said.
"It's possible that whoever did it is still on board," I said. "Go to Yellow Alert. Tuvok, I'm putting you in charge of the investigation,"
"Aye Captain," Tuvok said.
"Keep me updated, I'll be in my ready room," I said. As I left and headed up there and into my ready room. "Coffee Black," As I went and grabbed the coffee of the replicator.

"Harry's found evidence that someone tampered with the holodeck sensor logs," Chakotay said. "Several files have been deleted,"
"Any sign of an outside intruder," I said.
"No, nothing," Chakotay said.
"Cloaked ships," I said.
"No," Chakotay said.
"I believe that a member of this crew is responsible," Tuvok said.
"Tabor was well liked, What's the motive," I said.
"I have one suspect, Crewman Jor," Tuvok said.
"I find that hard to believe, I've known her for a long time, She and Tabor were friends," Chakotay said.
"Close friends," Tuvok said. "She had access to his quarters,"
"A close relationship is hardly a crime," Chakotay said.
"It is my experience that emotional involvements, often lead to unpredictable behaviour," Tuvok said.
"That's an opinion, Not evidence," Chakotay said.
"There may be other suspects," Tuvok said. "I intend to question all crew members who had recent contact with Tabor,"
"I'll check the internal sensors, See what else I can find," Chakotay said as he left.
"Tuvok," I said. "You seem awfully convinced that one of the crew was behind this, Now you can't tell me that's the only logical conclusion, Because I can think of a number of others,"
"I realize my assumptions seem premature, But I have a strong instinct about this," Tuvok said. "You might call it a hunch,"
"I didn't think Vulcans had hunches," I said.
"I can't explain it, Captain, But I can't ignore it either," Tuvok said. "Someone on board is responsible and I intend to fund out who it is,"
"Then Be careful," I said. As Tuvok left.

"His neocortical reading are identical to Tabor's and he has the same microfractures along his right temple," Doc said.
"Who discovered him," Tuvok said.
"Crewman Jor," I said.
"Chakotay to Crewman Jor, Jor Respond," Chakotay said.
"Computer, Locate crewman Jor," I said.
"Crewman Jor is in the Mess hall," Computer said.
"Chakotay, Tuvok," I said. As they left.
But then more come in.
"If this keeps up I may have to open a special coma ward," Doc said.
"Take a look at their names," Chakotay said. "Tell me if anything strikes you,"
"Former Maquis," I said.
"It's either a coincidence or they're being singled out," Chakotay said.
"There hasn't been any hostility between the Maquis and the rest of the crew for years," I said.
"Maybe someone on your crew couldn't put the past behind them," Chakotay said.
"My Crew," I said.
"Our Crew," Chakotay said.
"Are you any closer to a diagnosis, Doc," I said.
"They all have the same disruptions in their synaptic pathways, the same cranial fractures, contusions, But I still don't know the cause or how to reverse it," Doc said.
"Your investigation," I said.
"Nothing conclusive," Tuvok said.
"5 crewmen in coma and we don't have a single clue," I said.
"The Assailant must have access to security protocols," Tuvok said. "There is no other way he could've escaped detection,"
"Wee, you'd better find a way to protect the rest of the Maquis, I'm running out of beds," Doc said.
"Got your old crew together, Get them to work in pairs. Hand phasers," I said. "Let's see if we can stop this before it gets worse,"

"Captain's log Supplemental, Chakotay and B'Elanna are the latest victims of our mysterious assailant, I've decided to put the ship on a level 10 security alert, Nonessential personnel are confined to quarters, and security teams have been posted on all decks. My Girls are safe in my quarters. Just hoping this time nothing else happens. End log," I said. As I got down to the Cargo bay.
"2 more victims regained consciousness Crewmen Yosa and Jor, Their bio reading returned to normal as if they suffered nothing worse than a good night's sleep," I said. "Doesn't make any sense,"
"It is however a pattern, and a Pattern implies purpose," Tuvok said. "We simply have to uncover it,"
"Any clues here," I said.
"Not yet," Tuvok said.
"I'm beginning to think our perpetrator is a ghost," I said.
"Perhaps we should conduct a séance," Tuvok said.
"Or Call some Ghostbusters. Couldn't hurt," I said.
"I have worked meticulously yet he has outwitted me each time," Tuvok said.
"How can you be sure it's a he," I said.
"I can't, but I am," Tuvok said.
"Another hunch," I said.
"I can almost sense his presence, It's as though he's challenging my to find him," Tuvok said.
"I'd say you're taking this a little too personally, Maybe you should take a break," I said.
"No," Tuvok said.
"You haven't slept in 3 days, Get some rest, Meditate, Clear your mind, Maybe it may come to you," I said.
"My mind is perfectly clear," Tuvok said.
"I don't want to make this an order Tuvok, I'll go over your scans, Fresh pair of eyes might help," I said.
"Captain," Tuvok said.
After I while I went down to the holodeck with Harry.
"Anything," I said.
"Nothing," Harry said. "I can't get anything else yet,"
"Easy, come on, Harry, they may be something else," I said. "Filter out the polarized photons, Anyone you know, Tuvok,"
"Computer, Isolate the precise time index of this image," Tuvok said.
"Stardate 54090.4," Computer said.
"Where was Commander Tuvok at that time," Tuvok said.
"Access to that information has been restricted," Computer said.
"By Whom," Tuvok said.

"Tuvok, what's going on," I said.
"Computer override those security restriction, Authorization Tuvok Pi alpha," Tuvok said.
"Restrictions overridden," Computer said.
"Where was Commander Tuvok at the specified time," Tuvok said.
"Commander Tuvok was in Holodeck 2," Computer said.
"Computer Based on the most recent data, can you give me a better estimation of the intruder's height," Tuvok said.
"182 centimetres," Computer said.
"And what is the height of Lt Commander Tuvok," Tuvok said.
"182 Centimetres," Computer said.
"Captain, I believe I," Tuvok said as he stopped and pulled his Phaser. As did Harry.
"Wait, He isn't aiming at us, Harry," I said.
"No," Tuvok said.
"Commander Lower your weapon," I said.
"Who are you," Tuvok said. As I managed to get the phaser from him. "Captain it would appear that I am the guilty Party,"
"How is that possible," I said.
"I don't know," Tuvok said. "But for the crews safety you must confine me to the Brig,"
It wasn't long as we got Tuvok there.
"He wants to speak with you but I advise you to remain outside the force field," Doc said.
"Tuvok," I said. "Can you hear me,"
"I hear you," Tuvok said. "But there is another voice trying to control me,"
"Another voice, Whose," I said. "This is a holy time, What did you mean by that,"
"A primal energy charges the blood, an enemy if rebirth," Tuvok said.
"That's what the voice is telling you," I said.
"It's a Bajoran incantation, The Voice is Bajoran," Tuvok said.
"We need to get you to sickbay so I can run," Doc said.
"No," Tuvok said. "No more scans, Leave me alone, Get away from me,"
"What do you see, Tuvok," I said.
"The Bajoran," Tuvok said.
"Ignore him, Focus on my voice," I said. "Tell me what's happening,"
"I believe I've been attacking certain members of the crew, The Maquis, Then investigating the crimes with no memory of what I'd done," Tuvok said.
"Attacking them, how," Doc said.
"Mind melds," Tuvok said.
"Why," I said.
"I don't know," Tuvok said. "He is responsible, What did you do to me,"
"Tuvok, Tuvok, Is he a member of the crew," I said. As Tuvok indicated no. "The Who is he?"
"I don't know," Tuvok said.
"The Day the first attack occurred, did anything unusual happen to you," I said.
"I was tending to my duties, I received a letter from my son," Tuvok said.
"A letter, This all started right after we received the last datastream," I said.
"I reviewed every letter, Expect my own," Tuvok said.
"Stay with him Doc, I'll find it, Tuvok, Just hold on," I said.

"They've all recovered we don't know why," I said. "It's Tuvok,"
"Tuvok," Chakotay said.
"He's in the Brig, Apparently he's being manipulated by some form of mind control, Can he leave Tom," I said.
"I don't see why not, But he should wear one of these," Tom said.
"There's something I want to show you," I said.
As we left.
"He said it was a Bajoran who was doing this. A Bajoran that is forcing him to do this," I said.
As we got to Astrometrics.
"Exolinguistics always seemed a little too theoretical to me, I've decided to study musical composition instead, I would've sent you my lastest construct, But they won't give me enough room in this datastream, Maybe next time I can," Tuvok's son said. As 7 stopped it.
"A letter from his son," Chakotay said.
"We found another signal embedded in the message," I said. "A Letter within a letter,"
"Hello Father, we received your last Transmission," Tuvok's son said but his image was gone.
"Prophet's sing, this is a holy time, B'tanay, the time of awakening, Return to that dark place from which all life springs," He said.
"The Signal is calibrated to correspond with Vulcan synaptic frequencies," 7 said. "Tuvok wouldn't have been consciously aware of it,"
"Teero, Teero Anaydis," Chakotay said. "He was a Bajoran vedek. He worked with the Maquis,"
"Doing what," I said.
"Counterintelligence, He was thrown out for experimenting with mind control, He thought it was a good way to recruit agents," Chakotay said.
"Well, Apparently, he was successful at recruiting our tactical officer," I said. "These incantations and symbols they must 've triggered something in Tuvok preconditioned behaviour instructions,"
"I should've known you'd show up again," Chakotay said.
"Chakotay," I said.
"Teero was a fanatic, He'd go to any extreme for the Maquis, He called the rest of us traitors for rejecting his ideas, Swore he'd fight the war on his own if he had to," Chakotay said.
"Why instruct Tuvok to Mind meld with Voyager's Maquis 35,000 lightyears from Earth," 7 said.
"I'd like Tuvok to take a look at this message, Maybe it'll jog his memory," I said. "But something is off about this, 7's right, Something else is going on here,"

"It's him," Tuvok said.
"His name is Teero Anaydis," I said.
"Teero," Tuvok said.
"He worked for Maquis Counterintelligence," I said.
"Yes," Tuvok said. "I remember meeting him, I was undercover doing reconnaissance on a colony near the Badlands, He was a Vedek at the Bajoran Temple there,"
"Go on," I said.
"We spoke, Briefly," Tuvok said. "He was interested in Vulcan Culture, That's all I remember,"
"Maybe that's all he wanted you to remember, He was developing some kind of mind control technique," I said. "We think he used it on you 7 years ago, What is it,"
"I was restrained," Tuvok said. "Very frightened,"
"What did he do to you," I said.
"I can't remember," Tuvok said.
"Try," I said.
"I can't," Tuvok said.
"Tuvok if We're going to help you we need to find out," I said. The Last time you meditated it helped the memories resurface, didn't it, You've helped me meditate, I think I've learned a thing or 2 about the process, Let me try to guide you," As the Security lowered the forcefield as I got in. As the Forcefield came back on as I got in. "Where are you,"
"In the Laboratory, Underground," Tuvok said.
"Is Teero there," I said.
"There is someone, It's him," Tuvok said.
"Describe what's happening," I said. "Tuvok, Tuvok, Tuvok, Tuvok, Talk to me. Tuvok,"
"Stay away from me," Tuvok said.
"Tuvok," I said.
"No," Tuvok said.
"Tuvok," I said.
As He threw me back on the bed. As I stopped the guard.
"Tuvok to Chakotay," Tuvok said.
"Go ahead," Chakotay said.
"Pagh tem far B'tanay," Tuvok said.
"Understood," Chakotay said.
"McCall to Chakotay, Chakotay, Respond," I said. "Pagh tem far B'tanay, What did that mean, Tuvok, Tell me,"
"This is a holy time, A time of awakening," Tuvok said.
"This Teero has awakened you to do what," I said. "If you can remember, you can fight him, You can resist, What does he want,"
"To give us instructions," Tuvok said.
"What Kind of instructions," I said.
"No," Tuvok said.
"Why were you using Mind melds," I said. "What did Teero want you to do,"
"To awaken the others," Tuvok said. "No,"
"Focus on me," I said.
"You don't control me," Tuvok said.
As we went to Red Alert.
"McCall to Bridge, Report," I said. As I got out as we headed up there.
As I turned the corner as the security behind me got shot. By Chakotay.
"What the Hell are you doing," I said.
"I think it's obvious, I'm taking control of your ship," Chakotay said. "Within the hour. All Starfleet personnel will be locked in their quarter, Step back in the Brig, Leah,"
"What's Teero Done to you," I said.
"He simply helped us remember who we are, We're Maquis, We've always been Maquis," Chakotay said.
"The Rebellion ended 3 years ago," I said. "You know that,"
"In the Alpha Quadrant maybe, Not on this ship," Chakotay said.
As he started to take me back.
"Torres to Chakotay," B'Elanna said.
"Go ahead," Chakotay said.
"Deck 11 is secure," B'Elanna said.
"Acknowledged," Chakotay said.
"We're 35,000 lightyears from Earth Chakotay, No one out here even knows about the Maquis," I said. "It doesn't make sense, There's nothing you can accomplish,"
"As long as we exist so does the rebellion," Chakotay said.
"That's Teero Talking," I said. "He was unstable you said so yourself," As they put me into the Brig.
"We have no intention of hurting any of you," Chakotay said.
"Your orders, Captain," Tuvok said.
"Take your station," Chakotay said.

Then I got Taken out of the Brig and up to my ready room. Where Chakotay and Tuvok were.
"Consider this a test of your loyalty," Chakotay said. "It's set to Kill,
"You said you wouldn't hurt anyone," I said. "You're in control of your actions, Not Chakotay, Not Teero,"
"Tuvok," Chakotay said.
"Don't do this," I said.
As The Phaser only hissed.
"This Phaser is defective," Tuvok said.
"Take her back to the Brig," Chakotay said.
As I was taken back there and inside.
"Your weapon," Tuvok said.
"I thought you might like your ship back," Chakotay said.
"No more rebellion," I said.
"It took another mind meld with Tuvok, But I'm fine," Chakotay said.
"Tuvok, you're all right," I said.
"I am in control again, Captain," Tuvok said.
"Whatever you said to him worked," Chakotay said.
"Then let's get back on the road," I said.

"Captain's Log Stardate 54101.9, It's over. All the attacks have stopped and the crew is all back to normal again. Chakotay and the rest of the former Maquis have return full control of Voyager back to me. As they have recovered from what has taken place. Chakotay feels a bit better. But is still worried about Teero trying to do it again. I plan to inform Starfleet command on what has happened here. Hopefully, they can track down Teero before he is able to retry. End Log," I said.
As I headed down to the Holodeck.
As my Girls were all with Mezoti and 7. As I saved a sat for Tuvok. As I saw him and waved him over.
"I've saved you a seat," I said.
"How long is this entertainment," Tuvok said.
"I'm not sure, Tom said something about a double feature, People back home called it 3D," I said. "I've been meaning to ask you, How did you know that Phaser wasn't charged,"
"Chakotay doubted my loyalty, He wouldn't have given me an active weapon," Tuvok said.
"Not exactly ironclad Logic," I said.
"Call it a hunch," Tuvok said.
"Remind me to pay more attention to your hunches," I said.
