"It's a replicated fake," B'Elanna said.
"The Program running in sickbay is from one of Doc's Old training files," Tom said.
"I want someone to tell me how this snake oil salesman managed to evade every security protocol on the ship," I said.
"I take Full responsibility," Tuvok said.
"I'm not interested in fault," I said. "I just want to know how it happened,"
"Gar spent the night in sickbay, He claimed to have gotten food poisoning at dinner," Neelix said.
"He had plenty of time to learn about the mobile emitter from the Doctor," Chakotay said.
"Who I'm sure was more than willing to extol its virtues," I said.
"Medical logs show the training file was activated just before Car left Voyager," B'Elanna said.
"Scan for his ion trail, And let's review safeguards for accessing low security files, Shall we, Tuvok," I said.

"Captain, Don't blame Tuvok for what happened, It was my fault," Neelix said.
"How so," I said.
"Gar kept complaining how bland his dinner was, so I added a few exotic spices," Neelix said.
"I'm not sure I see your point," I said.
"I was trying so hard to create something he liked that I didn't take his alien physiology into account," Neelix said. "Everyone assuming he faked his illness but I might have really made him sick,"
"It's not as if your cooking turned him into a thief," I said.
"No, but if he hadn't gone to sickbay, he may never have come up with a plan to kidnap the Doctor," Neelix said. "Much less have the opportunity to do it,"
"In my experience Neelix, Men like Gar have no trouble finding opportunities to take advantage of other people," I said.
"Well, I just hope there's something I can do to help find the Doctor," Neelix said.
"Well, when and if that opportunity arises, I'm sure you'll make the most of it," I said.

"The warp trail ends here, Gar should be directly ahead," Tuvok said.
"All Stop," I said. "Red Alert," As the Klaxons went Red. "On screen,"
"It's emitting a false warp signature," Tuvok said.
"Looks like we've underestimated Mr. Gar Again," I said.
"Now what," Tom said.
"There may be another way to find him," Tuvok said.
"What do you have in mind," Chakotay said.
"He traded us high grade iridium which has a very brief half life, His ship is slow, Logic suggest he acquired the substance within a radius of 3 light years," Tuvok said.
"Cross reference our sensor log and long range scans," I said.
"2 Planets, No atmosphere, or technology," Harry said. "A T-class Nebula, Here's something, An asteroid with approximately 200 humanoid lifesign, Subterranean structures,"
"Sounds like a mining operation," Chakotay said.
"If that's where Mr. Gar acquired the iridium, They may be able to help us find him," Tuvok said.
"Tom how fast can you get us there," I said.
"Less than 2 hours, If we push our engines to the max," Tom said.
"Do it," I said.

"We're being hailed," Tuvok said.
"Open a channel," I said.
"I want my iridium back now," He said.
"I beg your pardon," I said.
"I've scanned your ship, I know you've got it on board," He said.
"Yes, we obtained it from a man called Gar, A merchant," I said.
"You mean thief," He said.
"So you have had the pleasure of meeting him," Chakotay said.
"He was here 2 days ago he sold us 3,000 Induction units, He was gone a day before we realized he'd also stolen 20 kilos of ore," He said.
"We had a similar experience, Maybe we can help each other," I said.
"How," He said.
"Do you have any idea where we might find him," I said.
"Will you return my iridium," He said.
"By all means, But Gar only traded us half of what he stole from you," I said. "However we might be able to get the rest of it back,"
"All I can tell you, is that induction units came from a planetoid called Velos," He said.

"He convinced me to let him take the induction units on consignment, That was more than 10 days ago, I haven't heard from him since," Kipp said.
"You appear to be an experienced merchant, Mr. Kipp," Tuvok said. "Why would you trust someone like Gar,"
"He came highly recommended," Kipp said.
"By Whom," Tuvok said.
"A buyer I know. He said he's been trading with Gar for years," Kipp said.
"Do you know where we can find this buyer," I said.

"Yes Captain, I am the fool who said that Gar could be trusted," He said.
"Sounds like you've changed your mind," I said.
"I should have known it was a mistake, but, Well you see, I have never been able to say no to my wife," He said.
"What does she have to do with it," Tuvok said.
"Well, she's the one who asked me to recommend Gar," He said.
"Then she must know him well," Tuvok said.
"They're friends," He said.
"May we speak with her," Tuvok said.
"She's not here," He said.
"Do you know where we might find her," I said.
"She left me," He said.

"You're a women, You saw my husband with your own eyes, Overweight, Depressed you would have left him too," She said. "Especially if you had met someone as exciting as Gar,"
"Yes, he's very exciting," I said.
"That's why you're looking for him, isn't it, You want him for yourself," She said.
"I assure you, I have no romantic interest in him whatsoever," I said.
"Why, Not good enough for you," She said.
"No it's not that, It's just that," I said. "I already have a man,"
"We have a business opportunity for Mr. Gar, One that will expire, if we don't find him soon," Tuvok said.
"He's on his way to the gambling tournament on Selek 4, When you see him tell him to hurry home," She said. As it cut off.
"Fucking hell, She worse than a bloody Ferengi," I said.

"I have picked up Gar's ship directly ahead," Tuvok said.
"Again," Tom said.
"Red Alert," I said as the Klaxons went Red.
"I'm reading his bio signs," Tuvok said.
"Any sign of the Doctor or his emitter," Chakotay said.
"Not yet," Tuvok said.
"Should I hail Gar," Harry said.
"If we let him know we're here, he may try to slip away," I said.
"We could drop out of warp at close range, And grab him before he knows what's happening," Chakotay said.
"Let's do it," I said. "Tom, Tuvok," As we dropped out of warp and Grabbed Gar with a Tractor beam.
"He's hailing," Harry said.
"I guess we put him in the mood to talk, On screen," I said.
"I thought we were friends Captain, Why am I being treated this way," Gar said. "I think I deserve Better,"
"Where's Our Doctor," I said.
"I have no idea," Gar said. "I certainly hope nothing happened to him,"
"Scans are complete Neither the mobile Emitter of the Doctor program are aboard Gar's Ship," Tuvok said.
"Well of course, They're not," Gar said. As we got hit.
"He's trying to destabilize the Tractor Beam with a feedback pulse," Chakotay said.
"Compensating," Harry said.
"Don't Bother Harry, Just Beam him to the Brig," I said.
"Transport Complete," Harry said.
"Tractor his ship in and see if you can find where he took the Doc after he left us. Tuvok See if you can get any answer where our doc is," I said.
"Aye Captain," Tuvok said.

"We're coming up on the Planet," Tom said.
"Red Alert," I said As the Klaxons went red.
"Entering Orbit," Tom said.
"B'Elanna, Scan for the Doctor's signature," I said.
"Captain I got it, He's aboard a vessel above the Norther Continent," B'Elanna said.
"Can you get a lock," I said.
"It's not going to be easy, His program seems to be interfaced with the main computer," B'Elanna said.
"Hail the ship," I said.
"They're responding audio only," Harry said.
"This is Hospital Ship 42, Allocation Module Alpha," It said.
"This is Captain McCall of the Starship Voyager, I would like to speak with someone regarding a member of my crew, who is aboard your vessel," I said.
"Administrator Chellick is currently unavailable," It said.
"Then may I speak with someone else," I said.
"Only Administrator Chellick is authorized to communicate with alien species," It said.
"Screw this, Chakotay, Take a Team and bring him back," I said. "B'Elanna go with him,"
After a few minutes.
"Chakotay to Voyager," Chakotay said.
"Go ahead," I said.
"We have the Doctor, We're ready to beam back," Chakotay said.
"Acknowledged, Harry," I said.
"Got a lock Energizing," Harry said. "We've got them Captain, Transporter Room 3, Chakotay, B'Elanna and The Doctor are all safely back home,"
"Tom, Get us out of here, Maximum Warp," I said.
"Aye Captain," Tom said as we left orbit and went to Warp.
