A/N: This one shot was born of a simple idea I had a few days ago: what if Tonks transformed into a girl Harry and Harry freaked out because Tonks looked exactly like his missing twin sister nobody knows about? And thus this story was born!

"Harry?" Hermione asked, knocking on the door frame of his and Ron's bedroom at Grimmauld Place. She was pleased to see him sit in his bed and reading a book.

"What is it, Hermione?" Harry asked, glancing up.

"Mrs. Weasley asked me to come get you. She say dinner is ready." she answered.

Harry closed his book and put it on the table. "Thanks for telling me." he said with a smile. He dropped his book on his nightstand before standing up and joining her.

"What were you reading?" she asked curiously as they walked down the stairs to the dining room.

"A book on wizard 'genetics' – for lack of a better term." he said. "Did you know wizards have potions that can tell you exactly who you are just with a drop of blood? Not only that but you can even get a family tree! A few drops of blood and you get the name of your ancestors up to a thousand years ago, if you want!"

"Really? That's fascinating!" she asked, suddenly interested. "Where did you find the book?"

"It really is." Harry grinned. "And I found it in the library here. I asked Sirius if I could take it and he said he didn't mind." When she opened her mouth to say something, he added "Yes, you can take it once I'm done reading it." he chuckled. Hermione's cheeks turned pink.

Still, there was something that made Hermione curious. She wondered what made Harry want to take the book in the first place. Did he simply glance at it and found it interesting or was there something more? She decided to ask.

"What made you interested in the book in the first place, though?" she asked. "I rarely see you read books like that unless you're trying to find something specific."

Had Harry not been Hermione's best friend for years, it is likely she would have missed it. But, for a brief moment, she saw Harry wince at her question. "Oh, nothing important." he eventually said. "I'm just curious to see if something in the book can help me find out more about my family."

Hermione didn't immediately say anything. She felt like Harry was hiding something but not what. In the end, she decided not to ask.

"Could... could we do the family tree? For me?" she said instead.

Harry looked at her in curiosity. "I'm sure Sirius could give us the ingredients if we ask for them." he said. "But why are you interested?"

"I found out I was adopted this summer." Hermione said. Harry froze, looking surprised.

"Really?"

Hermione nodded. "My parents told me I was adopted before I came here. We..." She hesitated. "We aren't as close as we used to be." she told him. "Not since they found out I had magic. When Dumbledore came to bring me here, they didn't like it. We had a fight and they... they said... they said that if I didn't want to be in their lives – that it was fine by them. That I wasn't their real daughter anyway since they just adopted me." she completed before looking down at the ground in tears, barely noticing the horror in her friends' eyes along the way.

"I... I'm so sorry, Hermione." he eventually said, bringing her in a hug. "I wish I knew what to do, how to help you."

"You're helping me just by being here." she admitted, melting in his hug. She couldn't help but think about his hug, how it felt like she imagined the embrace of a brother to feel like. She was jealous of Ginny and on the few occasions she heard her complain about something her brothers did, she had to stop herself from telling her that she, at least, had brothers that loved her.

Eventually, Harry let go of Hermione and, in silence, continued to walk down to the dining room. She wiped her tears before they opened the doors.

"Ah, there you are!" Mrs. Weasley said as they entered. Around the table were all the other teenagers along with Sirius, Remus, Tonks and Mr. Weasley. "Just take a seat and I'll serve you a plate."

"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley." Hermione said. There were only three seats empty and one was next to Mr. Weasley. Leaving that seat for Mrs. Weasley, Harry moved to sit between Sirius and Tonks while Hermione took the remaining seat, which was between Ginny and Remus.

As they happily ate diner, Hermione heard Ginny ask "Hey, Tonks! Can you morph your ears into goblin ears?"

Tonks chuckled as most around the table turned their attention toward her. "Sure, I can." she said before doing just that. Her ears became long, pointy and green and Ginny burst out laughing.

Tonks transforming parts of herself during diner almost became a ritual. Every evening, someone (usually Ginny) would ask her to transform something and Tonks would acquiesce. As amusing as she found it, Hermione didn't understand how Tonks didn't find it old after doing it so often. In her place, Hermione would have groaned and told them no. The thought of not looking like herself for other's amusement made her uncomfortable.

One by one, between bites, Tonks transformed part of herself at the other's demands. Hermione found it especially hilarious when she morphed her nose into that of a pig. She wondered whether there were limitations to what Tonks could do. So, she asked just that.

"Can you transform your body into anything or anyone you want, or does it have limitations?" Hermione asked.

"There are limitations." Tonks shrugged. "I can't change into something too different from the human body so, for instance, I can't transform my skin so it's scaly like a dragon." She then took on a contemplative look before adding "Oh, and I can't take the form of a man."

"Really?" George asked, surprised. "So you couldn't look like me if you wanted to?"

Tonks shook her head. "I wish I could, because I would love to be able to change genders at will. But I can't." She then smirked mischievously. "But, there's something I can do."

"Which is?" Ginny asked, impatient.

"I can take the female form of a man." she said, grinning at the shouts of shock that filled the room.

"Really?" Fred asked, looking like he had smelled some good mischief. "Any example our dear Nymphadora may give us?"

"Do not call me Nymphadora!" Tonks hissed in the twins' direction, making Hermione's lips twitch in amusement. "And an example? Let me think..."

There was a moment of silence as everyone waited for Tonks. Then, smirked. She closed her eyes and her body began morphing. After a few seconds, Tonks with the pink hair had disappeared. In her place was a very old woman with incredibly long silver hair and twinkling blue eyes. It didn't take long for people to recognize her.

There was an explosion of laughter.

"Is that Albus?" Mrs. Weasley asked, hiccuping.

"I am Headmistress Albie Dumbledore!" she spoke, sounding very much like an old woman.

"Albie?" Harry snorted. Tonks in a female Dumbledore's body shrugged.

"Can't figure out a better name." she said.

"Do me! Do me!" Sirius exclaimed, looking and sounding like an excited child.

Tonks snorted before morphing again. There was another round of laughter as a woman with long, curly black hair and a slightly gaunt appearance took her place.

"I am Siriette Black!" Tonks said, her voice sounding surprisingly shrilly. Sirius' jaw dropped in shock.

"Siriette Black!" Remus repeated with a loud belly-laugh, burying his face in his hands.

"Oh, I'm never letting that go." Harry snickered, elbowing his godfather in the ribs and pulling Sirius out of his shock.

"I look like bloody Bellatrix Lestrange!" he exclaimed, his voice full of disgust.

"I think you mean you as a girl." George laughed.

"Same thing! Change that, Tonks!" the last Black said.

"Okay, okay!" she chuckled, raising her hands in surrender. She turned toward the other boys. "Anyone else want a turn?"

Hermione watched in amusement as everyone – even Mr. Weasley and Remus – raised their hands. Then, her eyes glanced over her best friend and she did a double-take. Harry's hand wasn't raised! If anything, he looked a bit uncomfortable. She wondered why that was.

"I'll do you, twins!" Tonks said, getting cheers from them. There was a pause before Siriette Black disappeared, leaving place to a young woman who clearly looked like a Weasley. This time, there wasn't much laughter as there was amazement.

"Holy shit!" Ron said, prompting Hermione to say "Language!" "You look like Ginny but older!"

"That's right." Mr. Weasley said, looking at Tonks in amazement. In her form as a female Fred and George, Tonks had the same hair and freckles as Ginny along with a similar facial structure and body stature.

"Well, I suppose there is no doubt Ginny was not adopted." George said.

"Though the question still remain on Ron." Fred added, which prompted said children to protest with louds "Hey!"

"Stop messing with your siblings, you two." Mrs. Weasley warned. "Trust me, none of my children are adopted. I remember very much carrying and birthing all of them, thanks. Very painful process." she said, causing her sons to send her uncomfortable glances.

"We didn't need to know that..." Ron said, making the women and adult men snort.

"Now, how about someone else. Harry, how about you as a girl?" Tonks asked before suddenly morphing.

"NO!" Harry, Sirius and Remus shouted in horror, earning them baffled looks. But, it was too late to stop her. Where an older Ginny had sat now stood a very pretty girl with long black hair and brilliant green eyes. She was a bit thiner than was healthy but had an hourglass figure that would make other girls jealous. Hermione couldn't help but see his best friend's female form as very beautiful. She felt a bit of jealousy over it, wishing she could look like that.

Suddenly, the sound of a loud scrapping of chairs brought her out of her admiration of Tonks' current form. She looked up just in time to see Harry, his eyes full of tears and horror, run out of the room. Looking the furthest away from laughing, Sirius gave Tonks one last uncomfortable glance before following after Harry. Hermione almost did the same, wanting to check on Harry. But Ron spoke.

"What just happened?" Ron asked, voicing the thought that was in the minds of most people in the room. Hermione really wanted to know too so, instead of following after Harry and Sirius, she decided to stay.

"I don't know." Tonks said, morphing back to herself. "I didn't think I'd get a reaction like that." she added, sounding very guilty and regretful.

Remus then let out a long and loud tired sigh. Hermione narrowed her eyes. She remembered how he tried to stop Tonks along with Harry and Sirius.

"Professor?" she asked. "Do you know what happened?"

"Call me Remus. And, yes, I know why." he said quietly, rubbing his eyes.

"Remus?" Mrs. Weasley asked, sounding very concerned.

"There's something not many know about Harry. Other than him, Sirius, and me, only Albus know. Harry..." he said, sounding hesitant. "Harry wasn't James and Lily's only child. He has a twin sister." he revealed.

Everyone looked at him in shock. Ron was the one to speak first. "Harry has a twin?" he asked. Remus nodded.

"Her name was Ivy. Ivy Lily Potter. She was Harry's twin sister. My goddaughter." he said, his voice full of grief.

"Was?" Mr. Weasley asked quietly. Remus nodded.

"We don't know what happened but, a few weeks before James and Lily died, before the Fidelius was placed over their home, Ivy disappeared. The Potters were hiding in a muggle hotel that day and James was alone with the children – I think Lily was on an Order errant." he explained. "From what James told us, he was playing with the children when he was suddenly knocked unconscious. Peter and I visited later that day to find him laying down on the ground unconscious. Harry was crying madly in his crib. He was alone. Ivy was gone." he said.

Hermione felt a tear leak out of her eye, feeling a lot of grief for her best friend. She wasn't the only one as Mrs. Weasley looked on the verge of sobbing.

"She was never found?" Tonks asked quietly. Remus shook his head.

"I've looked for more than a decade for any hint of her. But I've yet to find anything." he said. Then, he looked down and whispered "I think she's dead."

There was a sob from Mrs. Weasley. "Poor Harry...!" she said as she buried her face in her husband's shoulder.

"But... who could have kidnapped her?" George asked. He and his twin looked very pale, likely imagining a scenario where they had been forced from one another as children, never to see each other again.

"I don't know." Remus said, shaking his head. "For the longest time, I thought it was Sirius' fault, that he kidnapped her and brought her to Voldemort. But now... I don't know what to think."

"Do... do you think Wormtail did it?" Ron asked.

"Maybe." the older man said. "It is possible he brought her to Voldemort but... well, I suppose we will never know." His eyes turned to Tonks, who still looked morose. "That's why Harry freaked out so much when he saw you as a female him. When they were baby, we often joked about how we couldn't tell which one was Harry and which one was Ivy because, despite the fact one is a boy and one is a girl, they looked identical and could only differenciate them if you knew what to look for. The form your assumed... you looked exactly like I picture Ivy would look like today." he finished.

Hermione stood up and walked out of the room, not listening to Tonks apologize or Remus telling her it wasn't her fault. She didn't know why but she found the whole tale of Ivy Potter incredibly unnerving. It wasn't just the fact it happened to the twin sister of her best friend. There was something else that pulled on her heartstrings, something that made her incredibly uncomfortable. She just didn't know what.

She decided she would go seek Harry. She climbed up the stairs until she reached his and Ron's bedroom just in time to see Sirius exit it. "Is he...?" she asked.

"He's fine. Mostly." he added at her incredulous look. "Just – don't push him, okay?" he asked her. "I know you like answers but if Harry is uncomfortable or doesn't want to answer, then let him keep his silence."

"I will." she immediately agreed. While she did have questions she wanted to ask, she had no wish to make Harry feel distressed. If he didn't want to say anything, then it was his right.

After Sirius walked down the stairs, Hermione took a deep breath and entered the room. She felt a pang in her heart when she found Harry sitting down in his bed, looking down at the ground between his legs. His shoulders were shaking slightly and she could hear faint sniffles.

Hermione sat down next to him. "Harry?" she asked quietly. She heard a sob and, like by instinct, Hermione pulled her arms around him. "Oh, Harry..." she said, hugging him.

"Sorry..." he said, wiping his wet eyes. "For the way I freaked out." he explained at her inquisitive look. "I just... ever since I learned I had a twin sister, I wondered how she would look like. I don't even have pictures of us as babies – only Sirius and Remus' descriptions of her. And when Tonks transformed into me as a girl, I saw her, my sister. I freaked out. It made me feel like... like..."

"Like it was real. That it wasn't just a story but reality." she said knowingly. Harry nodded.

"It made me realize I really lost her. It was like she died all over again." he sniffed.

There was a moment of silence as Hermione continued to hug her best friend. She wanted to tell him Ivy could still be alive. But, she didn't know if it was true. Ivy Potter had been missing since 1981. The chances of her being alive were minuscule.

"When did you learn about her?" she asked softly.

"In third year, while Remus was teaching me the Patronus charm" he answered quietly. "I saw a memory of us as children with my mother and Remus. I heard my mother say to him that Sirius told her he was the best godfather and Remus snorted, saying he was a much better godfather than Sirius." he said as both he and Hermione chuckled lowly. "I asked Remus what that meant and he told me everything about her. That's when I learned about my sister and how she's been missing for more than a decade."

"I'm so sorry, Harry." Hermione said. "I wish I knew what to do, how to help you."

Harry gave her a wet smile. "You're helping me just by being here." he said, quoting her earlier words. Hermione chuckled.

After a moment of comfortable silence, Harry said "We can brew the potion tomorrow, if you want."

It took a moment for Hermione to figure out what he meant. "You mean the potion that show us our family tree?"

"Yes." he said. He grabbed the book he was reading earlier before opening it to a specific page. He showed it to her, allowing her to read it. "That's the potion. It's relatively simple and all the ingredients are common and cheap. Once it's done, we need to soak a roll of parchment in it and wait ten minutes until it dries. Then, we just need to let a drop of blood touch the parchment and we're done."

"Should be easy enough." Hermione asked, looking at the ingredients list. She already read the basic description of the potion's effects and discovered that it did more than give a family tree. It also gave more information about the individual themselves like their full name, date of birth, siblings, godparents, etc. And, it also made a list of magics currently affecting that person should it be the case.

"I'll ask Sirius to get us the ingredients tomorrow." he said.

"We'll brew it in the afternoon." she said. She then gave another hug to Harry. "Thank you, Harry."

"You're welcome, Hermione." he returned with a smile.

The following morning saw the teenagers wake up early to go find Harry's godfather. They found Sirius sitting with Remus in the living room. Harry did not wait and immediately explained the situation to them before giving them the list of ingredients. Sirius was surprised about what Hermione wanted but Remus understood, having been there with Albus when Hermione's adoptive parents shouted their cruel words. He promised he would get them their ingredients before leaving the house.

Remus wouldn't return until noon with all the ingredients necessary. Hermione thanked him profusely before she and Harry went to Grimmauld Place's brewing lab in the basement. They quickly went to work.

The potion was, thankfully, not that hard to do. With Harry preparing the ingredients and Hermione brewing the potion, they were done in thirty minutes.

"So, do we have our rolls of parchment?" Hermione asked.

"Here." Harry said. He took two and gave one to Hermione, keeping the other to himself. They decided that morning to test the potion with him first as they already knew his basic genealogy. "Is the potion cool?" he asked.

"It has cooled to room temperature, yes." she confirmed.

Carefully, Harry took his roll of parchment with a pair of tweezers and put it in the cauldron full of potion, soaking it. He then took it out and gently dropped it on the table. He gave the tweezers to Hermione who proceeded to do the same.

"Now we wait." he said.

"Now we wait." she repeated.

For the ten minutes they waited – as specified in the book – Hermione felt very impatient. She was moments away of learning her true heritage and was mighty anxious. Not for the first time since her parents threw the truth in her face, Hermione wondered whether she came from a magical family or not. She hoped her parents weren't purebloods – at least not the same kind as Malfoy. She would throw up if her biological parents ended-up being the kind to follow You-Know-Who.

"Well, I think it's done." Harry said. "I'll go first." Hermione nodded, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

Harry grabbed a clean knife and cut the tip of his finger. He let two drops fall on the parchment. They watched in amazement as the blood moved, expended and took different shapes until, eventually, there was readable text. They leaned forward.

HARRY JAMES POTTER

Father: James F. Potter

Mother: Lily J. Evans-Potter

Sister: Ivy L. Potter

Godfather: Sirius O. Black

Godmother: Alice G. Longbottom

Following Harry's direct information was a list of all the magic currently affecting Harry. The only entry on the list was "SCAR: Unknown Magic cast by Tom M. Riddle.". Then, there was the family tree, showing Harry, his parents, grandparents and more and more generations.

"Man, that's amazing." Harry said, in awe. Hermione looked in amusement as Harry lost himself in his family tree, reading and memorizing every name he found.

Then, she remembered she still had hers to do.

With a deep breath, Hermione took her own clean knife and repeated Harry's actions. She watched, anxious, as words formed on her parchment. Her eyes widened in complete and utter shock when it was done, reading the information that revealed itself to her.

HERMIONE JEAN GRANGER

Birth name: Ivy Lily Potter

B. Father: James F. Potter

A. Father: Daniel U. Granger

B. Mother: Lily J. Evans-Potter

A. Mother: Emma G. Granger (née Smith)

Godfather: Remus J. Lupin

Godmother: Marlene McKinnon

Then, in the list of magics, only one entry was listed: "FULL BODY: Extensive Glamour Charm cast by Peter P. Pettigrew"

"Hey, I'm apparently a descendant of Godric Gryffindor!" Harry said, pride in his voice. "How amazing is that?... Hermione?" he asked, concerned. Hermione was still looking at her roll of parchment in shock, still processing the fact that Ivy Potter, Harry's sister she had learned about the previous day, was her. Harry was her brother. James and Lily Potter were her parents. She had been kidnapped as a baby.

"Hermione? What's wrong?" Harry repeated. Hermione turned to look at him, feeling tears in her eyes.

"I think you should read this." she said quietly. Harry looked at her in concern but didn't say anything, only taking the parchment. A few seconds later, his eyes widened in shock and, for a moment, Hermione was afraid he would faint on the spot. Then, he looked up.

"You're my twin sister?" he gasped quietly.

Hermione nodded. "I am." she said with a wet smile.

Harry looked at her in the eyes. A wet laugh escaped him. "You're my sister... my twin sister...! This whole time I was wondering where Ivy was, not realizing she stood by my side since Halloween in First Year." He then stood up and, hugged her. "You're my sister!"

"And you're my brother!" she returned, sobbing in his chest. Despite everything, she was very happy she could call Harry her brother. She already saw him as one already.

They continued to hold each other and cry for minutes on end as they fully processed the truth and admired the fact they were holding their twin sibling. Then, Harry suddenly pulled out of the hug. "We need to tell Remus! He looked for you for years! You need to meet him!" he exclaimed.

Hermione chuckled. "I already met him, Harry. Remember?"

"As his student and his honorary nephew's best friend, not his goddaughter!" he said, his face full of excitement and happiness. He move to the door. "Come on, Hermione!"

"Alright, alright." she said, rolling her eyes.

As they climbed up to the parlour, they found their godfathers sitting together like they had been that morning. Remus was the first one to see them and did a double take at their sight. "Are you alright?"

"Of course I am! Why do you ask?" Sirius answered, confused. Remus rolled his eyes before kicking him in the knees. "Not you! Them!" he said, nodding in Harry and Hermione's direction.

Sirius blinked and turned to look at them. "Why are your cheeks wet? Was everything fine with the potion?"

Harry chuckled. "Oh, it worked better than we expected." he joked.

"They're happy tears." Hermione explained, trying to hide her nervousness. Remus looked for her for years. Would he be disappointed when he learned she was his goddaughter?

"There's something you two should see – especially Remus." Harry said before turning to his twin. "Hermione?"

"Right." she said nervously. "I have the results of the potion here." she said, giving the parchment to Remus. He unrolled it and, together with Sirius, read it. Their eyes widened in shock and, as one, looked up to her.

"Ivy?!" Remus asked, his face nearly white.

"Well, I go by Hermione now, but yes." she said with a wet smile.

Remus jumped to his feet and immediately took her in a hug. "You're here! You're alive!" he cried.

"I am." she smiled.

"I can't believe you were right there this whole time!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Neither can I." Harry laughed. "Hermione's always been like a sister to me. And now I learn she was this entire time!"

"You're finally reunited." Remus said, grinning at the twins. "I'm so happy."

"So am I. We've got to celebrate!" Sirius cried cheerfully, making the Potter twins chuckle at his enthusiasm.

"Yes, we will. But, before, we need to figure out what to do with that information."

Harry frowned as Hermione asked "What do you mean?"

"Well, you have, in essence, two identities. You're Ivy Potter, daughter of James and Lily Potter, twin sister of Harry and half-blood witch. But you're also Hermione Granger, daughter of Daniel and Emma Granger and muggleborn witch. You need to decide what to do with that. Do you want to keep your adopted identity as Hermione Granger or do you want to be Ivy Potter? Know that whatever you decide, you will still be part of our family." he said, making Harry and Sirius nod.

Hermione thought about it. For her name, she couldn't imagine herself being called something other than Hermione. Yet, she wasn't sure if she wanted to bear the Granger name after her adoptive parents cruelly called her a false daughter. Calling herself a Potter would bring her closer to her brother too.

And, being Hermione Granger also meant she would have to continue wearing the glamours Pettigrew put on her. She never knew why but she always felt uncomfortable with her appearance. She always found herself ugly despite her friends telling her otherwise. Now, she understood that, deep down, she always knew the bushy haired brunette she saw every morning in the mirror wasn't her. It was someone else's face. And, she wanted to be herself.

"I want to be Ivy Potter." she said. "But, can I keep my first name? I've been called Hermione my entire life and being called Ivy feels weird."

"So you want to be called Hermione Potter?" Remus asked. She nodded. "We can work with that." he smiled.

"Do we remove the glamours Wormtail put on you?" Harry asked her. Hermione nodded again.

"Yes. I never felt comfortable looking like this. I want to look like myself."

"I can understand that." Sirius said. He turned to Remus. "Will you do it? It's only right you remove the glamour on your goddaughter."

"I will." he confirmed. Remus took out his wand and pointed it at Hermione. "Ready?" he asked.

"Yes. Just do it." she said, closing her eyes.

Remus took a deep breath. "Finite Incantatem."

Hermione felt very weird. As the spell washed over her, it felt like a thick liquid was flowing down her body. She was tempted to jerk away and wipe herself despite knowing there was no actual liquid. It took a few seconds but, eventually, the feeling stopped. She opened her eyes to find Harry, Remus and Sirius staring at her with teary eyes.

"So, how do I look like?" she asked.

"I think you should see for yourself." Sirius said. He grabbed a mirror attached to a wall nearby before putting it in front of her face. She gasped.

"Wow...! That's me? I look just like Tonks did yesterday!" she gasped. Well, almost like her. There were a few small differences. Her cheeks were a bit rounder and her nose a bit pointier. Otherwise, she looked identical.

It was her. She couldn't believe it. The feeling almost made her giggle.

"It's you, sister." Harry said with a laugh, moving to give her a kiss on the temple. "I love you so much, Hermione."

"I love you too, my reckless little brother." she said, chuckling.

Their moment was broken when the door of the living room opened and Ron entered. "Hey, Harry do you know where Hermione is? Wait, what are you doing with Tonks?" he asked them, looking at Hermione with surprise. The Potter twins chuckled.

"She's not Tonks." Remus said, his lips twitching in amusement.

"But of course she is." Ron said. Hermione rolled her eyes.

"Who is me?" Tonks suddenly asked, entering the room as well. Her eyes found Hermione. "What the fuck?" she exclaimed before she turned to look at Remus. "Is that?"

"Ivy? Yep! Though she prefer to go by Hermione, now." the man grinned. Ron and Tonks looked at Hermione in shock.

"You're Hermione?!" they shouted together, their voices full of disbelief. "But how?"

"I think it might be best if we tell everyone at the same time." Hermione chuckled. "I don't want to repeat the story."

"Fair enough." Sirius nodded before casting an Amplifying Charm. "EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE, COME TO THE PARLOUR!" he shouted through the charm, making everyone jump and cover their ears.

"Did you have to?" Hermione glared to her twin brother's godfather, making him look sheepish.

Everyone jumped again when the twins apparated in the house. "Hello there!" they said together. "Why were our presence requi-" Fred started before their eyes found Hermione. Before one of them could say anything, Mr. and Mrs Weasley joined them, followed by Ginny who arrived last.

"Did you have to use that blasted charm?" Mrs. Weasley said grumpily. Then, she saw Hermione. "Ivy?!" she exclaimed.

"Hermione, actually." she grinned, earning herself looks of disbelief from the Weasleys sans Ron. She and Harry looked at each other and started telling their story. Hermione explained how she found out she was adopted before Harry said she came to him and asked if they could brew a potion to tell her about her biological family, a potion he told her about only hours before. Hermione said they brewed it less than an hour ago and found out she was actually Ivy Potter. Then, Harry talked about how they came here and eventually had the glamour removed off Hermione.

At the end of their tale, everyone but their godfathers looked at them in shock. Then, Ginny took a step forward and extended a hand to Hermione. Baffled, Hermione shook it. Grinning, Ginny said "Welcome to the 'I have an idiotic brother' club, Hermione. Current members, us."

"Hey!" Harry and Ron protested, breaking the ice. Everyone burst out laughing.

One by one, everyone congratulated Harry Hermione for reuniting with each other. They thanked them each and everyone of them.

They did have the celebrations Sirius proposed that evening. The highlight of the night was when Severus Snape arrived. He took one glance at Hermione before he yelled "Those damn Potters!" and ran out of the house. Fred and George couldn't stop laughing about it.

That night, Hermione went to bed very happy. While she hoped things between her and her adoptive family would eventually be resolved, she was happy she finally found her birth family, her twin brother, Harry.

She wouldn't trade him for the world.

A/N: I couldn't find a way to explain it in this fic but for those who wonder how exactly Ivy became Hermione, there it is:

When Peter learned Voldemort planned to murder the whole Potter family, he felt guilty. Afraid to be rejected by his friends and to be killed by Voldemort if he tried to switch sides again, Peter decided that if the Potters were to die by Voldemort's hands, then he could at least try to save one of them. One day, he went to the hotel the Potters were hiding in and sneaked in, the temporary wards they installed recognizing him as a friend and letting him in. He stunned James before taking Ivy. Then, he apparated to the muggle world, cast glamours on Ivy that made her look both different and older and gave her in adoption to an orphanage. Then, he went to find Remus and invented an excuse to visit James, which lead to them discovering Ivy is missing. Meanwhile, the Grangers decide to adopt a child since they can't have one of their own. They find Ivy and adopt her, giving her the name of Hermione.
