Ladies and Gentlemen. I just want to take the time to honor a very special hero.
He didn't possess any real superpowers like flying or super strength.
But he had the power to create. Create stories and create heroes even going as far as to make a universe.
That hero was Stan Lee who sadly died on Monday.
Rest in peace, Stan and thank you for changing our lives with your incredible heroes.

Chapter 89
A Mysterious Job
The next few hours or so were the best hours of my life in quite some time. Sieri and Finn enjoyed themselves as the Strauss siblings and even some members of Fairy Tail all either showed them a demonstration of their magic or tell them stories about past events. Sieri talked it up with Lisanna, Cana, Mira, and Levy while Finn even got into it by having a drink with Wakaba, Macao, and Elfman.
After that, the Strauss siblings and I took Finn and Sieri on a grand tour of Magnolia. I was hoping that we would have Master come with us, but she wanted to stay at the Guildhall to talk to Makarov some more. We showed them the cake shop, the bookstore, and even the public bathhouse. We even showed them South Gate Park and Kardia Cathedral. Everyone had a great time and Sieri and Finn were very impressed.
Eventually, we came to one final stop. The apartment building where Lucy and I were living at. Finn and Sieri looked at the building up and down inspecting it.
"So this is where you're currently living at, Willy," said Finn. "Looks pretty nice."
"Just wait till you see the inside of it," said Elfman. "It's quite the manly place."
"And this is where Lucy lives too, right? I've always wanted to see where she lived," said Lisanna.
I then led the group inside up in the apartments up to my room. When I led them inside, I heard Sieri and Lisanna gasp with admiration and Mira, Elfman, and Finn went to the living room to sit on the couch.
"Wow! This place is amazing!" said Lisanna. "I can see why Lucy recommended this place!"
"And the rent here is only seventy thousand jewel? That's pretty good for a place like this," commented Sieri. "This is a good find, Willy."
"Yeah. Sure the rent is a bit high, but it's worth it," I grinned. "I was pretty lucky that Lucy hooked me up with this place when I had nowhere to go."
"Doesn't Fairy Tail have its own dorms or something?" wondered Finn. "I mean you'd be a little closer to the guild hall if you stayed there."
"Well... I would but sadly I didn't know about that till after I started settling down," I replied. "Besides, it's a bit expensive to live over there. About one-hundred jewel to be precise."
"Well, I'd say you'd made a pretty good decision in renting this place," said Mira. "Though I wish you were living with us though."
"Yeah. I know. In the meantime, make yourselves at home," I spoke with a slight smile. "I'm gonna go in the kitchen and make some tea."
"You sure, Willy?" asked Finn. "We don't wanna put you out or anything."
"It's no problem. After all, you're all my guests," I insisted. "Just relax and the tea will be ready in a few minutes."
I then walked into the kitchen to prepare the tea. A few minutes later, I came back shortly with cups of see for everyone. As we sipped on our cups, the Strauss siblings and I all told Finn and Sieri stories about our adventures. I even told them about what had transpired in the battle at Edolas and how Lisanna turned out to still be alive even though we had assumed that she was dead.
"So you're telling us that Lisanna was sucked up by some portal called an Anima?" asked Sieri incredulously. "And Lisanna accidentally was sucked up by it and has been living there for the past years?"
"Yup. Seems pretty crazy, huh?" smiled Mira. "I couldn't believe it at first either. Me and Elfman personally that we'd gone crazy with grief."
"And Willy also took part in a fight with some kind of king that was the counterpart of Master Makarov?" asked Finn. "That must have been one heck of a battle."
"It was, but thankfully we won the fight," I said proudly. "And we sent that king packing!"
"That's great," said Sieri smiling. "That's our Willy for you." Then she looked at her teacup her smile slowly filling with nostalgia. "You know... I'm really glad that we're back together again talking like this. It's been a while since it's been just the six of us, hasn't it."
"Yeah. I never imagined that we'd be reunited like this again," said Lisanna. "I personally thought that we'd never see each other again after we... you know... left."
Everyone didn't need to say anything more to know what Lisanna meant. She was obviously referring back to when we left our original hometown, Osia, because of the villagers believing Mira to be a demon. The memory was still fresh in my mind and something that will definitely won't be forgotten.
Then Sieri spoke up. "Pardon me, but I'd like to ask the four of you something," she said. "Do you mind?"
"Not at all," said Elfman. "What's up, Sieri?"
Sieri then gently placed her cup on the table and paused for a brief moment until she finally spoke.
"Look... I know this probably isn't right of me to ask and I may open up some old wounds, but... do any of you regret leaving Osia?"
There was a few a seconds of silence as we looked at Sieri a bit surprised by her question.
Sieri then apologized. "S-sorry. It's just... back then, all of you considered Osia your home and us your parents. And to suddenly leave due to a misunderstanding must have been painful. I... was just curious is all. You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
Another silence went on. Then Mira then spoke up.
"It's true. There were tough times back when we were kids. It was hard enough to make a living just to support my siblings and me," she said quietly. "And things certainly took a nasty turn when my magic awakened. I could remember how people looked at me. They thought I was a monster. A demon. And as much I wanted to stay and try to endure it... I knew we couldn't so we had to leave. Now... as far as regretting it goes... I do have a pretty good reason to harbor some regret..."
She paused impressively as Sieri and Finn seemed to look at each other looking apologetic. But then Mira looked up towards them her eyes firm and unwavering.
"But... it was because I had to leave you two behind," she went on. "I mean... I had to force my friend and my siblings to leave the people who I loved like my parents. So there is some regret in leaving, but... some good things came out of it too." She then smiled. "I mean... sure we had to leave losing our home, but we found a new one in the process. One that accepted us despite our... origins."
"Yeah. And we made lots of new friends who we came to love like family," added Elfman. "They made us happier than anything we've ever experienced before."
"They taught us new things and even helped us learn magic just like Mira," joined in Lisanna.
"And whatever pain we went through, made us stronger in every which way," I said smiling. "And in the end, we all ended up together in the same guild as a part of one big family."
"So... I guess what we're trying to say is we have no regrets at all," finished Mira smiling.
Sieri and Finn appeared to be surprised. Then a smile worked its way to each of their lips.
"That's good," said Finn. "That's all we ever wanted to hear. But... we do apologize you all had to go through that. We... felt like we should have done more to help you."
"There's nothing to be sorry for," said Mira. "It all worked out in the end."
"Yeah. We all grew stronger and became real men," smiled Elfman proudly.
"Well... he's half right at least," sighed Lisanna.
"So where are you guys staying?" I asked. "Somewhere in town, I hope."
"Yes. In a hotel close by," said Finn. "We decided to set up shop close by so we could be close by." He then looked out the window. "And from the looks of things, I suppose it's time for us to head back to Master Tu-Chi."
"Aww. Do you have to go so soon? Too bad you couldn't stay over here," I said with a hint of disappointment. "The landlady doesn't exactly approve of multiple people in here unless it's for a visit. Not to mention that it's kind of small."
"Yeah. It's a shame. We could have made a huge sleepover out of it," said Lisanna. "And maybe would have been able to see Mira hug Willy like a teddy bear back when she was a kid."
"H-Hey! Lisanna, don't joke about that," said Mira blushing a little. "Besides, that was back when we were kids. Even I were to here, there's no way I'd do that."
"Oh really? That's not what Lisanna's been telling me," spoke Sieri in a teasing tone. "She said that you practically snuck into Willy's bed just because you were "keeping him warm"."
"Sieri, come on. Not you too," sighed Mira. "Can't I get through one day without you or Lisanna teasing me?"
"Not today apparently," chuckled Elfman.
"Come on, girls. Leave Mira alone," smiled Finn. "I swear none of you have changed at all even after all these years."
"Well then, I guess we'll take our leave then," said Sieri. "Thank you very much for the tea, Willy."
"Anytime," I replied. "You guys are gonna stop by the guild tomorrow, right?"
"Of course we will," said Finn.
"Until then, we'll see you tomorrow, Willy," said Sieri.
And with that, everyone left leaving me all alone in my room. I felt a little lonely but I didn't mind it. It was great spending time with them. After all, they were the first real family that I had before my parents died. It kinda felt like old times back when we were living in Osia. I couldn't help but smile feeling nostalgic myself.
"It's days like today make all the bad times I went through seem somewhat worth it."
I then sighed as I got ready for bed.
NO POV
"It's really a shame that we couldn't stay with Willy," said Sieri as they exited the apartments. "I was hoping that we could be like one big family."
"I know, right?" agreed Lisanna. "We could have had one big sleepover just like the ones back when we were kids."
"Come on, Lisanna. We ain't little kids anymore," said Elfman. "Besides, you heard Willy. The landlady over there doesn't allow it."
"But... if that's true then I wonder," said Mira thoughtfully. "How does Lucy put up with Natsu and the rest? I mean, after all, Natsu does have a habit of sneaking into her room a lot."
"Sneaking into her room?! How scandalous," joked Sieri. "I am surprised that Willy isn't staying with you and your siblings, Lisanna. Considering that you're all so close."
"Yeah. But that's what Willy wanted," said Mira. "And mean he has a right to decide where he wants to live, so who are we to intrude."
"In any case, we should get back to our room," said Finn. "Master Tu-Chi's probably waiting for us."
"Then I guess we'll see you later," said Elfman. "See you tomorrow then."
"By the way Sieri, we're still on at the guild tomorrow, right?" asked Lisanna. "Because there's something really important that I wanted to talk to you about."
"Sure thing, Lisanna," smiled Sieri giving her a wink. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
"What do you have planned, Sieri?" asked Finn. "Something within the boundaries of normality, I hope."
Sieri then gave Finn a wink. "Sorry, Finn. But that's a secret. Girl's only."
"If it's girl's only, then how come I don't know I'm not in on this?" wondered Mira.
"Sorry, Mira. It's a secret," grinned Lisanna. "Until then, what do you say we all head home? We'll see you tomorrow, Finn and Sieri."
And with that, the Strauss siblings walked off leaving Finn and Sieri alone.
"Those kids sure have grown up these past few years, haven't they?" mused Sieri. "I almost didn't recognize them."
"Yeah. I agree," said Finn. "By the way, why did you ask them that question before?"
"N-No reason," said Sieri shyly. "I was... just wondering that's all."
Finn then looked at Sieri his eyes serious. "You felt guilty, didn't you?" he said. "You're feeling guilty because you couldn't do anything to help them. That about right?"
Sieri then sighed. "What it that obvious? Or did you just read my mind?"
"It's because I felt the same way," replied Finn. "Ever since they felt, I always felt bad about letting them go. I mean they were like my own kids. But... I don't nearly feel as guilty, now that I've seen how they've all turned out."
Sieri smiled. "Yeah. I agree. You always know just what to say to a girl. You keep that up and I just might come to like you."
Finn chuckled. "Maybe that's what I've been trying to do," he said. "You just haven't caught on yet."
Sieri then looked at Finn, taken aback and blushing bright pink. But then Finn started walking just ahead of her.
"I was just kidding," he said aloofly.
This made Sieri a little cross as she puffed her cheeks in a pout.
"Finn, you're such a meanie!" she said huffily. "Don't you know it's rude to toy with a woman's emotions?"
Finn then laughed. "Sorry. I couldn't resist. I had to lift your spirits somehow. It's not like you to be so sad." Then he looked back. "Anyway, what do you say we head back to our room? We've got quite a few things planned for tomorrow."
Sieri gave a nod in response and two then set off to their room.
WILLY'S POV
It was now morning. I woke up just getting out of my bed and stretching my limbs. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, my usual routine. Then I got dressed putting on my usual t-shirt and shorts, my black sandals, and my wrist pads. The only thing I had left to put on was my necklace.
"Now where did I put it?" I wondered to myself.
Then as I looked at my desk, I saw lying on the surface. I walked on over and reached out to grab it, but then something in the corner of my eye caught my attention. There were three envelopes. One of them was the note that Org gave me about my parent's bodies, the second was the note that I wrote for the day that I would decide to go visit them, and the last one was the unsealed envelope that I haven't got the chance to open yet. I picked up the envelope and looked at it every which way inspecting it.
"I almost forgot about this thing. I wonder who it's from?"
Then I realized something. There was a strong possibility that the letter was probably another mysterious and threatening one. I didn't really want to open it after remembering what the previous one said especially since that I didn't have a clue as to who would send me these letters. However, for some reason I felt like had to know what was inside it. After standing there contemplating what I should do with the letter, I then placed the sealed envelope back on my desk and grabbed my necklace putting it on around my neck.
"Come on, Willy. Now isn't a good time for stuff like this," I said to myself. "You've got better things to do than to worry about a threatening letter."
I then walked out of my room shutting and locking the door behind me.
I was soon was out of the streets of Magnolia walking towards the Guildhall. Eventually, I came up to the Fairy Tail main guildhall once again. As I walked in, the guild was as busy as ever. I looked around trying to find the Strauss siblings, Finn, or Sieri, but they were nowhere to be seen.
"Looks like I got here a little too early," I thought to myself. "Either that or they're already out doing something. Oh, well. I suppose I can go over to the request board and see if there's a job I can go on. while I wait for them. Then when they get here, I can ask one of them to go with me."
I then walked over to the request board to find one alone person standing in front of it looking very indecisive. He was tall, taller than me but shorter than Elfman, had dark tanned skin, and wore strange tribal clothing, and had white tattoos. Two on each of his shoulders designed to look like suns and the other two were on each of his cheeks as stripes. I knew immediately who it was.
"Hey there, Nab?" I greeted. "How's it going?"
Nab then looked towards me as I stood beside him. "Hi there, Willy."
"Still can't decide on a job, eh?" I asked. "You're always up here every time I see you."
"It's not my fault!" complained Nab. "I just want to go on a job that best suits me is all. Don't judge me, OK?"
"I'm not judging you at all," I said. "I'm just wondering is all. Speaking of which, have you seen any high paying jobs that I can take up there?"
Nab then hummed as he took a moment to think. Then he snapped his fingers.
"Come to think of it, I remember a job request specifically asking for you. The reward is up to seven hundred jewel I think," said Nab. "It should be right here somewhere..."
He then squinted his eyes seeming to search for the request in question. I then looked at the board looking for the request as well. Then I saw it. Just to the left of me in the middle of the board was a request. It had a big bold headline along with a picture of a village which read:
HELP WILLY FALCONER!
REWARD: 1,000,000 J
"Hey, Nab. Is this the one you were talking about?" I asked pointing to the flyer.
Nab looked and he nodded. "Yeah. That's the one."
I then took the flyer and quickly skimmed through it. "Let's see... All it says is please help us. That's all it says. I wonder me specifically?"
"Search me," said Nab. "But that reward's pretty big. You'd never normally see a reward that big on unless it's a bounty. I say you should take the job."
"I don't know..." I said stroking my chin. "The reward's may big, but it seems too good to be true."
"What seems too good to be true?" wondered a voice.
I then looked to my right and I saw almost all of Team Natsu walking up to me. Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Happy.
"Oh, hey guys," I greeted with a wave. "I was just looking at this flier. Apparently whoever put up this flyer is asking specifically for me."
"Let me see," said Natsu as he took a flier giving it a quick look.
Feeling a bit curious themselves, Gray, Lucy, and Happy took a look at the flier over Natsu's shoulders. When they saw the reward, their eyes went wide with surprise.
"Holy crap! One million jewel?!" exclaimed Gray.
"If you earned that much jewel, that'll be enough to pay your rent for months!" spoke Lucy.
"Aw man! That's a big pay!" said Natsu. "Say, Willy, you mind if we take this job? We need money for food."
"First of all, don't go stealing other people's jobs when they were the first to get them," scolded Lucy. "Secondly, even if could, there's no way you could. It says here that they're asking for Willy specifically."
"So Willy, you planning on taking the job?" asked Gray.
"Truth be told, I'm not sure," I replied. "I find it a little strange that the request is asking for me specifically. Seems like some kind of hoax to me."
"Come on, don't you think you're overthinking this a little?" spoke Gray "Besides, this isn't the first job that's asked for a specific wizard. I've had my fair share of those kinds of jobs."
"Yeah. I remember one job I went on asked me to burn up some lumber and stuff," said Natsu.
"And what kind of job is that?" wondered Lucy flatly.
"Aside from that, you should take advantage of this, Willy," went on Gray. "If the job's specifically asking for you, you should go for it, especially since the reward is a pretty hefty sum."
I took back the flyer from Natsu and took one more look at it humming thoughtfully. Then I decided.
"You know... I guess I'll take up this job after all," I said. "Maybe I am overthinking this a bit."
I then went over to the counter about to go check in, when Mira came walking in.
"Hey there, Willy," she greeted. "Figured you'd be over here."
"Hey, Mira," I greeted back. I then took notice of the other members of our little group were missing. "Where's everyone else?"
"Elfman's with Finn hoping to have a sparring session as a means to show off his Take Over Magic," explained Mira. "And last time I checked, Lisanna and Sieri were hanging around with Cana and Levy for some reason."
"And I take it that you're going to work today?" I asked.
"Nope. I actually have the day off for once," she said. "Kinana's taking over for me for today."
"That's great," I smiled. "Must be nice to finally take some time off of work."
"So what's new with you?" wondered Mira. "Got any plans for today?"
"I actually was planning on going on this job that Nab pointed out to me," I said. "A job that's specifically asking for me apparently"
"Really? That's a bit of a surprise," said Mira. "Are you planning on taking the job?"
"Well... yeah. Since whoever posted this, must need my help in something that only I can do," I said looking back at the flyer. "I might as well go there and help them."
"By yourself?" wondered Mira. "You sure that's a good idea?"
"Of course," I said. "I mean I could use the jewel, but at the same time I could use something to test myself a bit."
"Now hold on just a moment," said a voice. "You're planning on going on a job that's asking for you specifically? On your own?"
Feeling a bit startled by the voice, I turned towards the bar and saw Master and Makarov sitting over at the bar.
"Oh, Master. Good to see you," Mira greeted. "You too, Tu-Chi."
"Yes, I am," I replied. "It is specifically asking for me, so..."
"Now hold on a minute boy," said Makarov. "I know that you're eager to take this job, but I don't think it's wise to go on your own. Something about this seems off."
"But Makarov, I can handle it," I spoke. "I mean it's not there's anything to worry about unless you doubt my skills."
"Now Willy, no one is doubting your skills what so ever," said Tu-Chi. "But I must concur with Makarov. Something about that job does seem a bit strange, so Makarov and I would rest a little easier if you had someone with you. That way if you're in trouble, you'll have someone to help you out of that said trouble. Plus if I recall correctly, you and Mira haven't been on a job together before. You could use the opportunity to spend some time together."
This made my eyes widen a little as I looked at Mira who looked at me back with earnest. She was right though. Since Mira was taking a break from her job, this was the perfect time for us to hang out and go on a job together. And judging from the look on Mira's face, she seemed to like the idea too.
"It sounds like a good idea," I smiled. "In fact, that'd be awesome!" I then faced Mira fully. "What do you say, Mira? You wanna go on this job with me?"
Mira's eyes seemed to brighten a little as she smiled. "Of course! I'd love to go with you."
"Then it's settled then," I said. "Master, me and Mira are gonna go on this job."
NO POV
As they took down the information, so they could take the job, Mira appeared to be calm on the outside, but inside she was completely ecstatic.
"This is great!" she thought to herself. "I'm finally gonna have a chance to hang out with Willy! We're gonna have a chance to be together! Maybe we'll be able to fight together and I can work up the courage to ask him about that." She then psyched herself up by slapping her cheeks lightly. "Come on, Mira. You can do this!"
"Hey, Mira. You all set to go?"
Willy's voice snapped Mira out of her thoughts as she smiled trying to be as normal as possible.
"Yup. I'm all set," said Mira. "Let's go."
