Alright, this one is back from the dead, at least for now. There are many pressing questions like "Why did you bring it back?" and "Is anybody even gonna read it?", but those are not important.
Should you go back before reading this short story, you will notice I have completely reworked every chapter. I found many of the previous drabbles to be horrible: they were the writing of a 16-year old boy, lacking in the maturity, wit and creativity I have deluded myself to possess now. Furthermore, my English was not quite as well-developed at is is nowadays.
I also decided to move to a drabble format. Working with 100 words is more interesting than having 200 words.

"Gomamon's Gambit"
In his first job as fully fledged doctor, Jou Kido quickly earned respect from his subordinates through clear, target-oriented orders whilst maintaining a friendly nature.
At a meetup of the Chosen Children, he's asked why he's so confident now when he was so timid in the Digital World. Jou speculates that Sora's and Piyomon's decision to make him team leader during that Overdell Cemetary business was the first step.
Hearing that, Gomamon considered admitting that he asked them to do so, but did not as he noticed Sora blushing and smiling after getting praised. As usual, Gomamon had Jou's back.
