Chapter 153
A Catfight of Demons
Mira and Green Ponytail, stared each other down, each one wearing a look of bloodlust, waiting for one of them to make a move, while the rest of us watched with bated breath. Then, the two girls coiled their legs while taking fighting stances, and launched themselves at one another, each one letting out a scream while throwing a punch, signaling the start of their fight.
Their fists collided, creating a massive shockwave as they shot past each other. A swarm of tendrils then shot out from Green Ponytail's body, shooting straight towards Mira, only to have her slice and swipe through them using her claws. As she sliced and cut through them, Green Ponytail then shot towards her, the ooze around her arm morphing into a giant sickle. As she charged at Mira with a wild cackle, intending to slice her in half, Mira clenched her fist and thurst it forward with the palm open.
"DARKNESS STREAM!"
Multiple tendrils made from her magic came shooting out from her hand, each one taking the shape of a demonic hand. However, undaunted, Green Ponytail sliced through all of them like it was nothing, and then swung her sickle. Mira crouched down and in a low mine-flip, dodging it and landing in a crouch. Green Pontail's sickle then morphed into a giant arm and swung straight down, but Mira once again dodged, jumping to the left and shot towards her while countering with a powerful blast of magic.
The blast sent Green Ponytail flying across the ground, until she flipped and planted her feet, sliding back while clawing until she came to a stop. With a predatory snarl, she launched herself at Mira, the ooze growings claws and spikes on her knuckles, while Mira came at her, covering her hands with dark power not backing down. The two attacked and punched in a flurry of punches and blows. Over and over again, the two clashed, their fists causing the earth to tremble as they moved and fought faster than the eye could see.
"Holy crap! Those two are, like, freaking strong!" Mary spoke. "They're moving so fast; I can hardly see them move!"
"That's Big Sis Mira for you," said Lisanna. "Once she gets serious, she lives up to her name as the She-Devil."
While in the air, Mira raised her hand, her gathering magic power taking the shape of a black orb, unleashed another spell.
"EVIL SHOWER!"
Countless dark bullets of magic erupted from her hand, indiscriminately showering throughout the area, including our location. Immediately, I slammed my fist into the ground using my Geyser Wall spell, summoning forth a geyser that erupted from the ground, shielding me as well as the others. Explosions thundered as I stood my ground, holding the Wall as it shook and bent with every tremor as I protected everyone.
I then dispersed my Wall, only to see that Green Ponytail had used the ooze to shield herself as well, making it take the shape of a large black dome that covered her entire body. She then shot out from and slammed both of her hands into the ground. Upon doing so, multiple sharp tendrils of ooze came shooting out straight towards Mira, who immediately spread her wings and jumped into the air before they impaled her. While in the air, she held her hands together, quickly gathering power in the form of a black and purple sphere.
"EVIL EXPLOSION!"
Mira then fired her attack, the blast creating a mighty explosion as it shook the area, creating a giant cloud of smoke and dust. It seemed that Mira scored a hit, but then Green Ponytail suddenly appeared from below, leaped into the air, and gave Mira a powerful kick square into her back, sending her plummeting to the ground. Using her wings, Mira slowed down her descent, only for Green Ponytail to shoot towards her and gave her a double-fisted blow to her stomach, sending her crashing to the ground.
Green Ponytail then opened her mouth and unleashed her powerful beam attack straight, where Mira hit, creating another earth-shaking explosion upon connecting. As she landed back onto the ground, the cloud of smoke immediately dispersed, revealing Mira was back on her feet, still raring to go.
"Well, I'll give you this, you're a lot stronger than I figured you'd be," Green Ponytail said to Mira. "You've got the same bloodlust as I do. Guess as the saying goes, "Don't judge a book by its cover."
"If you're trying to talk your way out of this fight, I'm not buying it," Mira spoke, brandishing her claws. "So why don't you stop with the small talk!"
She then pounced at her swinging a fist, only for Green Ponytail to block it by crossing her arms. Mira threw another punch using her other hand, only for Green Ponytail to bent back and counter with a kick to her jaw, while gracefully flipping to gain distance.
"My, my. Someone's a bit cranky," Green Ponytail giggled. "What's the matter? Did I make you angry by calling you a bimbo?"
Mira wiped her cheek as she glared.
"Don't let her get to you, Big Sis Mira!" Lisanna yelled out. "You can do this! Just stay calm!"
Green Ponytail then laughed. "So, this Bimbo's your sister, eh? That means that those two with the matching hair must be your brother and sister," she smirked. "Well, I'll say this, they certainly have a lot of confidence in you. It's a pity that they're going to watch me tear you to pieces, because they're going to have front row seats of your death! After all, we're just getting started!"
Her body then began to radiate with her killer's intent aura as the ooze bent and morphed around her body.
Mira then looked back towards us. "Listen! You guys need to grab the clock piece and get as far as you can from here!" Mira called out. "I can handle her!"
"You heard the lady! Let's get that piece, and, like, get out of the way!" said Mary.
As everyone else ran off to grab the piece, I glanced at Mira, wondering if she would be alright, but she looked back at me and gave me a nod, her way of giving me a silent answer. I then ran off to join the others to grab the piece. I had just started running when I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up on end. I turned around, only see Green Ponytail shooting towards me with her giant ooze claws extended.
"Where do you think you're going?!" Green Ponytail snarled. "You're part of the main event, you know!"
I clenched my fists, preparing to defend myself, but Mira came flying in and kicked her, cutting her off and knocking her away.
"Willy, go!" Mira yelled.
"R-Right!" I managed to utter, as I took off running.
"Well, well. It seems that you care quite a lot about your little family, just like your boyfriend," I heard Green Ponytail cackle. "Maybe I should start having fun with them instead!"
"Leave them out of this!" Mira shouted. "Your fight is with me!"
Thunderous collisions began to crack through the air, and the two traded blows once again, but I kept on running until I rejoined Elfman and the others. Elfman had just grabbed the clock piece when we heard a loud cry in pain, causing me to look up in time for Mira to shoot straight past me and crashing into some rocks.
"Mira!" Lisanna cried.
Green Ponytail gunned straight towards Elfman and Lisanna, firing multiple tendrils from her body. I tried to warn them, but then Mira came shooting from out from the pile of rubble, and used her claws to slice and cut through them. Then, a tendril wrapped around her stomach, and before Mira could react, she was being pulled straight towards Green Ponytail. Then, in an incredible feat of brute strength, she swung Mira over her shoulder and slammed her to the ground enough to make it crack and crumble from the impact.
"Oh, man! That, like, had to hurt!" I heard Mary gasp.
As Green Ponytail landed on the ground, she let out a mad fit of giggles. "My God, you're so stupid and sentimental, just like your boyfriend! Always caring about your lousy friends rather than yourselves! When are you going to learn that they're always going to be your weak spot to exploit?!"
Mira got back up on her feet, battered and a bit bruised. "Tell me, why are you doing this?" she demanded. "Do you enjoy hurting and messing with people like this?"
"And so what if I do? It proves that not only that I'm better and stronger, but it also gives me the greatest satisfaction and pleasure!" Green Ponytail said. "There's nothing like torturing your enemy to not only physically, but also mentally! Especially those who have lots of people they care about, or better yet, bargaining chips. But then again, I've already gone into what my kinks are with your boy toy." She then looked at me. "Isn't that right, Willy was it?"
I then remembered that night when I encountered Green Ponytail, and the mere thought of what happened still made me sick to my stomach.
"Look, lady, I don't know who you are, but you better stop talking like you know me!" I said to her. "I've never seen you before in my life!"
"Oh, so that's the way it is, eh?" Green Ponytail said, feigning disappointment. "After all, we've been through together on our night with intimacy? You're going to pretend you don't remember how much fun we had together? You naughty little bastard. Once I kill this Bimbo, I'm going to have to teach you a lesson in lying. I'm certainly looking forward to it, because I'm going to have you screaming Mistress Amina!"
The girl, now identifying herself as Amina, then licked her chops like a hungry lion, and I couldn't help but cringe, feeling a shudder go through my spine.
"You're not laying a finger on him or the others!" snarled Mira. "You'll have to get through me first!"
The She-Devil then shot forward and fired another blast of Dark Magic, only for Amina to bend back to avoid the attack, and shoot both of her arms at her. Mira crossed her arms, instinctively defending herself, but instead of hitting her, they shot past. The arms then grabbed hold of a large piece of rubble, and with a mighty tug, Green Ponytail retracted her arms while holding the boulder in her large hands intending to bash Mira with it.
"Mira! Look out!" yelled Elfman.
Luckily, Mira caught on and turned around, and when she saw the boulder coming toward her, she jumped up to dodge, only for a tendril to wrap around her waist. Before Mira had a chance to react, she was pulled straight towards Amina, who clocked her square in the jaw, sending her upward into the air. As Mira let out a cry in agony, Green Ponytail then shot two tendrils from her arms and wrapped them around Mira's feet and then using them as flails, pulled Mira down and slammed her to the ground with a thunderous impact.
When the dust cleared, Mira lay on the ground, stunned and unconscious, as her Satan Soul form faded away as she returned to normal.
"Oh, man! She, like, knocked the Satan Soul out of her!" Mary cried.
Amina cackled in triumph. "Well, well! That poor girl could talk all she wanted, but in the end, she couldn't take it," she said as she walked over to her, popping her fingers. "Too bad for her, this was a fight she couldn't hope to win!" She raised her hand, ready to deliver a killing blow.
"Mira!" Elfman and Lisanna yelled as they shot towards her, immediately switching to their Take Over forms.
"Leave her alone!" I yelled, as I also sped towards her.
But Green Ponytail laughed as she swiped her hand straight towards Mira's chest, intending to pierce it. Then suddenly, her body went rigid and frozen like a statue, her hand stopping inches away from her.
"What the hell's going on here?!" Green Ponytail exclaimed. "I can't move!"
Seeing this puzzled me, as well. Then an answer came from just behind us.
"Sorry, but you're, like, not touching that girl! Not while I'm here using my Holy Tact!"
I turned around and saw Mary, now holding a strange wand-like object in the shape of a human hand with its finger pointed, aimed straight at Amina.
"Mary? You did that?" Lisanna asked.
"You bet I did," Mary said with a wink. "My Holy Tact allows me to use my Conducting Art Magic, which allows me to control my target's every move, so she's, like, my puppet now. Just watch."
Mary then waved her wand, and Amina began moving away from Mira, taking a few steps away from her. Mary waved her wand again, and Amina began dancing in an awkward jig.
"Hey! Knock it off!" Amina yelled, her cheeks blushing bright red. "You're starting to piss me off!"
"Aw, but you're totes funny when you're dancing," Mary laughed. "Why don't you show us some funky moves?"
With another wave of her wand, Amina then began to spin around like a top and while performing more dancing moves. Mary began to laugh, enjoying herself a bit while Elfman, Lisanna, and I watched not sure what to make of this.
Mary then looked back at us. "Hey, she's, like, wide open to attack now," she said. "So, you can attack her like at any time."
"Oh yeah! That's right!" Elfman said, suddenly remembering. "Normally, I hate to kick a person while they're down, but I'll make an exception in this case!"
"Let's teach her a lesson, Big Bro!" agreed Lisanna.
Using his Take Over Magic, Elfman changed his arm into one that was large and black metal plates and sharp claws. Lisanna also switched to a Take Over form as well. Her arms, and feet now furry blue with striped paws reminiscent of a cat. She also had a pair of cat ears on top of her head and a tail, and wore a matching two-piece bikini. The two attacked Amina raring to get payback for what she did to Mira, but then Amina glared dangerously.
"Don't think for a minute that you've gained the upper hand!" Amina snarled.
Then from her chest, a giant tendril erupted, barreling past Elfman and Lisanna sending them to the ground, and continued straight towards Mary. Seeing that she was in danger, I jumped into her pushing her to the ground as it shot past.
Amina, now able to move again, then growled like a beast. "I've played around with you punks long enough! Now you've gone and made me mad! Forget killing that Bimbo! I'll take care of you all first, starting with that wand witch!"
She then pounced straight towards Mary and me, her arms morphing into blades. I immediately jumped up and cloaked my hands with my magic and swung at her. My fists clashed with her swords as the two of us fought, I then inhaled deeply about to use my breath attack, but then Amina kicked me square in my face, stopping me. I rolled along the ground until I came to a stop flat on my face.
"She's coming!"
I rolled out of the way, in time for a large ball of ooze with spikes and a fail crash next to me as I jumped to my feet, but then a tendril shot me straight into my gut knocking the wind out of me and sending me crashing into a rock back first. As I used the rock for support to get up, I could taste the blood in my mouth as well as feel some dripping out of my nose.
I then looked up, and I saw Elfman, now in his Take Over Beast Soul form, go on the attack as he swung at Amina with his claws. But Amina, now avoided them all with ease and punched Elfman into the gut hard, making his eyes bug out from the impact. Then she hit him again on each of his cheeks a couple of times, grabbed his face kneeing it hard, and then, grabbed him by the horns, throwing him down, planting his face in the ground.
Lisanna leaped into the fray, attempting to scratch her with her claws while Mary tried using her Holy Tact. This time, as Amina dodged Lisanna, she grabbed her by the forearm and swung her around, throwing her right into Mary, the two girls landing in a heap. And to top it all off, Amina opened her mouth and unleashed a powerful blast from her mouth at the two, the beam exploding on contact. Lisanna and Mary both screamed in pain as they went flying as they fell to the ground.
"Damn! She's faster than she was before, and she's whipping out more power and forms of that ooze than before! How the heck did she get like this in a short amount of time?!"
"Aw, what's the matter, Willy? For some reason, your heart's just not into this," said Amina. "Why don't you get wild and crazy like on our night together? Don't tell me that you're still trying to play dumb and innocent."
I couldn't give her an answer. I was out of breath and a bit dazed and battered.
Amina then went over to Lisanna and then picked her up by the head, enticing a whimper from her as she struggled to get free. "Fine. If you don't give me what I want, then maybe your so-called friends can get you in the mood?"
"Let her go!" I yelled. "She's got nothing to do with this!"
But before Amina had a chance to squeeze, a stream of water blasted squirted right into her face, forcing her to let go of Lisanna out of surprise. Amina wiped her eyes and snapped her head towards the direction it came from, only to see something that made her growl in annoyance as well as anger. Mira was now on one knee with her hand raised, unbeaten.
"So, you're still alive, eh?" Amina said. "Looks like someone's a glutton for punishment."
"I wouldn't say a glutton, but I'm not about to stand by while you hurt my friends and family!" Mira panted, as she got up. "And, I don't know what your deal is when it comes to Willy, but frankly, I'm getting annoyed of you messing with him! So leave him alone, or you'll answer to me!"
Amina stared, then she began to laugh rudely at her as she held her sides. "My god, you're quite the stupid idiot, aren't you, Bimbo? You're starting to make me feel sorry for you," she said. "I mean, here you are calling Willy your friend, despite everything that he's done to you and your guild? I mean, you do remember that he was once a dark mage, part of one of the biggest dark guilds of the Barem Alliance, right? You seem to trust him a lot if you're praising him so highly."
I was about to object, but then Mira angrily interrupted. "Let's get one thing straight! Willy is not a dark mage! He was under a spell!" she snapped fiercely. "Not only that, but you're the ones that branded him a traitor in the first place! Willy will always have our trust because he's a member of our family, and is our trusted friend, and we'll always have his back, no matter what!"
I looked across to Mira, surprised that she was speaking so highly of me.
"You speak so highly of him, like he's some kind of hero," Amina sneered. "Give me a break. He's the furthest thing from a hero. There's a reason why he's earned the nickname "Traitor of the Barem Alliance." He's not only a traitor, but he's also a coward and a murderer."
"What did you say?!" I heard Elfman growl.
"That's right. Willy may seem the perfect good boy for a guild such as yours, but the truth is, he's nothing but a spineless coward waiting for the chance to betray someone else," Amina went on. "He's the furthest thing from trustworthy as you claim he is. He's hurt and caused pain to hundreds of people, and was even a part of the Nirvana plan. He even was responsible for a death that occurred seven years ago."
My heart seemed to freeze as my eyes went wide. Was Amina talking about Finn, or was she talking about Don Ghira? If she was talking about Finn, how did he know about that? Either way, this was the last thing that I wanted Mira and the others to hear.
"You're a liar! Willy would never be as low as to kill anyone, unlike people like you!" Mira yelled. "Take that back, or else!"
"As if I would! Why should I when you and I both know it's the truth?" Amina mocked. "You may think the punk's sweet and innocent, but I caught a glimpse of the real Willy, and he's far from being a good person much less trustworthy. He's a ruthless killer, an unstable man willing to kill anyone who gets in his way. For that matter, he's nothing but a big liar, using any person for is own benefit, and you idiots are no exception."
"Shut your mouth!" Mira shouted. "Willy is not a liar! He would never lie to any of us! Especially to his family!"
"You sure about that?" Amina question with a grin. "How do you know that bastard hasn't been lying to you already? Even the purest of hearts have told a lie or a secret some time in their lives, and I'm willing to bet that he's been lying and keeping secrets from you, isn't that right, Willy? After all, he was there on the night of our fateful encounter, or did he forget to mention that?"
Mira looked across towards me, now wearing a look that was asking for confirmation of Amina 's word. I didn't know what to say to her. All I could do was look towards the ground, unable to say a word.
"That's what I thought," Amina chuckled cruelly. "You can go around saying that he's trustworthy all you want, but the truth of the matter is, you not only don't know anything about him, but I'm starting to think that you don't even trust him either. Or are you are your friends just that naive?"
"Enough!" Mira snapped. "I've had just about enough of your mouth!"
"What's the matter, Ms. Bimbo? Having a hard time accepting the truth?" mocked Amina. "Whether you believe it or not, it doesn't matter, because after I crush you, wimps, I'll be taking my sweet time with Willy, and you can believe that I'm going to enjoy it!"
"I've had just about enough of you!" Mira snapped, her hands clenched at their sides tightly, and her eyes wide in a menacing glare. "If you think that you can kill me, I dare you to try!"
"Is that supposed to scare me?!" Green Ponytail mocked. "You're finished! Your Satan Soul failed you, and now you're nothing but a weak, helpless little bimbo! Now you say goodbye!"
Amina rapidly charged up power from her mouth and then unleashed a powerful blast that was larger and powerful than before. The attack made an earth-shaking explosion on contact, the wind from it alone, almost knocking me over.
"No! Mira!" I yelled.
Amina laughed in triumph, thinking that she was the victor of her fight, but then her mood soon changed as did mine. For when the smoke from the explosion cleared, Mira was still standing completely unharmed. However, she was in a completely different form.
Sky blue scales now covered her forearms, hands, legs, like armor. Those same scales also covered the sides of her face, going upwards into a pair of horns, and also made her ears long and pointed. A long stocky tail sprouted forth from her behind, long, dragon-like, and colored the same as the scales, and fin-like protrusions came out from the outer sides of her forearms as her claws extended. Her clothes had also changed into a one-piece suit colored dark blue with light blue stripes, leaving the bust, belly, and back exposed. Finally, a large pair of matching angel-like wings sprung forth from her back, which jutted upward.
"What in the heck?" I couldn't help but gasp. "Is that...?"
"Another Satan Soul!" finished Lisanna.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Mary cried. "No one told me anything about that! You'd think that she would've, like, told us about it or something!"
Elfman, on the other hand, was more scared than awestruck. "This is bad! Super bad!" he cried. "Mira! Don't use that! Anything, but that!"
"Elfman, what's the matter with you?!" I asked. "Why do you sound so terrified?"
"It doesn't matter!" Elfman yelled. "We've got to get out of here while we can before it's too late!"
"But why?" asked Lisanna. "And what is that form? I've never seen Mira use anything like it before.
"That''s because that form is different than her usual Satan Soul," said Elfman grimly. "The reason why you've never heard of or seen it is that the Master forbade her from using it. It's a form that's known as, the Demon God, Halphas!"
"Demon God... Halphas?" I repeated.
"So, you've got another form of Satan Soul, eh? Big whoop," Amina scoffed. "It doesn't matter what form you take! You're still going to die here, and I'm going to take pleasure shoving my fist right up your-"
Mira then suddenly shot forward and reappeared in front of Amina, interrupting her. Before Amina could even speak, Mira shot past her landing a flurry of blows, making her cough up a glob of spit, as she was once again blown across the area and crashing into the rocks.
Then, Elfman scooped up Lisanna and Mary into each of his arms, and took off running as fast as his legs could carry him, much to my surprise. For as long as I've known Elfman, he wasn't the type to run away from a fight, yet here he was taking off like a scared doe. "Elfman! Where are you going?!" I yelled.
"Willy! Run for your life!" Elfman yelled back. "If you don't, you're going to get yourself killed!"
I looked back towards Elfman about to wonder why, when suddenly, there was a tremendous explosion that shook the area, causing me to snap my head back to the fight. Mira, in her new form, was now using her Evil Shower spell once more, her magic bullets raining down everywhere, making the ground shake. Taking Elfman's advice, I took off running, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.
When I was safe enough away, I turned back to see Amina pulling herself out of the rubble, while Mira floated just above her. Amina was now a mess, her hair disheveled, her clothes torn and her skin littered with cuts and scrapes.
"You know, despite you being my enemy, I must praise you for your courage," Mira spoke. "You're brave for standing up to an enemy like me. However, you're way too arrogant and cocky, and that causes you to lower your guard. It also disgusts me the way you take pleasure in hurting innocent lives. I believe it's time that someone taught you some discipline, and I'll be happy to provide it."
Amina's face went red with fury as she barred her teeth. "THAT'S IT, YOU BITCH! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU! ! !" she shrieked in an inhuman roar.
Her body exploded with ooze from everywhere of her body. The ooze wrapped around her arms and her feets morphing into large claws, and from her back, two pairs of formless wings sprung out. Her eyes began to glow in a malevolent glow of green as cracks ran down her face to her chin, both of the scleras turning black.
"I know that I'm not supposed to do this, but I don't give a shit now!" Amina snarled, her voice changing in tone. "As long as I kill her ass, I'll do whatever it takes! I don't care what happens to me! I'll kill you! I'LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU FOR PISSING ME OFF! ! !"
"What the heck is happening to her?!" exclaimed Mary. "It's like that weird mud stuff is taking over her body!"
"And it's making her crazier by the second!" said Elfman.
With a crazed shriek that would make a banshee blush, Amina leaped into the air and shot straight towards Mira at a more incredible speed than before, and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, while Mira parried the blows with ease while managed to sneak a few hard hits. The two went faster and quicker, eventually going so fast, I could only see two blurs colliding and crashing into each other as random shockwaves shook the air.
"Holy crap! They're going so fast; I can barely see them!" Elfman cried.
"Yeah. Mira is - actually kind of scary right now," Lisanna also spoke, stunned as well as fearful.
"Kind of, like, a bit of a stretch!" Mary gulped. "Those two are demons!"
I, for one, didn't say anything as I continued to watch the fight, unable to tear my eyes away. I'd be lying if I didn't think that this battle was something else. It not only showed how terrifying Mira could be, but also how powerful she is and why she was deserving of her title as well as the She-Devil.
Then, there was a strong and powerful shockwave, and I could see the two, Mira planting her foot square in Amina's stomach, which made her cough out another glob of spit, the wind knocked clean out of her. Amina attacked with multiple punches again, only for Mira to parry every single one and slamming her palm right in her face. Amina staggered, but refused to go down as she unleashed a powerful beam from her mouth. With a wave of her hand, Mira deflected it, as it split into pieces making them rain down the area, exploding on contact with the ground.
"I-Impossible!" Amina scowled, now starting to grow frustrated. "She deflected that attack like it was nothing! I can't even touch her!"
Mira then suddenly appeared behind her and gave her a powerful punch to Amina's back, making her bend dangerously backward from the impact, making her cry out loudly. Amina turned around, attempting to counter, but Mira punched her face with a right punch, a left punch, and a powerful whip of her tail that turned her around. Then, she swung her leg and gave her a mighty downwards kick, sending her straight to the ground as she held up her hand, beginning to charge power.
"As far as I'm concerned, you're the one who's made me angry," Mira spoke coldly. "Namely, because you taunted me by calling me a bimbo and a helpless barmaid!"
The She-Devil then held up her hand quick charging up a great deal of power in the form of a magic circle, and unleashed a powerful beam of magic that was violet with a sky blue spiral. The blast swallowed up Amina as it shot her straight into the ground, creating a violent and bright explosion that was bright as well as strong. I shielded my eyes while trying not to get blown away as the wind from the attack howled, and rubble flew.
When the light dimmed down and the smoke cleared, Amina was now inside a large and smoking crater, back into her normal state, roasted as well as bruised. And, for the first time since I've met her, Amina's face was now filled with not only shock, but also fear as her body trembled like a leaf. Mira then lowered herself to the crater standing above the girl, her voice cold as ice as she looked down at her.
"Not only that, but you also taunted my friends and family as well as threaten them!" Mira went on. "That is nothing short of unforgivable, and for that, you will pay!"
"St-Stay from me!" Amina whimpered. "D-Don't come any closer, you monster!"
"A monster? I'm the furthest thing from a monster," Mira spoke, her voice taking a turn for the sinister. "I'm a She-Devil."
"Oh, crap! Here it comes!" Elfman gulped fearfully. "Just thinking about what's going to happen makes me want to pass out!"
"Wh-what? What's Mira going to do to her?" Lisanna asked worriedly.
"Sh-She's not going to kill her, is she?" Mary squeaked. "I mean, I know she's, like, the enemy, but that'd be, totally, harsh!"
Worry began to bubble in my chest too. Was Mira so overwhelmed with rage by Amina's actions that she was going to kill this girl out of revenge? Mira then pounced on Amina, holding her down by her knee and slammed her claw down, causing a few feet of the ground behind her to turn to rubble, and then raised her other claw.
"Mira! Wait! Don't!" I yelled, thinking the worst.
But Mira had already swung her claw down at her. However, she stopped just inches before Amina's face, her index finger and her thumb pointed. Then, she said one single word.
"Bad!"
Amina's eyes widened with confusion as she stared at Mira.
"Bad!" Mira said again.
Amina's body gave a single tremble. Then her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she went limp.
I almost did a double-take from what I just saw. "She passed out?" I murmured, dumfounded.
"It's so terrifying!" Elfman whimpered fearfully. "This one time when she took that form, Mira was so desperate to catch and discipline an enemy, that she wiped out an entire town!"
"An entire town?!" Mary exclaimed.
"Well, it's no wonder Master forbade her from using it," Lisanna chuckled wryly. "I certainly wouldn't want something like that disciplining me."
I walked over to Mira just as she reverted to her normal state. As I came up, I took a glance at Amina, making sure that she was unconscious. I then let out a sigh of relief.
"Well, it's safe to say that she's out like a light," I said. "Nice work, Mir-"
But as I looked up at her, I saw the look on Mira's face, which made the words stop in my throat. She was wearing a frown that not only showed that she was a bit shaken up, but also confused.
"Willy, who is this girl?" Mira asked in a calm voice, her eyes never leaving Amina. "Not only that, but you didn't even try to deny what she said. Is what she was saying true?"
"N-No! It's not true!" I spoke immediately. "I would never keep anything from you! That girl was just spouting nonsense!"
I honestly didn't know if Amina was talking about Don Ghira or Finn, but that didn't mean that I didn't play a part in their fates. And now, thanks to Amina's big mouth, Mira and probably the others were even more suspicious of me.
Then, Elfman, Lisanna, and Mary came up.
"Seriously, what was that girl's deal?" Mary asked. "She was totes weird."
"No kidding," agreed Elfman. "She was tough, and she was using that same weird power that twins were using a while back."
"Yeah. Well, I suppose the important thing is that we stopped that girl from getting the clock piece," said Lisanna. "So, I guess we'd better join the others at the rendevous point."
"Y-Yeah. We better," I repeated as I looked back at Amina's unconscious body.
Our group then collected the clock piece and then went on our way, leaving Amina where she lay. The last thing I wanted was to leave her in her current state, but at the same time, it was for the best. The last I wanted was to let her reveal anything else she knew about me or start attacking us again, but no thanks to her, I had a feeling that things were only going to get worse for me.
NO POV
As Willy and his group went on their way with the clock piece in hand, the scars underneath Willy's bandages were beginning to spread even more, gradually starting to peek out from underneath them, now a darker shade of black. Not only that, and though it was small, a small bit of the ooze began to secrete from them.
Thing's are getting a little dicey for our heroes!
