/==/ Chapter Two /==/
Jaune lay on her bed, exhausted, stiff and sore. While the relaxants and painkillers the doctor had provided her seemed to be easing every twinge that floated about her body, she was still out of sorts. Aunt Glynda had escorted to the infirmary were she had to undergo multiple tests. None were overly invasive, but her muscles were still tender; and being poked and prodded was more than uncomfortable. She had been told to rest, and that was what she was attempting to do. She was alone in her Aunt's apartment. Glynda having had to leave to attend to classes and other academy business right after escorting Jaune back from her appointment.
Without the distraction of putting up airs being her other version, she had time to focus on her current situation... which was bored and miserable. She wanted to do something, but her body was protesting even slight movements. Sighing she rolled over to lay upon her back. She needed to distract herself, but wasn't in the mood to play games on her scroll. Maybe she could text her sisters, she thought. Saphron was always up for a chat.
Rolling stiffly to her side, she reached for her scroll, just then remembering the instructions Aunt Glynda had given her. She had totally forgot about messaging her team. Giving them the excuse that she had to leave early for a family emergency. Opening the chat app as she grimaced while rolling to lay flat on her back; she began to type.

"What do you mean Jaune is hiding something?" Pyrrha asked some anxiety tinting her voice.
"Like I told you, Blake and I f0llowed Jaune last night. He left the room around two in the morning... in obvious pain; but he didn't alert us, or go to the infirmary..."
"He went to see Professor Goodwitch?" Nora asked trying to confirm if she heard her Rennie correctly.
"Yes. She took him into her class, and then came out escorting a girl who was wearing the exact same clothes. Then the Headmaster showed up... and Blake and I returned to the dorms."
"This is not like Jaune. He's rather open about things... at least when it comes to what is bothering us." Pyrrha commented.
"I know, that's why I'm concerned." Ren responded. "He's hiding something from us, I know it; I just don't know what it could be."
"Maybe a health issue, he thinks we wouldn't understand?" Nora offered, "I mean we all know he feels like he's holding us back... if it is something that he feels makes him weak, he might hide it."
"That's possible, but what about the girl Blake and I saw?" Ren regarded his teammates, he could see the confusion with the developing situation. "I have no reasonable explanation... but I know what I saw."
"We'll just have to ask him when he returns." Pyrrha offered.
"That's what I was..." Ren was cut off as a notification ping sounded from all three of their scrolls. They each opened their respective devices, seeing a message from Jaune. Ren quickly skimmed the short message, "Bull shit."
"Rennie?" Nora asked not used to Ren cursing.
"It's a lie isn't it?" Pyrrha asked.
"I guarantee it is." Ren answered.
"The only reason for him to do that..."
"Is he's hiding something from us, like Ren said." Nora cut off Pyrrha mid sentence.
"I'd say this confirms it." Ren commented.
"So what should we do?" Pyrrha asked, worry colouring her words.
"Confront him." Ren stated flatly. "He's a valued member of this team, our leader and our friend. He shouldn't hide something from us. Especially if it is as serious as it appeared to be last night."
"Well the message said he'd be gone for a week due to a family emergency. Do we wait?" Nora asked.
"I think we will have too." Pyrrha answered, "I doubt if we message him asking what is really going on, that he'll tell us."
"He'd more than likely mute us, and then make an effort to actively avoid us, knowing that we wanted to have a talk." Ren added.
"So we wait, and what corner him? That might not go over too well." Nora offered.
"Not much else we can do." Ren responded.
"Then it's settled. When Jaune returns we sit him down, tell him what Ren has discovered and request an explanation from him."
"And if he won't give one?" Nora asked. "What do we do then? It's not like forcing him to talk would go over well, and to be honest that's not something I would want to do."
"To be honest... if Jaune refuses to talk... I don't know what we can do."
"Jaune's too open to not explain himself if he knows we are genuinely concerned."
"He's hiding something from us, Pyr... he might not be as open as we assume." Ren countered.
"Well we can't do much about it right now. He's not here, and wont be back for a week. It's almost time for class, and I'm hungry. We should get something to eat, and maybe make plans on how we'll approach Jaune after classes are over?"
"I agree with Nora." Pyrrha offered, "Ren?"
"I agree. We'll discuss it tonight after classes."
"What about RWBY? Do we tell them?"
"No." Pyrrha stated flatly. "This is a JNPR issue, we'll deal with it in team. Ren can you get Blake to not tell RWBY about what she saw last night?"
"I can ask her, but she might have already told them."
"If she hasn't let her know, we'll fill her in once we get answers." Pyrrha instructed, moving into her elected role as deputy team leader. "Now we should get something to eat. It's going to be a long day."
Nora and Ren just nodded, and the trio made their way out of the dorm. Pyrrha hovered at the threshold, her eyes reading the short message Jaune had sent all three of them for a second time. She wanted to reply, and ask him why he was lying to them, considering what Ren had told them. But she hesitated, and instead sent a quick simple reply... telling him they'd miss him, and to be safe. Putting her scroll away; she joined her teammates in the hall as the door closed behind her.

Ozpin sat at his desk, sipping from his mug. He was tired, and knew he still had a long day ahead of him. The events of last night, and Glynda's uncharacteristic behaviour... no that was wrong, he had seen the changes with Glynda as soon as Jaune had arrived. Glynda was a no nonsense teacher, demanding of her students, but he knew she was willing to step in harms way for any of them in a heartbeat. But how she was with Jaune was something on another level. He knew Glynda was basically an adopted member of the Arc clan. She spend almost all of her free time in Ansel with them. So of course she would have a rather deeper attachment to Jaune; but still.
Taking another sip, he activated his terminal, and started going through his messages. Even though he had sat down with Doctor Primrose earlier that morning, he was still interested in digesting the official medical report he requested she send to him. He knew he was going to have to make concessions to Glynda and Jaune. There was no doubt in him that Glynda wouldn't hold him to that. So he would gather information, and prepare his counter argument. He could see the value in Glynda's suggestion, but he was leery. It opened up the possibility of the Jaune being noticed. Even if the situation was explainable, it was notice Ozpin wanted to avoid at all costs. He needed the status quo to be continued, and that meant he needed solutions to the pain issue that Jaune was suffering.
"I'm going to have to wear it." he muttered to himself, "It's the only way I'll understand."
Closing the messenger program, he turned his attention to the object in question as it sat on his desk. He had picked it up from Glynda shortly after his meeting with Doctor Primrose was concluded. He began to reach out for the medallion, but stopped. Another thought, a rather outlandish one, he would admit, but it was a thought he wanted to follow up on. Really what did he know about Jaune, aside from what Glynda had passed on to him. He knew about the Arc family, few are those in Remnant who didn't. They were influential, to the same degree as the Schnees; maybe even more so. Considering their direct ties to the disbanded Royal lineage of Vale. They were an old family, and the founders of Ansel. Hence Jaune's father Nathaniel Arc holding the hereditary title as Magistrate of the almost Vale sized community.
Opening his private databases, chat program and search programs, he proceeded to activate the back-doors he had installed through out Vale's infrastructure. He began with studying the "official" application he had created with Glynda's help. Taking some of the data he knew was more or less truthful he entered it into the registry search function of the Vale Census Bureau. He had a suspicion, but he wanted confirmation. Several documents appeared in a list on his screen. Opening two of them he looked at what was an official copy of a pair of birth certificates.
"Jaune's has been altered." Ozpin muttered to himself, as he studied the document and the one of her sister Noir Arc. "Their birth-dates are too far apart, but too close. There is no way Jasmine and Nathaniel are Jaune's parents. So that begs the question who is?"
Pulling up the student id registry he isolated Jaune's photo and exported the file to the facial recognition program his private server contained. He wished he had a genuine picture of Jaune in her true form, but he would make due. While the artifact did alter one's body, it did not erase familial traits in particular those associated with facial features. Ozpin considered Jaune's photo. There were definite feminine features visible in picture.
"It should be enough." Ozpin muttered to himself as he activated the program. Standing up he picked up the medallion. It would take a couple hours, maybe longer for the algorithms to do their work, so he figured he might as well bite the bullet. Undoing the clasp, he reached up and fastened the artifact about his own neck.

Jaune was feeling better after having a long hot shower. Her muscles felt relaxed and the aches had almost melted completely away. There was still some stiffness, but she knew the best treatment for that as a little exercise, and she knew exactly the type she would benefit from the most. Entering her room, which was formerly Aunt Glynda's guest bedroom, she moved to her closet and slid it open. Dropping the towel that she had wrapped around her body, she began to search through her collection of apparel. She would need something loose for freedom of movement, but not so loose that it would interfere with her chosen routine.
Finding what she desired, she tossed the chosen items on her bed and moved to her dresser. Pulling on suitable underclothes she returned to the outfit she had tossed on her bed. After a minute she was full dressed in a matching light blue set of yoga pants and t-shirt. She then moved to her vanity and sat down. Playing with some accessories she soon was wearing a set of dangles proudly displaying the Arc double crescent. She skipped the make up and pulled on her spare Pumpkin Pete Collector's Edition hoodie that was draped over the back of the chair.
"Now for the piece that ties it all together." she hummed as she returned to her closet. It took her all of two minutes to make her choice and a minute or so later she stood from her seat on her bed. Her feet clad in a pair of light blue patent leather five inch heeled stilettos. "Perfect."
Picking up her scroll from the night table she shoved it into the front pocket of her hoodie, before grabbing a set of ballet slippers and hanging them around her neck. She then exited her room, and Glynda's apartment. She had spent almost three months here under her Aunt's watchful eye. So Jaune knew where she was going. This time of day with pretty much every student in classes, the gym would be empty. Thanks to her Aunt she had full access to all the amenities of Beacon, so she knew she would have no trouble gaining entrance at this time of day.
She swayed her hips as her heels clicked on the tiled floor. She was feeling much better and the little bit of activity she planned was going to pick her spirits up even more. She continued to hum lightly to herself as she made her way to her chosen destination. The aches and pains that plagued her that morning pushed to the back of her mind. Just being able to be herself was easily making her feel a hundred percent better. She hated that medallion, and she mentally cursed the Headmaster for making it her only option to stay here at Beacon with her Aunt. She was slowly starting to despise that man. He made her skin crawl, and if it wasn't for her Aunt being nearby she wouldn't trust a single word he uttered.
Her mom warned her of people like him. Snake Oil Salesmen, she called them. They knew how to talk and spin their words in such a way that you got caught up in the sound of their voice, and started to believe everything they offered as truth. She planned to voice her displeasure to Aunt Glynda tonight after they had supper. She didn't like the plan, she didn't want to be part of it. She wanted to be herself, and she was tired of playing at being a huntress.

Ren and Blake were on edge as they watch the rest of the students file through the heavy metal double doors of Professor Goodwitch's classroom. It wouldn't be much longer and the pair would find themselves alone with the authoritarian teacher. It had been a surprise, and not; when they were called out at the start of class to remain behind after the lessons were finished. They were even more apprehensive about the meeting having seen the mood the strict professor was in. It was pretty obvious that she was overtired and in a mood. That did not bode well for them. Once the final student had filed out and the heavy doors slammed shut, they knew their fate was sealed.
"So I have been informed that the pair of you was out wandering the halls after curfew. Care to explain?" Goodwitch asked from her seat upon her desk. "I mean you must have an exceptional excuse as to why you would breech academy protocol, and I would like to hear it."
The pair remained silent, unsure what to say.
"Silence will not help you. I want an explanation and you will provide it... or you will be serveing detention until you do."
"We were following Jaune." Ren offered.
"And why would you feel the need to follow my nei... nephew. Who also shouldn't have been out of his room after curfew."
"Something has been bothering him for weeks." Blake spoke up, "As no one else seemed to be noticing Ren and I decided to look into it. So when he left last night, we chose to follow him and make sure he was okay."
"I see." Glynda regarded the pair over the rim of her glasses, "So if I understand you... out of concern for your fellow student, you chose to follow him, rather than ask him what was wrong; or more importantly you decided it would be better to not inform the faculty of your concerns?"
"Jaune is hiding something." Ren stately bluntly.
"Yes, it seems he is, but again the question stands. Why didn't you approach him to inquire what was happening with him directly, or inform the staff of your concerns?"
"You're also hiding something." Ren flatly accused. "Jaune was in serious pain last night. Why would he have gone to you instead of the infirmary?"
"I'm asking the questions her Mr Ren, and I suggest you answer them; as I have no reason to explain the actions of my nephew coming to me in his time of need."
"Ren is right, you are hiding something from us. Something that can impact our teams." Blake added. "Why did Jaune go to you, and who was that girl we saw with you?"
"There was no girl. There was Jaune and myself. Again I am asking the questions, and the pair of you should watch you tone. Jaune is my nephew, and has been staying with me for the past three months prior to taking part in initiation."
"We know what we saw. You helped Jaune into your classroom, and a couple minutes later exited helping a young woman, who was dressed exactly like Jaune had been." Ren spoke up, ignoring Professor Goodwitch's warning, "So either Jaune has a twin sister staying her at Beacon as well... or something is up... and you're helping him hide it."
"I would suggest the pair of you... should be careful in how you speak to me. I am in no mood for such attitudes, especially from coming from students who broke Beacon rules of Conduct."
"Ren and I know what we saw... and you're avoiding answering us." Blake accused.
"I have no need to answer you. Regardles of what you THINK you witnessed, you are in the wrong, and as you are failing to give me a reasonable explanation as to why you ignored the rules... and continue these accusations... You will serve a months detention, starting tonight after supper. Understood?"
"But..."
"There is no BUT, Ms Belladonna. You will report to this classroom tonight, ready to spar. If I am going to be forced to watch over you, because of your attempted indiscretions..."
"Indiscretions?" the pair spoke in unison, a little insulted at the insinuation that professor was putting on them.
"Yes... indiscretions. It's the only reasonable explanation as too why you were out wandering the halls afetr curfew... and why you keep putting forward these insinuations about my nephew hiding something from you."
"That's... that's not what we were doing!" Blake stammered.
"You will be in my classroom tonight, after supper ready to spar. End of discussion." Glynda spoke in a stern tone that told the pair of young adults that there would be no further discussion. 'I will inform Professor Port as to the reason you are late for his class. Dismissed."
"But..."
"I said you are dismissed Ms Belladonna." Glynda informed the pair as she stood up from her seat upon the edge of her desk. "Tonight, my classroom, after the evening meal, ready to spar. Failure to show up, and your punishment will be more severe. Understood?"
The pair just nodded, knowing that any further attempt to get information about what happened last night, from the combat professor was a waste of time.
"Very good. Dismissed."

Coco had a free period, so she decided to take the opportunity to do some conditioning. A recent exercise slash mission showing her that maybe she needed to work on her cardio a little more, instead of her style. Which she knew would make so many of her admirers faint, but finding herself lagging behind her team if even it was only slightly was enough to inspire her. For all the air of confidence she pushed to the fore, she was still a little self conscious about herself. A team was only as good as it's weakest member, and despite how strong she was, her weapon made her almost stationary, as compared to the mobility of her teammates. Combining her semblance with it, the stress was a little more than she wanted, hence her decision to complete a light workout. Running the treadmills while keeping her aura up would be a good way to build on control but also conservation issues.
Coco had just started her run when the door opened and in walked as beauty she had never seen before. She stumbled as she let her attention wander, taking in the ample curves and innocent face of the enticing young woman. Regaining her composure, she returned her focus to her run, as she attempted to also watch the unknown beauty strip off an impressive set of heels; and replace them with some rather mundane looking slippers, before standing and peeling off what Coco would label as a rather tacky looking hoodie. She wanted to see more, so Coco reached forward and adjusted the treadmill; moving to a slower speed. She licked her lips as she took in the shape of the woman's rear end, as she moved to the mirrored wall and began to perform a set of, what Coco could only call alluring stretches.
Jaune knew she was being watched. She had noticed the cutie on the treadmill as soon as she entered. So she decided she would have a little fun, she hadn't had a chance to tease anyone since she arrived here at Beacon, and as such she was going to take full advantage of this opportunity. After completing some basic stretches she moved to the horizontal bar situated along the mirrored wall. She almost sighed at the as she lifted her right leg, angling herself so that her rear was more towards the obviously ogling girl. It was easy to place her heel upon the bar, stretching her leg out fully, and she enjoyed the release as she leaned forward to stretch her still stiff muscles out further.
Coco's breath hitched. She was tempted. Sorely tempted to quit what she was doing an approach the image of pure desire before her. She recognized the signs that the delectable dish situated before her eyes was playing with her. Coco was a tease in her own right, and knew the signs of such actions intimately. Coco chuckled under her breath as she again reached forward and turn off the treadmill. She was going to enjoy the show being offered, without any distractions. She leaned forward on to her arms as she crossed them over the console to the treadmill.
Jaune with a quick glance over her shoulder noted the change in her observer's posture; and smiled. She had her full and undivided attention now. Time to give her something worth seeing. Effortlessly removing her leg from the horizontal bar, Jaune rolled forward on her feet, resting all her weight on the balls of her feet before pushing further. The specialized caps on her slippers helped with support but it still took some effort and concentration to succeed with the well practised motion.
Coco fought to keep her jaw from falling open as she watch the delectable beauty before her rise to stand on her tip toes, before raising her right leg high into the air. Her balance was perfect, her form sublime as her right leg rose straight into the air. Coco wished she had her scroll with in reach. She so wanted, no needed a picture of this angelic girl performing a perfect standing splits. She gave Coco a warm and cheeky smile before dropping her leg and moving into a pirouette followed by a hands free cartwheel.
Jaune rolled forward planting her hands on the floor and pressing up, her body straight as an arrow as she did a hand stand. Her smile was radiant as she spread her legs giving her onlooker another picture perfect display of her flexibility, and strength. Bringing her legs back together she pivoted on her hands and allowed her body to fall back first towards the floor, only to use the momentum to roll to her feet. Turning her back to her obvious fan, she dropped to the floor in another perfect split. She stayed like that for a minute before looking over her shoulder and giving the beret wearing cutie a wink and a kiss.
Coco's heart was hammering in her chest. She knew she was being teased, and she didn't want it to stop. She was an angel, absolute perfect balance, insane flexibility, and curves Coco would willing go down fighting for. She swallowed as the wink and blown kiss, unable to respond; only able to watch as this girl of her dreams returned to her feet and made her way to one of three poles fastened to the floor. Coco knew what pole dancing was. She knew a stripper pole when she saw one. She had more than once indulged in sampling eye candy during breaks between missions and classes. She licked her lips, wondering if she was about to get a private show.
Jaune's heart was beating a mile a minute. She hadn't had this much fun in a long time; nor had she ever had such a receptive audience to her little flirts. She made her way towards the poles. It had been an argument and a half to get her mom to agree to let her take pole dancing lessons. Aunt Glynda was livid when she found out what Jaune was doing. But her mom stepped in a smoothed the waters, expounding the athletic, and health benefits that style of dance did encourage. Grabbing the pole with both hands, Jaune hopped into the air and let her body spin about. Tilting back she tightened her grip as she brought her legs up and coiled her left about the pole.
Coco needed an ice cold shower, and she planned to take several once she got the name and number of this bombshell beauty. Her dark brown eyes drank in verey line and curve of the body before her. Her mind recorded every move and motion the object of her desire was making. Coco watched as she gave displays of pure physical strength, and flexibility; enacting moves Coco was confident she herself couldn't pull off. But the icing on the cake were the winks and blown kisses. She knew she was being watched and ogled, and was enjoying the attention.
After performing a full routine, Jaune was completely winded. She hadn't had a chance to really let loose and do what she really enjoyed doing for so long. Sitting down she fanned herself, and contemplated moving over to where she left her heels and hoodie; to get her scroll. She had the Beacon vending app on it, and could use a cold bottle of water.
"Water?"
"Please." Jaune replied as she grabbed the pole beside her to help her stand. Her legs were feeling a little rubbery, and she was a little more than winded, all things considered. Once on her feet she made her way towards her heels and hoodie while throwing a glace at the beret wearing woman that she had been teasing. She hummed to herself in appreciation of what she saw.
"Hey there gorgeous." the sleazy way his voice carried caused a shiver to run up Jaune's spine. Ripping her eyes from an enjoyable sight to one that if she was honest made her want to hurl. Sky Lark, stood not a couple feet away from her. She didn't know when he entered the gym, or how he got so close without her noticing, but the end result was he was there, and his leering blue eyes made her want to douse herself with bleach. "Couldn't help but notice the show you put on. Care to give and encore?"
"Not interested."
"Why not? You obviously like showing off that body to anyone who wants to look. Not that I blame you." he gave her what he probably assumed was a charming smile, but all it did was make Jaune want to vomit. "You are definitely put together."
"Again. Not interested."
"Of course you are... you're just playing hard to get... I know... I can tell." Sky gave her that smile again, as he moved closer. Jaune took a step back, she was not comfortable and silently started hoping the girl in the beret would return, and soon. "My teams out in Vale on a free... I'm all alone... want to..."
"No!"
"What do you mean, no?" Sky moved quickly, much quicker than Jaune's tired limbs would allow her to move. "You think you're too good for me? Is that it?"
"No, I want to be left alone. Leave me alone."
"Someone like you shouldn't be alone... someone might try and... take advantage..." Sky smirked as he reached forward, and touched Jaune's cheek with the back of his hand.
"FUCK OFF!" Jaune screamed as she hauled off and attempted to strike Sky across his smug face. "Ow! You're hurting me!"
"That is no way for a lady to respond to a man's attention." Sky snarled as he tightened his grip on the wrist of the hand he intercepted. "No I think you should apologize for trying to hit me. That was very unladylike."
"You're hurting me!" Jaune cried out as she struggled to pull her wrist free from his crushing grasp.
"No I'm not. It's all in your head." Sky smirked as he used her trapped wrist to pull her towards him, "I'm not doing anything... you don't want me to."
Jaune pressed her free hand against Sky's chest trying to brace and pull herself free. When she felt the fingers of his other hand wrap around that wrist as well, she panicked and brought her knee up as fast and as hard as her tired body could muster; but it was to no avail as Sky seemed to be just a smidgen faster, taking her attempted crotch shot on his thigh. She saw his blue eyes narrow. Neither heard the gym door slamming open or the rapid approach of booted feet.
"Bitch." he hissed, more out of annoyance than any type of pain. "So is that what you are? A teasing, uppity, too good for anyone bitch?"
"LET ME GO!" Jaune shrieked.
Sky released her allowing her to stumble and fall backwards on to her ass, as he backed away. The white fire bleeding from her eyes, making him seriously question some of his most recent choices. The violent impact of a fist to the side of his head throwing him sideways confirmed that he had definitely make some serious mistakes. Barely regaining his footing he attempted to turn about and see who struck him only to take another brain addling blow to the side of his head.
"No means no, mother fucker!" growled Coco as she closed on the woozy first year huntsman-in-training. Coco was not the greatest at unarmed, but being teamed with velvet, Yats and Fox did teach her a few things. A first thrown with enough weight and force would do damage, even through aura. It might not leave a bruise but causing someone brain to bounce about inside their skull... did amazing things.
Sky took a couple more shots before collapsing. His eyes dull and glassy. He never had a chance to mount a counter as Coco went all in as soon as she heard and saw what was happening when she had returned to the gym from the vending machine just down the hall. Turning her attention from the unconscious form of Sky; she focused on his would be victim.
Jaune was panicked. She could feel it welling up inside her, she could see the cascade of minute flames and miniature arcs of electricity dancing about her finger tips. This was bad, she was told not to let anyone see it. Never to reveal it. To always keep it hidden, and she couldn't stop it. She scrambled to her feet, basically hyperventilating as she squeezed her eyes shut and thrust her hands into her stomach. She was so tired, but she tried to force it down. To make the upsurge of energies inside her reverse.
"Hey it's okay, I dealt with the scumbag. You're safe." Coco tried to sooth the obviously hysterical young woman. She moved forward carefully, her hands spread in a non-threatening manner. "Shit!"
Coco rushed forward as the angel she had spent the better part of forty-five minutes ogling, and then the last two defending started to shake uncontrollably, before she gurgled something unintelligible and folded in upon herself before crashing to the floor in a heap. Rolling her on to her back Coco pressed her ear to her chest to listen for a heartbeat and feel if she was still breathing. With both of those checked off, she rushed to where she had dropped the two bottled water she had purchased and scooped up her scroll. She didn't even hesitate activating the emergency function as she rushed back to the Jaune's form.
"Hey now, you hang in there." Coco reassured the unresponsive girl as she dropped her scroll to the floor and lifted her head to rest it on her lap. "Help is coming. You just hold on, cause I need to know your name angel. I need you to tell me your name."
/=/
"Jaune!" Glynda screamed as she burst into the infirmary, having abandoned her in session class as soon as the call registered on her scroll.
"Your niece is fine, Glynda." Doctor Primrose spoke calmly as she intercepted the anxious Deputy Headmistress. "She's not hurt, just unconcious."
"What happened?"
"I'm not sure, but from what Ms Adel has told me it sounds like Jaune had a seizure brought on by physical exhaustion and emotional distress."
"Emotional distress?"
"I'll let Ms. Adel fill you in, but it appears that one of our first years attempted to assault her in the gym."
"Who." Glynda's worried tone instantly turned murderous.
"Mr. Sky Lark." Doctor Primrose raised her hand in a motion to placate the enraged woman. "Ms. Adel protected Jaune, and I have tunred Mr. Lark over to Professor Port for disciplinary measures. So please calm down and go to room three. Jaune's resting in there."
Glynda was shaking with boiling emotions as she took a deep breath and turned from the doctor to find the room Jaune was in. Finding it she quickly pushed open the door and rushed in.
"Jaune?"
"So that's her name, short and sweet. I like it."
Glynda stopped and turned her head to see Ms Coco Adel sitting in one of the room's two plastic arm chairs. Glynda knew she should have assumed that Coco would have remained in the room to watch over someone she had protected. It was the type of person the fashionista was. Composing herself Glynda adjusted her stance, and smooth the front of her blouse.
"Ms. Adel."
"Professor Goodwitch."
"I would like to thank you for efforts today. I appreciate them, and I'm sure once she wakes up, Jaune will also wish to thank you."
"Anyone with a sense of morality would have done it." Coco gave the authoritarian teacher a smile, "besides after the show Jaune gave me... I kind of owe her."
"Show?" Glynda's eyes narrowed as she regarded the second year huntress over the rim of her glasses. "What show?"
"Well I was working out... and she came in... and started dancing... she's really flexa..." Coco stopped talking when she realized that she wasn't helping anything with her explanation.
"I see."
"Ah... her things are on the night stand, and I hope you don't mind but I transferred my number to her scroll?"
"Thank you, and I will let Jaune know that you gave her your number. Now if you wouldn't mind I would like some time alone with me... niece."
"Of course professor." Coco nodded her head gathered up the affects and departed.
"My poor girl... what have I gotten you mixed up in?" Glynda whispered as the door closed behind her. She moved to Jaune's side and gently brushed her fingers through Jaune's blonde locks. "I'm going to get you out of this mess... I promise."
/=/
"Bun Bun!"Coco yelled in exuberance as she burst into CFVY's dorm.
"Coco?" Velvet almost jumped out of her bed, dropping the book she was reading to the floor.
"I need help!"
"Help? What's... what's wrong? How can I help?"
"You know a first year by the name of Jaune right?"
"Ye... yes I think so. The name sounds familiar. Why?"
"Tell me everything you know about her!" Coco exclaimed as she grabbed her partner by her shoulders and began to shake her.
"Co...Coc... Coco... st...sto... stop!" Velvet pushed her teammates hands away as soon as Coco understood what she was doing. "Now, please calm down and tell me what's going on."
"I met a goddess, and her name is Jaune... you know a Jaune... tell me what you know. I need to know... everything!"
"Are you asking about Jaune Arc?"
"I think..." Coco rummaged through her pockets and pulled out her scroll. Tapping the screen she brought up her list of contacts and using quick search for new entries; she located what she was looking for. " Yes, Jaune Arc... blond... beautiful... flexible... total goddess."
"That's not right. Jaune's a guy not a girl." Velvet stated flatly.
"No, see right here..." Coco fliped her scroll around to show the pic she had snapped of Jaune sleeping while she had been watching over her in the infirmary. "That is Jaune Arc. I just met her, had to take her to the infirmary... after clobbering some fuckface trying to assault her."
"Infirmary? Is she okay?" Velvet's tone moved from confused to concerned in milliseconds.
"She's okay." Coco turned her scroll around and smiled as she looked at her stolen memory. "So, Jaune Arc spill. Details... now."
"I'm trying to tell you... that's not Jaune." Velvet opened her own scroll and made a quick search of the public student registry. She found the entry she was looking for and pulled it up on her screen. "This is Jaune Arc. This is the first year that helped me with those bullies."
Coco studied the picture, Velvet was presenting to her. There it was an image of a young man, sporting a goofy smile. Returning her attention to her own scroll she did her own search of the student directory. She made her own search just using Jaune's name... and received a single hit. The same image that Velvet had shown her appearing on Coco's own screen.
"This makes no sense. I synced to transfer my contact details to her scroll. I have her name and it's Jaune Arc... Professor Goodwitch also called her Jaune. This makes no sense!"
"Professor Goodwitch?"
"Yeah, she rushed in yelling Jaune's name, only seemed to clam down once she saw her."
"There could be two Jaune's at Beacon."
"But a search only brings up his information?"
"Maybe she's a transfer? Maybe she's not a student, but just a visiting dignitary?" Velvet offered, as reasonable explanations, "I mean Professor Goodwitch was there... it lends credence to her being a dignitary or the child of one."
"It just doesn't make sense... this is Jaune Arc." Coco was speaking to herself now, ignoring anything Velvet was trying to add to the conversation.
/==/
Just finished this chapter. It is a completely different one than the original, so I hope it is satisfactory.
I'm going to try and catch the revamp up to the original, before doing a couple more "Possibilities" and hopefully by then I'll have the mental energy to tackle "Monster".
Hope you enjoy.
