The next day, Izuku felt…. Conflicted. So maybe last night was the first time he read any fanfiction but he was sure the locker break ins (Besides the stalker undertones to it all) were more romantic. Why would anyone give flowers, a plushie and candy to someone if they were asking for help?
It didn't make a lick of sense.
The worst of it was he felt disappointed a little bit. How could he have thought so wrong?
It all seemed romantic, not a cry for help. Well, he didn't have much experience in it so he wouldn't know the difference.
He seemed rather distracted throughout the school day, not really paying attention. It definitely showed because he had to copy Ochako's notes. She could tell something was off with one of her best friends but she wasn't quite sure what. There were only a few instances where Izuku wouldn't mutter, pay attention or even smile….
Well, he hadn't complained about being stressed out with his workouts and he hadn't broken any bones in the last two months (a record for the school year so far) so that was out of the question…. So the last thing was what they talked about yesterday.
Once class was over, she went back to the freckled boy's desk to see him closing his notebook just in time. He lifted up her pink, glittery notebook.
"Thanks…. It's been a long day."
"What happened?" she asked, placing the notebook in her book bag, "You're never this quiet."
He dropped his eyes to his desk.
"Is this the stalker thing? Did you meet him? Was I wrong?"
"I don't want to talk about it here…."
"Alright…. Let's go off campus then."
He gave her a nod and they went back to the dorms to change. Apparently, Neito caught wind and joined them at the front gates with Hitoshi trailing behind him. The blonde had a smirk on his face while the violet haired boy looked exhausted as hell but that wasn't out of the ordinary.
"So, where are we going?"
"We're gonna eat out," Ochako answered, "We have some stuff to talk about."
Neito made a face, "Did you find out about the guy yet?"
"Well…. Aizawa sensei told me some stuff last night…. When I was eating my dinner late."
"Let's get some food and talk about it."
The four of them sat down at a pizza place they visited a few times a month together. Neito sipped his pop carefully, watching the other boy's face. It was weird seeing him sad like that. He didn't like it.
"What did Eraserhead say?" Hitoshi asked, picking up a slice of pizza and taking a bite.
"He knows who the boy is. He's um…. He hangs out with Mei all the time apparently. He has some big issues with his quirk."
The three of them fell silent while Izuku stared at his pizza.
"So…. he doesn't like you like that huh?" the blonde asked, "That's rather unfortunate."
"That don't make any sense," Hitoshi said frowning, "Who the fuck gives flowers to someone if they want your help? He's giving you chocolate and toys."
"Yea…. did Aizawa sensei say anything else about it?"
"He said the guy was shy. He's tired of the flowers because of his allergies."
Ochako arched an eyebrow.
"You know what would clear all of this up?" she said, lifting her cup, "Leave him a note in your locker like Hitoshi said. Get to the bottom of it. Especially if he's really shy. Write him a note and place it in your locker. Tomorrow is Friday so you have some time to find out…."
"Did he leave you anything today?" Neito asked, reaching for another piece of pizza.
"Yea…. he left me a small rubber duck with a ribbon tied around the neck but I didn't bother taking it out."
"A rubber duck?"
Izuku nodded.
"That's hella weird," Ochako said with a small smile, "Well, forget the duck!"
She reached for her phone and brought up her messages.
"Let's see…. What should you write? We can decide together if it'll make you feel better."
"O-oh ok…. Well, we gotta ask for less flowers. My room is overrun by them now. I'm surprised I don't smell like them. Put Aizawa sensei said so."
Neito snorted loudly.
"Alright what else?"
"You can thank him for the stuff he's been giving you. You like that book right?" the violet haired boy asked.
"Yea. Um, I enjoyed the book. I love reading."
"What else?"
"You can ask what he wants. I mean, the guy is breaking into your locker all the time."
"I guess just ask what does he needs help with."
She nodded, typing it quickly.
"Anything else?" Hitoshi asked, leaning on the table with his elbows.
"I think that's it. What else should I include?"
"That sounds good enough to me."
Ochako nodded.
"You just gotta write it out when we get back and place the note in your locker!"

Izuku grabbed a piece of notebook paper and a pen, staring at the paper. Ochako and Hitoshi laid on his bed looking at their own phones while Neito was busy playing his XBOX. It was nice they were there for moral support. It had been an open secret that Izuku Midoriya had a stalker but since he didn't seem too worried about it, no one else was worried about it.
He just felt pressure from it all. This older student was placing some faith on him in some way he couldn't understand. Izuku couldn't help the guy since he wasn't giving him any clues. What made it difficult for him was it could go a few ways.
One: What if this was a romantic thing and Izuku decided to ambush him in the support department. Wouldn't that embarrass the guy whoever he was? What if he upset him?
Two: What if it was just a way to butter him up to ask for help? Mei was one of the best up and coming support heroes there were. If she couldn't figure it out, then it must be bad. He couldn't barge in assuming the guy was hitting on him.
Three: What if it was a mixture of both? How would he deal with that?
Izuku dropped his head on his desk and groaned.
Why couldn't he just be up front with me?
"You alright there?"
"Yea."
"Don't worry! We'll always make sure you're never alone!"
"That's not the issue. What if he does need some help but I can't help him?"
"You can't help everyone," Neito said, "You gotta calm down on the hero complex."
Izuku shot him a dirty look.
"He's right. I'm sure if Mei is the one helping him, then she'll have notes on what's worked and what hasn't. I wonder what kind of quirk he has?" Hitoshi asked.
"I wonder what course he's in."
"I wondered that too."
The green haired boy raised his head and picked up his pen.
Hey there.
Aizawa sensei said no more flowers because of his allergies.
I loved the book and I do enjoy reading, so I appreciate that.
I was informed you needed some help? If that's true, leave me
a note and I'll do my best to help.
-Izuku Midoriya-
"How's this?"
Neito paused the game and took the paper from his hand.
"Looks good to me. You want us to walk you there?"
"No, I have it."
"Address it to 'Locker Stalker'."
Ochako snorted.
"Why?" Izuku asked, looking a little confused, "Are you assuming more than one person gets into my locker?"
"Well, you have that cute innocent look," Hitoshi said with a shrug, "I wouldn't be surprised."
"You're really a lot of help," Izuku said sarcastically as he stood up with a huff.
"You're welcome!"
Ochako giggled loudly, "We'll wait for you here but take your phone. Just in case."
"Alright."
The walk to his locker seemed like it was taking forever.
What if I run into him there? What should I do?
Aizawa sensei said he was shy. Then…. How is he getting to my locker with a lot of students around? Is he doing it during class time instead?
Izuku was sure he wouldn't know until the student finally came to him on his own and in person.
Once he was in the hallway leading to his locker, he poked his head around the corner but no one was there.
Good.
He made his way down, his footsteps echoing loudly. He swallowed the lump in his throat. The boy stood in front of his locker.
What if he put something else in there?
Izuku shook his head, his green curls moving around and looking more messy from the action. He opened his locker and nothing new was placed in there. He grabbed a pen and wrote Locker Stalker on the front after he folded it up. He made a face and opened it back up. He put his locker combination in the note then closed the paper again.
Izuku grabbed the rubber duck and closed his locker. He locked it and returned back to his dorm room in one piece.

That night, he couldn't sleep much either. He was exhausted but it just wouldn't come to him.
I should've given the guy my damn number.
Why didn't I think of that sooner?
He threw an arm over his eyes and sighed heavily.
I wished he would've given me some clue as to how to help him. School is out in eight weeks. Would that even be enough time to help him? What kind of quirk would he have that he couldn't control it well enough without help?
Izuku was driving himself insane with the questions.
Maybe I should just go to Mei and ask her directly. I wonder if she had suggested my name to him in passing or if he already knew who I was. I mean…. Why ask help from someone who breaks their limbs almost every month? I barely have a hold on my own quirks.
He rolled over in bed.
There were too many damn questions that needed to be answered.
Maybe I'm overthinking it?
It was three in the morning before he managed to fall asleep and he stayed that way even until ten minutes before class started.
Fuck it, I can be late for once.

Aizawa didn't say anything when Izuku rolled in around nine in the morning. He was about an hour late but the look on the boy's face said it all so he let it slide. Being alive was hard.
He forgot all about checking his locker since he was late but he could do that before English class. Ochako shot him a weird look but he chose to ignore it and did his best to take notes.
Maybe I'll just have Ochako send me more fanfic stories to read later. Maybe I can fall asleep while reading.
He almost dropped his head to the desk in defeat.
This day needs to be over with already.
