"Mmm..." Rutile groaned as he took down some bottles out around him. He looked around to see that he passed out inside the hallway. His head hurt and felt like vomiting. He turned to the side and spotted a friend of his passed out beside him. "Hey Ubis, wake up buddy."
He was still out cold. Rutile looked around the hallway to see which members were still out cold. Blitz and Gray still held hands and he felt them mutter something.
"Japan region..." Gray guessed Kanto wrong.
"...I am... finally... smart..." Blitz slurs in his sleep.
Rutile sighed before carrying Ubis up. "Come on, let's get you in your room." Rutile told him as he carried the dragon over his shoulders. He walked around the corridors and passed some members around. He smelt the dragon's scent after the hangover.
It was really... reeking of alcohol...
This dragon, he was rather large, in both height and size considerably. Pale purple skin around him with a dark purple underside. His head has two green spots on each cheek, a relatively long neck, and a short, rounded snout. On top of the head are two pairs of antenna-like horns. The foremost horns are small nubs, but the hind horns are longer, thicker, and curve down the long neck. Similarly like Rutile, his limbs are proportionally small and he had a large thick tail being dragged along with the tip curled backwards. Both sides of his tail had three green spots beside each other parallel. A Goodra.
"Ubis, can you hear me?" Rutile called as he went to the room he knew where the Goodra stayed. "I need your keycard to get in."
"..." Ubis still appeared out like a light, mumbling incoherently in his sleep.
Rutile sighed and tried to remember how to get inside his room without a keycard. He knew about the storage they all had, to store and call them whenever they were needed.
He looks back at the electronic lock again. Besides the card scanner, there is an electronic keypad. What was their password again? Maybe guess it? He remembered the angry faces Gardious and Pentaster made when a recruit did that many times but...
There was still blubbering from Ubis still asleep. Then he begun to mumble out repetively... "My room... available... 8...1...7...9...1... my room..." Ubis went back to speaking nonsense again, mumbling as close as to wanting a girlfriend.
Rutile blushed as he entered the numbers he spoke with his mumbles. "8-1-7-9-1." Rutile whispered before entering it by using the number sign. He heard a click from the door. It's open. He went in and looked around the room.
It still bears being kept tidy and clean, though Rutile says otherwise letting a sober dragon lie there on the bed. Wardrobe, bookshelf, table, a shelf to place several gifts and achievements. Looking back, the alcohol reeked out of Ubis's clothing. Rutile couldn't take the overwhelming scent any longer.
"Hey, I need to go now." Rutile told him. "Also, you need to hold out the alcohol. You can't hold it much, remember?"
Ubis blubbered as Rutile laid him on the bed.
Rutile smelt himself as he closed the door behind him. He flinched at it.
"I smell like Ubis." He muttered while he made his way to his room. A bath and fresh set of clothes was needed, he thought. He made his way there when...
He felt his head ache as he suddenly imagined a feral shout and a slash at him, spraying blood about. "Ah...?" He muttered and didn't notice Weiss was passing him when his tail accidentally knocked him down.
"Agh!"
"Hm?" Rutile looked around after the pain subsided. "Who was that?"
"...Ngh... what are you doing...?" Weiss grunts as he pushes himself back up.
"Huh?" He looked down. "Oh, didn't see you there. I was seeing things when my head hurts. Say, do you know someone named Eabear?"
Weiss flinched. "That name... again?"
"'Again'?" Rutile repeated with a confused look. "Does that weird name bother you?"
"...Yes. Very. So." Weiss tells Rutile. "Just please... don't say it around me."
"The...Eabear?" Rutile muttered. "Eager bear..."
"...Don't say it!"
"Okay, okay!" Rutile rose his hands up in resignation. "Is there something between you and that Beartic?"
Weiss began taking deep breaths after that outburst, relaxing himself. Upon fulling doing so, he spoke. "Just... Just no more horrible puns..."
"...Right." Rutile then left while Weiss watched the rookie leave. Dreams and headaches...He wondered about that. He remembered some experiencing it, wondering why they had it. Something that they never saw before.
But one thing is for certain...they all described dying. He wondered about it. Was it because of the Dynacrystal failing to contain some memories? Was there a limit to it? Or was it some sort of... anomaly? Or perhaps... a feeling of déjà vu? There were cases spoken that they themselves died, which further complicate this.
He wondered more about it when he spotted a Shiny Metang go up to him while holding a tablet. Great, another idiot. Just when he tho-
"Excuse me?" Came a different voice. "Do you know where Mr. Duonter is?"
...Huh?
It was his brother, Iron. The one who fell down during training regimen among the recruits.
"Last night, we got a strange signal landing at these coordinates." Iron explained. "We wanted to send a list of the best candidates for this mission."
"...Oh..." Weiss nods.
There was a hangover with several members partaking in this irresponsible activity just to satate their stress. To let go of their sorrow. Weiss remembered that the one who ordered them was...
"..." He touched his head. "...Ubis Ripplen? A new recruit..."
"Hm." Iron looked at the tablet and detailed his abilities. "Strong healing to allies near him. This power is impressive. Maybe I should add him to the list."
He was about to before Weiss looked at the door Rutile went out from. He heard someone vomit from the inside. It was so loud that he could hear it through the soundproof walls.
"...Maybe not." Weiss tells Iron.
"I see...Then how about Rutile Ore?" Iron inquired. "While he lacked the healing and his natural low defensive parameters, the skills he has with the shield allowed him to negate that weakness."
"Hmm..." Weiss ponders. "I suppose... that will be alright."
"Okay, I have to inform them that the mission's aircraft will depart after 3600 seconds. I'll send in the objectives over to their devices like what Sir Stor told me." Iron looked over Weiss and his silver platings turned red when he realized what he just did. "Oh, um...I was practicing it. I forgot a senior member was in front of me, sorry..."
"No, it's... alright." Weiss assures Iron.
"...Alright, Sir Stor told me that I would be handling this mission's briefing. I need to prepare and double check their status." Weiss nodded. This one was just new to this job for a week and he was already gotten a hang of things. Despite his role as a non-combatant, his role was just as important as the combatants. Like what Lusiane said, "communication is the key for survival."
"Alright. Take a bit of time, if you need to." Weiss tells Iron.
"Okay, thank you, Sir Sageome." Iron bowed down politely and left to continue his task.
As the Shiny Metang left, Weiss wondered about the mission he stated, took out his own device, and scrolled down until he found that mission among the latest updates. At a deserted island at the sea between Hoenn and Unova. The island was so small that it was hard to be detected, even with the satellites around the world.
Weiss knew that this location was great for a secret base for an alternative location for WINGS. However, with the location had it near the equator, some members may suffer from heatstrokes. Also, with the distance, it was almost impossible to get help from the nearby regions.
It was concerning for one, they needed to have connection with regions.
However...Who was there? He read the rank for this mission. It was... He raised a brow in surprise. There wasn't much information for uncharted territory, at least an SS rank.
He looked over the members to join this mission. They were all veterans, some had served WINGS longer than he did. Luigi was one of them and Rutile being the only recruit there. He read over the files about Rutile's feats.
"In these few weeks... has very capable defensive abilities..." he read out.
The other and better candidate for this mission was Claus but was not included. He was assigned to another mission, it left Rutile as the only defensive member to be there.
He lowered the files and looked back at Luigi's entry. Speaking of which... where has he been?

"Who are you?" Fran mumbled to the ball as he held it close. "I'm sorry that I can't remember. I'm sorry that I can't save you."
Since that day... he only remembered about slaying the Arctic Avian... and that's that...
He could hear knocking on his door. "Fran. Fran... please, open up." A voice spoke from there. "I don't want to keep opening this door up."
"...Luigi..." Fran whispered.
"Open the door..." Luigi asked from the other side.
Fran stayed in his position for a couple of moments before getting up and opening the door. He watched as his adopted older brother entered the room with a concerned look on his face. "Fran... you finally opened the door..." Luigi speaks. He studied Fran's body, grimacing at the language it showed.
He seemed to be eating less than before. While he did took a bath, his body looked deficient of calcium and other minerals reptiles needed. He looked at the eyes under those red lids, they were half-closed, he did not get enough sleep and still held the ball close to his chest.
He was hurt... seeing Fran hurt himself so much...
"Luigi..." Fran whispered. "I can't remember who owned that ball."
"Fran... I..." Luigi looked around. That mission really affected him so deeply... And forgetting the person who Fran met there...He looked at the ball, from a child. A child used to play with it.
He looked down... A young life unable to experience... being an adult...
"I...I couldn't..." Fran leaked out some more tears while Luigi went in and embraced him. Fran's eyes widened in shock and he let out surprised gasp. Luigi's armed rubbed his back softly to soothe him.
"Fran... No more..." he mumbled softly. "I can't bear to see you hurt yourself again..."
"..." Fran let more tears fall down. "I don't want to lose more people I care for. To forget them. Sunai told me that I should be thankful but...Why? Why does it hurt so much? If I can just remember them...I...I can lie to myself that they are okay. But...Why can't I get over it?"
"..." Luigi looked down, he could feel Fran's heartbeat on his chest. Despite being older, he was shorter than the more feminine, younger brother he had. However, he embraced him close.
"Fran... I'll always be here...everyone here will be..." he says soothingly. "We... will experience hardships we have to... get through..."
"Luigi..." Fran muttered and embraced back. "I don't...want to hinder you so much. Everyone looked up to you. I am someone who pales in comparison to you...Even if the Summoner was impressed by me, she never saw you. She'll think the same if she saw you."
Summoner? Who was that Summoner? "Fran? Who do you mean?" Luigi looked at him, bending away slightly. None of them mentioned a Summoner. A third-party helping them.
"...She's..." Fran muttered softly. "She helped me complete the mission. I wouldn't have done it if it weren't for her."
Luigi looked at Fran... he... he never realized that Fran viewed himself as a shadow... a shadow behind him. Even if he had repeatedly shown to be among the greatest healers of WINGS. Among the top healers when he was recruited.
"Fran... No, you aren't that." Luigi shakes his head. "You are more capable than you think you are... I don't know what we would do without your healing... it's really the greatest we've felt... I really appreciate, no, indebted to your support."
"Luigi..." Fran muttered. "I...I want to be of use. To be able to protect you like you did to me."
"Fran..." Luigi held Fran tight. "...Thank you. But... don't overdo it..."
"I...I will." Fran agreed as Luigi looked over his device when he heard it beep. A new mission for him.
"...Fran, I have to go." He looks at Fran. "Please, take care of yourself while I'm gone."
"Okay...Luigi." Fran nodded and released the hug. As Luigi turned to leave, Fran raised a hand, but froze up. He couldn't delay and bother him. He had a mission to complete.
'I can't tell him yet that he isn't just my adopted brother but... I... I love him.'

WINGS HQ: Hangars
Luigi stood beside a group of veteran WINGS members. A large group to be considerable for an SS rank assignment. Some should be as experienced as he does. He looked at some to know that they were at the same age or older than him. All fit and strong for missions needed for the more experienced ones.
He looked around and spotted an odd one out. A rookie and one who was younger than him. "Hm?" He approached that rookie, noting he is a Rampardos.
"Oh, Mr. Duonter?" He asked. "I'm Rutile Ore, a rookie here. I was selected here to be part of the defensive parts."
"Well, nice to meet you, Rutile." Luigi extended his fin-arm.
He looked as those tiny arms waved about. Rutile was wondering something.
"I had to fill in for my friend here." Rutile revealed. "I was supposed to have a date with my girlfriend today but the sudden change had me told her to have it later tonight." He let out a sigh. "I hope that I can get there in time."
Based on the tone he had, he was nervous. This was his first SS-ranked mission after all and he was just a rookie.
Luigi pats him by the side. "Nonetheless, we should all be careful, right?" He tells Rutile. "We can't rush in too much to miss out on something, and we can't delay it too much for us to return back."
"Yeah...But since I will be at the front-lines defending veterans..." Rutile murmured. Members that were focused on defense...Luigi wondered about it and knew that there weren't much of them around. Rutile here was worried about helping seasoned veterans.
"Hey, if it helps, I could help you." Luigi tells Rutile.
"R-Really?" Rutile's arms stopped waving. "Th-Thank you, sir!"
"It's no problem." Luigi smiled back.
The two looked as Zakh and a Shiny Metang arrived. Zakh looked gloomy about some snake coiled around him earlier. She had reeks of alcohol around her and was more flirty than she used to be.
"Ms. Safka's out." Iron muttered. "She must had drunk too much last night."
"Honestly, I don't mind." Zakh tells Iron.
"You were out for a couple of hours after she-" Iron began.
"Shut it!" He screeched.
Iron just shut up and let out something out for the squad to see a projection of their findings for this mission.
"The objective for this mission is to find the source of this mysterious signal we've detected last night." He explain. "We do not know what it was but the signatures it sent out suggested that it wasn't a Dulled nor a Legendary. The signatures it sent was similar to Pokémon."
"Thus we need to see what it is over there. But we don't know anything about it." Zakh went next. "But this is unknown territory along with an unknown target. So exercise the utmost of caution during the investigation."
One of them rose their hand.
"What do you mean it is a Pokémon? Can't you identify what they are when they're really a Pokémon like before?"
"Well..." Iron began. "I've double checked them and...None of them fit the signatures of any Pokèmon known to us. It would be a 12 hour trip to get to that area. All of you, please be careful."
Zakh nodded. "Yeah. That's what makes it... unknown." He answers.
They nodded while they boarded the aircraft marked for their mission. Iron looked at Zakh with a worried look.
"SS-ranked missions are rare." He told him. "Will they be alright?"
"Honestly?" Zakh turned to meet Iron. "...I don't know."
"Then the only thing we can do is hope for the best and try to help them navigate the area." Iron uttered.

Deserted Island
A 12-hour trip it was. Luigi opened his eyes around the aircraft they rode. It had been so long since he sat there, waiting for the time for the aircraft to land. He looked outside the window of the aircraft and at the surrounding sky. He heard that this place was some sort of desolate island in the middle of nowhere, communication completely unknown to it.
He looked at Rutile, who was sleeping around throughout the entire trip. He took deep and steady breaths while the aircraft approached that island. He looked at how much number of trees that covered the island. They were so much of them, those that can handle strong winds and tropical temperatures. But so far, no other lifeform in sight...
He reached for his communicator as they slowly reached the island. He wanted contact with communications before they set foot on the island.
"Hey, can you hear me?" He asks.
"...Fine...I...sig..." came Iron's voice through the static.
"H...Hey? I can't hear what you're saying.." Luigi already noticed the static.
"Inter...s...ca..."
The communications was shut down. He looked ahead of him, something was interfering with the signals. He grunted, putting the device aside. He needs to find it as soon as possible. Wait, if the communications were gone. That meant...He looked at the cockpit of the ship.
His second question was answered as the ship began to fall.
"Again!" One member exclaims.
"Ah!" Rutile exclaimed with a sudden snort, he snapped to alert waking as the aircraft lost all power and plummeted down from twenty feet off the ground.
"Those who can fly and teleport, take the ones who can't!" Luigi quickly commands as the aircraft began turning.
Everyone nodded and got off their seats. He looked at the hatch and realized that it won't open as he looked to see the others who could teleport had left with those they could carry. Only a few of them were left and Luigi took his spear. He grabbed onto Rutile.
"Rutile! Hang on!" He shouts, looking at a precise spot to smash through.
He threw his spear at the hatch and destroyed it. As the wind blew against them, Rutile held close to Luigi as he and the rest of the members inside went out of the aircraft. Rutile let out a scream as if he rode a rollercoater and wind blew to his face hard. He held close. Luigi grunts as he was back in the air for flight, moving his fins to fly away from the falling aircraft. He looks around at the island, finding a spot to land and then possibly regroup with everyone else. He looked back, eyes widening as he began to dive down faster.
"Rutile!" He calls out to his 'passenger'. "Brace yourself!"
They neared the first of the many clusters of trees before Luigi dove in with Rutile, grunting as they were both greeted with branches and leaves. Luigi looked at the falling aircraft as it landed at the rocks around the shore. It rolled and tossed about with parts of it whirling around before exploding.
He begun to slow down on his flight, putting Rutile down safely before he landed himself.
He took several breaths to calm himself down from the shock and intensity of the trip. Luigi knew that it was common for them to experience crash landings but Rutile saw this as a new thing. He looked at Luigi and Luigi smelt the dinner he just ate.
"That...That was scary." Rutile breathed out. "I won't experience it again, right?"
"...It's... It'll be common occurrence." Luigi honestly told Rutile.
"C-Common!" Rutile exclaimed as he took a step back. That was when... "!!!"
He looked up to see a Mega Garchomp over his wounded body. That Mega Garchomp faced towards the direction of Hoenn and flew there. He disappeared in a split second.
"..." Rutile held his head and stumbled back. Just what was that? He didn't know but why did it feel like it had happened before?
"Rutile?"
"...Oh." Rutile looked back and shook his head. "My head just got hurt a while ago. Do you know someone who also got that?"
"You too?"
"Huh?" Rutile wondered. "What do you mean?"
"It's been happening to some of the members... even me." He crosses his arms. "I had a few headaches sometimes."
"Huh? So that rumors are true?" Rutile asked. "Like a sense of deja vu?"
"...Yeah..."
"I didn't know." Rutile muttered. "But I was having them lately. I don't know why." He reached for the communication. He needed to get in touch with their communication support. He pressed it a couple of times.
"Squa...Se..." Iron tried to contact them. "Lo..."
"...Still static." Rutile mumbled and looked at Luigi. "We're separated from the rest. What should we do?"
"Yeah... what about them? Are we able to contact them?" Luigi ponders and decided to give it a try.
...
Rutile gave it a try and shook his head. "Static." Rutile looked down while he took out his shield.
"Nothing either." Luigi shook his head. He split his spear into the sword and knife it is. He turned to Rutile. "Let's move cautiously."
Rutile nodded and went in front of him. He placed it up in front of him and looked around the area at dark. He trekked slowly and turned to Luigi. "Can you see anything?" Rutile asked, with his species' vision made him able to see things at night.
"Had to train on my eyes for night vision." Luigi answers. "It'll work here."
Rutile nodded. "Shark vision?" He guessed. "I've read that they also hunt at night. Their vision is great even when light don't penetrate the waters."
"Yeah, still effective as it is." Luigi replied. "...So far... no sign of any ally nor anything else..."
"Alright."
The duo walked ahead while Luigi looked around the trees. They were numerous and continued on with no end. He felt another headache.
He stood around as several children ran around and played tag and hide seek. They jumped over each other. Time shifted and they were in their final evolutions. He saw a Butterfree sitting down at a distance while she read a book. Some of the children went to her and she smiled as she joined them in this game.
He blinked. What was that? ...Who was that?
He looked around the place. The place where those children played was this place but...He looked around, there was no one here and the place looked uninhabited for years. So then...why did he see children of a modern age around here?
And... who were those children? ...Unknown...He looked around the area again. Rutile looked very cautious.
"How long were we walking?" Rutile asked.
"...Huh?" Luigi looked back at Rutile.
"It felt like half an hour passed." Rutile checked his watch. "Two o'clock, no one's here."
"...O... Oh..." Luigi held his forehead, shutting an eye.
That vision he had was longer than he expected it would be. What was happening? He moved to the side and felt the ground beneath collapse.
"Huh?" Rutile noticed it too.
He and Rutile fell down in the pitfall and crashed inside a cave. The two groaned a bit as Rutile seethed in pain. Luigi looked at his companion to see that he sprained his foot. He tried to get up but the pain was too much and fell down again. He looked down and realized that Rutile broke their fall with his shield but the landing he had was terrible and landed on the wrong side of his foot.
"Rutile, hold on!" Luigi tells him to stop moving.
"Ow..." Rutile moaned while he looked at his sprained foot. "I made a mistake again in landing."
Rutile got on a sitting position while Luigi analyzed his sprained foot. He could see the bruise but the way it was bent as Rutile tried to move it...
"...Don't move, Rutile."
He reached down to his foot and placed it in an elevated ground. He let it rest while he took out some potions out of his inventory and gave it to Rutile. Rutile looked at them, they weren't the usual potions he saw around in Poké Marts. It was much more different.
"What is this?" He asked as he analyzed the green colored liquid inside.
"This is a bit of a different potion than most of the outside world wouldn't know of." Luigi answers. "But generally, they work better than the spray medicines commonly used."
Rutile nodded and began drinking it. He choked as his tongue felt the terrible and vomit-inducing liquid go down his throat. Luigi looked to see him react to the flavor the potion had. Rutile wanted to spit the potion out.
"No, don't spit it out: swallow it." Luigi tells Rutile. He held Rutile's jaws. "I know it tastes bad. But it'll do you good."
Rutile nodded and willed himself to drink it. Luigi looked as the contents emptied.
"There. You should be better.. physically."
Rutile let out a gasp and looked at his foot. The pain slowly subsided but it would take some time for the damaged tendons to repair themselves.
"These are always bitter. Or... you could just chug as much as you can without using your tongue to taste." Luigi told Rutile.
"I have a Careful nature but why does it taste so bad?" Rutile asked.
"It's... just how the taste is." Luigi sighs.
Rutile nodded and sat down with his leg hoisted to let it heal. Luigi looked ahead and tried the communications.
"..." He growled. Still static.
He looked at Rutile relax before looking around. He had Rutile stay put and went on his way to find an exit.
Luigi scanned around as he walked carefully, finding his way through and also for Rutile when he returns for him. He continued, taking sharp looks around each side of the rocky walls and then...He gasped as he felt his Dynacrystal vibrated.
"Ngh!?" He quickly felt the right side of his chest.
He looked to see it and saw his Dynacrystal go out and there it glowed. He was shocked, the glow was stronger than before. The red light shimmered and he spotted some multi-colored energy glow from a distance. Wait, that energy...was that the energy of Mega Evolution?
He was puzzled, but... was something there?
He continued to walk toward the light and heard someone crying in pain. Luigi's nostrils sniffed and nearly choked. The scent smelt like burning flesh. Was there already an attack on one of their allies? He needed to check. They could already be in danger... He hurried and as he found the source of the odour, he realized it wasn't from theirs.
It was... a male Garchomp?
He looked at the Garchomp who wore some kind of uniform and if it weren't for the glow, he wouldn't find him at all. He looked around the burnt wounds and damage around him. He could see some clear white bones around his limbs, eyes were burnt off and popped, and his clothes burnt that he saw the still beating heart through the chest cavities. The Garchomp breathed in agony while Luigi realized that his heart...
It... it is a odd heart... But... how is this possible? How can someone live with these level of damages. It should be completely impossible.
"Where are you?" The Garchomp coughed. "HOPE...HOPE..."
"Hope?" Luigi raised an eyebrow. What was that?
"H-Huh?" The Garchomp gasped and coughed. His breathing got too much haggard. "Who...? Smeeth Duonter here...Come in...Please...I...I don't want to..."
Luigi was more stunned. Why does this person bear his surname? He doesn't even know of anyone of that name...
"Help...Please..." The Garchomp wept in pain. "I don't...want to die...Please...Mommy Freecia. How could I forget you...? I'll be a good boy...Don't go away from my memories!"
Luigi looked as this "Smeeth"... just... who was this? What is he talking about?
"...Mother..." The Garchomp smiled and lifted his arm. Luigi gasped as the force he did caused the bones on it to snap in two. The bone marrow excreted blood out. "You...came..."
Luigi looked to see the Garchomp went limp and his heart stopped beating.
He stared... Who was this...? He looked at the heart. Something was telling him to touch it. It had so much power. It was...
Luigi felt himself about to reach it.
"...!?"
He felt the back of his mind telling him to stop. His hand shook. Did he need this much power?
As he begun to withdraw his hand, he saw something.
The heart burst out into blood by tearing out the blood vessels connected to it. He saw a marble-like object that was this Garchomp's heart glow. He realized what it was. It was a rare crystallized meteorite that contained much power to strengthen a Pokémon like the Dynacrystal. Those were called Megastones and this Megastone fused to this Garchomp's heart. It glowed around Luigi's body to check its compatibilities with him.
This was defying reality... this sort of inanimate object can't act like this-
It flew and pierced into his chest. Luigi's eyes widened as he took a sharp breath and coughed out blood. He fell on his knees as the object that defied reality itself merged with his heart's genetic codes. Becoming one with him.
Luigi fell onto his side and shook violently. The pain...this pain...
"Ah... AaaHHH...GuaaaaAAAH!"
The pain... it felt akin... to when... he had his Dynacrystal implanted...
Memories filled his mind. Fragments of Pokémon he never met before came inside his mind. They interacted with each other. Like a family. He held his head with one arm, the other holding onto his left chest as turned to the side, shouting out his pain.
"Don't you look handsome?" A woman's voice called as the memory looked upward. A reflection of a Garchomp and he looked...exactly like him. "Right, Smeeth?"
Smeeth...Duonter...That's right...He was...
"...No!" He held his head tight.
"Hey Smeeth." A Hydreigon flew down beside him and looked over the sea. The same view as what was seen from this island. "What would you do once all of this ends?"
"I wanted to start a family like Michael had a son he named Ignatius." Smeeth smiled. "If I were to become a father and have a son...I'll name him with that character from the video game Chester loved. Luigi, my mark of this world and why I lived."
Those shattered to fragments again as Luigi's mind felt like those fragments pierced it like broken mirrors. What were these memories? These weren't his! Why-
Luigi stood at the Chocobo Branch while he help tend the Chocobo. He was knocked onto the ground by one as he spotted a Dragapult fly down and comforted the Chocobo. It soon relaxed and let itself be petted by him.
"You shouldn't be that forceful." He told Luigi. "Chocobo are docile but you need to be careful when you touch them. Do it like this."
Luigi watched him gently held the Chocobo's head and smiled back at it and let it touch his forehead. The Dragapult gently reached down and gave something to it. Some sort of green plant which it happily cawed and ate it. It was now happier and cuddled the Dragapult's chest with affection.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't introduce myself." The Dragapult bowed. "The name's Eos Lightspeed, nice to meet you."
Luigi's eyes widened. That name... wasn't it... at a gravestone?
More static came in his mind as more memories came to him. Forcing themselves in his mind in an endless barrage.
"Ah, arrghh... Nghhhhh...!"
Back to a memory of his childhood. He was still a young and small Gible. He held his sword and knife, both were made of wood and akin to toy weapons, together as he practiced some moves. Striking the dummy with clumsy swings and attacks.
"Nngh! Hah!" He shouts out.
He struck the dummy again and panted. Someone came over and Luigi knew that this memory had him meet a silhouette but instead...
He was... looking at... a Garchomp.
He was Smeeth Duonter...His father. Luigi's eyes widened before...
"HnGH!?"
Floods of memories entered his mind all at once. He screamed in agony that echoed into the night.
Luigi opened his eyes...He was in a white void, limbs shackled down to an operating table. He wondered why he laid on his back and the silence unnerved him. What was happening?
He tried to move his limbs and hands off the shackles but couldn't do it.
He heard whispers.
"Why do you fight?" He turned, nothing there.
"Why do you live?" He turned again. Nothing there.
"Do you want to live?"
"Would you let your friends and everyone around you die?"
"Discard them?"
"Forget them?"
"Leave them to rot?"
"Tell me, child."
He shut his eyes with the whispers flooding in his hearing. "...Shut up..."
He turned his head as the whispers pursued an 'answer'. "Shut up, shut up... shut up!"
"Then why forget them?"
"Are you a coward?"
"Why did you run away?"
"Aren't they important to you? Or that's what they thought."
"Answer us, child."
"Ghhh..." Luigi grinded his teeth. "Don't talk as if like we had a choice!"
"Cause you are a cold-blooded soldier. Like them being just weapons."
"Well then." He heard the voice of a child.
Luigi paused. And he opened an eye.
A boy in striped pajamas with curly blonde hair. He looked sleepy and adorable but Luigi knew that he hid a sinister mind. A crystal device was deployed. He looked at him and uttered.
"Begin the operation."
"...!?" Luigi blinked.
His eyes widened as several silhouettes cut him open. Where are the anesthetics? The one that puts him to sleep?
What... what was happening...!?
He felt his internal organs shift and move about while he spotted several syringes around him. Each were taken and he felt foreign energy enter his organs. Why wasn't he dying? It was impossible for one to live with an organ pierced. He looked at the crystal device beside him.
"Relax, you won't die with this around." The boy assured. "As long as you don't move."
A scapel went near his head and began opening it to see his brain. A syringe appeared before him and injected the substance in his brain.
The pain...Not allowed to die...Allowed him to feel the pain no mortal could ever hope to feel on death.
This twisted being masquerading as that...
He screamed more as more of his body was opened.
He kept on flicking his arms in an vain attempt to call out his weapons. But he's not getting anything.
He screamed more and more. Until he felt his heart...His very own heart getting amputated out of his body and spotted a Megastone presented before him. A Garchomite.
"With this...You are nothing but a weapon."
"...I am not... a weapon...!"
The boy stays silent with a sigh as the Garchompite was placed on where his heart should had been and had it slowly turn into his heart. He screamed as the genetical code of the Megastone matched his own genetical code. His mind felt like exploding once again.
"You are now...our weapon."

2:18 a.m.
Deserted Island
"Mr. Luigi?" Rutile called out while he tested his ankle now moving like normal. "Hey, Mr. Luigi?"
He didn't receive any response.
He got up and walked before he heard some static from his communicator.
"Squad Seven, repeat, Squad Seven!" Iron called out. "Report in!"
"Hello?" Rutile replied back. "This is Rutile Ore."
"Finally, we got through." Zakh's voice spoke. "So, that means the interference was at the island and you all handled it."
A breath was heard. "...By the way... we needed to tell you..."
"What do you mean!?" Rutile exclaimed while he ran to direction he thought he saw Luigi went to with the use of his vision to see the footprints Luigi left. "We just got here and mission isn't over yet! I have to regroup with Luigi."
"Duonter's signatures!" Iron exclaimed in shock.
"The first signature! It's ba-"
It flew off.
"Communications! What is-Ahhh!!"
There was a static before the line became dead. Iron gasped.
"I...I don't remember..." He muttered. "I don't remember her."
Zakh turned and was about to speak. Then he suddenly grabbed the file and looked at the members, scanning through the names.
"Help! Argh!"
"Something's coming! Wha-"
"Just what are you!? These...skills...What kind of monster are you!?"
"...Three... four.. six names..." Zakh mutters as he and Iron heard the cutting of communications with the members of Squad Seven.
"My legs...Where are are they? I can't move!"
"Hey! Where are you? What have you done to my eyes!?"
"Mr. Zakh! Mr. Iron! What's happening!?" Rutile screamed.
"Hah...hah...hah..." Iron gasped in horror of what was happening. "This can't be...How...It was so fast!"
"Tell us what the fricking hell is happening right now!" Zakh slams his hand. "We already lost seve-eigh-nine people!"
"I need to help!" Rutile screamed and ran faster.
"Rutile, no!" Iron screamed. "You'll die!"
"I said tell me what the hell's happening there!" Zakh shouts. "Is it an uidentified Dulled attack!?"
"I am about to see!" Rutile jumped and broke through stones to get out of the cave. He looked a head and lift his shield ready while he sent a video feed to communications.
"...N-Nothing..." Iron muttered as he looked at the files. "Only Ore and Duonter are the ones left."
Zakh gripped tightly onto the file he held, slamming it down onto the desk.
He looked around the feed while he heard Iron weep. However, the Shiny Metang looked a head but his tears clouded his eye sight before he spotted something shine.
"Ore, at 7 o'clock!" Iron warned.
Rutile gasped and took out his shield to block the attack at him. He gasped, this attack was greater than anything he faced before. The video feed showed a Mega Garchomp there. The three gasped.
"It can't be!" Iron screamed in disbelief.
Zakh looked at the appearance of the rampant Mega Garchomp in silence. He couldn't find words come out of his mouth.
"Mr. Duonter!?" Rutile scream before he was sent flying with one swipe and then...
Splat!
"...Ah..." Rutile gasped and looked to see a spear pierced his shoulder.
He gritted his teeth and screamed in agony that echoed around the room of communications. Iron began hyperventilating from what he witnessed and heard and Zakh stared, still struck by silence. His pupils kept on dilating.
Rutile was limp on his spot before Luigi threw him to the ground hard. Rutile looked at Luigi while he pushed himself off the ground weakly. Blood fell down to the ground.
"Please! Stop!" Iron screamed.
There was only feral growling coming from Luigi's communicator to echo out along.
Luigi looked at one direction. The way to Hoenn. Lilycove City...
Rutile realized this and he knew that if he went there...Thousands would die. He couldn't let it happen.
"...Mr. Stor...Mr. Polarize..." Rutile muttered as he rose and put his shield up. "Tell Treant that I am sorry."
"Ore?" Iron gasped.
"...Fallen Shield Arts!" Iron exclaimed. "Last Line!"
He slammed his shield down and created a dome before Luigi could get and fly toward the city at Hoenn. Rutile had trapped the beast with him.
Luigi growled at the sudden barrier and turned sharply at Rutile steeling himself.
He rushed at him and tackled him onto his back while the shield stood still. The uniform Rutile wore separated, Luigi looked at the bare muscular torso Rutile had. The two saw the Mega Garchomp above the Rampardos through the feed. The spear was rose and then impaled Rutile's stomach.
"Ore!" Iron screamed.
Luigi looked and realized that Rutile was still alive. He growled and took out his bloody spear out of his body and began impaling him repeatedly.
"How are we supposed to tell your girlfriend about a dead person's wish!?" Zakh snaps.
"Arrrggghhh!" Rutile growled while blood burst out of his mouth and wounds. "I won't let more lives...be lost...and...I won't...let Luigi...fall into further despair! Better...better me than him...and them!"
He won't...He won't let Luigi suffer the consequences of his unconscious movement.
"So please..." Rutile looked defiantly. "Come back to us!"
A burst of blood erupted out of his body while the two watched in total shock and silence.
"Treant...I'm...sorry...Good...bye..." Rutile's eyes closed and the barrier disappeared. "Luigi...Don't...lose your...way..." His shield lost its luster...
Luigi stood before his body until he blinked and his body glowed. He was back to his normal self. He looked down.
"..."
He realized that he was above Rutile's body. His eyes were closed and blood was around him. He wasn't breathing. He looked at his arms... his body... covered in blood.
He realized what he had done.
Iron looked down and wept bitterly. His entire body shook. This can't be happening...It had to be a dream.
Zakh, after another session of silence, finally speaks. "...They're all dead."
Luigi looked at his arms and spear...He heard what Zakh spoke then...that meant...Everyone...All of Squad Seven...including Rutile...
...He... he killed... them... He killed them all...
"...Ahhh... I... ahhh..." Luigi's voice shook. His body... doesn't feel so good... Luigi began to feel his body lose energy...
Before he lost all energy that led him to fall unconscious, he let out a scream.
"..AAAAAHHHHHH!!!"
It rained as he wept and tears fell down his eye. Rain drops fell on the bodies of the fallen members of Squad Seven. The monster cried in agony.
