STEFAN STOOD observing the room as he heard a bunch of groans coming from the others, waking up. He saw his brother come to a complete wake, as he helped Elena up, while Enzo had helped Valerie up. He shook his head as he faced the Mikaelson brothers with two people he didn't know.

Tyler came to a complete wake state of mind as he glared at Klaus which Klaus ignored. Matt was confused as all of his memories were rushing to the surface. Klaus took a step forward as he eyed Stefan specifically, "Where is Caroline, Katherine, and Bonnie?"

Stefan narrowed his eyes but before he could reply his brother cut him off, "What are you talking about blondie is gone?"

Kol shut his eyes as he knew that will get a reaction out of Klaus. He took a step forward to block Klaus from doing anything stupid, "What do you mean she is gone?"

Damon shut his eyes as confusion was held in his eyes. Elena ignored the brothers, "She is alive, but made us think she died."

Elijah narrowed his eyes, "Miss Gilbert do you mean she faked her death?"

Stefan shook his head as he sat down in confusion, "No, she died. I watched her die but she is alive. I don't know how."

Freya glanced at the dark haired boy remembering Rebekah mentioning the girl, "She is a vampire, maybe she survived it? I'm Freya by the way."

Stefan gave her a gentle smile, "Stefan and no she was stake in heart."

Klaus clenched his fist as it was taking everything in him not to destroy this entire room. He narrowed his eyes as he gritted out, "Who killed her?"

Stefan tried to remember but nothing came to his mind. As he let out a small whisper, "I don't know."

Klaus took a deep breath to keep himself in control as everything was hazy. Elena eyed Mikaelson, "What do you want with them?"

None of the Mikaelson spoke as silence fell upon the room. Valerie eyed Stefan, "I can try to do a locator spell."

Kol eyed the brunette girl, "It won't be of any use."

Vincent stayed silent as his eyes were trained on the three brothers as he sighs meaning whoever these girls are might be, are carrying a tremendous amount of power on them. The burden they have to carry must be so tiring.

Elijah eyed his brothers, "Perhaps we should head back."

Stefan stood up for his seat, "Can I come? I want to help in any way I can?"

Elena and Damon stood next to him as they just wanted to find out what happened to the girls, their hate for the Mikaelson will be put on the side. Klaus rolled his eyes as he could care less but nodded for them to join.

Stefan, Elena, and Damon waved goodbye to Valerie, Tyler, Matt and Enzo. As they all had their way to New Orleans. But behind them left a suspicious Freya and Vincent at the three brothers.

While Enzo had parted ways to travel leaving Valerie alone, as the two boys when back home. She texted the baby blonde vampire.

Katherine is right, they are smart and took the others with them minus matt, tyler, and enzo. They know about you being dead and alive again. They are too worried about you three that they did not notice my vamp side but i think it is the bracelet that bonnie made me. stay safe! call me if you need me :)

Valerie put her phone away as she exited the boarding house getting ready to meet up with Lucy Bennett at a small town in California.

PAST, limbo

Caroline gripped tightly against the cold tile that gave her prickly sensation against her palm. Tears came into her vision as a pounding headache emerged in the center of her forehead, she swiped her hand across her nose as droplets of blood came out of her. Caroline repeatedly laid a hand on the chest and lightly pressed down to calm her breathing.

All she wants is to be able to sleep as darkness consumes her but all she is stuck with is the countless suffocating nightmare. Her day came in one unless suffocating loop, drowning of rage, as a prickling cold sensation washes over her.

She does not want to do nothing, not get up, eat, or live. And it takes all of her remaining power to make the right decision, to reach for the air that emanates from the emerald foliage and take a breath. She was forced to murder one of her teammates.

As the blood gushed out of her, a person who considered her a friend thrust the knife into her chest. She only knew her by daisy since the Inadu's program was separated into various parts.

She wiped her tears as she could not be seen crying. It will make her weak. She heard light footsteps as a woman entered the room.

Caroline studied her as her dark reddish hair that bounces with every step she takes. Recognition fills Caroline, as that is Aurora. Inadu's favorite girl. Aurora asked her,"You okay?"

Caroline felt confusion hit her as she observed the room and noticed there were just the two of them. Caroline felt a tightening sensation on her throat as she mustered out, "I am okay."

PRESENT, bulgaria

Caroline rubbed her eyes as she came to a complete wake. She observes her surroundings as she is in the back seat with Katherine and Bonnie in front. She sighs as she leans her head against the window, confusion settles into her. She knew Aurora back in there, but why did she forget about her as soon as she got out?

Her thoughts were broken when Katherine's voice cut her off, "You okay cupcake?"

Caroline gave a stifled nod as Katherine can always see past hers and Bonnie's facade but she let it go for now. Caroline's phone buzzed as she smiled, "Valerie is sending love to us."

Katherine and Bonnie both put smiles on their faces. It is funny how quickly they became friends with her but she had her back and meant no harm. Bonnie glances down on her phone, "Take a right here."

Katherine took a right turn as she parked at old dirt parking lot as around them was surrounded by old homes. It was full of trees that surrounded them three as a way to give them a way to be present when darkness surrounds them.

The three exit the car taking in the fresh cold air. Bonnie could not help as she took a picture of Katherine who looked so nostalgic. She put her phone away and took a moment to appreciate everything around her.

The peacefulness before the chaos.

Bonnie eyed the two, "It should be up that way."

The two nodded as they followed Bonnie who was leading them from a map off her phone. Lucy had gone back to the states to investigate more about merging spells, who would meet up with Valerie. They walked further into the town noticing new homes being built and digging sites near the town.

Normally, digging on other sites did not necessitate any security. However, there was a major problem with tomb robbers in Bulgaria. Permits to burrow or gain access other dig sites take a lengthy time to get. In certain cases, the wrong people learn about this, and there have been a few robberies and fatal accidents. Digging locations, whether boring or not, provided an opportunity to discover something useful that may be used in the future.

The three of them headed to the left, where Bulgaria nightlife was just getting started. Walking further deeper into the town they enter an area full of men and women drinking and dancing around like there is no tomorrow.

Numerous clubs were playing loud music, drawing travelers in. It was easy for them to get in because their inexperience was obvious. The three went to the bar as soon as they came in, surrounded by music that wasn't too loud because they were outside.The girls got some attention from the strangers when they crossed their legs and perched on the high barstool.

Caroline wasn't scared to flirt or have a one-night stand, but she mostly didn't want to. That's why, when the girls took the seat beside her, she felt relieved since she knew no one would approach her. They decide to get a drink to take the moment in. A waiter set their drinks down while the girl mumbled out a thank you.

Katherine glanced at the blonde, "What did Valerie tell you?"

Caroline took a sip of her drink as she let out sighs, "That they know I died and Stefan, Elena, and Damon joined them in New Orleans."

Bonnie scoffed as she chugged her drink down. She sighs, "None of them care. No one cares for us besides us. We might have those three brothers after us but as soon as they find out about what we went through, what we have to do. They will probably run away."

Katherine and Caroline stayed quiet as for Bonnie it was harder for her to come to terms that everything they endured. She was right though, maybe Stefan and the brothers cared but will they care when they find out what they have to do?

Maybe they will care but will they be able to handle that they are not those girls that they remembered?

Life teaches you things and as much it hurts if anyone gets in their way none of them will hesitate to kill them. Plus they are doing everyone else a favor while it is up to them to save the world, like if they were some goddamn heroes.

Bonnie sighs, "We have to avoid them at every cause, especially Klaus."

Katherine let out snort at that as she eyed Caroline, "That man is probably on a killing spree as we speak to figure out what happened to you."

Caroline rolled her eyes but she knew he was either killing everyone or forcing every witch he knows to find her. He cares a lot about her and she did not know why it took her so long to see it. Maybe some part of her thought that she did not deserve him at all.

He was a thousand years old. What was it about her that he enjoyed?

She sighs knowing if he finds her then he literally won't let her go. No matter how much she rebuttals and fights back, that man will put her on house arrest.

She sighs as she eyed Bonnie with a faint smile on her, she can't believe that both her and Katherine are her biggest supporters when it comes to Klaus.

Caroline lifted her glass, "Then let the games begin."

The three toasted at that as they stood up and made their way out the bar. They made their way further out of town as they climbed a hill to find a cave. Katherine narrowed her eyes as she glanced at Bonnie, "You sure is here?"

Bonnie nodded, staring at her phone, "Yea it should be further down in the cave."

Caroline winced as she really hated the dark, she let out a shaky breath, "Let's go then."

The three heads huddled together as they walked inside the dark cave. Into a bright light came their way, they head to the light staring at in amazement. The light brightened the whole cave but it was alluring the girls in.

It was warm, claming, and addicting. It pulled them in like some drug that kept them wanting more of it.

But then it was gone, leaving a ring of three kinds. An ocean blue one, red ruby one, and sage like the leaves.

Katherine narrowed her eyes, "What is this?"

The other two did not answer as Caroline grabbed the blue one, Bonnie the green one, and Katherine the red one. They each put it on but nothing happened.

Caroline tilted her head, "That was disappointing."

Katherine admires the red stone on her finger. Bonnie shook her head, "The stone should have been here."

Caroline shook her head, "What if it was a mislead by him."

Katherine sighs as she cringes at his mention. She can't wait until the three of them can kill him. Bonnie frowned, "You don't think it was Inadu?"

Caroline stuck her tongue against her mouth, "No, she just wants power in the limbo. While he has an entire vendetta against the three of us."

Bonnie shook her head, "Why can't things ever go our way?"

Katherine snorted, "When do things ever go our way?"

Bonnie gave her a sheepish smile, "In my dreams they do."

Katherine rolled her eyes as she stuck her tongue at her while Bonnie rolled her eyes. Caroline rolled her eyes as a chill entered her, "Can we go now?"

The two girls nodded as Bonnie eyed the two, "Now off to where?"

Katherine let out a little smirk, "We are going back to our hometown."
