=0=At Speedy Moving and Storage in Iacon

Ratchet pressed the button to open their storage unit which had just been collected and brought down to the ground by overhead crane. They needed this given the Man Cave and thus that which didn't fit or wasn't needed at the moment inside their apartment found itself here. He'd visited his last patient here in Iacon before hoofing it over to the storage place to get Christmas Surprise underway. He walked into the unit admiring Ironhide's organization …

"This is how a good storage unit looks," Ironhide had said. In metal and plastic-like containers, everything that they usually kept in the unit in their building was here meticulously organized and stacked. Hanging from the ceiling near the back were little cribs that the big 'crybaby' couldn't get rid of.

"HEIRLOOMS! SOME FINE ORN, BUT NOT TOO SOON, GRAND KIDS WILL OCCUPY THOSE LITTLE BEDS! SEE THAT BOX BED? I USED IT AT THE ARMORY TO NAP THE INFANTS! I, IRONHIDE ORGANIZE NAPS FOR INFANTS!",

The little beds stayed though there was never any possibility that they'd be ever put on the bot version of ebay, Check My Junk. Apparently that name was a big deal among the human community and a prestige point to have an account on the service for humans high and low born.

The slaggers.

He saw what he needed, then pulled them out, stacking all of the containers neatly in a cart. The trees would be loaded on another that could handle tall items and when all was retrieved the crane system would take the unit back to the high up perch where it was located in a huge stacked tower among many others in the vast storage building that served about 1,500 individuals at this location. He programmed the carts to follow him, then walked down the corridor to the consultation window where he would organize delivery with a feisty little elder mini-con, a bestie to Gigantor whose family owned and ran the place.

Gigantor was a dwarf bot, a mech who would have been as tall as anyone else but for a glitch in his CNA matrix. As it was, he was a god in the mini-con community with the tiny antique femme who like him liked to face in electrical closets around the colony and who was his bond since before the birth of Unicron. His half tall-statured and half short-statured kids and their families ran the place like a Prussian fortress 'meeting and beating the competition EVERY time' as their televised ads always said.

"Hey, Marti," Ratchet said to a tiny mech who was sitting on a tall stool working the computers like he invented them which he didn't but the programming® was® proprietary® to® the® family® firm®.

Like that.®

"Hey, Ratchet. Getting a jump on things, I see," Marti said with a big smile.

"I am. We have about seventeen million children and it takes a while to get them all their stuff when the line ends down on the sidewalk outside," Ratchet said with his best smile.

They yakked together, then Ratchet walked out. The firm would deliver the load to his apartment in the middle of the orn when Ironhide had a moment and could help do the heavy lifting. The rest would be delegated to the big kids to manage for the little ones. That had prompted his ada to say at one time when Hero hurried to do a lot of simple work that no one wanted to because she's that side of the awesome scale: "That's why you have lazy children so you can have champion grandchildren some fine orn. No better role model than a bad one."

ZING!

He walked to the Metro and booked it to the restaurant in The City where they made their home-away-from-home, The Diner On The Corner. He disappeared into the late morning crowd almost immediately.

=0=Around the place

They walked out of the Center after getting the word on Tell. He was doing warrior work on his audials and catching up on his talking. He'd been born deaf but it wasn't so long that it was going to be extra hard to explain sounds, combinations of sounds and how they made meaning. Pausing on the sidewalk to tuck data wafers into subspace that held the reports, Springer adjusted Tell's little onesie. "Where's Ada. I'd like him to check that data."

:Ada. Where are you?: Drift asked.

:Diner On The Corner in Autobot City. Come if you can: Ratchet replied as he sipped his drink.

:On our way: Drift said. "Diner. Now."

They walked onward down the crowded sidewalk heading toward the Diner where they'd sit, order, then listen to Ratchet put the data into words they could understand better with less stress and anxiety. It would be great news all around for Tell.

=0=On the ground on Cybertron

They walked through the cleared streets of a once high caste district in High Plain, an enclave in the polity of Crystal City. The masses of broken glass, crystals and other shiny objects had been taken away by Primus during the Festival a while back. It was awful to see the city like this but several planetary diameters better than seeing it broken on the ground. Towers were rising and the crystal mines where the incredibly high grade crystal that made this area so popular, beautiful and expensive to live were being carefully mined or brought in from other places including Gliese. It was also a part of the thermal activity of Gliese that enormous quality crystals of all colors, hardness and grades were found and carefully cut to bring here to make this city shine again.

In the distance there were the ubiquitous camps of refugees but in some places they seemed to either drop in some discernible manner or at least grow no bigger. Perhaps they really were making headway, Prime thought hopefully.

There were hundreds of millions living in temporary housing like this but the creativity of their utilization of their (enormously) improved living centers was impressive. Some of them looked like real habitations and not the all weather bivouacs that were being used on the grand scale. Streets had elaborate signs and directions in some tent cities with details like outdoor spaces and embellishments of the tents to make them more like a home.

Many were the tents with signs for businesses, comforts available and government services along with artfully designed seating inside and out to accommodate their customers and visitors. Play areas for tiny children had been filled with swings and other toys and were often adjacent to local schools which were usually many tents set inside a fenced area. It was heartening to see The People make their way back from the apocalypse.

Prime considered the beauty of this place once upon a time, then rounded a corner where a series of buildings were being raised with a lot of crystal embellishments. He paused to stare and remembered how beautiful such things were in daylight. Glancing upward, he wished again that the sky was blue once more.

The engineers with him and his party explained how this would be the first hospital here since before the war and it would be available for everyone who needed it. No longer did a person's rank or ability to pay prevent them or theirs from getting the healthcare that Prime wanted all to have. It took a moment to explain the building, vast and rising, then the rest of the area.

It would be the best possible scenario he could have imagined. He never expected to see anything anywhere in Crystal City bearing the beauty it once had. It did him a world of good to listen and see the possibilities. He made a note to tell Omega Supreme.

=0=Diner

Tell stood on the table top in his onesie bobbling as he held Ratchet's servos. He was unsteady but able to get around holding onto things. Drift and Springer watched him like he was made of star dust. "This infant is a strong little thing. I think he's ready to come home to live with us now. Thanks for doing the hard part."

Springer snickered. "Not on your life. By the way, the bottom line of the reports again?"

"You better toughen up, infants. The reports say that the incisions into the protoform are fully healed, his little audials are seated as if they were the ones he was born with and his progress on hearing generally, differentiating sounds, hearing sounds as words and saying them is going well. He's going to stay in the program for a while before you can decide what other school he needs to attend. Or not."

"Not." -both of them

Ironhide snickered as he picked up the baby. He held him up, sniffed him, then kissed his tiny forehead. Sitting him on the table, he held Tell's servos as the baby bounced on his feet and laughed, a tiny sweet sound.

Drift grinned. "He's pretty cute."

"You won't get an argument out of us," Ratchet said.

They ate their meal, shot the shit, then Drift, Tell and Springer left to get ready for work in a few joors.

Ratchet and Ironhide watched them go, then glanced at each other.

"Well?" Ratchet asked.

"We can have the apartment by the elevator," Ironhide said. "We have the whole slagging row but for your genitors and grand genitors."

"Goody on us," Ratchet said with a smile. "What do you think? Six more kids that tall?"

"Sure," Ironhide said. "It'll help Ty and the family out with their friends and give the kids another slice of family life. We can revisit this if it doesn't work out. I, for one don't see that happening."

"Me either. We're still up for a surprise?" Ratchet asked.

"Yep."

"Did you talk to Ty and the Ammas?" Ratchet asked as they rose to go.

"I did. They want the crew coming to do the work to add this to our house to do some at their place for the bots coming. They're not going to change the kids rooms because we may decide to switch this up now and again. They have some other kind of thing they need done." Ironhide grinned. "Maybe they need to reinforce the floors."

"They better. I think Metroplex lives in the apartment below them," Ratchet said as they walked out.

=0=At an apartment on the 24th floor of a tower in the Mare

They filled two duffle bags with their slag, then turned to Bar-O who was the negotiator for the Housing Authority, "We're ready to go."

Bar-O, 'Odie" snickered. "You've lived here over a decade and that's all you got?"

One of the mechs, two brothers who had an 'active social life' (if you know what I mean) grinned. "We usually stay over with friends but it was a nice place to keep our stuff. We'd be strung out all over the colony otherwise."

"I don't mind. Do you have any idea how many kids the family living next door have?" the other brother said as they walked out the door to go to a bachelor tower in Crater District 7, City 5 and a just available penthouse-view two bedroom apartment.

Odie chuckled. "I think I do," he said as they walked into the elevator to leave.

The door closed on them as the other opened. Out walked a construction director and a team of workers. They spotted the apartment nearly in front of them, then walked to the door, opened it and entered. They would be hard at it for two orns before the construction director would walk into the armory and hand over ownership of the place to Ironhide.

Merry Christmas Surprise.

=0=TBC 12-04-2022

Earthrise is coming and appears to be a cute bot focused series that I'm highly looking forward to seeing. It has two bots who were born on Earth and are teenagers. Coming in 2023. Paramount owns and makes all the Bot content. Apparently, 200+ hours are going to be available on Paramount or the Transformers website.

The trailer for Transformers Beast Wars (not the title, I forgot it) is out and looks AMA-ZING. It appears to be almost entirely focused on the bots.

Cast:

Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen)

Optimus Primal (Ron Perlman)

Bumbebee

Arcee

Mirage (who looks great)

Wheeljack (Not a bit of Einstein to be seen)

Cheetor

Airazor

Rhinox

Bad Guys:

Scourge (voiced by Peter Dinklage)

Nightbird

Battletrap

a couple called Dinobot, Bus Bot and another but I can't find it. Oh. I remember. Black Arachnia. :D

The trailer is action packed with very little human involvement. It looks so good. :D

Also, two more TF movies are being hatched and it would appear that all of this is going away from Beyverse toward the Bumblebee movie mode. When they get to now and ignore Bey ever happened to bring back Ironhide, Jazz and everyone else, then I'll be happy. You never know, though there are parts of the Beyverse that I like and have used. HUGS!
