Skye couldn't help herself, couldn't deny the facts. She loved Chase! And all he did was shut her down, brush her aside, 'nuff said. . She was beyond depressed, her nose flaring, her breath hitching, her eyes tearing up as a waterfall. She would make him want her again. She had determination.

She began to stride, no, slouch over to her ex, who was chatting with his best friend Marshall, out by their puphouses. She continued to slouch over to him until she was standing next to him, feeling short but not intimidated. She was sadly gazing at Marshall, who was trying hard to listen to what Chase was saying, but Skye's teary gaze kept shooting through him, and soon he just caught Chase short and nudged him over to Skye. Chase looked surprised for a second, and then a hint of annoyance graced his face. That got Skye riled up so much to the point where she was sobbing while she pleaded with him for Chase to forgive her. Chase just took all her pleas, the epitome of patience, before speaking.

"Well, well, well. Look how all the tables have turned. Guess you finally realised how bad you screwed up, leaving me. You broke my heart y'know. I loved you so, so much." Skye was sobbing even more now, and she opened her mouth to speak, but Chase got there first, steely tones slowly rising in his voice; enmity. "Skye, you took a whole frickin' year of my life away from me, one I could've used doing way better things than slaving away for a bitch like you. And guess what? I'm not too happy about that. Not one bit." He laughed sourly, scornfully. "I can't get that wasted year back, y'know."

Skye was slumped over now, feeling angry at Chase for not forgiving her and guilt for what she had done, dumping him like that. Had it really hurt him that bad? But Chase spoke again, the cold in his voice now in full volume. "You didn't love me when we were together; you only cared for yourself. And now when another boy has dumped you you come crying back to me trying to ask forgiveness for hurting my heart and then just leaving my life." Chase was smiling a little now, and Skye looked up timidly, hoping he would actually forgive her after all. "Are you serious?" Chase said, face red, trying to hold back his laughter. Skye nodded, slightly confused, and Chase couldn't help but burst into laughter. "That's so stupid it's hilarious! You think I would still love you after everything you've done to me? You're delirious!" Chase was holding his head, laughing away. Marshall had been standing behind Chase the whole time, listening to the conversation, and was also laughing, the two's raucous chuckles and giggles near hysteria as they held their stomachs and leaned on each other while they continued to laugh at such a ridiculous thing. Skye was crying even more now, laying down on the ground in humiliation. "This is not how I expected this to go." She thought sadly, but her sadness turned to anger, and she stood, sniffling and red all over. "W-well, fine th-then! I-I don't need you anyway!" She ran off back to her puphouse, slammed the door, and screamed into her pillows, her tears soaking the soft cotton inside.
