"What is she doing here?" Alice snapped.

Edward looked at me, and he looked confused as he should be!

I looked down at the floor. I didn't think I was ready to face the humiliation that was coming my way.

I should have just run away!

But I had become numb.

I wasn't able to think of anything.

"Alice, what's wrong?" Rosalie asked her.

"I can't believe this," she said.

"Babe, please..." I heard Jasper's voice.

"No, Jazz..." she said, "We've finally figured everything out. I don't want her back in our lives. Like, somebody please tell me what this whore is doing here?"

Run, Bella!

Why are you letting her humiliate you!

Just run!

But I couldn't do that.

It's like my legs had been glued to the floor!

That's when I found Edward's arm around my wrap as he pulled me closer.

"You're talking about my girlfriend here," he said, "And I don't want to hear a word against her."

No.

Why was he doing this?

Why was he being so nice to me?

"Girlfriend?" Alice said, "Are you fucking kidding me? Was it not enough for you to fuck my husband that you're also going after my brother? What's your fucking problem?"

"Babe, you need to calm down," Jasper said.

"Excuse me..." I said as I finally found the courage to react.

I just ran from there, and I kept running till I went back to our room.

I realized Edward was running after me.

"Bella, wait..." he said.

My mind had stopped working.

This was a fucking nightmare!

"Edward, I..." I tried to say.

I was sure he'd have questions.

And I knew everything was going to end between us now!

Why was this happening?

"It's fine. You don't owe me any explanation. I mean, that's what our relationship is built upon." he said, "I'm the one who asked you to come here with me, and I'll make sure you don't face any humiliation here. And if you want to leave, that's also fine with me."

"But I..."

"I said, you don't owe me any explanation," he said, "It doesn't really matter to me. Just let me know what you want to do next."

I wasn't sure what hurt more.

The fact that my past was right on my face out of nowhere.

Or Edward's nonchalance towards it.
