I opened my eyes to the dark room of Bruce's. I held my head up and rubbed my face with my hands. I held my hands in front of my face. I quietly sighed out of relief as I saw sparks fly across my fingers. My powers were back and I felt fully charged. All I needed for a good night's sleep.

I looked over at the alarm clock and I felt my body froze as I read the time. 10am?! I thought I set an alarm so I could get to work?! I went to try and get up but I felt something pull me back.

I looked down to see a muscular arm around my waist. I looked over to see Bruce on his side asleep.

"Where do you think you're going?" I heard him ask in a groggy voice. His eyes remained closed but he kept an iron grip around my waist.

"Work. I'm already late. Now let me go before I shock you." I warned as I struggled to get his arm off of me.

"I already called Fox saying you won't be in." I stopped struggling and turned my head over to Bruce.

He had one eye open now. "Why would you do that?" I asked in an accusatory tone.

"You slept through your alarm. I figured you needed your sleep after what happened last night. So I called him." I let out a huff and laid my head back on the pillow below me. I wasn't too thrilled about him calling Mr. Fox.

Any frustration I had towards Bruce suddenly melted away when I felt him pull me into his chest. He kept his grip on my waist and I felt his nose on the back of my neck. His scent was intoxicating being this close to me. My rapid heart beat thudded in my ears as I felt Bruce lightly nuzzle against my neck.

I moved my left arm to rest on top of his that was around my waist. I placed my hand on top of his and threaded my fingers through his. A shudder went down my spine when I felt him place a feathered kiss at the base of my neck. How did this man have this affect on me?

I never thought a relationship like this could ever happen to me. Tony always told me that there was somebody out there. Somebody that would be just as special to me as Pepper is to himself. I always would joke around saying my perfect match wouldn't be on our planet. Well…technically I was right.

I heard the even deep breaths coming from Bruce. His iron grip had finally loosen. He had fallen back asleep. I carefully lifted his arm off of me and slipped out of bed.

I quietly changed into new clothes before taping on my bracelet. My suit stopped at the base of my neck. I took one last look at Bruce sleeping. A small smile graced my lips seeing the peaceful look on his face. My feelings for this man were certainly growing. I think I'm falling in love with Bruce Wayne.

I let the vibranium cover my face as I walked towards the sliding glass door. I opened it just enough to squeeze through before closing it.

I threw my board down on the ground and stepped onto it. "Leaving so soon, Miss Moser?" I turned my head to see Alfred.

He had a watering can in hand while out by the flower beds. "I'll be back, Alfred. If he asks, tell him I went to go see a friend." I informed the butler.

Alfred nodded, "I shall let Master Wayne know." My board began to crackle with my electricity as I took off from the pier.

I hovered down to the Gotham PD building. Detective Martin stood on the roof waiting for me. He had a purple bruise around his left eye and a bandage going across the left side of his forehead.

"You've looked better." I commented through my voice synthesizer. Martin chuckled with a smile.

"Now you're sounding like my wife." I hopped off my board and approached Martin.

"How do you feel?" I asked with concern.

Martin shrugged, "The doc said I got lucky. Fracture to my orbital bone, a couple of stitches, and a slight concussion. I popped some Tylenol. I'll be fine. So, I take it they got away with the statue?" I nodded solemnly.

"It started to rain and my powers don't work when I get wet. I was fighting them off but one of them hit me with their car to win." Martin looked taken aback.

"They hit you with their car?!" He said in disbelief.

"Yeah, I dislocated my shoulder in the process. Batman showed up in time before anything worse happened. I didn't realize the statue was gone until it was too late. That's not why I called you up here though." I said with a serious tone. Martin's face too grew serious hearing my tone of voice.

"You have a mole in your ranks, Detective." Martin's eyes widened.

"What did you just say?" He whispered out.

"Think about it, Penguin lately has been one step ahead of us. He knew the Commissioner stationed men just outside the cave system when he set up Morozov. Then, Penguin's men somehow knew about the sting to lure out Penguin himself with the statue. The only common denominator here is the police force. What officers knew about the party and the sting?" I asked him.

Martin rubbed the right side of his forehead, "The Commissioner set up a task force for Penguin. It could be any of those guys." I nodded.

"Then you need to find out who it is. We won't be able to catch the Penguin while he has a man on the inside." Martin nodded.

"I'll figure out something. You contacted me this time. How can I contact you once I have something?" I unclipped something from my utility belt and placed it into Martin's hand.

He looked at it and frowned, "This looks like a pager. I haven't seen one of these in years." I chuckled.

"It's a modified pager. Just press the button on top and it'll signal me. It has GPS so I can track it down wherever you are." I explained it to him.

"Good to know." Martin said with a grin.

I stepped back onto my board, "Call me when you come up with a plan to weed out the mole." I informed him as my electricity crackled under me.

Martin nodded and I took off into the sky with my board. I might as well make a couple of rounds of patrol before heading back to the penthouse.

I flew down to the pier of the penthouse. The patrols were uneventful. The most exciting thing was getting a cat out of a tree. I'm not even joking, I did the cliché superhero thing. Getting somebody's cat out of a tree.

I could see Alfred was working on something as I landed. I clipped my board to my belt as my suit formed back to my bracelet.

"What are you working on?" I asked as I got closer. It looked to be a black sports motorcycle that Alfred was working on.

"I have a list I've been meaning to work on. This is one of them." Alfred stated. I raised an eyebrow as I studied the bike.

"I didn't take you for a grease monkey, Alfred." I said jokingly. Alfred grinned and laughed.

"Who do you think keeps all of Master Wayne's motor vehicles running?" I pointed at the black sports motorcycle.

"This is his?" Alfred nodded.

"Master Wayne purchased it mainly to keep up his image as a playboy billionaire. He's only ever ridden it once." I grimaced and shook my head.

"That's a crying shame. A bike this good needs to be ridden more than once." Alfred finished tightening something before standing back up. He grabbed a clean cloth and wiped away the grease from his hands.

"I've finished the maintenance. Now it just needs a test drive. Miss Moser," I turned to Alfred as he held the keys out, "Would you like to test drive it?" A grin broke out on my face.

"There's a road that circles the lake, right?" Alfred nodded. I took the keys from Alfred's hand.

I threw my leg over the bike and put the keys into the ignition. The bike roared to life. I kicked back the kickstand and grinned as I revved the engine. It's been a while since I've driven a bike like this.

"Allow me to fetch the helmet for y-" Before Alfred could finish his sentence I released the throttle.

The bike hiked up onto the back wheel for a second as I took off. I placed the front tire back on the gravel below and the bike sped off. I looked behind me for a split second. I could see Alfred getting smaller as the bike raced down the gravel path.

I turned my head back around and leaned into the curve. The bike turned like a dime. A large grin was on my face as I laughed.

"Let's see how fast you can go." I said my thoughts out loud. I assumed since Bruce bought this as an act that this model would be completely decked out. Since this is a sports model, it's made to go fast.

I released the throttle some more and the bike responded with ease. The trees passed by in a blur, the wind sounded in my ears and swept through my blonde hair, and the bike's engine roared as I pushed it to its limits. Bruce only riding this bike once should be a crime. Who knows how long this had been just sitting with the rest of his collection.

I took another steep turn around the lake. My knee hovered just above the gravel path from the tight turn. I was starting to come around the other side of the penthouse.

I could make out Alfred standing out front and he was now joined by another figure. I could already tell from the more muscular frame that it was Bruce.

As I got closer to the penthouse I began to slow down the bike. I came to a stop as I pulled up to the front of the penthouse. I used my foot to put down the kickstand and turned off the engine.

Bruce had an amused smirk on his face with his hands in his pockets. "Alfred told me you went out on a little joyride." He stated.

I swung my leg over the bike and pointed at him, "It is a crime that this bike just sits in the garage and collects cobwebs." I scolded him.

Bruce chuckled, "He mentioned that too. I only got it to uphold my image to the public. If I want to use a bike, I have one that's meant for Batman. Since you seem to like it so much, you can have it." My jaw practically fell to the floor.

"Wha? Bruce, no. I can't just accept the fact that you're just giving away the bike." I refused the offer. The bike is fantastic don't get me wrong but I could always work towards getting my own. I don't need handouts.

Bruce smiled and raised one eyebrow, "I thought it was common practice for boyfriends to shower their girlfriend's with gifts?" My body completely froze. What did he just say?

"Did you just…?" I trailed off completely speechless.

Bruce's smile grew, "Only if you want to, Mel. Make it official, I mean."

I smiled and walked up to him. I stood on the balls of my feet as I placed a kiss on his lips.

I pulled back, "That answer your question?" Bruce grinned and pulled me to him.

"It does and good thing too, otherwise this next part would be awkward." I frowned at that. What did he mean by awkward?

"I made a dinner reservation tonight at the best restaurant in Gotham. We'll have the entire place to ourselves this evening. It's already gotten press attention and the rumor mill is already running." I raised a brow at that.

"How did you get a restaurant to close off all access to other customers?" Bruce smirked.

"I own it." My face deadpanned. Bruce Wayne just pulled a Tony Stark.

"Of course you do." I muttered under my breath.

"And I already have a dress picked out for you." I gave an exasperated sigh.

"Of course you did." Is this how Pepper feels?

The black limousine pulled up to the restaurant. I could already see the press huddled around with their cameras and microphones out. Security was keeping the vultures at bay. No matter what world you're in, these guys never change.

"We don't have to do this if you don't want to, Mel." I heard Bruce's voice come from next to me.

I turned to look at him. He was wearing a custom tailored suit with a bow tie around his neck. I myself was currently wearing a deep burgundy dress that stopped just below my knees and was a single sash on my shoulders. My left shoulder was exposed while the right one was covered.

"No, this was going to happen eventually one way or another. I've dealt with the press before. Nothing I can't handle." I said with a confident smirk.

Bruce smiled back, "We're ready, Alfred." He called out. Alfred got out from the driver side of the limousine.

I watched through the tinted windows as he came around. The door opened and Bruce was the first one to exit the car. Flashes from the cameras started as soon as Bruce got out. I could hear several different questions coming from multiple people.

Bruce held out his hand for me to grab. I took his hand and he helped me out of the limousine. I squinted my eyes for a split second from all of the flashes. Several questions began to be shouted out from the reporters. Bruce looped my arm through his as we began to walk to the front doors.

"Who is she, Bruce?!"

"What's her name?!"

"Does she work for your company?!"

"Are you two exclusively dating?!"

Bruce ignored the questions as we walked towards the front of the restaurant. He did have that fake charming smile on while they were taking photos. I had my own fake smile on my face. I'm not going to lie, I do not miss this.

A waiter opened the door to the restaurant as we got closer. Bruce stopped just before the door. He turned around to face the reporters. They quieted down expecting him to speak up now.

"All that you need to know is that the beautiful woman on my arm has me completely wrapped around her finger." Bruce's eyes flickered down to mine. His genuine smile showed through his act. A small smile grew on my face as I glanced at him from the corner of my eyes.

The reporters went into another uproar, "What is your name?!" I heard one of the reporters over the others.

"Melody Moser." I answered simply. More flashes and questions came from the vultures.

"No further questions." Bruce announced and led us both inside the restaurant.

We walked into the restaurant where a man in a suit and tie waited for us. He bowed his head once we stopped in front of them.

"Mr. Wayne, please follow me to your table." I was confused as the waiter led us to an elevator.

"Since when does a restaurant have an elevator?" I asked in a hush voice.

Bruce chuckled, "There's a private presidential dining room."

"You sure know how to keep a girl on her toes." I joked which earned a laugh from Bruce.

Bruce and I were quietly eating our food and enjoying our drinks. The waiters left us alone after the food had arrived. We were having several bits of small talk. One, currently, that surprised me.

"Say again how long it's been since you've had alcohol?" I asked in shock.

Bruce chuckled, "Just over ten years. I haven't had a drop since I left Gotham." This conversation got brought up when the waiters brought a sparkling cider for the drink.

"What did you do with the champagne you grabbed at the Mayor's party then?" I asked.

"Never took a sip. I only held it." Bruce informed me.

I shook my head, "I can't wrap my head around that. I've had some fights where all I can think about is getting back and having a glass of wine or a shot of whiskey to destress." I said honestly.

Bruce chuckled, "What's the worst fight you've been in?" He suddenly asked.

I grimaced in thought, "Oh that's a tough one. There's been a lot." My mind scrambled through all my fights I had as part of The Avengers. The fight with Thanos was sticking out for sure but I'm not ready to talk about that just yet with Bruce. Well…there was Ultron.

"Have you seen Terminator?" Bruce frowned and slowly nodded, "Well imagine Skynet but real and having a physical form." Bruce's eye brows raised in surprise.

"You fought a robot that was looking to take over the world?" He said in disbelief.

I nodded my head, "His name was Ultron and he saw humans as a disease on Earth. He was going after complete human annihilation." Bruce frowned.

"How have I never heard of this? Something massive on that scale would have been world-wide news." I shrugged.

"We stopped it before it did." Bruce's head tilted at me. I caught myself too late. I just said "we".

"We?" Bruce questioned. Why did he have to be so observant?

"Remember those meta-humans I mentioned? The magic user and speedster? Them and some others helped. It was a team effort to stop Ultron." I said cryptically. Please don't probe, please don't probe.

"A team?" And he's probing…

I opened my mouth to answer him but my eyes caught something behind Bruce. There shining in the night sky was the bat signal. Oh thank god.

Bruce noticed my gaze and turned around, "Damnit." I heard him curse under his breath.

My bracelet suddenly beeped and I looked down to see a flashing red dot. Martin. He's calling Voltess. Bruce looked at me, seeing the flashing red light.

"This can't be good if they're calling Voltess and Batman." I stated out loud.

Bruce's jaw muscles tighten as he pulls out his phone, "Alfred? Yes, I saw it. Bring the suit up." He hung up his phone and gave an exasperated look.

"I'm sorry that our dinners keep getting cut short." I gave a cock eyed smile.

"Eh, it keeps it exciting at least." The corner of Bruce's mouth curved up in an amused smile.

I heard the elevator ding and the doors open. Alfred was standing there with a server table and large metal briefcases adorned it.

Bruce and I stood up as Alfred rolled the table in. "How are we going to disappear with the press still downstairs? They'll see Batman and Voltess leave. It'd be too obvious." I asked as Bruce unclipped the metal briefcase.

He opened it to reveal the chest piece to his suit with the bat symbol standing out.

"Allow me to worry about that, Miss Moser." Alfred said in assurance.

I frowned, "The car's parked around the back. The press will see it leave and think we're inside it. They'll follow it like moths drawn to a flame." I turned to Bruce as he spoke.

I smirked, "That'll work. Hurry and suit up. We don't want to keep Gordon and Martin waiting." Bruce smirked as he closed the briefcase.

He grabbed both large briefcases in either hand, "Not everyone can put their suit on with a simple press of a button, Mel." He chastised. He headed to the men's room with the briefcases.

"All I'm hearing is the sound of you talking when you should be changing!" I yelled out as the bathroom door closed.

Alfred had an amused smile on his face, "I'll go get the car. Good luck, Miss Moser." Alfred said as he turned around.

I turned around to face the view of the city as I heard the sound of the elevator going down. I tapped my bracelet and let my suit surround my frame.

I flew over Gotham City on my board while Bruce glided down just below me. Occasionally, he would have to grapple to my board to get more height in order to continue gliding. It's a good thing at least one of us can fly.

We neared Gotham PD's building where the spotlight was shining. I could already make out Gordon and Martin from my night vision.

Bruce dove down and I followed just behind him. He landed in a crouched position as his cape draped in front him. I came to a hover just above the building.

Martin let out a whistle, "That was cooler than I was expecting." Gordon shot his detective a look.

"Why did you call us?" The deep robotic voice of Batman demanded.

"We found the third statue." Our heads perked up hearing this.

"Which one?" I asked.

"The diamond one. It just arrived on a carrier at the shipyard on the south side." Gordon answered.

"What about the mole?" Batman asked gruffly.

"We fed the task force some misinformation on purpose. We made sure it didn't sound too far-fetched. If it works, then Penguin's men will be at the wrong shipyard on the eastern side. You two secure the diamond penguin and we'll handle Penguin's men." Martin instructed.

"This could very well be our shot at finally getting the Penguin. If we can get our hands on the statue and get rid of the mole at the same time…" Gordon trailed off.

"We can set a trap for Penguin." I finished. Gordon nodded his head.

"We'll get the statue." Batman assured Gordon.

Gordon nodded, "Good luck, to the both of you."

"That's our line to you, Commissioner." I commented as I began to hover higher into the air.

"Hey Voltess," I turned to Martin, "Don't stand in the middle of the street this time." I let out a laugh to his reference. I'm not the only one that got hit by a car yesterday.

"Like you're one to talk." I quipped back.

I moved my board to move forward and I heard the popping sound of Batman's grapple gun going off. I felt the extra weight added to my board which signaled me to gain some altitude for him.

"I don't like him." I heard Bruce's normal deep voice come through our comms.

I chuckled, "Hey, he's allowed to make that reference. He got hit by the same car as I did." I defended Martin.

"Hm. I still don't like him." I rolled my eyes underneath my mask. Men.
