Quietly, I float near the ceiling. When someone opens the door, I rush in. Usually nobody looks up so I should be fine. The only issues is, where do they keep the bodies? I float over on top of the desk area. I shoot a small bolt down the hallway to make noise. The secretary person flinches swinging their head towards it. As soon as they get up to go over, I slide down the wall to hide under the desk. I peek up at all the documents, steal some candy from the candy bowl, and grab a small map pinned up near the computer.
Let's see, the bodies are near the back and towards the right. Easy peazy. I float up to the ceiling again and out the front door. I go to the outside of where the map said the room was. BOOM! The alarms all go off while I zoom around looking at all the bodies. I find Cordelia on one of the tables, they must have been looking at her.
I lay her gently on the grass. I'm hiding in the nearby hills from the city. I'm afraid. I don't want to see her lifeless body again. I know it may be helpful if I do. I cry into my legs for a bit. My heart hurts and my body aches. My mind is fuzzy. I can hear a part of me say how I should give up, than I hear the other part screaming at me to just look already. I feel like my eyes are lifeless. My hand moves on its own, taking the cover off her face. Luckily her eyes are closed. Her lips are a cool blue and the grayness of her hair shines more than ever. A beautiful ghost.
Stripping away the rest of the cover, I notice her stomach has a circle on it. It looks like burn marks from a fire blast. The first person that comes to mind is Brick. He usually liked playing with fire. He wouldn't do this right? My...My brothers don't hate me that much, right? It...It could be Him, or Mojo. But...do they hate me that much? I mean, Mojo is the one that left me. What if they don't want me happy?
I can't think of anyone else who would go so far. Did it have anything to do with me in the first place? Maybe it's a coincidence. I wipe the sweat off my forehead. I need more answers. Searching the rest of the body yields nothing. I need to find someone who uses fire to attack with. To be honest, that narrows it down to everyone. Anyone can use fire for death, but then again not everyone can do it in one spot. Her whole body isn't burned. Just that circle.
I fly her back near the building I got her from. I throw pebble at an officer so he would look over and notice the body. I watch from above making sure she is taking care of. I just need to wait now for the alley and house to clear. There's nothing else I can do.
