Sarah was in her room waiting for sleep to come for her. She was about to go onto summer vacation. Then she would be in her senior year. She will soon be done with High School! And she couldn't wait to be finished with it.
She hasn't told anyone about what had happened that night. No one would believe her if she did. So it was between Toby and her. She still spoke with her friends that she made there, Ludo the friendly giant who speaks to rocks, Sir Didimus and his trusty steed Ambrosius who were so brave... sometimes, and Hoggle who would not admit that he cares about someone for awhile till it's to obvious.
She looked outside as a storm came passed her home. She reached out and turned the light on to go check on Toby. She knew he hated storms, they scared him, and even though he's with their parents, she wanted to make sure he is still asleep.
But as she reached for her dad and Karen's bedroom doorknob, she heard skittering down by the stairs. She turned her head to look and saw nothing. She grasped the knob but it wouldn't move at all.
She figured they locked it so she wouldn't wake Toby up like she has before. She sighed but jumped with a gasp and turned to look around as the sound came back once more. She carefully made her way down the stairs. She tried to turn the lights on, but they didn't turn on. The storm must've knocked it out.
She gulped, her phone was upstairs. So she had no flashlight. She wanted to run back upstairs, but her feet kept her going down the steps. She tried to stop herself still though. She was soon standing in the hallway, and saw something in the flash of thunder. It was in the living room.
So she made her way there. She then tensed up. Someone was defiantly here. She could feel their eyes on her. A familiar feeling of magic was in the air. Sarah felt it, and it was familiar. She went to scream for her dad but she found that she couldn't.
"Where are you?" She breathed out. It was all she could get out. All she heard was his familiar chuckle. "I'm all around you." He told her from all around. She tried to find him. Once she felt that she had movement, she tried to make a dash for the stairs.
But she was pinned to the wall. "I don't think so my pet." Sarah heard him said behind her. She struggled. Her front pinned to the wall so she soon felt him stroke the back of her head. She kept struggling.
"Don't touch me!" She demanded. Soon she was spun around to face the Goblin King. She glared at his handsomely smug face. "Hello again Sarah." He purred her name as he grabbed her chin.
"Get away from me. You have no power over me!" She shouted. And he glared, grabbing her throat and lifting her up into the air. She choked and fought to get free and get air into her begging lungs.
"You're right. I don't have power over you yet. But I will soon." She kicked him and it made him grunt. He dropped her and she grabbed her throat gasping for air, and tried to crawl away. He grabbed her by the hair and tugged her up. She screamed in pain.
He held out a crystal in between the two.
"I will give you the same offer I gave you when we last were together. Just fear me, love me, and I will be your slave. Be mine Sarah. You belong to me. You have nothing here. Everything for you is with me. I will give you the worlds." He said. She spat in his eye.
"Go fuck yourself." She spat at him.
He growled and before he could do anything she gasped awake in her bed.
She sat there looking around as she tried to catch her breath. Her heart raced inside her chest. She turned the lamp that is beside her bed, on and looked around. She started racing as she realized it was only a dream.
She laid back down and looked up at the ceiling. She rubbed her forehead. She calmed down and attempted to go back to sleep, but wasn't able to. Not seeing the owl that watched her from her window.
