Okay then. I'm back. Sorry for the wait. And now with the second chapter of the story. This would be a potentially juicy scene with Heather managing to put the pieces together, and now answers will be revealed. With more of the Total Drama contestants waking up to find themselves in this mess, a certain redhead will inadvertently give them the answers to all this. But now, as they figure out what's going on, you can't help but wonder what will happen in this second chapter of Second Chances…
Aztec 13: Already enthusiastic, I see. Well, our characters are in for a wild ride.
Again, sorry for the wait. Decided to take a break from writing for a while bc I literally speedrun writing Running Time.
We see Heather, Chet and Lorenzo gathering around the holographic screen in the central building of the base camp, trying to make sense of what they're seeing. Heather was trying to find a more reasonable explanation to this predicament, while the Stepbrothers, well…
"Maybe there was an alien attack and that the guys here went to fight them." Chet states.
"Yeah, or maybe it's a hacker attack." Lorenzo states. "Though I have no idea about the hologram."
"No, I don't think any of those theories are feasible." Heather states. "I really hope this is a joke."
Heather taps the holographic screen and swipes it, and the screen swipes like an actual phone. This caught her off guard.
"What? This can't be real, can it?" Heather was utterly confused.
"I think it is. You saw the Charge Rifle, right?" Lorenzo states.
"Yeah, and this hologram can be interacted with." Chet states.
"No, I refuse to believe that we somehow got dragged 700 years in the future." Heather states, denying the fact. "I need some sort of reason on why we were sent here."
"I think we need to explore this place even more, that way, we can get answers." Chet states. "And maybe even get more weapons."
"I agree with that, especially the second part." Lorenzo states in wanting to find more weapons.
"No, not the weapons part." Heather protested against the idea. "What we need to do is go back to the facility and look for clues. Maybe that way, we can piece together what had happened."
Suddenly, Duncan barges into the building.
"Guys, I saw a laser blast coming from here so I thought to come here." Duncan states. "And do you realise this camp looks more like a military outpost?" He then adds the odd look of the camp.
"Yeah, we noticed too. We're trying to find answers." Heather states. "Come on, let's get back to the facility."
"Oh hey, what's this?" Duncan eyed the Charge Rifle on the floor.
"Don't pick that up!" Heather yelled to stop Duncan from using it. "That is a powerful gun!"
"Whoa! What?!" Duncan was caught off guard by the yelling. "A gun?! What is a gun doing here?!"
"We'll demonstrate it for you!" Lorenzo yelled.
"Yeah!" Chet yelled.
"Wait, what?!" Duncan was surprised by this.
"Oh no!" Heather yelled.
Chet and Lorenzo pick up the gun and aim it out the door. They pull the trigger, and the gun winds up and a laser gets blasted out the door and into the mountainside. The recoil blasts the two backwards, crashing into a window out the building.
"It's even better the second time!" Chet yelled.
"Whoa! That was gnarly. Why would you guys even do that for a second time?!" Duncan asks.
"We have no idea." Lorenzo states.
"So, why do we have to go back to the facility?" Duncan then turns to Heather.
"I guess I have to show you what I've found." Heather states, ready to show what information they have came across.
-Chapter 2: Protective Instinct-
We then cut back to the facility. Almost everyone was surprised to see Chris getting spit out from cryostasis, as they believed that he was the one who brought them here.
"What? Chris was kidnapped along with us?" Courtney was perplexed by this. "This is getting more confusing by the second."
"Hey, is Chris supposed to be here?" Lindsay was not catching the situation.
"I don't know Linds, maybe we can get payback?" Tyler tries to think of what to do.
"No, don't beat him up, not unless we know for sure what happened." Gwen states.
Chris then begins to wake up. His drowsey expression quickly turns to fear as he finds himself in an unknown location surrounded by the contestants he loved to torture.
"What the?! Where am I?! What are you guys doing here?! And was Larry fed today?!" Chris was panicking while asking questions.
"Hey! Chris! Snap out of it!" Leshawna yelled.
"Oh no! I'm in a dream where my contestants punish me for all I've done! And Don too for some reason…" Chris states.
"Sounds like a good idea." Jo snarked.
"Chris, calm down." Courtney then tries to take control of the situation.
"Get back!" Chris yelled.
Chris then slaps Courtney's hand, making her drop the remote. The button was pressed another time during this.
"Ow! Hey!" Courtney yelped. "Oh you're gonna get it now!" She then looks at him with ferocity.
"Hey Courtney. He's just as confused as we are." Gwen states, trying to stop any brewing conflicts.
While this was going on, a cryo chamber opened, dropping our resident tempered bodybuilder, Eva. She quickly gets up and shrugs off the cold.
"Ugh, what am I doing here?" Eva asks the group.
"Yikes! Eva!" Cameron was startled to see her here.
Eva then eyes Chris standing in the crowd. In her mind, this was the perfect time to take revenge.
"Hey, what's Chris doing here?" Eva asks, filling with bloodlust. "I'm really aching for some revenge right now." She smirks as she begins walking.
"Um, what's she doing?" Zoey asks.
Eva shoves the crowd away from the path between her and the host she hates with a burning passion. The others just stood there, unable to make a move because of the sheer intimidation emitted by the female bully.
"Ah! Eva! No! Stay back!" Chris was getting more and more panicked by this.
"Yikes, and I thought Stephanie was tempered." Don states.
"Guys, we gotta make a move, or else Chris will kick the bucket!" Geoff yelled out.
As the bodybuilder stands tall above our host, someone quickly takes action. As Eva was about to land the first blow, a hand quickly grabbed the fist.
"Huh?" Eva was surprised because someone began to stand up to her.
The entire room shifted their focus on the one who stopped the punch, Gwen.
"Eva, stand down. He is not the one who brought us here." Gwen tries to pacify the bully.
"Who are you to stop me? And I thought you of all people would want to take sweet revenge." Eva states.
"This isn't the place nor time to be doing this, we need to figure out what happened to us." Gwen says.
"You'll be doing that while pretty boy is getting beaten to a pulp." Eva states.
"No. I'm not gonna let you do this." Gwen states.
"You're treading on thin ice here. Let go." Eva gives her an ultimatum.
"Make me." Gwen is firmly standing her ground.
"What is Gwen doing?" Mike was concerned by what was happening.
"Gwen! You can't beat her!" Bridgette yelled.
"You're digging your own grave!" Eva was getting agitated by this.
"Does it look like I care?" Gwen asks.
Eva's eye then twitched. Everyone who has met her knows what this means, her limit has been reached.
"You asked for this." Eva says.
Eva then lands a quick blow to Gwen's stomach. This created a shockwave sound, shocking everyone as Gwen hunches due to the pain.
"Gwen!" Trent yelled.
"Oh no!" Courtney yelled.
"You were given multiple warnings. You did this to yourself." Eva states.
As Eva turned to her next target, a weak chuckle was heard. This surprised everyone as the chuckle was coming from Gwen herself.
"Hehehehe…" Gwen then looked up to the shocked Eva. "I can't believe I managed to block it."
Everyone shifted their focus to the striking point, where they see Gwen's hands holding back Eva's fist.
"What the?!" Noah was surprised by this.
"Impossible, she would have been seriously injured!" Owen was trying to make some sort of sense of the situation.
"Why you…" Eva then prepared for another attack.
Eva then goes for a strike to the face, but Gwen was quick enough to block the strike with her other hand.
"I think she was just going easy on her." Emma states.
"I'm not sure she's the type to go easy." Kitty states.
"But… how?" Eva was surprised by this increase in power.
"I have no idea either. But stand down, or I won't be holding back." Gwen threatened.
Eva then goes for a heavy strike, but Gwen ducks down quickly and jabs at Eva's stomach. Just before the punch lands, Gwen's fists glow blue.
"What the?!" Shawn exclaimed upon seeing this.
As the punch lands, the fists vibrate intensely, and a shockwave was heard as Eva was flung into a wall.
"Gaaaahk!" Eva grunted as she coughs up some blood.
The crowd went silent as Eva dropped down and hunched on the floor. Gwen looks in shock of what she's done. As everyone looks in her direction, Gwen's hands suddenly begin to glow blue and vibrate intensely.
"Ugh, what's happening to me?" Gwen asks in confusion.
"Yo, I think hands aren't supposed to do that." Geoff states.
"What is wrong with them?" Brody asks.
"Hey, if that ain't puberty, then I'm the queen." Gerry decides to crack a joke.
And of course, nobody but the two oldest began to laugh.
"This isn't funny guys, something's wrong with her." Trent states.
"Yeah, this isn't something I've seen in any medical textbook." Cameron states.
"Yaaaaaaargh!" Eva's roaring was heard.
Everyone turned to see Eva charging at Gwen in fury. As she was about to punch, the goth girl's senses slowed down.
'What the?' Gwen thought as she noticed her perception slow down.
In her eye's, Gwen sees that Eva's fist was slowly moving in the air. This felt like how a boxer's senses slow as they dodge incoming blows, it's as if time slows for a moment. In this short time, Gwen dodges the attack, and her senses return to normal.
Eva stumbles forward and turns to the similarly confused Gwen.
"Come on! Face me!" Eva yelled.
"Hey now, I don't want to cause any more conflicts. Just calm down." Gwen states.
"I'll calm down when that makeup of yours covers your insides." Eva threatens.
Eva then charges again at Gwen as the goth girl goes into fighting form.
We then cut to Duncan, Heather, Lorenzo and Chet walking up the mountain, eager to find answers to this.
"Any theories on what's happening?" Duncan asks. "This is getting ridiculous."
"I'm working on some actual plausible reasons, unlike these two." Heather states. "Most of my theories on this involve a prank one way or another."
"But hey, at least we have a couple leads." Lorenzo states.
"What leads? All we have met are dead ends." Heather states.
"Oh yeah, right." Chet says.
Suddenly a sonic boom echoed through the mountain range. This caught the four of them off guard as they turned to where the sound came from. The only thing they see is a strong gust of wind and dust thundering through the mountainscape. Once the group took the time to observe what had happened, their faces were washed in a mixture of confusion, awe and utter shock.
"Um…" Heather says with a gulp.
"Whoa!" Chet exclaimed.
"What the hell?!" Duncan yelled in shock.
The four see a massive flying vessel across the horizon. They couldn't see its proportions, but it's estimated to be 50 kilometers away. The vessel seems to be a spaceship looking thing.
"What the hell is that thing?!" Lorenzo asked in awe.
"Man, did we inhale something back there?" Chet asks.
"No, this doesn't seem like a trick or a hallucination." Duncan states.
"Yeah, there is no denying what we're seeing here." Heather states with concern. "Though I really hope this was a fever dream or some shit like that."
"Wait, we're still not sure what the hell is going on here." Duncan states. "What are we going to do to act on this?"
"I don't know where this path will lead us, but I do know this." Heather states with determination. "The answer is somewhere in the facility."
"Well then let's get on with it. I don't want this mystery to be left unanswered." Duncan states.
The four then continue to make their trek up the mountain, determined to find answers to this.
We cut back to the situation inside the chamber room. Right now, a surprised crowd watches as Gwen effortlessly dodges and blocks Eva in an attempt to calm her down. Amongst the crowd watching this ordeal, someone decides to stop this in order to address the elephant in the room.
"Eva! Back down! We shouldn't take any risks in this situation!" Gwen still tries to pacify her.
"Over my dead body!" Eva yelled.
"Everybody stoooop!" A voice yelled out from the crowd.
The fight paused for a moment as everyone glared at the person who yelled, Leshawna.
"Have you guys even started to think of the strangeness that has happened here?!" Leshawn was sick and tired of the fighting and wanted to stop it.
"Leshawna's right, too many weird things have been happening here." Bridgette states.
"Ezekiel and Dakota are back to human, the hosts and Chef are here too, and Gwen has some sort of newfound power!" Noah lists the bizarre events that have occured.
"And you haven't even stopped to consider if this is the right time to fight?!" Leshawna yelled.
"What are you even thinking, Eva?!" Gwen asks.
"But-" Eva was immediately cut off.
"No, I am tired of the bullshut your putting up. What we need to do is focus on what's going on!" Leshawna yelled in a very aggresive tone.
Eva thought for a bit, and decided to stop.
"Alright, you make a good point." Eva states.
"That's the exact same point I was trying to get through your head these past 5 minutes!" Gwen yelled.
"Ah, whatever." Eva shrugged it off.
"Ugh! I can't catch a break today!" Gwen yelled.
"Come on Gwen." Courtney jumps to comfort her friend. "Why don't we just take a walk. Try and relax, okay?"
"Ah, fine." Gwen immediately gives in. "This has been a very stressful day."
Courtney helps Gwen as they walk up the stairs and out of the room, while the rest just went on doing their own things. Lying down, investigating, talking, etc.
The two then began to walk through the hallway out of the computer room.
"So, have you been working on what's going on?" Gwen asks.
"Well, not exactly." Courtney states. "I was mostly just thinking about what I can do to the person behind this. I'm not sure a lawsuit will cut it."
"Maybe we should find Duncan and Heather. They might have found something by now." Gwen suspects.
"I guess it's better than doing nothing." Courtney states.
As the two reach the end of the hallway, they see the three elevators in the room. They knew that the others have passed through here due to the footprints on the dust that has scattered on the floor.
"It seems they passed through here." Gwen states. "Do you think we're above or below ground?" She asks a simple question.
"Probably underground. We haven't seen a single window opening out to the outside." Courtney states.
Before the two begin to walk to the elevators, one of them opens, revealing the four that have left to investigate. Heather and Duncan immediately rush out with determined expressions while Chet and Lorenzo walked out with excitement in their faces.
"Wait, Duncan? Heather?" Gwen was surprised as they run pass them.
"No time. Coming through!" Heather yelled.
"Out of the way!" Duncan yelled.
The two zoomed past the confused girls as the question what's happening.
"What's with the rush?" Courtney asks.
"We just saw a spaceship!" Chet yelled out.
The Stepbrothers followed suit of Heather and Duncan as Gwen and Courtney watch with confusion.
"Come again?!" Courtney asked.
"Hey! Wait!" Gwen yelled.
In confusion, the two girls follow the new arrivals as they run back into the computer room, where some people were sitting around in.
"Whoa! Heather? Duncan? What are you guys doing here?" Geoff asks.
"Same thing as you. But there's no time." Duncan states.
Duncan and Heather immediately go for the computers as they check for any clue on why they were here. A crowd begins to gather in confusion as Gwen and Courtney arrive.
"What the hell are you guys doing?" Gwen asks.
"Can you just be quiet and try to find something?! Files, hard drives, anything to help us know what's going on!" Heather yelled.
Gwen and Courtney didn't waste time and began helping. Searching the dirty tabletops and checking files became the top priority and some people began helping too. Eventually, someone managed to find something.
"Guys! Found something." Shawn then signalled everyone.
The crowd gathered around Shawn as Jasmine checks the files on one of the computers.
"The file says 'DNA Sequencing Logs.'" Shawn states.
"Wait, what?" Heather asks. "Why would that interest us?"
"Hey, at least it's something. And it probably has something to do with this facility we're in." Jasmine states.
"Guys? Aren't you even slightly concerned about the DNA sequencing part?" Harold points out a very important point.
"Whatever, let's just check it out." Duncan states.
Shawn clicks on the file, and clicks on the first.
DNA Sequencing Log #0001: Facility Preparation
The log opens up to the same facility, albeit in a brighter and cleaner state than it is now. It was pretty quiet, until a recognisable figure showed up. Scarlett.
"Okay, my first log in the new facility." Scarlett says as she walks around the computer room. "Is it recording? Wait…"
Scarlett walks up to the camera and inspects it.
"Hmm, yes it is." Scarlett confirms it. "So, I finally managed to get this place fully operational. That is already a big enough achievement for me. But I must not get ahead of myself. My research can finally begin." She says, smug about her statements.
"Now, I have done a lot of preparation for this. Along with finding the right tech, finding candidates for this, and picking the location." Scarlett states. "Now I just have some kidnapping to do today."
Scarlett turns off the camera, ending the log…
We see everyone gathered around the computer, trying to make sense of what they saw.
"Well, this took a turn." Duncan raised an eyebrow at this.
"Why was that sarcastic? This is Scarlett we saw." Jasmine states.
"So you mean she's the one who took us here?" Kitty asks.
"Why specifically us?" Zoey asks.
"Check some more logs." Gwen prompted.
"Wait, first, Jasmine, if there are still people in the chambers, wake them up." Shawn states.
"Okay then." Jasmine agrees.
"You might need this." Courtney states as she passes the remote to Jasmine.
As Jasmine makes her way to the chamber room, Shawn clicks on the next file in the folder.
DNA Sequencing Log #0005: Plans and Theories
The camera opens up to see Scarlett sitting on a chair holding the camera up.
"So, this took way too long to plan." Scarlett sighed. "But anyways, when I was 14, I discovered that any attempts at altering the genetic code of humans is impossible, since the cell's instincts will be self-destructing, and if that doesn't work, it would turn into cancerous tumours." Scarlett explains some of her theories. "In order to prevent these from happening, I looked into the adaptive and regenerative properties of certain species of lizards and insects, leading to the creation of this."
Scarlett pulls out a test tube filled with a clear substance.
"There are many things around this particular liquid, but in short, it makes human cells compatible for mutation by neutralizing the cell's instincts and stabilizing human DNA." Scarlett explains. "I call it Chemical Y."
Scarlett moves to the window overlooking the chamber.
"As for the test subjects, I had a couple choices." Scarlett states. "Of course, I can't just flat out kidnap someone and inject them, and it will still take time to fully integrate. So I decided to go for the long run so no one can trace it back to me. So, I sneaked into a reality show program and spiked the food with it. Since a company was filming Total Drama at the time, that would be a good place to start. So why did I even join in the 6th season? Well I realized that Pahkitew had enough tech to help me build this facility, and though my identity was revealed, the masses were convinced my ransom stunt was just an act. Dumbasses." Scarlett snarked.
"So, after years of preperation, I can finally begin collecting the subjects, one by fucking one, ah jeez." Scarlett groaned slightly.
Suddenly, the whole room shakes a bit, startling her a bit.
"Whoa! Well, having a facility in Yellowstone was a questionable choice, but at least it's remote." Scarlett quickly recovered from the shock.
Scarlett turns off the camera, ending the log…
We then cut back to the gathered group, now increased in numbers, and confused about this.
"Guys, do you know what this means?" Sky asks.
"Yeah. I didn't realise that about the human genome." Cameron states. "It also brings up a reason why Ezekiel and Dakota survived their mutations."
"No, what that means is that she might have already tinkered with our bodies." Harold brings up.
"Though it still doesn't answer why this place has been abandoned." Duncan states.
"Try another one." Emma prompts.
Shawn clicks on another file…
DNA Sequencing Logs #0013: The First Batches
The camera opens up to see Scarlett drinking some coffee…
"So, after a while of trial and error, I have made the first three successful mutations." Scarlett states while taking a sip. "After working out some theories and running so many simulations, three successful prototypes were made."
Scarlett then takes out three blueprints from her desk.
"So, the first mutation focuses on the distribution of physical trauma." Scarlett states as she shows a blueprint. "I have taken inspiration from shock absorbers and alternators and broken it down to a molecular level. For this to work, I have reshaped and activated certain parts of the muscle cells to accelerate its recovery process. There are some unexpected, but harmless side effects too. Because of a lot of the chemical reactions taking place, there will be a lot of vibrations and some blue glows."
Scarlett then showcases another blueprint.
"The second mutation focuses on the conduction of electricity." Scarlett explains. "There were only two things I needed to do for this, I created a natural conductor from the person's body cells and spread it around their body, and I added a new part in the body to act as the power center that can convert electricity into calories and vice versa."
Scarlett then shows her last blueprint.
"The last mutation focuses on sight." Scarlett explains. "Other than increasing the sight on the subject themselves, this focuses on the perception of others. Strictly speaking, the subject will have the ability to release specific brain waves to affect others' minds, making them fully undetectable in a person's eyes. This can be affected by the subject's fight or flight response in earlier stages."
Scarlett puts down the blueprints and takes another sip of coffee.
"That's it for now. Log off." Scarlett says.
Scarlett then turns off the camera…
Another cutback to the group back in the present. Now they were both confused and surprised as most of them looked at Gwen. It seems they have understood the gist.
"I-I'm… a mutant…?" Gwen asks with concern.
"Um… yeah, I guess." Courtney states.
"Wait, what?" Heather asks. "What do you mean you are a mutant?"
"While you were out, there was a fight going on…" Gwen explains as she glows her hand blue. "And my power manifested…"
"Whoa! Spaceships and mutations!" Chet yelled with enthusiasm.
"Hold on, did you say spaceship?" Kitty asks.
"Yeah, what is that about?" Courtney asks.
"Well… while we were out exploring, we saw a spaceship outside." Heather explains.
"To be honest, I think we were flung into the future." Duncan states.
"Hold on, you're joking, right?" Cameron asks.
"Why would we joke in this situation?" Duncan asks.
"Okay, it seems that most of you have missed another point in the log." Sky says. "There is a chance that… two more of us could be mutants too."
This one sentence caused uneasiness among the crowd. Most felt concerned that they might be mutants. But others…
"Eh, I don't care much if I get mutated." Gary blurts out. "If anything, it's just another change in our bodies, we've gone through growth, puberty, back pain, and a lot of medications."
"For us, it's just another obstacle to go through." Pete states.
"Hey, you can't even jump over your fence. I don't even know how you can overcome this one." Gerry joked around a bit, with him and his friend laughing.
"See if you can find something else." Heather prompted.
Shawn obliged and clicked the last file…
DNA Sequencing Log #0014: Unforeseen Events
The camera opens up and sees Scarlett in the facility, but something is off with the facility, as it is in the same state as in the present.
"Well, I fucked up." Scarlett sighs. "I'm surprised this could even happen. And I had a list of precautions and countermeasures for certain events, but this one is very unexpected and very fucking stupid."
Scarlett turns the camera to show the state of the facility.
"You might be wondering why the facility is in such a dilapidated state. And the answer to that is… this log is recorded almost 600 years since the last log." Scarlet continues to explain in a very concerned tone. "How does that happen? Well… after inspecting some of the empty chambers, an earthquake happened, and I was so caught off guard by it that I fell into the chamber, and it locked me in cryostasis for so long."
Scarlett sighed as she pets a rat that was there.
"If you're wondering how I escaped… Well, this little guy cut through some of the wire, setting me free." Scarlett says. "This is such an act of luck, that I accepted this guy as a friend."
"So why am I even making a log for this? I just needed to vent my frustrations about this." Scarlett states. "After doing some tests outside, I estimated the year to be around 2594. After surviving alone for a week, I did this log for a goodbye to my past. Seeing as the backup power supply is still functional, I'm gonna leave this as it is. And probably after I die, someone probably will find these logs and find these fuckers still alive. But there is an estimated 100 years between this log and that event happening. Well then, Scarlett's final log… goodbye."
The final log then shuts off…
We finally cut back to the facility, and boy the reactions are something.
"2594? That's a different date than what I saw." Heather states.
"Hold on, what do you mean 'different than what you saw'?" Gwen asks.
"While we were out exploring, we saw some sort of military outpost." Duncan explains. "After checking the devices there, we saw that the date was January 13, 2735."
"This is a joke, right?" Courtney asks.
"Even if it is, what are we supposed to do? Are we supposed to just sit around?" Mike asks.
"Let's wait for everyone to wake up, then we go outside" Heather states.
1 Hour Later…
We then cut to the military outpost down the mountain range. It turns out that every single one of the contestants (and Chef) were in the chambers. Everyone has been informed of the situation and are now just hanging around, waiting for something to do. We then see how the others cope with this change.
"Dad? Are we gonna be fine?" Junior asks with concern.
"I can't really answer that, but let's just hope for the best." Dwayne says.
"But what about Mom? I can't even imagine her worries." Junior states, worrying for his mom.
"Just hang on there, hang on." Dwayne says.
We then cut to the Gen 2 group gathered together.
"Well, I knew joining the show will have some consequences, but not this much." Dawn states.
"How did Scarlett even capture you?" Scott asks.
"It was like she knew my psychology, she just took me at the exact perfect time, I wasn't even prepared." Dawn says. "Well, I guess that was what a battle of wits means."
"Aw man, I'm starting to miss my mom." Brick states.
"Hey Dawn." Zoey signals her friend.
"You want me to join Ella to ease the tension here?" Dawn asks. "I agree, the auras here are very gloomy."
We then cut to another group consisting of half the Ridonculous Race contestants.
"Don't worry, I have a spell to protect us!" Leonard boasted.
"From the scorch of daylight, to the plague of rain!" Tammy also boasted.
"Okay, I know Scarlett is a genius and all, but she of all people should know not to include these two." Noah raised an eyebrow at this.
"Yeah, it just makes the situation more annoying." MacArthur states.
"Even I agree. Those guys made my blood boil during the afterparty." Josee adds.
"But why all of us? Geniuses! Maybe you can relate to Scarlett's mindset!" Stephanie says.
"Well, we can't really say for sure, but the best theory we came up with was just to have a lot more variety in the mutations." Ellody states.
"Speaking of which, we each have a 1 in 43 chance to be one of the three mutants." Mary adds.
"I like those odds. So we can just rest easy that the mutants aren't us." Emma states.
"But still, it would be cool if we become mutants." Rock says.
"I like the way you think." Lorenzo states.
"Everyone gather around me!" Heather yelled out to the masses.
Everyone gazed at Heather as she walked out of the central building. She has a flare gun in her hand.
"Um… why do you have a flare gun?" Gwen asks.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm signalling for help." Heather snarked.
"Well then, blast away." Duncan states.
Heather points the flare gun upwards… and fires…
Okay then, this was a big hassle for me. Anyways, thanks for waiting for this chapter. I know I took too long, but I said I needed a break. I have a life outside of writing, you know? Well then anyways, another chapter has been released, and with some answers come with new questions, and a story about landing in another world is no exception. Time for another long and arduous wait for the next chapter…
Standing here... I realise... you are just like me... trying to make history...
