Yamo drew her blade unsure of what to do. "This Kekkei Genkai..." She said as Haku approached a mirror and was absorbed into it. "What?" Yamo said as she looked all the images of her foe. "Is it genjutsu?"

Then the assault started. Senbon needles began to hail upon her. cutting exposed skin and piercing skin. Yamo dashed to the side but more senbon lanced her in her leg.

"AAHHH!" She cried out as she grasped the needles. Her glare was full of rage as she ripped them out.

"I see, your pressure points aren't the same as a normal person." Haku said from their mirrors.

Yamo stood up blood dripping down her face, her hands rabidly making hand signs. "Fire release: Ma...!" Her attack was interrupted when she was forced to dodge another barrage. "Damn it..."

"Just give up, I don't want you to suffer." Haku said as Yamo changed her stance. pulling a shuriken from her pouch.

Naruto woke up back in the Tazuna household. "They left me behind!?" He yelled as he pulled on his orange jump suit before running out.

Chapter 9: Battle on the Bridge

As Naruto ran through the island village he noticed something in the woods. "What the? The house!" He turned and ran back as fast as he could, leaving the dead boar behind following the cut trees.

Yamo spun her blade as she threw her shuriken to block the incoming senbon but she couldn't stop the all. five more needles lanced her back making her lose her balance as she screamed in pain.

In the mist Sakura called out to her. "Yamo!" She cried out.

"Get Naruto!" Yamo yelled back. "Get Tazuna out of here!"

"But..." Sakura yelled back.

"DO IT!" Yamo screamed into the mist as she reached into her pouch and pulled a hand full of explosion tagged kunai out. Throwing them at the mirrors the explosions rocked the bridge breaking off a section, rubble falling into the water.

"Yamo!" Sakura took a step towards the explosions, but instead grabbed onto Tazuna and ran back to the town.

Inside the ice mirror arena, Yamo was hurt and coughing from the smoke. "Nice try. You've just made it harder for you too see." Haku said as he readied his next attack.

Yamo waited with her sword, then she saw it, the smoke was shifting as something moved through it. That instant she spun her blade around and the metallic ting of her blade blocking the senbon. "I see, you move from mirror to mirror faster then most can see."

"She's catching up... wait those eyes." Haku said in shock.

"That explosion. Your student is desperate Kakashi." Zabuza said mocking the copy ninja.

"Far from that, she has only started to scratch the surface of her powers, after all. She has yet to use either of her kekkai genkai." Kakashi said.

"What are you talking about?" Zabuza demanded.

"Simple. Her clan's ability and her own unique power. After all her name is Yamamoto Uchiha, daughter of Jikama and Kamadara Uchiha." Kakashi taunted him.

"The illusion devil!" Zabuza if only for a second froze.

Yamo's eyes glared into the mirror as the smoke cleared. Her red sharingan had two toome each. "I'll cut you down." She said as the assault with senbon continued, her blade singing in her grasp as she spun it in between her hands blocking the majority of the needles, but still some struck her. One pierced her hand making her rip it out with her teeth as she was held down. Slowly the blood splatters around her grew larger and more numerous.

"She is a monster, she has senbon in her major joints and muscles yet she still stands." Haku said as he stopped for just a moment, breathing heavier then at the start of the fight.

"You've shown me yours, now I'll show you mine." Yamo smirked as she ripped multiple senbon from her sides with her free hand. "Energy release:..."

"A Kekkie genkai!" Haku slipped out of his mirror about to speed to the next one.

"I can see you." Yamo smirked as she threw the senbon, Blue and white energy encased the needles as they ripped through Haku's clothes and cutting across the boy's midsection. "Star Light Needles!"

Haku crashed infront of the mirror but Yamo also fell to her knees, both breathing heavily. "Damn it... using both at once..." Yamo said said with one eye open blinking blood out of her other eye from a cut on her forehead. "Still I got you now." Yamo said as she got to her feet and raised her blade while deactivating her sharingan. "Energy release: Stellar Slash!" She made the hand signs with the blade holding her sword, coating the blade in blue white energy before swinging it down, sending a thin slash of energy at Haku.

There was blast of smoke and as it cleared one of the mirrors was shattered and a deep cut in the bridge and a large puddle of blood with a hand. "Where did..."

"I got you..." Haku said from the mirror behind Yamo. With his one remaining hand he threw dozens of ice senbon at Yamo.

"Shadow clone Jutsu!" Naruto yelled blocking the attack with the clone as the real one grabbed Yamo pulling her to the ground before the clone exploded and the senbon perforated where Yamo was standing. The destroyed ice mirror started to reform. "YAMO!"

"No need to yell, you dunce!" Yamo yelled back hitting him on the head, "Now we're both stuck in here!" She tried to get to her feet but her knees were weak and she fell to a kneel as she held her self up with her blade. "Damn it... Where is Sakura and the old man?"

"I saved your life!" He yelled. "She, Inari and Tazuna are trying to rally the villagers."

"I know!" Yamo yelled back as she glared up at the blonde boy. "Let's just finish this."

"Right! Shadow clone Jutsu!" He made the handsign for the jutsu and rushed Haku with a dozen Shadow clones.

"It's pointless." Haku said as ice covered the wounded stump of what was left of his arm.

Yamo activated her sharingan again, and could barely see the path that Haku used to destroy them. She pulled out her last kunai with a paper tag and threw it at one of the clones. It exploded just after the clone exploded in smoke. And Yamo could see the path Haku was taking through smoke as she willed herself to her feet as the last Shadow clones were destroyed. Naruto fell to the ground with a cut on his arm.

"Again... He's slowing down." Yamo snarled as she sheathed her blade before making a series of hand signs. "I only have one shot in me, we have to make it count."

"Right! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto responded. Again he and his clones rushed Haku, he had more cuts on his legs.

"He's wasting his chakra." Haku said, "The same technique won't win you this fight."

"Say's the one that has only been jumping from mirror to mirror this whole fight." Yamo growled under her breath. Her Sharingan gleamed as Naruto charged Haku one last time. "Fire release: Fire Ball Justu!" Yamo pulled her head back as her lungs expanded with air before she fired the fire ball at Haku midflight between mirrors.

It hit dead on burning his clothes and slamming him into his own mirror as he fell to the ground.

"Yamo! We did..." Naruto started to cheer, but as he turned to his team mate, she was on the ground in a puddle of her own blood. Needles sticking out of her at every angle and cuts all over her body. "Yamo..." His voice quiet as something hammered in his chest.

"You couldn't defend her." Haku said as he stood, "You couldn't defend what was precious to you."

Naruto was silent as he looked at her. "No... no... no, no no, no, No, No, NO!" He screamed out. Red Chakra spilling out of his body swirled in a tornado of ethereal flames. His scream then became a roar of a beast as his anger turned on the culprit. Haku. "I'LL KILL YOU!" He howled as the image of a great fox appeared around him.

That feels like a good place to end off for today.
