Sarah was going to be going to the beach soon. She was invited to go with McKenna's family. McKenna didn't want to be going alone with her family, so she invited Sarah to go with her. She was excited for the trip.
She loved the beach. She hasn't been to the beach in a while. Her mother and father would take her every summer for a week. Now it was hard as Toby was to young. The last time they tried to take him, all he did was cry and eat sand. So, Karen wanted to wait till he was a bit older to start doing that as a family.
Sarah was angry at first, but now she understood the reasoning.
So, going back this time, with friends, she was so excited. She hoped to have the best time. Her friend said that her sister can take them to a karaoke bar, but they needed to wear a wristband to show they were minors and not to be given alcohol.
Sarah was packing when Karen walked in. "Sarah? You sure you want to go? You seemed homesick when you came back from the amusement park two weeks ago." She said. Sarah looked at the woman.
"Yeah. I've missed going to the beach. And it won't be for as long as last time." Sarah told her shrugging. Going into her closet to grab her bikini to pack into her bag. She walked back out to look at her stepmom.
"Well. I just wanted to make sure you will be ok." Karen told her as she helped fold the clothes the teen was going to pack.

McKenna picked Sarah up, she was going to spend the night at her place, and then they were all leaving the next day. So, the two girls wanted to get some things and snacks for the place they would be staying at.
"So, my uncle's friend is coming along. His name is Jeremy. I've never met him, but they have been friends for like two years, I think. We will meet him tomorrow." McKenna told Sarah. Sarah nodded as they walked around the store.
The two woke up in the living room, having been watching tv there till they fell asleep last night. They heard people walking in, and voices, the two decided that it was time to get up and get ready to go.
Sarah sat up and rubbed her sleepy eyes. "Thank you for having me." Sarah froze hearing a familiar voice. No...
Her eyes widened hearing the voice. She turned her head and there HE stood.
The Goblin King, disguised as a mortal like he did when he was at the Renaissance Fair. He turned and saw her. A dark grin came to his handsome face. Her jaw clenched and she pulled her blanket over her, then she went to McKenna's room.
She couldn't believe this. How!? How was he able to be here, playing human if no one wished him here? She wished she knew, and how to send him back for good. But she didn't. And now... Now he is ruining her happiness.
She glared at the mirror.
No.
She wasn't going to let him. She was going to not let this bastard King ruin her life. She won't let him. She will find out how to keep him away, and back where he belonged forever. Where he couldn't bother her, or her loved ones ever again.
She gave herself a nod, and then started getting dressed for the long drive ahead of her.
