Disclaimer/Author's Note : I don't own anything or anyone that you may recognize, I just own my character Alicia Bennett and whomever else may come to exist. I've scrapped and rewritten this story 6 different times, and this isn't the version I wanted to go with but it was harder for me to work in Alicia as Bonnie's older sister so I decided if everyone can give Elena a twin sister why the hell can't I give Bonnie one ? Also one last thing, I'm black, Bonnie & Alicia are black they are going to use some AAVE here and there. *Shrug*

Anyways Alicia's face claim is obviously Logan Browning.

on with the story.

La Pilot -

"I can't wait to get my own car." I growled banging on the bathroom door. "I'll leave without you, Bonnie."

Today was the first day of Junior year, Junior year meant turning 17. Turning 17 meant being one step closer to adulthood. So naturally the faster I get through the first day of school the faster I can get through this whole year. Wishful thinking I know.

"Yeah yeah." She finally opened the door rolling her eyes at me. " I don't know why you rushing me, you're just gonna ditch class as soon as we get there."

"You think you know me." I hissed following her down the stairs." I have to do my slow motion it girl walk around the building it's not my fault it takes time."

"You know if you spent more time with Elena and less with Care you wouldn't be like this." Bonnie snorted grabbing the car keys from a bowl in the living room. Bonnie & I were twins, we weren't identical unfortunately but you can't look at us and not know we were related. As expected with twins we'd had the same friend circle although she and Elena were best-friends while Caroline was mine.

"I tolerate Lena for you." I reminded." I'm only an asshole to you, she is an asshole to everybody." Bonnie shot me the coldest glare she could muster up as the two of us climbed into our car.

"She just lost both her parents, cut her some slack." Bonnie rolled her eyes putting the car into drive. I clicked on my seat belt with a deep sigh. Back in May, Elena and her parents were in a fatal car accident, her parents drowned when their car drove off of Wickery bridge and plunged into the water below it. Elena somehow managed to get out of the car and was found passed out on some rocks.

I turned on the radio to cover the awkward silence in the car before I knew it, we'd pulled up into Elena's driveway and the brunette was bolting out her house and down the steps. Bonnie shot me a look that said get your ass in the backseat, I groaned popping off my seat belt and jumping straight over the center console making sure to kick Bonnie with my heel on the way over.

Elena didn't miss a beat as she hopped into my seat and grinned at Bonnie then me.

"Hey Bon! Licia."

"Seat stealer." I mumbled, Bonnie reached over the seat and punched me in the shoulder. She backed out of Elena's driveway while the girl giggled as I sulked rubbing my arm. " I hate it here."

I texted back and forth with Caroline ignoring the two for a bit until Bonnie abruptly slammed on the breaks making me lunge forward and smack my chest against both seats.

"Bonnie!" I hissed rubbing my chest while Elena fished my phone from the floor by her feet.

"What was that? Are you guys okay?" Bonnie asked as all three of our hearts raced. She paid extra attention to Elena which made sense in this situation she's probably freaked out by cars.

"I'm fine. It's okay." She said. "I think you knocked Alicia back to the beginning of puberty though."

"I'm gonna beat her up." I shrugged, slipping my phone into my bag and crossing my arms.

"It was a bird or something. I wasn't intentionally trying to hurt you Alicia." She slowly started driving again and I could hear the annoyance in her voice. "I wouldn't joke like that with Elena in the car."

"Really I can't be freaked out by cars for the rest of my life." Elena shrugged.

"I predict this year is going to be kick ass. And I predict all the sad and dark times are going to be over and you are going to be beyond happy." Bonnie grinned over at Elena, She turned around and stuck her tongue out at me." And Alicia will finally kick rocks"

"I'll kick a rock down your throat alright." I smirked. I loved Bonnie & I's relationship. Gramms always said we acted like two little boys with our constant fighting and bickering rather than two teenage girls. Bonnie was definitely the more responsible of the two of us but, I was the fun sister like the little (by 3 minutes) sister should be.

I met up with Caroline at her locker, the two of us hung out for a bit before she decided we should go check on Elena. She didn't really care that I'd came to school with her she wanted to see for herself despite me insisting Elena seemed fine.

"Elena. Oh my god. How are you ? It's so good to see you. How is she? Is she good?" She started off talking to Elena but then directed the questions to Bonnie who shared a look with Elena that Caroline didn't even notice.

"Caroline, I'm right here and I'm fine." Elena said I noticed the stiffness in her body language and how forced she sounded, almost as if she's been rehearsing for this all summer long.

"Really?" The blonde questioned, eyeing up the brunette carefully like she was checking her for a physical injury.

"Yes. Much better." She insisted. Care pulled her into a bear hug that Elena awkwardly returned. I sighed Bonnie always complained about how I handled Elena but she handled Caroline the exact same way.

Care was honestly the sweetest girl, a bit blunt but her heart was always in the right place. I couldn't say the same for Elena however. The four of us had a weird dynamic but I guess if it isn't broke don't fix it?

"Care I totally forgot I need to find Tiki, come with me?" I grabbed the blonde's arm without waiting for an answer and the two of us walked off. There was a few minutes before class and I didn't want to waste them awkwardly chatting with Elena and Bonnie when they clearly didn't want to talk.

"What did you need Tiki for?" She asked as the two of us strolled down the hall very slowly I might add. Care's blonde hair bounced with each step she took while my long waist length braids swung side to side, small moments like this is what I lived for looking beautiful with all eyes on us.

"I just wanted to pull you away from Elena."

"Were you also getting the vibe she didn't want to talk to me?" Care asked as we stopped outside of my Math class.

"Yeah, I don't think it's you though. She's just tired of all the babying and sympathetic stares she gets. She literally had everybody staring at her the two seconds we were standing there." I shrugged.

"Did she tell you that?"

I gave her a look."Of course not, I heard her telling Bonnie."

"Right."

The first day of school always dragged by most of it consisted of talking about our summers, getting our syllabuses and just doing next to nothing. I had to ride with Caroline to the grill, I may have punched Bonnie in the head during French class and she may have been pissed about it.

The three of us arrived at the exact same time, Bonnie hadn't said two words since school ended and Caroline was very eager to fill her in on the new hottie in town.

"So his name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his Uncle at the old Salvatore boarding house. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid, military family so he moved around a lot. He's a Gemini and his favorite color is blue." She said in what felt like one long breath. I have no idea how she finds out people's life stories so quickly but I needed to learn and learn it fast.

"You got all that in one day?" Bonnie and I said at the same time however our tones differed greatly while I sounded amazed Bonnie was more amused.

"Oh please. I got all that between third and fourth period." She grinned as we sat down at a table." We're planning a June wedding."

"Oh June's a good month, not too hot, perfect weather bugs are kind of annoying though." I added." I totally ship you guys already."

"You two are such dorks." Bonnie laughed.

"Are we dorks or is it you who's the dork?" Caroline raised her eyebrow and giggled.

"You know who I'd like to have a June wedding with." I smirked glancing over at Tyler and Matt's table.

"I ship it." Caroline followed my eyes and smiled, unfortunately both our faces in that direction caught Matt's attention and of course it was basically an open invitation to come over and talk to us.

"Bonnie hey." Matt said awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. "How's Elena?"

"I mean both her parents did die four months ago." I said tapping my fingernails on the table ignoring the looks I was getting from every direction.

"She's putting on a good face but she's struggling." Bonnie replied.

"Has she said anything about me?" He asked. It would've been cute if the girl wasn't grieving both her parents. I'm pretty sure the last thing on her mind was a boy but I'd be extremely in the wrong to make two rude remarks back to back intentionally.

"Oh no, you keep us." She motioned to herself, Caroline & I." Out of it. You pick up the phone and call her."

"I feel weird calling her, she broke up with me." He replied I put my head down on the table so nobody could see how I annoyed I was getting.

"I need fries." I stood up and plopped myself down at the table Matt formerly sat at." Tyler give me your fries." I batted my eyelashes at him and grinned when he slid the container over to me.

"Was it as bad as it looked?" Tyler asked looking behind me. I shoved a fry in my mouth and glanced over my shoulder hm, Elena and the new guy must've came in when I walked off which had to suck for Matt.

"Did they come in together?" I asked Tyler nodded." That's rough he was over there asking Bon about her just now too."

"I've been trying to help him move on but the guys lovesick."

"We should fix him up with Care, they'd be cute together." I leaned my chin on the back of my hand watching the awkwardness at the table.

"With Care the neurotic, control freak?" He choked on his coke when I kicked him under the table.

"Insulting my best friend makes you a lot less hot, you know?" I grabbed another fry and playfully glared at him.

"The very pretty, funny, neurotic control freak." He corrected himself and smiled. I giggled but stopped when I felt eyes staring a hole into the back of my head. I turned around and caught sight of Vicky hovering close by.

"I think your girlfriend is upset." I commented fishing for a reaction. Tyler scrunched up his face confused before he caught sight of Vicky two tables over aggressively writing down an order. Did I think Tyler was hot? Of course. But my infatuation with Tyler was more-so a running gag and I thought everyone knew it, I guess Vicki didn't get the memo.

"So you think I'm hot?" Tyler deflected I noticed Vicky's shoulders slouch and I wanted to feel bad I really did but if he wouldn't even claim her right now he clearly was just wasting her time.

"As if this is new information." I smirked, grabbing another fry before making my way back over to my friends.

"We haven't met." I held my hand out to Stefan as I slid onto Bonnie's lap. "I'm Alicia, the fun, hot sister."

"I'm Stefan." He shook my hand and when his fingers brushed against mine, I got this weird feeling. It felt dark and cold. It felt scary, and I didn't like it. I blinked slowly pulling my hand back. I tried to cover my reaction by taking a big sip from Bonnie's drink.

"So Stefan have they told you about the party tomorrow?" I asked innocently, hoping nobody noticed my reaction to Stefan.

"It's a back to school thing at the falls." Caroline added snatching what actually turned out to be her drink out my hand.

"Are you going?" He asked Elena, not Caroline. Hopefully she noticed this also and took that is the big hint to not pursue anymore.

"Of course she is." Bonnie smirked I pinched her under the table and she pushed me off her lap." That's for punching me in the head in front of everybody."

I popped back to my feet and dusted off the back of my jeans.

"I'm ready to go, I've done everything I've set out to do here today."

"If the child's ready then I've gotta go too." Bonnie rolled her eyes sliding out the booth. She pulled out her wallet and put some money down on the table.

"It was nice meeting you Stefan." I smiled before hugging Caroline and Elena. I grabbed the keys from Bonnie's back pocket and headed out to the car she was always the last one to leave and would have me looking stupid standing around waiting for her.

I actually enjoyed school for the most part, I wasn't a perfect student but I did have mostly honor roll. Okay I was pretty close to honor roll. The only thing I dreaded about going to school was Tanners class. I wasn't the only one either, it's like all joy and laughter gets sucked out of everyone the moment you step foot in that room.

I was sitting next to Bonnie texting Tyler while Tanner babbled on about the Battle of Willow Creek.

"Ms. Bennett, how many casualties were a result of this war?" My heart dropped not only was I not paying attention, but I definitely did not have the answer. I nearly did a back-flip when I realized he was talking to Bonnie and not me.

"A lot. I'm not sure like a whole lot." Bonnie answered I snorted, however I froze up when I realized it was definitely loud enough for Tanner to hear.

"Cute becomes dumb in an instant Ms Bennett. Ms Bennett number two, I'm sure you can help your sister out and tell the class?" He zeroed in on me making me squirm a bit in my seat.

"Well going off of what Bonnie said, I'm gonna say a whole bunch." I shrugged lamely I didn't know and I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of correcting me.

"I should've expected that, twins usually share the same brain." Tanner scoffed. I wasn't sure if I should be offended or not."Mr Donovan, would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype."

"It's okay Tanner, I'm cool with it." Matt replied making the class giggle. My jaw nearly dropped since Tanner seemed to just accept it and moved on. No rude remark, no weird facial expression. Just acceptance.

"Hmm, Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significant historical events." He fixated in on the brunette who just like the rest of us didn't know. It's almost funny Tanner expecting us to have the answer to something we clearly were not taught, nor did I really see the benefit of knowing how many people died decades ago. And History always had a habit of being rewritten anyway.

"I'm sorry. I don't know."

"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with Summer break." He said the entire class got quiet, either Tanner didn't realize how much of a dick he was or he just thought that was okay to say to a grieving child.

"I'm sorry did her parents just undie?" I asked, disgusted." That's not something that goes away, and you have zero right to even mention it. You're a grown ass man."

"And that's detention for you." He didn't even bat an eye in my direction.

"There were 346 casualties unless your counting local civilians." Stefan answered Tanner grinned turning his attention to him. My phone buzzed in my lap with a text from Bonnie and Elena.

Dad's gonna be pissed - Bonnie

Thank you - Elena

I turned to Bonnie and shrugged before smiling at Elena. I mentally checked out the rest of class I wasn't going to detention and I was just done with Tanner. Sure I wasn't Elena's biggest fan but what he said was uncalled for and it didn't sit right with me.

I left school after that I'd taken the car and headed to Gramm's house. Bonnie would get a ride from Caroline so I didn't have to worry about going back to get her.

I let myself in with my key and sighed. Gramms sat on her couch reading a book. I smiled abit when I noticed it was one of those "hood erotica books".

"Alicia what are you doing here at 1 in the afternoon?" She took a sip from her tea, her face softened when she saw how angry I looked. I took a seat beside her and frowned.

"Tanner."

"Still terrorizing you kids?" She asked understanding. It was a small town so of course there wasn't many teachers so she was quite familiar with me bumping heads with the man who shouldn't have gone into education.

"He made a comment to Elena, and it rubbed me the wrong way. I've got detention after school that I'm not going to." I shrugged." He told her, he was lenient with her last year but personal excuses stopped with the summer."

"He said what?" She sat her cup down outraged."Are her parents supposed to just undie?"

"That's what I said!" I poured myself a cup of tea."But that's not completely the reason I came over here."

"What else is on your mind child?"

"At the grill the other day I touched the new guys hand and I got this feeling." I explained she raised her eye brow leaning back in her seat.

"Did it feel like death? Like a slight chill?" She asked folding her hands.

"Exactly. What kinda witchy quirk is that?" I took a sip of my tea and watched Gramms curiously. She's been telling Bonnie & I we were witches for quite some time now, Bonnie just wrote it off as Gramms just drunken I knew it was so much more than that. I'd come into my powers last year, I'd even showed Bonnie. But she simply wrote it off as me being me and didn't think twice about it

"We have what you could call a built in Supernatural detector, you would get a warm feeling when you touch another witch but with a vampire it feels cold and dead." She explained seriously."When you get a bit better you'll be able to know without having to touch someone. And I recommend you girls stay away from him, Vampires are nothing but trouble."

"You don't have to tell me twice." I shrugged." However convincing Bonnie might be harder."

"Make her touch him and she'll know." Gramms shrugged. "I know how stubborn she is so she'll need to see for herself, the same way she doesn't think she's a witch."

"I literally set her pants on fire one day and that still wasn't enough for her." I confessed, Gramms stared wide eyed at me." I put it out immediately she wasn't hurt. She called it special effects."

"Oh Bonnie."

I did a bit of practicing with Gramms before heading home to get dressed for the party. I got dressed in a dark blue long sleeved sweater dress and paired it with black flat thigh boots. I tied my hair up into two buns just as Bonnie came bolting in the house.

"I know, I know I'm starting now." Bonnie yelled slamming her bedroom door closed.

Bonnie didn't even get changed for the party she was locked in her room doing homework for hours. Sometimes I hated her. Bonnie wanted to arrive fashionably late so she most likely really was just trying to waste time without me noticing.

I still had the keys so I decided to drive down to the falls. It was pretty peaceful, Bonnie filled me in on the rest of her school day, especially how much she enjoyed not having to sit with me in last period. And then the two of us sang along to the radio the last bit of the drive, Caroline and Elena were gonna just meet us there so we didn't have to make any stops.

I parked the car and the two of us followed the sounds of music and drunk kids.

"So Bonnie." I started, the two of us walked over to the table with drinks sitting on it." You've gotta feel Stefan's hands."

"What?" She asked baffled." Why would I want to do that? Do you like him too or something?"

"Not my type." I shrugged." I prefer my men more lively." I chuckled at my corny joke that Bonnie would likely scuff at once she figured out what Stefan was.

"Ah and Tyler is just so lively." She mocked.

"Anyways." I grinned sweetly." Stefan's got the smoothest hands I've ever felt. It was like putting your hands into a bag of lotion."

"What the?"

"Oh look there's Elena." I pointed." Let's go give her a beer." I grabbed a beer from the table and the two of us made our way over.

"Hey." She smiles I hand her the beer which she happily takes but doesn't open. Nerd.

"Sorry we're late, Bonnie was doing homework." I snorted.

"That French homework was killer." Elena grimaced I whipped my head back and forth between the two of them.

"Whoops."

"You know you're gonna be in even more trouble tomorrow right?" Bonnie asked.

"Oh look there's Stefan." I pointed and as I hoped the two of them looked where I pointed, giving me the opening to escape the conversation. I grabbed a beer from a random girls hand ignoring her loud shrill cry of protest and walked right up to Tyler, inadvertently cutting off Vicki in the process.

"I come with presents." I smiled handing him off the beer I caught sight of Vicki storming off out the corner of my eye.

"Awesome this is just what I wanted." He emptied the entire can in 2 seconds before tossing it to the side.

"Are you dating Vicki?" I asked crossing my arms."Cause this is twice me talking to you has pissed her off."

"I wouldn't say dating." He shrugged. I respected his honesty, most dudes would just try and make her look crazy instead of just being honest.

"Ah, I get it." I nodded."She puts out."

"Yes."

"You've gotta be drunk, these are two things your gender would've lied about." I joked, he playfully rolled his eyes at me.

I hung out with Tyler for awhile, sure he was a meathead jock, but he was very cool to talk to that's as long as he didn't have an attitude. I ended up walking away from him when I felt like something was wrong with Bonnie. Call it my twinpathy I guess.

"Are you okay?" I asked as she took a big sip from a beer. Yup red flag number one.

"I just had a moment earlier. I touched Elena and I saw a crow, and fog and a man." She said frantically." I'm really starting to believe Gramms."

"Bonnie." I focused my attention on the fire burning not too far from us, I made the flames grow higher as soon as it garnered some attention I let them go back to normal." It's true."

"Am I drunk? I must be drunk?" Bonnie muttered more to herself than to me." But this is the second time I've seen you play with fire."

"Girl you a witch." I scoffed." I have no idea why you're holding onto this need to be normal, Gramms says we are special, powerful. Being a witch means we are not to be fucked with."

"It's just crazy." She said." Witches aren't real."

"If something else you predict comes true maybe you need to start accepting it and talk to Gramms." I put my hand on Bonnie's shoulder. Our sisterly moment was interrupted however as Jeremy came running out from the trees carrying somebody's limp body.

"Oh my god, is that Vicki?" Bonnie covered her mouth shocked.

I call 911 as I caught sight of the bright red sticky substance glistening on her neck. Instinctively my eyes searched for Stefan who was nowhere to be found. The party cleared out quickly after that, mostly since nobody wanted to get in trouble for underaged drinking.

"I'm gonna let Elena know we're leaving, find Care." Bonnie walked off to Elena who was watching the ambulance leave. It took me a bit of time but I managed to find Caroline surprisingly leaning on the side of our car looking quite drunk. I shot Bonnie a quick text letting her know we'd be in the car waiting on her, as always. I unlock the doors and the both of us climb into the back seat, Care lays down and puts her head in my lap letting me run my fingers through her long blonde hair.

"You can't do cheer practice with a hang over, Care Bear." I comment she just shrugged." And I'm most likely benched, who's gonna lead? Elena ? She missed summer camp."

"Oh god, she did miss camp." Caroline groaned."Bonnie can do it."

"Bonnie has two left feet, it's a shame too cause she's gorgeous."

"Uh that's you." Caroline snorts before bursting into a fit of giggles.

"Bite me Forbes."

"You're a good friend, Licia." She sounded sad, I wanted to press her more but Bonnie climbed into the drivers seat before I got the chance to. I pulled the keys out my bra and tossed them into Bonnie's lap.

We droveto the grill in silence most likely for different reasons. I think Bonnie's plan was to pump Caroline with coffee and send her home. It would probably fix the smallest problem we had right now. Since it's pretty late we got a table along with a pot of coffee and some fries in almost lightening speed.

"Are you guys sober yet?" Bonnie asked, sipping her own cup of coffee. I'd actually only been handing out drinks and didn't have one myself.

"No." Caroline groaned putting her face in her hands.

"Keep drinking. I've gotta get you home and I've gotta get us home." Bonnie replied watching Caroline closely.

"Why didn't he go for me? You know, how come the guys I actually want never go for me?" She asked sadly.

"I'm not touching that." Bonnie leaned back in her seat throwing her hands up. I kicked her under the table and rubbed Caroline's back.

"Because there's something wrong with them. Nobody is good enough for you anyway." I glared at Bonnie the entire time I spoke. If this was Elena, Bonnie would've coddled her to hell.

"I'm inappropriate. I always say the wrong thing. And Elena always says the right thing." Caroline lifted her head a bit just enough to look at Bonnie but her face was still close to the table. "She doesn't even try! And he just picks her. And she's always the one that everyone picks, for everything. And I try so hard, and I'm never the one."

"It's not a competition, Caroline." Bonnie said pushing the cup of coffee closer to Caroline.

"But it is." I chimed in." It's a small town and that's the first new piece of meat to come to this town in how long? If he was my type I would've been fighting to get a bite out of his butt too."

"I would bite his butt." Caroline made this awkward bitting motion before taking another sip of her coffee.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom, Licia pay the server so we can get out of here." Bonnie said getting up and leaving.

"Give me your phone." Care nodded reaching into her pocket and sliding me her cell phone." I'm gonna text your mom and tell her you're staying the night at our house. It's not like my Dad will even notice."

"Alicia hottie over there."

I sent the text and looked up into some of the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. He smirked at the two of us making Caroline burst out in a fit of giggles. I palmed my forehead and sighed. I'll just write off her lack of suaveness as her being drunk.

"Up you go." I stood up grabbing the blondes hand, I pulled a few dollars out from my bra and tossed them down onto the table. Bonnie rejoined us and the three of us headed home.

It wasn't lost on me, Vicki got her throat torn out and now there's suddenly two new guys in town. Maybe it's my witchy intuition but things are going to get so much worse around here.
