Izuku POV: I was writing down notes for the exams that were coming up when the teacher changed topics.

"Okay, now we will talk about your future plans, but you all are probably wanting to become heroes." he said.

The whole class started cheering, and showing off their quirks, but I didn't show mine. Everyone thought my quirk was really weak and that I was practically quirkless. And for a time I thought I was, but after some time with my foster mom it turned out that I had a stronger version of my mom's quirk. But I didn't care about what they say. This quirk is what I have left of her, as well as Kacchan.

"Please, you're all too weak to be heroes. Unlike me." One of the boys said, drawing my attention.

His name is Katsuki Bakugo, but to me. He is Kacchan, my childhood best friend and who also lives with me.

"Ah yes, you have applied for UA." the teacher said, sort of ignoring what he said. With other students muttering in awe.

"Of course."

"He is the strongest of the class."

"He'll probably get in."

"There's no way he won't."

"Yeah, he's too great to be denied."

The teacher looked over his notes and said, "And I see that Midoriya has also applied there."

The whole class stared at me in silence, then burst out laughing. No one said anything, but I could tell what they were thinking.

He's such a weak kid, there's no way he's getting in.

"Shut up. You extras are giving me a headache." Kacchan growled, glaring at them.

They stopped almost immediately. They didn't want to get on Kacchan's bad side.

Class continued as normal, with no one really talking about before. Guess they didn't want to make Kacchan mad like before. Once the day was done and I was packing my things I noticed that some of the other students were whispering and pointing at me, as if I couldn't see them. But I just ignored them and left. I hurried to the place.

There was a villain attack and I went to watch.

A gigantic villain was fighting Kamui Woods, a recent hero. The fight was epic and near the end he was about to unleash his signature move: Lacquered Chain Prison. But at the last moment another new hero, Mt. Lady came in and used her move, Canyon Cannon, and finished the job much faster.

In awe, I started taking notes about Mt. Lady's quirk. It increases her strength and size, making her an impressive opponent, but her weakness was very opvesses as she will have much more trouble in smaller quarters. Given how she can only go to one size.

Then a man said, "Are you aiming to be a hero?"

Oh crap, I must have said that out loud again, "Ah, yeah."

He smiled and said, "Well, good luck with that."

"Thank you." I responded and smiled back.

He turned back to Mt. Lady waving and saying that she'll take care of the villain.

I also turned back, but I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Kacchan.

"Hey Deku, you do know we're going to be late?" he said, very irritated.

"Ah, sorry Kacchan. It's just… Kamui Woods was here. And he was fighting a criminal so…" I said, trailing off.

"Well, I don't want to get in trouble because you, come on!" he yelled, leaving me with no choice but to follow.

Our foster mother's house is in the hills outside of town, so it takes forever to get there and back. Sometimes it can still be a bit dark out when we leave for school. While Kacchan does autobility complain about it, I personally don't mind all that much.

As we walked I read over my notebook, and Kacchan watched me slightly with slight annoyance.

"You still keep those? I thought you got rid of them after Saika found them?" he asked, bluntly.

"I thought she would too, but she said as long as no one gets hurt or offended it's fine." I muttered, remembering that day. It was not fun at all.

"Of course she would say that." he moaned. I laughed awkwardly.

We hiked up the hill that led to the house. It was basically a small mansion-like house that rested on the top of one of the smaller hills. But it had a bit more of a cabin look to it. However, it was really nice and cozy inside. The lights were off, so that must mean that Saika isn't home yet.

We quietly entered and closed the door when the lights turned on. Saika was standing next to the switch with her arms crossed.

Saika was our foster mother and one of our birth parents' old friend. She has longish white hair and sharp black eyes. And usually was dressed in black leggings and a black leather jacket.

"Let me guess, Izuku made you late because he was watching pro heroes fight."

"You make that sound like I do that often?" They both gave me looks from the statement.

"I don't mind you going to watch them. Just make sure that you at least try to make it here somewhat on time." She said, and sighed when Kacchan gave her an angry look.

"I didn't do anything!" he yelled, but Saika didn't flinch.

"Exactly." Was all that she said.

He just stood there frozen. This happens all the time with these two.

"Anyway, given how late you two are, you wouldn't have a lot of time for training." Saika had set a training area for us so we could practice to get into UA.

She even helped us study for the entrance exam. But she can be pretty tough and doesn't really hold back when we train against her. She is extremely strong and knows our weaknesses extremely well.

"Okay, but what about dinner?" I asked, getting hungry.

"It's almost done, but you're training until then." and she then entered the kitchen.

"Oh come on!" Kacchan exclaimed.

"Just do what you're told. At least get half an hour in." She responded, once again unfazed by Kacchan.

He growled and looked like he was going to explode, but he just went to his room. She sighed after he, basically, slammed the door.

"His temper is as spiky as his hair." she mumbled.

I tried my very best to not laugh from that.
