Crash Into Me-Chapter 14
I didn't know they were home!" Zion yelled spitting blood out of his mouth. He could barely see out of his eyes were almost swollen shut.
"It doesn't matter if you thought they weren't home. You were trying to bring harm to my daughter and her aunt!" Lin yelled at Zion.
Jax looked down at a bloodied Zion curled up on the ground after an epic beat down from him and Lin. They held nothing back as they had beat Zion to the last inch of his life. Zion could not believe his drunken rage and jealously had brought these men down on him. He had no idea Brea was so connected.
"Please don't kill me…I'm sorry….I'm sorry. I'm begging you." Zion began to cry as he watched Jax light up a cigarette. Lin spoke an order in Chinese to one of his guys and he disappeared and reappeared with a can of liquid. Jax could smell it was gasoline. Lin took the can and poured the gasoline all over a sobbing Zion.
"My woman and her niece could have been burned to death because of you and now you are going to feel what you wanted so badly for them to feel." Jax faced displayed such hatred for Zion.
Lin looked at Jax, "You want to do the honors?"
"With pleasure." Jax responded as he flicked his lit cigarette on Zion. Jax was glad they were far out in a secluded wooded area because Zion's screams were loud and excruciating as he burned to death in front of them. Several of Lin's crew stood around the body with fire extinguishers to ensure that the fire did not spread in the forest to cause a forest fire. Jax lit another cigarette as he watched Zion burn and the image of Brea's and Mya's face flashed through his mind. After a few more seconds, Zion's screams stopped and one of Lin's men hosed him down with a fire extinguisher. Zion's body was a crispy carcass.
Lin ordered his guys to bury the body.
"Mya alright?" Lin asked as they walked away from the body as the smell of burned fleshed was making them nauseous.
"She's doing good Lin. Brea wanted me to ask about her sister. Is she alright? Have you seen her lately? She wants some kind of news."
"Dana is actually doing pretty good. She has been sober for seven months now. I have her set up in a nice place. I've been meaning to talk to you about her and Mya. Dana wants to see her and I want to officially meet my daughter. Can you talk to Brea and tell her we want to see our daughter."
Jax shook his head, as he did not know how Brea would feel about the situation. It could be too much for her and Mya at once.
"I will ask Lin. I can't promise anything. Brea had been through so much lately." Jax threw his cigarette on the ground and stubbed it out.
"Make it happen Jax. She is my kid and I want to see her."
Jax looked at Lin and took him in for a minute. He did Jax a big favor by locating the prick who tried to hurt Mya and Brea and he could see in his eyes he loved his little girl. Jax could not phantom as to why he kept his distance from Mya but he was sure Henry had his reasons.
"Al'ight I will see what I can do. You guys got this?" he asked gesturing toward the guys digging a hole for Zion's body.
"We got this….I will call you tomorrow morning to work out the details for me, Mya and her mom to meet." Jax nodded his head yes and wondered how he was going to sell this to Brea.
When Jax quietly walked into the dark house, he knew he needed to take a shower before Brea sees him. He knew he smelled of burned flesh, he had blood all over his shirt, and his hands were swollen and bruised. He was about to head to the bathroom when he saw the moonlight shine through the kitchen window and Brea was sitting at the kitchen table, her hair pulled back in a pony tail and a kimono robe on. She took a swallow out of a wine glass and started to bite her nails.
"Stop biting your nails baby." He said softly. Brea almost jumped ten feet out the seat.
"Oh my God!" Brea sighed with relief, jumped up, and hugged Jax. She pulled back when she smelled the stench on his clothes. As a nurse she had smelled the smell before in the burn unit at St. Thomas. Brea cut on the kitchen light and gasped when she saw a disheveled Jax.
"Don't ask baby…don't ask," He whispered to her as he leaned over and kissed her cheek. "I'm going to take a shower."
Brea at a loss for words nodded her head. She watched Jax take off his clothes as he walked down the hall. He just left the clothes wherever he was standing at the moment when he took off each item. Brea followed behind him and picked up each item of clothing. He turned around naked and looked at her with such care for her before he shut the bathroom door. Brea knew whatever happen tonight was because of his feelings for her and Mya. What man would risk himself to protect her and Mya? Brea threw the clothes in the washer, poured detergent and started the machine. She hoped it wouldn't wake the kids. She went into the kitchen cabinet to grab the first aid kit as she saw how bruised and bloody his hands were.
Jax got out the shower, wrapped a towel around his waist and walked into his room to find Brea sitting on the edge of the bed looking down at the floor and he could see tears drop stream down her face. He quickly walked to her and knelt down in front of her. He lifted her chin to have her beautiful eyes look in his.
"Brea why are you crying?"
"Is he dead?" She managed to get out between sobs. Jax could not get over how tender hearted and caring she was. Here this man tried to kill her and she grieved for him. Instead of answering her he leaned over and softly kissed her quivering lips.
"I understand you knew him all your life but he betrayed you and Mya. You need to let him go. I told you he does not deserve your compassion much less your tears."
Brea sniffed, blew her nose in a tissue she had and told him to sit beside her so could bandage up his hands. He watched her intensely as she took care of his hands. Every so often Brea would look up and quickly looked back down. He was just too much to take in at times. He was just to stunning and when he was watching her with his piercing blue eyes he made Brea so nervous and very aware of every move she was making.
"I need to talk to you." He told her after she bandaged his hands. Brea didn't look up as she gathered the supplies off the bed. She started to get up from the bed to put the first aid kit up.
"Wait," Jax grabbed her hand. "I need to ask you something first" Brea focused on the lampshade by the bed,
"Look at me Brea." He said barley above a whisper. Brea looked at Jax and her breath caught in her throat. Will she ever get use to his beautiful blonde, hair, his gorgeous blue eyes, blonde eyelashes, his lips, the mole above his lip and his perfect body?
He pulled her to sit back down next to him.
"I talked to Henry and Dana is doing real good. She has been sober for a few months now."
A beautiful smile spread across Brea's face. Now it was Jax turn to be in awe of her beauty. She had gorgeous bee stung lips, high cheek bones, flawless brown complexion and beautiful brown doe eyes that every time he looked into them she had him in the palm of his hand. There was nothing he would not do for her and that was evident by his actions tonight. Jax found his fingers tracing her lips. He wanted to feel her lips on every inch of his body.
Snapping out of his trance he told her Lin and Dana wanted to meet Mya. Brea's smile turned into a small frown.
"Really?"
Yeah….I know it's not my place but I think it would be good for Mya to meet her father and see her mom especially since she is now sober. I can tell Lin really loves Mya."
Brea waived her hand at his last comment.
"He has never met her." She snapped.
"I know but he has been looking out for her from afar and has been providing for her."
Brea shrugged her shoulders. She was so happy her sister was sober and doing better and Mya was old enough and smart enough to handle meeting her parents. Mya knew that was not her mom and often asked about Dana. She always kept a picture of Dana by Mya's bed. She did not tell Mya about her father as she blames Lin for Dana's drug addiction.
"I guess it will be ok. She told him. Jax smiled and told Brea he thinks it would be good for Mya.
"Nope…not going to happen." Happy told Jax with the most ill look on his face.
"Happy you don't have a say…Lin is her father. I want you there because I can't be there and I know how fond you are of Mya and you would protect her if anything happens."
"I don't like it boss. Why would Mya would be in danger from Lin?"
"Lin is not going to harm Mya it's just I don't trust his restaurant and anything can go down….Lin has a lot of enemies."
"Then have them meet here!" Happy said exasperated. He had really had become protective of the little girl and did not want her near any danger.
"Lin wants to meet there and I can't keep him from his child."
"What does Brea have to say?"
"She doesn't know just how dangerous Lin is and she does not need to know that. His business has nothing to do with her."
"It will if someone comes in to retaliate."
"And you won't let anything happen to Mya or Brea."
Happy looked at his boss.
"I know it's not my business but is something going on with you and Brea?"
Jax was shocked by Happy's question. Happy usually kept to himself and did not give a shit about other people's business but he figured little Mya was changing that about him. Jax studied Happy's expression trying to figure how he should answer. He trusted Happy with Mya and Brea's life so he knew he could handle what he was about to tell him.
"Yes. Brea and I have been seeing each other and I would do anything for her and that includes protecting her from anyone in the club who has a problem with her."
Happy nodded his head.
"I get it boss. You won't have no problem from me. She seems like a good woman and you need that in your life."
Jax patted Happy's shoulder and thanked him for understanding. As if on cue Brea walked out the bedroom with Mya. Mya of course ran up to Happy. She looked so adorable dressed up to meet her mom and dad. She had on a cute Strawberry Shortcake dress and her hair was in pigtails with little strawberry shaped hair bows.
Happy laughed as he commented she even smelled like strawberries.
"That is courtesy of the Strawberry Shortcake shampoo, body wash and lotion your president brought her." Brea looked over at Jax who flushed a little from embarrassment. It was not his usual style to shop for little girl items but he just had to pick up the Strawberry Shortcake bath set he saw when he went to pick up Abel some pull-ups. Jax leaned over and softly kissed Brea and she quickly pulled back and looked over at Happy with a small frown on her beautiful face.
"It's ok baby….he knows." Jax told her kissing her more passionately. After a few moments, Happy cleared his throat to bring them down to earth.
"We better get going." He told Jax.
"Alright call me when you get there, when you leave and when you guys are home."
"Jax we will be fine." She told him rubbing his cheek. He kissed the palm of her and told her he knew she would be. When he hugged her, he looked over at Happy with a keep them safe look.
Brea could not believe how beautiful her sister looked. As she gazed at Dana and Lin it was no doubt that Mya was a spitting image of them both. Dana was flawless, she had gained her weight back she had loss due to the heroin, her skin had cleared out and she had a cute Halle Berry haircut. Dana looked so happy as she held Mya with tears in her eyes. Mya being the sweet child she was took to mother and father. Dana told Brea over and over she was so thankful for Brea watching over her. She promised she was not going to take Mya away from her but she wanted to be in her life. Brea eyed Lin and she could tell he and Dana still had a relationship. How did Lin keep Dana hidden from his wife and other children?
"That's fine Dana. I'm sure Mya would love that…won't you Mya?" Mya nodded her head yes. Brea heard a disapproving sound come out of Happy's throat. Lin looked up at Happy.
"Where's Jax?" Lin asked the menacing man standing with his arms crossed standing behind Brea.
"He had other business." Happy grunted.
Brea filled Dana on how their mom, aunt and brothers were doing.
"I miss everyone so much. Do you think if I have a dinner they would come?" Dana asked with hope in her eyes.
"I don't see why not Dana."
Dana nodded her head and said she would work out the details and call Brea with the details.
"We need to catch up as I heard you have a new man." Dana made Brea flush when she thought of Jax.
"Yes we have a lot to catch up on."
As they got up to leave Dana hugged Brea and whispered in her ear asking if she was still a virgin. Brea gasped at her sister…she has not changed. Dana could see the heat rise up to Brea's cheeks despite her dark complexion.
"Oh damn sis…I bet he was good too. I saw a picture of him…well his mug shot Lin showed me."
Brea playful hit her sister on the shoulder and hugged her again. She really did miss her and their girl talks. She had so much to ask and talk to her about Jax.
Happy was about to call Jax when they pulled up to his house but saw his bike in the driveway. Brea saw Gemma and her mom's car also. Awww shit!
Brea heard yelling when they walked to the door. Happy pushed passed Brea, took out his keys to Jax house, and opened the door. Upon entering, she saw her mom, her aunt Pamela, Gemma and Jax in the living room.
"You are not welcome in my house Pamela. You don't come up in my house telling me what the fuck to do." He yelled at Brea's aunt. Jax thought back at what Gemma said about Brea's aunt and she was right this woman was a straight bitch.
"What is going on?" Brea demanded.
"Your aunt has demanded you and Mya leave here and stay with your mom." Gemma told Brea.
Brea looked at her mom and she looked as if she was near tears.
"Mom?" Brea walked to her and noticed she was shaking…something was wrong very wrong. Happy did not want Mya to see what was happening and took her to Abel's room.
"Where is that man taking Mya?! How can you let Mya be around these thugs?!" Pamela yelled.
Brea saw Jax grit his teeth and ball his fists. He was about to go off on his aunt.
"If you don't get the fuck out my son's house. Brea is a grown ass woman and she can stay where she wants."
Pamela looked at Gemma with fire in her eyes.
"Bitch you don't scare me. I know all about you Gemma and what you did to Sherry."
Brea looked at her aunt confused as she pulled on Jax's arm as he was about to get in Pamela's face for calling his mom a bitch.
"Pamela don't…" Sherry's voice trailed off as she knew it was no use arguing with her headstrong sister.
"Your mom got knocked up by one of you white trash bikers and Gemma took the baby away. You have a brother out there Breanna. This isn't the family's first rodeo with the Sons of Anarchy!" Pamela spitted out with hate lace in her voice.
"You stupid bitch!" Gemma yelled and ran straight to Pamela and punched her in the stomach. Both women fell back on the wooden coffee table and shattered it as they laid multiple punches on one another. Happy hearing the commotion rushed out of Abel's room and helped Jax break up the two women. They both stared at one another breathing heavy from their fight.
Jax looked over at Sherry…was it true…which one of his members was it.
"Mom is it true?" Brea asked.
"Yes it's true!" Pamela shouted.
"You shut the fuck up!" Jax yelled pointing at Pamela. She jumped at the sound of his voice. Brea smirked a little.
Sherry needed to sit down. She moved passed the shattered coffee table and sat down. Everyone stood waiting for her response.
"His name is Lenny Janowitz." She said barley above a whisper. Even saying the name all these years later brought pain to her.
"Lenny the Pimp?" Happy asked shocked. Sherry nodded.
"Yes we have a son together. Lenny broke my heart and I don't want the same for you Breanna."
"I'm not Lenny Ms. Sherry. I will not break your daughter's heart." Jax sat next to Sherry.
"Yes you will son…it's only a matter of time."
