SORRY

"charlotte." she heard a gentle voice say she finally stopped screaming and looked up.

"daddy ? it was her father that grabbed her she was so relieved she cried in his chest.

"CHARLOTTE." lilith came running to them in distress. she calmed down when she saw her husband holding there daughter but still worried as their little girl was sobbing so much.

"luci ? what happened ?"

"she saw them." he simply said as he rubbed circles on her back to calm her down.

lilith knew what he meant by them. their daughter had looked behind the curtain. how could they have been so stupid to believe their daughter would not let her curiosity get the better of her. "oh charlotte dear.* lilith went on her knees besides her husband and rubbed a hand on her head. charlotte began to hiccup. her father took his handkerchief and dried her tears and made her blow her nose."

charlotte began with her apologies. "daddy mommy im so so sorry i just wanted to look a little bit." she was scared her parents would yell at her. although they did not ever yell to her before sure they gave her warnings and were sometimes strict with her but never did they raise their voice at her or hit her. lucifer sighed. "calm now charlotte you had quit a fright i know and its not even your fault. even though we told you many times before you shouldnt look outside. it was kinda our fault that you did. we should have just told you why you couldn't look out there." charlotte looked up at her father. "what…what was that daddy ? that …monster ? it was so scary." lucifer took charlotte in his arms and stood up he had enough of kneeling on the floor and he gave a hand to his wife to help her up as well.

"it is time to tell you about the world you live in my sweet apple pie."

both her parents did their best to explain their daughter what hell really was and what they were. they left certain things out. that she was too young for to understand. still it was very hard for charlotte to understand it. "but why cant they all go to heaven. what if they say sorry for the bad things they did and then be good and go to heaven."

lucifer snorted of course a little child thought that with the word sorry all would be forgiven.

"heaven does not work like that sweety." he tried to have patient with his little girl.

after all she was just a innocent child. "but daddy if those things are from heaven why are they so mean. isn't heaven …good ?" again lucifer snorted. lilith intervened then

"hunny nothing is ever truly good or truly evil." charlotte thought for a moment.

"am i truly good mommy ?" lilith smiled. "yes hunny for children are an exception. their innocence make them pure and good." she gave charlotte a hug.

"time for bed little one." her father said. he took her over from his wife and walked with her to her bedroom. "daddy ?" "yes sweetheart." "will you sing me to sleep." lucifer smiled.

most children asked for bed time stories only his daughter would ask for a lullaby. he did not mind it he loved to sing more so for his precious daughter. so he tucked her in her princess bed. and sang her to sleep. he couldn't help but stare at his daughter sleeping face.

"i wish you could forget about heaven. its not as pretty as it sounds my dear charlie."

he looked up as if he could see heaven trough the ceiling. "and he is certainly not all good.

and neither am i truly evil." he sighed heavy. "all i did was fall in love with ..lilith."

he thought back at the moment he first saw her. it was the first time he ever felt his heart make a thump in his chest. he never before paid much attention to his heart or his feelings. he wasnt suppose to he was a angel. a arch angel the very first angel. he shook his head he didn't like to think of that. of his past life. he looked at charlotte again. maybe just maybe she got some of his angel genes or something. she sure looked angelic.
