THE NIGHTMARE

he won't make the mistakes his father did with him. "i won't be like him. i will always love her and ill never let her fall." he gave her a good night kiss on her forehead and walked out.

"is she asleep ?" lilith asked when she saw her husband. "yes i had to sing her to sleep."

both got into bed close to each other. lilith fell asleep fast. lucifer did not. and that was good too as he suddenly heard little cries from his daughter. lucifer got out of his bed and went to her bedroom. opening the door he found her huddled under her covers shivering.

"charlotte my dear." he went to her as she put the covers away hearing her fathers voice.

"daddy" she cried. lucifer came to her and picked her up in his arms.

"let me guess nightmares ?." charlotte clung to him crying.

"the monsters daddy they wanna get me and mommy and you."

"sssh little one." he hold her close. "believe me dear nothing can harm you or us."

charlotte still cried. lucifer knew she was not gonna sleep alone in her room tonight.

he didn't say anything and just took his daughter to their bedroom. he put her down then next to her mother. charlotte looked at him with teary eyes. "yes honey you can sleep with us tonight." he crawled in next to her and put the covers over her little body. she moved closer to him. "luci why is charlotte in our bed." lilith said sleepy. "she had a nightmare sweetheart."

"mommy." charlotte then turned to her mom kissing her cheek.

"alright then sweety sleep now your father and i will keep you safe here."

still charlotte was plagued with nightmares whining every now and then. her parents kept her close between them.

"luci its been more then 2 weeks now she cant keep sleeping with us."

"i know i know." lucifer moved his hand trough his hair when he had a idea.

"oh lilith i have a idea. i gotta go first but ill be back soon." he took his jacket and top hat.

"oh hell no your not leaving me alone while our daughter is not well."

"lilith its to help her. you know i would do anything for her. i wont take long i promise."

with that lucifer was gone. lilith huffed. a little hand tugged at her dress. looking down she saw her daughter. "im sorry mommy." lilith sighed how can she be angry at her little girl.

she knelt down. "no hunny mommy is sorry. we should have done better for you." she then hugged her daughter. being a mother was really not easy. she then had a idea that could distract charlotte a little. "say charlotte did mommy ever tell you how she met your father."

the girls eyes lit up. "no mommy but daddy said he fell for you like really fall all the way down boem." she put her arms out like when her father had when he said that to her.

"but i didn't hurt daddy." lilith giggled she could so picture it when lucifer told her about that.

"well then you don't know your mommy was suppose to be with someone else." she sat on a comfy armchair and took her daughter to sit on her lap.

"someone else ? so not with daddy ?"

"i met another man before daddy dear."
