Chapter 24: The White Fang

In the dead of Night, several miles from the Kingdom of Lothadare, a Lothadarian Cargo transport cruised through the valley. Within the forest of trees who's leaves as red as blood, the cruiser passed above a small clearing. It was there Adam Taurus peered up at the transport above. He was both tall and lean built, with auburn hair that spiked backward in a windswept fashion. Two bull horns protruding from his head. He was also wearing black with a red shirt underneath, with a red rose emblem over his back. A white mask with several marking covering over his eyes and a long sheaved sword at his side.

He then grinned in such a sly fashion.

"Right on time," he said, before glancing back.

"Inform the others we're moving on the Transport."

"Are we really going through with this, Adam?"

Adam turned back to the tree line behind him. It was there he saw his long-time partner, Bake Belladonna standing next a tree. She was sixteen years of age, with amber eyes, long black wavy hair. Two cat ears protruding from each side of her head. She was wearing a white tail coat with dark violet inner linings, a black crop top underneath, black pants with a white belt along with thigh high boots. Across her torso was a diagonal strap holding her weapon over her back.

"Of course we are," He claimed, turning to face her.

"The Kingdom of Lothadare must pay for their crimes against the Faunes. And the weapons aboard that transport will go far in furthering our cause."

Blake narrowed his head, unsure to say the least of what they were about to do. Adam walked over to Blake, placing his hand atop her shoulder.

"Don't forget what they've done to our people, Blake," He advised her.

"What their doing now. Don't you want Justice for all the Crimes they committed against the Faunes? "

Blake glanced to the side. She knew well of the crimes the Kingdom of Lothadare had committed against their people. Especially now with the war against Salem. As well as all the other Realm's of Opara. For many years, the Faunas had been seen as second class citizens by the Kingdoms. Treated as nothing more then animals and as a slave labour for them to use to build their Kingdoms.

Even to this very day, many of the Kingdoms continued to have such a bias outlook against the Faunus. The Kingdom of Lothadare was no exception of this. While Royal family had become more welcoming to the Faunus over the years, the discrimination that had been longed been known for still remained. Even now, with Lothadare's desperate need for more Knights to fight against Salem's Empire, the Faunas who attended their Academy were thrown into the war with little training at that.

But this was not the Justice she wanted for her people. Not the way they were going.

Blake shook her head, turning away from him.

"Not like this." she proclaimed to him.

Adam frowned. He came up next to her, glancing down to her partner.

"This is the only way our people will have justice," He proclaimed to her.

"Humanity needs to pay for everything they've done."

Adam then turned forward and made his way into the woods.

Two Lothadarian troopers were patrolling along the walkway along the ships starboard.

"Hey, you hear about the new training regulations," One of the Troopers said.

"Seems like the General is really getting desperate for more troops after what happened in Helix."

His fellow trooper nodded his head in agreement.

"No kidding," He said.

"They said the Grimm whipped out half a battalion."

The trooper sighed, shaking his head.

"Seems like this war is getting more and more hopeless by the day." he said.

"I hear ya." The other trooper said.

The troopers suddenly heard a loud clanking sound from behind, as if someone hand landed behind them. They turned, only to then be slashed across the chest by a red bladed sword, causing him to tumble over the side of the ship, falling to the valley below. The other trooper attempted to report the intruder, only for Adam to dash up to him and cut slash him from both sides, causing him to fall back against the wall and slid down over the walkway

Adam stood up, sheaving his sword to his side. Blake dropped down from above and landed behind him.

"What are you doing?" Blake asked, glancing back at him, curiously.

She came up to the railing, where she peered down over the ship's Starboard side. Seeing the trooper who he had knocked over the edge of the walkway. She glanced back at Adam, who stood up, glancing to her with a sly smirk.

"What, don't tell me you going soft." he said, coldly.

Blake turned back to him, staring in awe and disbelief. Adam then turned and walked down toward the Doorway.

"Come on," he said.

"We need to take the bridge."

Blake hesitated for a moment. She stared at Adam in awe and contempt, seeing just how far he partner had fallen.

The door slid open as Adam and Balke walked into the ship. It was there that they were seen by two other, Lothadarian troopers who were patrolling the corridors.

"Hey, hold it right there!" One of the troopers said, raising their blaster to them.

One of the trooper pressed the COMM link over his Helmet.

"We have intruders in Level seven," The Trooper said.

"Send back up!"

It was right at that moment that the ship's alarm echoed through the corridors. Adam smiled, reaching down to his sword at his side. He then dashed toward the two trooper and with a loud slinging sound, swung his sword at them. He slid to a stop behind the two troopers, glancing back at them. The two troopers gasped at the sudden searing pain they felt. Dropping their blasters, the troopers then collapsed over the floor.

It was right at that moment that several blue plasma came from down the corridor. Adam glanced up and saw several Lothadarian troopers charging toward them, firing their blasters at them.

"Find cover!" Adam exclaimed, glancing back at Blake.

Blake quickly drew her Katana from her back, which then transformed into it's pistol form. She quickly took cover behind a corner, firing back at the Lothadarian troopers. She came up to some nearby crates and took cover from the blaster firing.

Adam leaped forward. He came up to one of the troopers, holding out his sword as he blocked the incoming firing. He then leaped up into the air, before throwing his sword down as it impaled the the trooper. He landed over the trooper grabbing the handle of his sword before lea leaped back. Preforming a flip as he landed before the trooper, who fell over the floor. Sheaving his sword, he dashed toward the other troopers. He swiping his leg, he tripped the trooper. Before he could even land over the floor below, Adam reached down to his sword and swung it up at him, causing him to fly up into the air. Adam leaped into the air as he came up over the trooper. He then kicked him down, sending him plummeting to the floor below.

Adam landed over the ground as he changed forward, twirling his sword as he blocked the incoming plasma bolts. He dashed up to another trooper, slashing his blaster which the severed in two. He then turn around, thrusting his sword back as he impaled the trooper. He pulled his sword from his body before charging forward to the rest.

The alarms continued to ring out through the bridge of the Cargo ship. The Captain approached one of the crewmembers looking over the monitors.

"What's happening?" The Captain said.

"Captain, we have situation," The Crewmember said, glancing back at him.

"We have intruders down in level four."

"How many are there?" The captain asked.

The crew member turned back to the monitor, switching the video feed. Upon switching to the camera feed which showed the stowaways, moving along through the corridors, cutting down the troopers along the way. The Crew member glanced up to the Captain.

"Two, sir." He said.

Adam drew his sword, absorbed several plasma bolts. He then sheaved his sword, only to then drew his sword from his side, swiping it upwards to create a red energy wave that knocked back three troopers. The two that were still remaining stood out from behind cover as they continued to fire.

"Adam!" Blake exclaimed as she rushed up from behind.

Blake raised her pistol and fired several round at the troopers. Though her shots were not aimed for any fatal out come. Rather one of the troopers was struck in the shoulder, causing him to fall back over the ground. The other trooper came charging toward her. Blake's weapon changed form into it's Katana form as she reached back and drew the sheath from her back. She leaped from side to side as she pounced at the trooper, before slashing her sheath at his blaster, knocking it out of his hands. she then swung her Katana around and slashed at the trooper. The trooper sun around before falling over the floor.

Blake then paused. She gazed down over the trooper laying over the floor, stepping back with a look of shock and awe. She then shook her head, seeing what she had done. She had just rushed in without thinking and had killed someone who was only following orders. Who have never wronged her in anyway.

Unannounced to her, the trooper who she had shot leaned off the ground. He then raised his blaster, aiming for Blake who was stunned with shock. An action which did not go unnoticed by Adam, who leaped forward. Reaching to his side, he then drew his sword and sliced the blaster in two. The trooper held up his hand to her.

"Please..." he pleaded with Adam.

Adam only smirked, shaking his head. The pleads of the Lothadarian soldiers may have been heard, but would not be granted. Rather he was met with pity as Adam reached for his sword. He then slashed his sword across the troopers neck, severing his head as his body dropped to the ground. He then turned back to Blake, who gazed up at with a look of shock and awe.

"Hmph." he uttered as he turned and continued down the corridor.

"What's the status with the intruders?" The captain asked, glancing back to the crew.

"Have they breached the Cargo hold?"

The crew member glanced down at the monitors. It was there he saw the two intruders board onto a lift before the door slid closed. He then shook his head.

"There not at the Cargo hold, sir," He said, glancing back to him.

"The intruder's boarded one of the lifts!"

"Monitor all the lifts," He ordered.

"I want all troopers at every one of those doors."

"Yes, Captain." The crew Member said, with a nod of his head.

An announcement came over the ship's intercom.

"All personal, move toward the doors of the lifts. This is not a drill!"

The troopers stormed down the corridors as they made their way toward the lifts. They came up before doorway at each direction, pointing their blasters to the doorway as the stood ready to fire.

"Captain!" One of the other crew members called to him.

The Captain cocked his head, glancing toward the crewmember.

"What is it?" He asked.

"We got an unauthorized boarding in Hanger 2!" The crewmember said.

The Captain squinted his eyes, curiously. He then came over to the station of the crewmember, where her peered down over the monitor. Over the screen, he saw the video feed of Hanger 2, where a small civilian cargo transport emerging through the entrance of the hanger.

"That ships not military regulation," The Captain ordered.

"Send a team down to the hanger. I want to know who's aboard that ship."

The Cargo ship slowly set down within the hanger of the ship, where a team of troopers approached the transport. They came up to the ship's gangway, which stood closed under the cockpit. They then raised their blasters to the ship's entrance. It was then that a Lothadarian Officer approached from behind the troopers. He then came up to the ship's entrance.

"Cargo ship crew, come out with your hands up!" The commanding officer announced to the ship.

The moment that followed there was loud sound as the ship's ramp lowered. It was there as they a got their first look at the inside of the ship, where the saw a pink and white umbrella twirling before them. The troopers narrowed their blasters in utter confusion of the sight. When suddenly the Umbrella lifted up to reveal a young woman no more then twenty one years of age sitting over a crate. She had hair that was half brown and Pink, along with her eyes, she was wearing a white cropped wide tail coat, a brown corset which exposed hips and brown pants with black belt.

She flung the Umbrella over her shoulders before she stood up from the crate, walking over to the top of the ramp.

"Hold it right there!" the Officer said, drawing his pistol from his side.

The girl paused at the top of the ramp, where she then grinned. She suddenly leaped up, performing a flip mid air as she her umbrella then folded up. She landed behind the officer, who glanced back to her as she the thrush her umbrella at forward, knocking the officer back over the ramp of the ship. The other troopers raised their blasters and fired at her.

The girl opened her umbrella, blocking the plasma bolts. She then rushed at the trooper, swiping and swinging around her umbrella, knocking the trooper back. She then pulled back her umbrella as a small blade emerged from the tip. She then thrusted it forward, impaling the trooper through the chest. The trooper gasped in agony, dropping to his knees.

The officer stood up from off the ramp. He then raised the pistol at the girl, who struck down another trooper with her umbrella. As he was about to pull, he was then structed across the head from behind. Behind the officer stood Roman Torchwick. A man with orange hair with bangs crossed over his right eye, holding a cane in his . He wore a white and red lined suit, black pant sand shoes. He had a grey scarf around his neck, black gloves with buckled sleeves and a bowler hat with a small feather tucked into the red elastic band.

He then lowered his cane, smirking.

"Nice work, Neo," Roman said, flinging her staff over his shoulder.

"Now, lets see what General Granger has for us today."

It was then several members of the White Fang emerged from the ship as they came down the gang way.

The Captain glared down at the monitor, seeing the White Fang emerge into the hanger.

"Damn it!" He cursed.

He then glanced back at other personal present on the bridge.

"Put me through to General Granger!" He proclaimed.

In the corridor to the bridge, the troopers surrounded the entrance of the lifts at all sides. They continued to hold their blasters to the doorway, awaiting the moment for when they would open and reveal the stowaways that had forced their way onto the ship. Glancing up at the level indicator above, they saw the light above flicker. Slowly but surely, the light flicked upon the level they were on. The troopers glanced back doorway, raising their blasters as they prepared to fire.

But as the doors opened, they saw that the inside was completely empty. The troopers lowered their blasters, gazing curiously to the inside of the lift. They glanced to one another. While many of them were confused, many of them had the underlining feeling that this could very well be a trap. They then turned forward as they slowly approached the lift, holding their blasters at the ready.

When suddenly, Adam dropped down into the lift, landing before them. The Troopers raised their blasters to him.

"Stop right there!" A trooper exclaimed.

Before they could even react, Adam reached down to his side and drew his sword. He then swiped it at the troopers who were swept back by the red energy wave. The troopers in the corridor behind the raised their blasters as they opened fire. Adam twirled his sword, blocking the plasma bolts. He the dash forward toward one of the troopers, slashing upwards across the troopers chest. The trooper fell to the floor as Adam then sheaved his sword and leaped into the air. He sword then shot out of it's sheave as it struck another trooper in the face, causing him he topple backwards. His sword flipped into the air as he then grabbed the handle. He then raised his swords and slashed the trooper, landing over the floor behind him before shading forward.

The sound of blaster fire and the gasps of the troopers could be heard from the bridge. The Captain gazed back at the entrance, seeing the bright blue flashes of blaster fire from outside. He glanced to the other crew members.

"Close the door!" he exclaimed to them.

One of the other officers rushed to the control panel at the side of the open doorway. He then pressed the left button, causing the doors to slid shut and lock. The captain uttered a sigh of relief.

"Captain, the General is on the line." Another officer said.

The Captain turned and faced the front of the bridge, placing his arms behind his back.

"Patch him through." He ordered.

It was there that a blue hologram projection of General Granger appeared before the captain.

"What is it, Captain?" The General asked.

"We have a situation," The Captain insisted.

"We are under attack!"

"By who?" The General asked, curiously.

"White Fang, sir." The captain insisted.

"They've taken control of most of the ship. We are in need of immediate assistance!"

"White Fang?!" General Granger exclaimed.

The General glared.

"Copy that," The General said with a nod of his head.

"We are sending reinforces to your location. And captain, I want them alive."

The Captain nodded his head.

"Yes, General." The Captain said.

It was right at that moment when the hologram dissolved, there was a loud thud from the doorway behind them. The captain cocked his head, glancing back at the doorway. He reached down to his side, drawing his pistol as he pointed it at the doorway. There was a moment of silence.

And then suddenly, the door was blown open by a sudden explosion. Officers near the doorway were thrown back by the impact, while others quickly dove for cover. It was at that moment the captain fired his pistol at the now open doorway, the blue plasma bolts disappearing into the smoke. There was a sudden flash, revealing a figure in black, blocking his shots with his sword. He then rushed at the Captain, who continued to fire at him. Adam swiped the blaster out of his hand before kicking the back against the controls panels.

Before he could stand back up, he was suddenly faced with the very tip of Adam's sword pressed against his neck. He paused, glancing up at the white masked figure. Adam grinned, glancing back at the other officers, who pointed their pistols at him.

"Drop your weapons," Adam then said.

"As of this moment, this ship is now under control of the white fang."

It was right at that moment other members of the white fang stormed into the bridge. They came came up to other officer, raising their blasters to them. The officers lowered their weapons as others stood up from their stations. They then placed their hands behind their head, complying with the demands of their captors.

The last of the troopers who was guarding the Cargo hold was then shot, falling against the wall. Roman smirked, lowering his cane as he and the others approached the door to the cargo hold.

"We'll just let ourselves in." Roman said, pressing the console next to the door.

The door then slid open as Roman and Neo stepped inside. He then paused, gasping in awe at the many crates that were inside. He glanced back at the others.

"See?" He said, turning back to them.

"What did I tell you, guys?"

He then turned forward as he came up to one of the crates. He pressed it's side panel, causing the lid to slide open. Inside, he found several new blaster prototypes. He reached in and pulled out one of the blaster, staring up in awe and anticipation.

"These are going to be a fortune on the Black Market." He insisted.

He then glanced back at the white fang members.

"Well, what are you waiting for," He said.

"Time is money. Let's get these loaded onto ship."

The white fang member came up to the others cates as they began moving them to the hanger.

Blake walked into the bridge of the ship. She glanced to her left, where she saw the crew was lined up over their knees. Many of which looked with a looked panicked. The captain was pushed forward by the blaster held by one of the other white fang members. He was forced down onto his knees along side his crew. Then then took his arms and cuffed them behind his back.

Blake then turned forward to Adam, who stood facing the view port.

It was then that he was approached by one of the other members.

"Sir, Roman and the others have already began loading the cargo." he said.

Adam smirked.

"Set the charges." He then ordered.

Blake up at him with shock and awe.

"What?!" she exclaimed.

"Yes, sir." The member said, nodding his head.

"What about the crew?" she asked, curiously.

Adam glanced back to her.

"What about them?" he said.

"Adam, please," she pleaded to him.

"Stop this..."

"They've already seen too much," Adam proclaimed to her.

"And they've already called for reinforcements. We can't afford to be discovered, not when we've come this far."

Blake glanced back at the captain and his crew. The White fang members had already began placing charges over the controls of the bridge. The officer glanced back in shock and horror, contemplating what was to happen to them. It didn't sound like they were going to be taken prisoner by the white fang. But rather it seemed like they were going to go down with the ship itself.

Roman watched as the last of the cargo had been loaded onto the transport. He then then turned, pressing the COMM link in his right ear.

"The Cargos loaded." He said.`

Adam nodded his head.

"Copy that," he said.

"We're on our way."

Adam turned back to the other white fang members.

"Lets go!" he said.

The other members nodded their heads. They then turned and made their way to the doorway. One of the officers glanced to Adam and Blake.

"Please," he exclaimed.

"You can't leave us here!"

Blake turned to the officers.

"Please, just let us go!" another pleaded.

"We won't tell anyone. Please, let us go!"

"Please, I have a family!"

Adam came up behind Blake, who continued facing the Lothadarians. He then paused, glancing to her.

"Blake, it's time to go." He said.

Blake narrowed her eyes, knowing that she couldn't stay. Nor could she do anything about it. She then glanced up at them

"I'm sorry." she said.

She then turned as she and Adam ran toward the door. It was right at that moment they came out into corridor, the charges then armed.

Adam and Blake were the last ones to board the transports. As she came up into the hold, Blake turned as she glanced back into the hanger. Only for the ramp then life over the entrance, blocking her view. Blake narrowed her head, closing her eyes in guilt and contempt.

"What have I done?" she thought to herself.

The ship lifted off the floor as it then turned and flew out of the open hanger. It was by the time the transport had came to a safe distance from the ship, the timers over the charges had counted down their final second. Sealing the fates of everyone aboard. A massive explosion erupted in the ship's bridge, breaking through the glass of the view port. The changes they had set at the ship's side engines also went off, causing the ship to slowly descended to the valley below, crashing down into the forest in a fiery blaze.
