Alex peered out to the harbor, looking briefly about as Freefall arrived to speak with him. 'What is on your mind, my rider?' Alex glanced to the drake taking a moment beside him as he breathed to speak.
"A bounty hunter will do whatever to get what they seek, but they should also have a good sense of morals..." He pulled up a knee and hugged it as he spoke. "I nearly neutered Gajeel, in a attempt to get him to tell us what is going on and why, I could have mangled his life if I was just bit sloppy or cruel in getting the information, I put the fear of me into everyone there..." He shook his head with a hollow look. "I ridiculed Laxus for following in his father's mentality, but I am just as terrible as Ivan, I put the guild at risk for my behavior." Freefall rested a wing on his shoulders as the drake spoke.
'I believe that what you had done was the correct action, it may have been over the top, but it was the right decision to get the guild to understanding the threat.' Alex glanced as the reptile continued, peering across the waters as well. 'Mystogan is likely eliminating the branches to prevent them from picking a fight or reinforcing the main structure, we just have to keep Heartfilla safe and ensure the guild is protected.' Alex hummed in agreeing to that at least as Freefall removed the wing to glance behind before stepping forward a bit in spreading the wings. 'For now, you have a conversation to make up for...' The drake took flight and Alex hung his head in knowing who had arrived before he spoke.
"Kenith..."
"Alex..." The larger young man strode to the spot where Freefall was and thumped onto the ground, palm to his knee as he grit his teeth. "...You were dead, you were rushed to intensive care, but nothing was going to reset your body before you just... expired, you... died...!"
"I know..." Alex answered as he resumed with watching the waters. "I didn't expect that sort of thing to happen on her birthday and I reacted in saving her, there was nothing else that was on my mind at that time..." Alex ran a hand through his hair, taking off the Stetson in the process. "i get that you don't want an apology, or even a heartfelt letter of remorse, but know that I didn't..." Anymore was lost when Kenith pulled him in and he slipped into the embrace as he spoke with a skit. "How can you forgive me so easily, I thought you would be furious with me..."
"I was never angry with you, I was sad because I was afraid you had lost your way..." Both cracked before laughing, their laugh filled the waters with cheer and amusement before they calmed down and Kenith spoke with standing up. "Alex..." Alex followed in standing up, the distance revealing the towering structure marching for Magnolia as Alex spoke.
"It seems that we had gotten Jose's attention, he is bringing the titan to bare." He sensed and spoke with opening his eyes again. "And the Element Four are here, they are in search of Lucy, we need to get back to the guild."
"How sad." Both turned as two individuals appeared, one from the air itself and the other from the ground as the larger guy spoke. "We are members of the Element Four and we have been sent to secure Heartfilia for delivery. It is so sad that you would interfere with our duties."
"Interfere?" Kenith spoke with narrowed brow as the wobbly man joined in with a jolly tone.
"Oui! You fairies are prolonging our operations and you had done so in hiding Lucy Heartfilia and preventing our membre from showing you what was going to occur." There was then a edge of gleeful rage. "So we will find her and bring her before our master while ripping off your petite wings, Fairies..."
"You face Aria, the Wing Element and Strongest, and Sol, the Earth Element. Your deaths will be swift, so sad..." Silence filled the area as a storm formed overhead, but Alex finally reacted with a facepalm as Kenith grinned with drool falling from his opened jaw.
"You poor, naïve fools..." He dragged his hand down his face as his eye flared in blue. "You will never be faster than the speed of lightning itself and Sol just served up an all-you-eat-buffet for my brother." They shifted into combat stances as lightning formed around Alex's jaw, his hands, and his feet while the ground formed to Kenith's body armor. "Hey, you got some beats for this?"
"I figured that we could use some beats." Kenith answered with a hidden smile under the visor as he pulled out a lacrima and tossed it into the air, it glowing before it stilled in the air and started to play music, the ground shaking to the pound like it affected everything as both loosened up.
'This is the feeling, I can't believe it. My heart is bleeding out, now I'm dangerous.' Both smiled with glee and the two Elements felt the same terror surge through them. That they were messing with the wrong fairies...
Little did Alex or Kenith realize that their lacrima was not just empowering them, its flow breathing energy and life into Magnolia and more importantly, the Fairy Tail guild...
The pound of a drum rumbled through the city with a guitar riff and the echoing claps, before the words pounded like beats of a heart. 'At first I was afraid, I was afraid. Down in the darkness I was crawling through the human race.' Fairy Tail felt it and it breathed power like never before. 'I heard the voices through the dark, (Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh), So I beat my fist against my chest, against my heart.'
The Phantom Lord guild marched for them, but they stood up, unafraid of the war to come. 'Hey-ho! Hear the sound. We are the underground.' Erza, Gray, and Natsu felt the energy do the same for their members and them as Lucy felt it echo a rebellion. 'Hey-ho! Rising up. We're not afraid of fighting.'
"I've finally found my place, I put the war paint on my face." Natsu spoke with fire in hand, somehow knowing the song by heart. "And I'm ready to give (Hey!). Whatever it takes." Gray followed up as they readied for a fight, just as so as Juvia Lockster and Totomaru arrived to grab Lucy.
"Standing at the edge of the fire, fighting for the will to survive. I feel it burning under my skin, and I'm back on my feet again."
'This is the feeling, I can't believe it. My heart is bleeding out, now I'm dangerous.' And Natsu and Gray clashed, Erza protecting Lucy on instinct, but why was a weird question, it was just a feeling.
'Feeding the fire, higher and higher. Rising up, rising up, now I'm dangerous.' Magnolia both feared the coming forces, but also was enraged, even the heart within felt anger and directed it at the Phantom Lord structure.
'Silence the voices in my head. I picked my poison now, I'll drink it to the bitter end. Hey-ho! Hear me now!' Erza recalled those memories and breathed as, though they were of a bad nature, they were part of her as she watched Natsu and Gray prove that they were strong enough to fight those considered S-Rank as she headed for the Guild with Lucy in tow. 'I take on the darkness by myself, 'cause I'm ready to give (Hey!), whatever it takes.'
'Standing at the edge of the fire, I don't know how I ever survived. I feel it burning under my skin, And now I'm back on my feet again.' The city pounded with the song as it roared with their life, their soul, and their refusal to turn down the feeling that coursed through them.
The world felt it just the same as, deep inside Fairy Tail, she breathed in her cell and opened her eyes to stare out. 'This is the feeling, I can't believe it. My heart is bleeding out, now I'm dangerous.' Her heart pumped with life once again as she commanded with a single voice. 'Feeding the fire, higher and higher. Rising up, rising up, Now I'm dangerous.'
Alex and Kenith dashed, both smashing into Aria and Sol with great force and furious glee as their song of battle played, it being a deeper pitch, but it still breathed the same message as Alex axe-kicked Aria into his shoulder and spun to land a roundhouse kick into Aria's skull to the drop. 'This is the feeling, I can't believe it.' Kenith slammed into Sol harder and faster than he could generate anything to protect him or attack before lashing out a hand to grapple Sol's arm and smash him into the ground with great impact, his smile still powerful. 'My heart is bleeding out, Now I'm dangerous.'
Phantom Lord stopped and aimed the Jupiter Cannon and Erza rushed to use her Adamantine Armor and the cannon blasted, her shield going up against the blast, but a sense of warmth surged through her as she peered in awe of a small girl of flowing blonde hair and wings in the cascades, a white dress adorning her as she held up a hand to the Magic Circle, empowering it much more. 'Feeding the fire, higher and higher. Rising up, rising up, Now I'm dangerous.' To the sheer shock of Phantom Lord, the shield held out to a mere exhaust of Erza as the girl glared at the structure before beginning to cast an intensely powerful spell, the town felt the sheer increase as her eyes screamed one thing at the Phantom Lord building. 'I'm dangerous!' With that, she cast her spell, one of the greatest Three Fairy Magics.
"Fairy Law..." A pillar of light struck the guild and its color faded to bleached out colors and all of the bloodlust-fueled member, Jose included, were cleansed to pale whites, their magic refusing to come back alive in the face of the judgement that had smite their masters, those that had some doubts were spared as the song came to a finish. 'Rising up, rising up, now I'm dangerous.' Within a mere few hours, the war of Phantom Lord was killed off, the victor being Fairy Tail itself and Makarov knew that the Council would want an answer and he will answer with a firm tone and using Phantom Lord's Loss to improve the Guild.
"Fairies are not so harmless when their kin are threatened."
Alex peered to see the Fairy Law casted from his position standing on Aria's crumbled body, his brow furrowing at the unknown feeling of Mavis coming out of the guild, before it quieted to a calm, he catching the Lacrima and turning to Kenith who was lightly nibbling on Sol's arm, the Element crying from the beating and the guy literally tasting his skin. "Any feedback?" Kenith spat before smashing Sol into the ground, hard.
"Like poor-aged cheese, I prefer my cheeses to be better tasting!" Alex nodded as Freefall returned from the guild's direction, he just sending the drake to warn them in case of mass invasion.
'Well done, and I must say, you both have certainly roused the spirit of Fairy Tail to full force.' This stopped them as they looked at the drake as the drake grinned. 'Oh, you didn't know that your little jam was pounding through ALL of Magnolia and filling the Wizards to levels that could be considered near Second Origin levels?' Their eyes popped out in surprise before both turned to the other in horror.
"Oh, I don't want to ask, but..."
"I only had the time to fashion a simple lacrima to test it out and just had a random song in my mind to play!" They both stared at the Lacrima and quickly noticed subtle differences that could be channeled through specific members and it looked like what they fueled into the Lacrima, both of their magical strength, resounded through those same members, so if every single one of the members had been feeling what Kenith and Alex had by the music that pounded the city as several of the structures were suddenly looking a bit more worn, like the blast of sound started to wear them down...
Both dropped in disbelief as Freefall laughed, both of them exclaiming in terror. "SHUT UP, YOU STUPID IGUANA!"
Laxus didn't waste any time in insulting the guild, thinking that they had struggled in fighting the Phantom Lord guild and insulting the apparent reason for the battle and Team Shadowgear for their connection to Lucy before all gaped at the sight of Mirajane backhanding Laxus onto the floor, his headphones shattered to her bare hand as she spoke. "You have no reason, nor privilege, to insult them when you were elsewhere and unwilling to help, just like Galuna Island, you are being a selfish prick and have no right, nor will you ever get that right to be Guild Master."
Laxus stared with disbelief as Mira continued her tongue lashing. "That is the same sort of cockiness that cost me dearly two years ago, it broke me and I know for a fact that you are not so tough to pretend that losing Freed, Bixslow, or Evergreen will break you as well, we are first weak before we are strong, I disagree with your mentality of being out for the strongest in the guild, that is not a family, that is a dictatorship, so get your big head out of your music and actually acknowledge those in the guild, instead of looking at them as sheep, that's how a Dark Guild member acts, are YOU a member of a Dark Guild?" Laxus numbly shook his head as Mirajane turned on her heel.
"Then act like you are not riding on the coat tails of the past and start thinking about what will ACTUALLY benefit the Guild." She walked away, the click of her heels a haunting tone as Alex and Kenith, having taken a seat to drink up and ignore the possibility of somehow linking to all of the members and the city, from the scuttlebutt around town through the music playing for their battle, glanced at the other, one looking to the mark on the collar while the other had opened up his robe a bit to showcase his Fairy Tail mark boldly on his chest, lifted their mugs and downed their drinks before they slammed them on the table and stood up, drawing attention as both had fire in their eyes.
"East Forest, our match, be late or not, we are now testing the other!" They marched out, the guild still for a moment before Natsu bolted up.
"Hey, hold up, at least help me out a bit more with my power!"
"Aye!" Happy exclaimed in the two charging off with Gray bolting up as well.
"No way am I letting Natsu get ahead of me, wait up!"
"Uh, shouldn't we stop them...?"
"No, this is the perfect chance to discover Alex and Kenith's thresholds." Erza spoke with standing up as well. 'Come, Lucy, we shall see their strength firsthand!"
"S-Sure...!" Lucy agreed, happy to be in a place that respects and treats her as an actual person, unlike her father who was just cold and all about the business, she had finally found the heart to finally pay her mother's grave a visit and renouncing her father, she was not alone, however, as Makarov had come along in some formal and official attire and the Heartfilia Konzern learned not to enrage Makarov after his visit or assume that he was a fool by his noticing a certain level of issues brought on by overworking and overextending, pointing out a debt issue. But as Lucy was a member of Fairy Tail, she shouldn't shoulder the burdens of the company if she wasn't interested and she has never had an interest for years...
(Before anyone grills me, I don't own Fairy Tail or the song 'I'm Dangerous', I just thought it would be a fun addition for the story.)
