SERCRET.

Ministry of Defense.

Addressed to the Marshal of the Soviet Union.

Colonel Vladimir Orlovsky Operational report, Operation New Russia.

As of this report, the operation is going smoothly. My brigade has quickly set up its staging area on the other side of the Archway and I have sent out my combat battalions on reconnaissance into the surrounding area. Despite the initial entry into this world there has been minimal interference from the hostile wildlife, the same kind that made their way over into our side, but my subordinates still report encounters of these creatures. So far, the type creatures reported seem to be the same breeds we have already fought, a mix of bear and wolf creatures and little to none of the avian type. Weapons remain effective against these breeds; they take substantial small arms fire but are still able to be destroyed if the soldiers aim is good and consistent. Light weapons are highly effective, anything explosive or over the caliber of 7.62mm remains the most reliable way of dispatching these creatures. Heavy weapons such as artillery and heavy mortars have not been used extensively against these creatures, but I believe the creatures would be sufficiently destroyed if they are properly coordinated against them.

The overall quality of the troops under my command is good. Due to the climate of the Ural region and some veterans of the war in Afghanistan that supplement the C-class divisions in the region, they make for some good soldiers. And due to some personal of the American theater that I brought with me mixed in, it only increases the reliability of the brigade.

But I have to state, I'm concerned about this operations integrity and its units involved. Despite my efforts to properly organize the brigade to achieve its objective, it's still largely vulnerable. My units as of now, are well supported due to their proximity to the staging area and if under threat would be supported by other units. But I have been given orders to send them out further, I will follow these orders, but I must state, if I send them out over 30 kilometers from the staging area, I cannot guarantee the future operational capacity of the units.

As shown by my strength, I am severely undermanned in actual combat personal for proper support of my units. If one of my battalions finds itself in dire need of assistance the only support they will receive will be a limited amount of artillery support, which at most will be a battalion's worth of artillery due to other battalions needing artillery security. And they will only receive limited air support, for the airfield is still being constructed so no fixed wing aircraft support and little helicopter support. So, I must request more troops in order for proper support for the brigade as a whole. Because as of now, if more than one battalion is put out of action, the staging area is theft exposed and under the mercy of this world.
