This is my version of what happened after Sonic Forces every one shot takes place in the modern timeline
Sonic and Tails arrived At Dr Eggman's base to stop him from taking over the world
Tails: why doesn't Eggman just give up? As you told me You been defeating Eggman since were 5
Sonic: That's just how Eggman is
5 minutes later at the security room
Sonic: Prepare to be Defeated Egghead
Dr. Eggman: STOP CALLING ME EGGHEAD
Dr. Eggman then summons his latest mech which is a combination of The Death Egg Robot from Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and The Egg Viper from Sonic Adventure
Dr. Eggman: Prepare for The Death Egg Viper to be your Demise Hedgehog and Fox!
Tails then grabs Sonic's hands and starts flying up with his Two Tails while holding Sonic and throws him Towards Eggman's Mech which starts shooting missiles which Sonic jumps on them and hops off them and Hits the Dome of the robot damaging it then Sonic and Tails combine together into One Spindash Hitting the dome again
Then The Hand of Eggman's robot started to try to punch Sonic But Sonic grabs it and does a flip kick to it causing it Hit Dome Breaking the Dome
Then The Death Egg Viper starts sparking
Then Sonic kicks The Chest of the Robot and it explodes
Dr. Eggman: CURSE YOU SOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCC!
Tails then gets punched by Metal Sonic In the Head which Sonic Gets so mad by he goes in the Dark Form and destroys Meta Sonic with one punch while is in his spindash form
Dark Sonic then calms down to base form
Sonic: Tails you okay?
Sonic then decides to Take Tails home due to it being 12:00AM
An hour later
Sonic carefully and quietly walks upstairs and puts Tails in His bedroom on his bed and puts the cover over Tails
Sonic: sweet dreams lil' bro
Sonic then goes in his own bedroom and gets in his own bed and puts the cover over himself
