ACxOCU Ch 26. Your Not So Average Couple.
(Camera pans through the clouds as music plays I think I like you by Donora and it shows Menthis and Sarah on another date.)

(They head into a thai restaurant.)
I'd go for thai with you.

(They both sit down and order.)

(They both smile at each as the waitress pours their drinks.)
I'd share Black Labels with you.

(They both clink their glasses together with a smile.)

(It shows Menthis and Sarah later that day watching together.)
I'd watch C-Span with you.

(Menthis smiles at her and kisses her forehead.)

(The next day they're both at the Quahog record store looking at stuff.)
I'd turn some records with you.

(It shows Chris outside the store looking in at them rubbing his eyes in disbelief.)
"No fucking way." Chris says to himself.
Back at home.
(Menthis gets into the apartment and twirls down onto the couch.)
"Bruh…" Says Chris just looking at him.
"What?" Asks Menthis still smiling.
"I've never seen you this happy, it's freaking me out." Says Chris, "Last time you were this happy the pizza delivery person kept mysteriously breaking down in front of the building."
"Hah yeah mysteriously." Laughs Menthis.
"Well Meg and Eddie are coming over for a visit." Says Chris when there's a knock at the door, "That must be them now." Says Chris getting up to go answer the door.
"Okay so what's this about you and Sarah?" Asks Eddie walking in.
"Woah don't act too jealous there I'd think something was up." Remarks Meg to Eddie's eager question.
"I'm not…it's just…just there's always an ulterior motive with that girl." Stammers Eddie.
"Why can't you look a gift horse in the mouth? Can't we just be happy they're happy?" Replies Meg sitting down on the couch.
"But there usually is." Says Eddie pacing back and forth now.
(Suddenly there's a knock on the door and Sarah comes in.)
"Menthis you ready to go see that movie?" Asks Sarah, "Oh hi Meg hi Eddie good to see you guys." She says as Menthis and her head out the door.
"Y'all saw that she totally ignored me, there's definitely something strange going on." Says Eddie.
"Wow you're doing so well at acting, totally not jealous." Meg says lighting up a cigarette.
"I'm not jealous!" Exclaims Eddie.
Later after Menthis gets home.
(Both Menthis and Chris are in the bedroom lying in their beds talking.)
"I'm glad you and Sarah are happy I was a little wary at first but have come to accept it as one of your healthiest relationships." Says Chris to Menthis.
"Thanks man I too wasn't sure at first but the more I'm around her the more it seems right." Replies Menthis.
"Yeah." Chris agreed with a smile.
(They both fall asleep.)
Dream Sequence Begins.
(Menthis sees a bright light and heads towards it as he begins to get closer he sees Sarah he shouts her name but it seems she doesn't hear him and she walks on ahead.)
"Sarah, wait!" Menthis shouts running after her putting his hands up to shield his eyes as the light gets brighter he almost gets to Sarah who seems to have stopped walking when he sees a familiar figure next to her yet with how familiar the figure seems to be as he gets closer he doesn't seem to be able to fully recognize them, "Sarah!" He shouts as she grabs the figure's hand and they walk off into the light without him, "Sarah!" He shouts but she still doesn't hear him.
Dream Sequence Ends.
(Menthis wakes up the next morning in a cold sweat.)
(Menthis quickly calls Sarah to see if she's okay but decides not to tell her of the dream after that he goes out into the kitchen where he sees Chris cooking eggs.)
"Rough night?" Asks Chris.
"How'd you know?" Replies Menthis.
(Chris points to the ratchet straps lying on top of the washer.)
"I wish you wouldn't use those for my night terrors." Says Menthis.
"It's easier than trying to get you to calm down then spending the rest of the night talking about nightmares, you dream some scary shit dude." Replies Chris.
"Not my fault." Says Menthis.
"Your Netflix watch history and Google search history would say otherwise." Replies Chris putting eggs and toast on a plate and handing it to Menthis.
Later at Sarah's.
"You've been awfully quiet Menthis is something wrong?" Asks Sarah looking at Menthis.
"I don't know, I've been having weird dreams lately." Menthis replies then sees Sarah smiling at him, "What?" He asks.
"Oh nothing." Sarah says, snapping out of her trance, "I never really noticed how cute you are when you're frustrated, that's all.
"Oh okay, thanks I guess well I should get going Chris should be getting home soon." Menthis says getting up and kissing her on the cheek.
As he does she hears a whisper, "Get them to remember."
"Remember…" Sarah says to herself just loud enough for Menthis to hear.
"Remember what?" Menthis asks curiously.
"Oh…I have to go buy some stuff for Amy that's all. Sarah replies with a smile.
"Oh okay well I'll see you tomorrow then." Says Menthis with a smile walking out the door.
"Can't wait." Sarah says with a slight wave.
(Junior who was across the street watching the house sees Menthis finally come outside.)
"Do you want a ride home Menthis?" Asks Junior pulling up to Menthis as he gets to the sidewalk.
"Oh hey Junior thanks." Replies Menthis who gets into the car with Junior and they drive off.
(Unnoticed Sarah blankly stares at them from through the curtains as they drive off.)
