Bookstore Surprises
Bōchord was a small Muggle bookshop and coffeehouse just a few streets away from The Leaky Cauldron. It had been a favorite haunt of Hermione's since she discovered it during the summer vacation between her fifth and sixth years at Hogwarts. The store's shelves were always well stocked and there were several places where one could just sit down to enjoy a good book with a warm drink.
Hermione gave a small happy sigh as she pushed open the door to Bōchord. 'I haven't been here is ages. I'm so happy I decided to come today.' She thought as she started browsing the shelves, to see what would catch her eye.
As she passed one if the sitting areas, she saw a flash of white-blonde hair out the corner of her eye. She paused and turned to look at the chair situated near one of the shop windows. In the chair was a lean man with long legs crossed at the ankles. The legs were clad in a pair of dark gray slacks that went beauty with the black dress shoes that covered the man's feet. The man's torso was encased in a form fitting, button up, ice-blue shirt with long sleeves. However, the sleeves were currently rolled up to the man's elbows. Hermione tried to get a glimpse of the man's face, but it was hidden by the book he was reading. Yet, she could see his hair. It was long, white-blonde, and up in a man bun.
Hermione shook her head in disbelief. 'There is just no way. I only know two people with hair like that and neither of them would be caught dead with it up in a man bun.' She was just about to turn back to the bookshelves when the man turned a page in his book, and it revealed just enough of his face that Hermione to could see who it was.
'Holy Shit! It's Lucius Malfoy!'
