"This one's creepy." Rylai whispered as she and Lanaya neared the entrance of a hut. She shuddered slightly but as she knocked, nothing of her uneasiness showed on her features.
The creature opening the door a few moments later was indeed creepy. It had a mask covering its eyes and blood dripping from extremely sharp teeth. It hissed at the Crystal Maiden, spraying tiny droplets of blood on her costume. The Templar Assassin tensed but since the creature didn't make any threatening moves, she stayed where she was.
"Trick or treat!" Rylai smiled. She hadn't even flinched at the hiss, didn't react to the teeth and the blood.
Another hiss from the Bloodseeker. "Treats?", he asked.
The Maiden nodded, still smiling. For a moment nothing happened. Then the Bloodseeker stalked closer and walked around Rylai. During the round he stopped a few times and when he did so, he sniffed at her. At her arm, her hair and between her shoulder blades. The Templar Assassin didn't blink once, keeping her eyes on the creature all the time. She was ready to attack should the creature do something. But he just walked back to the door.
"The treats I eat are the hearts of centaurs, the eyes and ears of elves, the gills of nagas, the brains of humans or the wings of fairies." Rylai shuddered slightly at this listing. Lanaya understood her reaction, but she was completely focused on the creature, on every move it made, every breath, every tiny twitch of his hands. He was dangerous.
"Um, I guess we don't need any of these treats. But thanks."
"You are very welcome Crystal Maiden. If you change your mind, just come over. It's always a pleasure to meet you."
