Saiyan of Eden
"Geeze, what was her problem?" Shiki questioned as they sat in a booth in one of the many in-house restaurants located on the upper levels of the Guildhall.
"Ignore her." Megami said updating the footage she took. "She's just the type of attention whore people don't realize is actually worthless to society. She's a bully, and I think I'm using this term right, an overly entitled self obsessed Karen. An' charging out the wazoo for autographs and handshakes, I'd only charge 10 Glees if I were doing it."
"You're certainly a person with the right moral compass." Rebecca said. "I thought you said you weren't gonna edit the footage?"
"I'm not editing it, I'm just adding a couple of videos. An' intro video I filmed on our way here, and another video I took of her while Shiki used his Ether Gear to make her fly off the ground." Megami said, posting the video. "An' done."
"You know, the guild's pretty different then from what I was imagining." Shiki said, digging into his food.
"I know what you mean, but hey that's just how life is. We can't expect everything to be the way we imagine it." Megami said, eating her own food.
"What did you think it would be like?" Rebecca questioned.
"I just thought it'd be a cool place to take on quests and earn some cash." Megami said.
"An' I thought it's be more like a place where everyone is family." Shiki said.
"I'm positive there's a planet that recently joined the space exploration thing with a guild like that." Megami said looking through the internet. "I'm pretty sure I read about it when I was getting a new outfit. What was it called, Earth Hand? No that's not it."
"Speaking of outfits Megami, what happened to your old one?" Shiki asked.
"I trashed the pants in the battle against the Neepa Gang, but I still have my signature top. I'm just wearing it underneath this one." Megami explained, pulling part of her top down to reveal the red and black armor before looking past Rebecca as she spotted something. "Excuse me, I'll be right back." She said, hopping out of the booth and taking off.
"What's with her?" Happy asked.
"No idea." Shiki said.
"So back to the topic of the guild. I don't know much about the other members but I'm happy I met Clarisse. She's a good person." Rebecca said. "An' I know they call that place a guild, but most people only join to find more work."
"Oh, I see what you mean."
"But that's okay, we don't need those guys anyway." Rebecca said. "So instead, let's go on our own adventure."
"We can go anywhere in the universe?" Shiki asked.
"Yep, anywhere we wanna go." Happy smiled, before something went off.
"Ah, that's my phone. Here it is." Rebecca smiled, pulling the device out. "I went ahead and registered you online. Megami I think did the same for herself. This is your adventurer card." She said, showing him the registered license as a Guild Member.
"Awesome, my face is even on the card." Shiki smiled as Rebecca printed it out.
"It's actually a type of Ether power." Rebecca said.
"It's Earthland." Megami said, slamming her hands on the table as she came back, spooking the trio sitting there.
"It's what?" Shiki questioned.
"That planet I was talking about. It's called Earthland and it's filled with actual magic. I recognized two people from it walking past us, and I even got a selfie with them." Rebecca said showing them the photo of her with a pink haired man in a scarf with another blonde haired woman, both of them showing emblems that looked like fairies with tails.
"You have a phone?"
"Yeah, it was sent to me by a fan a few months ago. Said it was a gift for making their days brighter." Megami said, before pulling up her Guild Registration License. "But my registration managed to print, and I printed it when I started filming with them and it was a huge deal that I got my registration with them."
"Uh… she's acting very differently." Rebecca said nervously.
"She's always been a huge fan of magic and sorcery. Even took on the role of one when we would play adventurer when we were kids." Shiki smirked. "Whenever magic's involved, she starts acting all giddy like a kid in a candy store."
"Ah, that explains it." Rebecca said, sounding a bit more relieved.
"Check it out you guys. I've even started designing my own emblem. Salamander and Celestial Priestess said it was okay if I had it, making me an honorary member of their guild." Megami smiled.
"Who and who?" Happy asked.
"Oh, those were their official titles back on Earthland." Megami stated holding up the image digitally drawn on her phone's screen. "But check it out."
"She's really fangirling over this stuff huh?" Rebecca chuckled. "So what's say we go ahead and get started on our first adventure?"
"I think that's a good idea." Megami smiled, scooting into the booth, putting Shiki at the inside end. "Hey Shiki, why does your card have Granbell on it?"
"You said Shiki didn't know his last name, and you took your last name from the title granted to you by the King, so I just went ahead and used the planet you're both from for his." Rebecca said.
"Speaking of planets… you seem to be taking the fact I'm a Saiyan survivor from the destroyed Planet Vegeta, pretty well." Megami said.
"Well you're nothing like the rumors I've heard about Saiyans, that make your people out to be. Plus I've seen what you've done to the Frieza Force, so I know you're not with those jerks." Rebecca said.
"Speaking of, I noticed a lot of the jobs posted on the guild's website included taking down invading Frieza Force soldiers on distant planets." Megami said.
"Yeah. The Frieza Force has slowly been making their way into the Sakura Cosmos for about a decade now. So more and more planets are being wiped out and conquered by them daily. All the chaos going on has been happening thanks to his top General, Guav, who also happens to be his nephew, or so I hear." Rebecca said. "So the fact is, the jobs keep piling up, but no one wants to take them, because no one's been brave enough to take them on. An' those who have, never return."
"Creepy." Shiki said.
"So, what should our first adventure be?" Megami asked.
"I know, how about searching for Mother?" Shiki suggested. "Remember those stories Grandpa always told us about her?"
"Vaguely, I just remember him mentioning her name, and then blanking out for a while." Megami said.
"That doesn't sound healthy, but this does sound like a great adventure, and a chance for some great videos." Rebecca said. "Only problem is, my ship can't get us there, it's not strong enough."
"So we can't go?" Shiki questioned.
"No we can, we just have to get a better ship." Rebecca said.
"Alright, so our party's coming together. Now we just need companions. We need a healer, and a magician, since we've already got a warrior." Shiki said.
"This isn't Granbell Shiki. This is real life." Megami said, smacking him upside the head. "So where can we go to get a new ship?"
"I know just the person." Rebecca smiled dialing up a number on her phone. "Professor Weisz can help us. He's a good friend, he's even the one who brought Happy back to me after the incident."
"A Professor. Do you think he'll be my friend?" Shiki questioned.
"The Professor is super nice, so I'm sure he would." Happy stated.
"I don't think he's home right now, but that's okay." Rebecca said, not getting a response on her call. "Let's make a new friend and get a better ship."
"Yeah." Shiki cheered.
~Later~
"Here comes trouble." A member of the guild said.
"It's a group of space pirates, what are they doing here?"
"How did they get into the port?"
At the head of this group of pirates, there stood a slim figured young woman with long crimson hair and brown eyes. She has a voluptuous figure with a G-Cup chest, and wears an eye patch covering her right eye. She wears a black, gold-trimmed, and high-collared coat that shows her space pirate insignia on the back over an unknown armored outfit, a pair of dark-colored gauntlets, armored knee-length boots, and wields a cutlass.
"It's Elsie and her gang."
"She's scary."
"What's she doing on this planet?"
Looking around, Elsie's gaze landed on Clarisse, and stepped towards her with her gang following close behind.
"You, have you seen these individuals?" Elise questioned, holding up her phone.
Clarisse flinched as she thought Elise was raising a weapon, before she opened her eyes to look at the phone, revealing it had a picture of both Shiki and Megami on it.
"Hey." One of the pirates said, causing Clarisse to freeze in fear.
"She asked a question, answer it." Another said.
"Be calm with her. She's terrified enough as is." Elise said.
"I-I… I don't know." Clarisse said, terrified with fear. "They both registered as Guild Members but I haven't seen them since."
"That's a shame. Thank you for you time."
"I've seen them."
Elise and her gang turned to who spoke up, with Clarisse looking over as well and saw the Guild Member, Megami had defended herself against for attacking and accusing her for being a member of the Frieza Force. He was drinking, with an angered look on his face, and his arm in a cast and sling to make sure it relocated properly, as Megami had unintentionally dislocated it.
"They were here earlier. That damned Frieza Force bitch and her friends mentioned something about going to planet Norma. Slut probably doesn't even know it's off limits now." The man said.
"Is that so?" Elise asked, her gang moving back as she stepped through them towards the man.
"Yeah, good riddance I say though. The last thing this guild needs to ruin its reputation is a member of the Frieza Force stinking up the place with her grk…" The man was stopped from his rambling of hatred as he found his throat grabbed by Elise, lifting him off his seat, and revealing she has a tattoo of her flag's crest on the upper part of her left arm.
"Say one more bad thing about my little sister, and I will cut out your tongue." Elise glared, her gang stepping up behind her in support of her defensive actions for Megami's honor. "Now, you said the planet Norma, isn't that right?"
~Megami's Group~
"Let's go." Shiki cheered. "Mother here we come."
"Our first big journey." Rebecca smiled.
"I hope the professor's doing well." Happy said.
"Hold on Shiki." Megami said. "We still need to get our bearings straight. We don't know this professor, so we're just going off Rebecca's word."
"Hey." Rebecca said, sounding a bit offended.
"I trust Rebecca, but we don't know if this Weisz guy's just been playing her, and she doesn't even know it. For all we know, he could be a conman who's manipulated Rebecca, or even a criminal." Megami said.
"She makes a valid point Rebecca." Happy said. "I mean, we trust him but our word alone wouldn't be enough to get them to trust him either."
"Good point." Rebecca said. "We can figure that out later. Right now let me show you around."
Leading the two through the ship, Rebecca stopped at a door that had a blank name tag on it.
"This is usually one of the ship's two guest rooms, but this one is all yours Megami." Rebecca said. "I'll show Shiki to his in a bit."
"You mean we're not sleeping in the same room together?" Shiki questioned.
"Idiot." Megami shouted punching Shiki in the back of the head and sending his face into the ground. "Don't you remember the lessons Micheal taught us about human customs? You and Rebecca won't share a room unless you're dating or… doing procreative activities." She said, her face blushing.
"She means naughty bedroom stuff." Happy said with a snicker.
"So if we're both here, who's driving the ship right now?" Shiki questioned sounding like he was in pain as he picked himself up.
"The Aqua Wing can fly without a pilot." Happy stated.
"Hey, can I try taking it out for a spin or something?" Shiki asked.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Megami said. "Shiki's piloting skills aren't all that good, in fact they make a chimp driving a car look like a master race car driver."
"Hey, I'm not that bad am I?"
"You crashed all the kiddie car horses at Granbell through a wall, and all you did was sit on one." Megami said.
"That was one time." Shiki said.
"Yeah, because the damage was so irreversible, the entire ride had been shut down for good." Megami stated. "Look, I don't think it'd be a good idea for either of us to drive the ship."
"Oh come on, what's the harm in letting him try? We're almost to Norma anyway, so we'll just be letting him drive the rest of the way before I take over and land the ship." Rebecca said.
"Your loss on a perfectly good ship." Megami sighed in defeat.
Heading back to the main docket of the ship, Megami couldn't help but feel like something wasn't right, and she was certain, that it had nothing to do with Shiki's driving abilities as he took the helm. It wasn't long before Shiki managed to fly them towards a planet with a ring of asteroids surrounding it.
"Is that the planet Norma?" Shiki questioned with excitement in his voice.
"That's the one." Happy said.
"Nice, now hop up so I can fly us in." Rebecca said still recording her video.
"Are you seriously recording this right now?" Megami questioned.
"What do you mean? I just started. An' all I got to do the whole time was hold the control stick." Shiki said.
"So the AI was still flying the ship. Explains why we're still in one piece." Megami said.
"Rude." Shiki said. "Anyways, I betcha I could land it if you let me give it a try."
"I'll have you know, landing a space ship takes a lot more then sitting in a chair and holding a control stick." Rebecca stated.
"I know that." Shiki said.
"Cocky noob tries landing a space ship for the first time in his life." Happy said.
"Don't encourage him." Megami stated.
"That would be an awesome video." Rebecca said, her face brightening up as she gave in to the idea.
"Yeah." Shiki agreed.
"I swear you're all incorrigible." Megami sighed in annoyance. "Once we reach breathable atmospheric air, open the hatch, I'll try to correct Shiki's course manually from the outside."
"Sorry, but I can't." Rebecca said. "Doors won't open while we're air born."
"Just great." Megami said walking off.
"Where are you going?" Rebecca asked.
"To record my last will and testimony." Megami stated.
"What's with her?" Happy asked.
"Nothing she's just being dramatic." Shiki stated. "Now show me how to land this thing."
"Right. All you have to do, is keep the control stick horizontal." Rebecca said, as four buttons appeared to Shiki's right. "An' then press the buttons on the side, one by one starting with…" She was unable to finish her instructions as Shiki just hit them all at once, before she cried out and pulled him into a choke hold. "I said one by one you idiot."
"But it's faster if I mash all the buttons at the same time." Shiki justified.
"I'm starting to regret not recording my own will and testimony." Happy said nervously as an alarm began to sound and a warning sign appeared on the windshield.
"Nice, does that mean we're ready to land?" Shiki asked as multiple warning and emergency signs began to pop up.
"No, that's the alarm." Rebecca stated.
"Never underestimate a noob." Happy stated in panic as they began to quickly descend towards the planet's surface.
"Whoa, are spaceships supposed to be this fast when a noob tries landing them?" Shiki asked with a joyful laugh.
"We're not landing at this speed." Rebecca said as the front of the ship began to heat up and turn red.
"We're crashing." Happy stated, right as they entered a cluster of clouds.
"Huh?" Shiki questioned, before they breached the clouds, and were heading straight for something massive in their way. "What's that thing?"
"Dodge it, DODGE IT." Rebecca cried out as Shiki maneuvered away from the stone pillar, and evaded others. "I told you to dodge it, not fly directly into it."
"I know, but I wanna get a good look at it." Shiki stated.
"What?" Rebecca questioned.
Right as Shiki was about to crash into one he was heading straight for, he pulled the controls upwards and flew directly along the surface into the air, making Rebecca scream as they breached the clouds above them.
"I should have heeded Megami's warning." Rebecca cried.
"Haha." Shiki laughed proudly as he leveled out the ship. "Not too shabby huh?" He smiled, looking over his shoulder to Rebecca.
"Watch out, it's right in front of us." Happy cried.
"Huh?" Shiki looked straight ahead, before joining Rebecca and Happy in crying out, right before they crashed into the stone pillar that came out of nowhere, taking them to the ground bellow, while Rebecca and Happy had been thrown into the windshield.
Right as Rebecca and Happy slid down to the ground next to the pilot's seat, the ship dislodged itself from the stone pillar and began falling to the ground, creating a large crashing sound as it made an impact. When they were no longer in danger, Shiki, Rebecca, and Happy left the ship to examine the damage.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You crashed my spaceship." Rebecca scolded, giving Shiki an ear full.
"Hahaha, it'll be a good video though." Shiki said with a laugh.
"Yeah it will." Rebecca said, giving him a thumbs up, before correcting her mood. "Hey, don't change the subject."
"Guy's, what about the ship?" Happy questioned.
"An' Megami. Where is she?" Rebecca asked.
"What did I tell you?" A child's voice came from their side, by their legs.
Looking down, Rebecca and Shiki gasped when they saw a child sized Megami looking right at them, trying to look frustrated, but instead looked adorable as she raised one of her arms to point at them, while only wearing the top half of her Gi, as it was the only thing, aside from her Saiyan armor, that properly covered any part of her, while her legs from the knees down were exposed.
"I told you Shiki was a terrible driver, but did you listen to me? No, you just let him fly your ship and I got shaken around in my room, like a marble in a balloon." Megami said, her voice even sounding like a childs. "Hey, why are you looking at me like that, and why are you two so much bigger all of a sudden?"
"OMG. Megami, you're so adorable." Rebecca said, lunging at Megami and pulling her in for a hug, rubbing cheeks with her.
"Hey, stop Rebecca what's gotten into you?" Megami questioned, trying and failing to push away from her. "An' why can't I free myself from you?"
"You seriously don't have a clue, do you?" Shiki questioned, just standing there, looking at Megami in shock.
"About what?" Megami asked, as she managed to slip free of Rebecca's grasp.
Rebecca just grabbed her B-Cube and snapped a picture of Megami, before projecting it to show her what they were talking about.
"What the? What happened to me?" Megami questioned, looking herself up and down.
"Beats me. I don't think anyone's ever seen anything like this happen to them." Rebecca said. "We should be lucky she didn't regress in age any further then this."
"How old do you think she is right now anyway?" Happy asked.
"She looks around the age of six, maybe eight." Rebecca analyzed.
"What do you think would have happened if she'd regressed any further?" Shiki asked.
"I…" Rebecca paused as the mental image of her with a pregnant belly came to the forefront of her mind. "I don't wanna talk about it." She said with a blush.
"Well whatever the case, I can't go living my life like this. It was hard enough fighting the Frieza Force when I was my normal age, but now it's gonna be nearly impossible to defend myself if we're attacked by them again." Megami said, tying her Gi belt around her waist, turning her Gi top into a makeshift robe. "We have to try and revers this."
"We don't know where to even start looking to reverse something like this." Shiki stated.
"But Professor Weisz might." Rebecca said.
"Then let's get going." Megami said, grabbing Rebecca's hand.
"Megami?"
"I'm a kid again, I don't wanna get left behind because I have little legs."
"So cute." Rebecca cooed, fighting the urge to pull her in for a hug again.
"Okay, so first thing's first. We need to get her a change of clothes, preferably spandex in case she changes back to her normal self out of nowhere." Happy said.
"Right." Shiki agreed, before heading to the ship. "First, I gotta fix this."
Putting his hands on the ship, Shiki used his Ether Gear to make the weight of the ship, resistant to gravity, and easily lifted it off the ground, before setting it down on its landing gear.
"Alright, good to go." Shiki smiled, following Rebecca and Happy to the entrance.
"Will we even find a store that sells spandex?" Megami questioned, walking with them.
"We should. Come on, let's get into town where it's safe." Rebecca said.
"I'm guessing the raining rocks is why it's safer in the town?" Megami asked.
"Yep. All these rocks you see falling and already merging with the ground, they're all Earth Ether crystals." Rebecca explained.
"Wow, so cool." Megami smiled.
"They're not just rocks?" Shiki asked.
"Not quite. This planet has a lot of Earth Ether. The earth element in the atmosphere crystallizes in the sky, and falls to the ground." Rebecca stated. "After they fall, they eventually become part of the earth again. It's almost like one big cycle."
"Would that explain why that crystal over there, is much shorter then the others?" Megami asked.
"Yep, it probably fell a long time ago. It usually takes a couple years for the crystals to sink back into the ground." Rebecca stated.
"Earth crystals, Ether, yeah I get it." Shiki said.
"3…2…1…" Megami counted down.
"Wait, just what the heck is Ether?" Shiki questioned.
"I explained this back on Blue Garden." Megami stated. "Come on, let's go already."
"Right." Rebecca sighed. "Come on Shiki, I'll explain it on the way to the Professor's lab."
"How can the people survive on the surface with all this going on anyway?" Shiki questioned.
"I doubt that's the situation Shiki." Megami said as they reached a set of gates.
"She's right." Rebecca said as they took an elevator down, revealing the city bellow the surface. "The truth of the matter is, the surface is inhospitable for anyone to live on. That's why they built their nation underground instead."
"Whoa, look at all the humans underground." Shiki said.
"This place is so big. I wanna explore everything." Megami said with excitement.
"Even her mind has gone back to being a child's." Happy said.
"No doubt about it." Rebecca chuckled as they stepped out.
"Look at me, I'm underground now too." Shiki said.
"Me too." Megami cheered. "We're all underground."
"Hey, there's no bugs around here, are there?" Shiki questioned in a bit of a panic, as if just realizing something important.
"You mean like this bug?" Megami snickered, holding a caterpillar up to Shiki.
"A bug." Shiki cried out, hiding behind Rebecca, but eventually began running in a circle with Megami chasing him while still holding the bug.
"That's enough you two, let's go." Rebecca said, grabbing Megami by her shirt and making her drop the bug.
"Aw." Megami pouted as they walked down the street.
The party of four made their way through the streets, stopping at a clothing store for Megami before anything else; once they had a new wardrobe for the girl, consisting of a spandex shorts, sandals, and a muscle shirt with a rabbit on the front, they began making their way to Professor Weisz's workshop, and with Rebecca and Happy leading the way, while Rebecca carried Megami on her shoulders, they made it there in no time at all.
"Time to go see the Professor." Megami said with a smile, before opening the doors.
Inside, it was dead. There was no one home, and Megami was pretty sure she just saw a rat scuttle on by, trying to find a hiding place from them.
"Professor?" Happy called out.
"Anybody home?" Rebecca asked.
"I don't think anyone's home." Megami said, not sensing any Ki.
"He hasn't opened our E-Mail yet." Happy said.
"Uh Professor Weisz, it's me Rebecca." She called out, walking through the entrance, with Shiki looking around.
"Professor." Happy called out, as Shiki found something.
"What are you doing Shiki?" Megami asked.
"Check it out." Shiki smiled, turning to show her the goggles he had on.
"Professor? You here?" Happy called out again, before Shiki raised the goggles. "It looks like he's not home."
Shiki just looked at Happy, before turning to look at Rebecca with the goggles over his eyes again.
"I wonder if something happened to him." Rebecca pondered, before turning to Shiki. "Hey Shiki."
"Hey creeper, what's with the blush?" Megami asked, looking suspicious of him.
"Do you even know what those do, they could be dangerous." Rebecca said, reaching out to take the goggles.
"Rebecca we've got company." Megami said, turning to look back at the door.
"Don't move."
Rebecca stopped from trying to take the goggles from Shiki, as they all turned to see who had told them not to move, and saw a young man with blonde hair, wearing a trenchcoat, walking towards them, with a gun pointed in their direction, with a briefcase in one hand.
"Who are you?" Rebecca asked.
"I could ask you the same thing." The man said, stepping closer to them. "What the hell do you think you're doing in my house?"
"Wait, what do you mean your house? This is the home of Professor Weisz." Rebecca said, as Megami took the goggles from Shiki.
"I knew it, you are a creeper." Megami said, after looking in the goggles and hitting Shiki upside the head. "You used these to look at Rebecca while naked, didn't you?"
"Did you say professor?" The man asked, pulling back the hammer on the gun.
"Yeah, Professor Weisz Steiner." Happy said. "We came in here a few years back, and he was able to save my life."
"My name, is Weisz Steiner." The man said, revealing his identity. "An' I've never seen either of you, in my life."
