The Amazon jungle, known as the lung of the planet, that vast set of vegetation that is home to a large amount of wild and exotic fauna, including species that, unfortunately, are in danger of extinction.
One of these species is one of the most popular, nothing more and nothing less, than the Spix Macaws, or Blue Macaws, which, due to the few specimens in freedom that were in the world, many of them took refuge in the hidden areas of the jungle, forming a community where they could feel safe.
Although very occasionally, one or another member of this tribe used to go out of bounds to explore the area, this is the case of a group of 3 Macaws that were flying around, two Spix and one Hyacinth, who upon reaching a rocky area without much vegetation, they ended up carefully landing there.
—Okay, Bia, why did you bring us here?— asked one of the Spix, this was a male with dark blue feathers, having parts of his head, tail and wings dyed black, in addition to his eyes being light blue.
—I already told you, I found something you should see— said the other, this was a female with light feathers and brown eyes, she was carrying a fanny pack, which she used to store some things, taking out a small notebook, opening it and seeing a small drawing that she made herself, being that of a couple of purple flowers, as well as some text describing what they were like beyond color.
—Don't you think we're a bit far from the tribe?— asked the female Jacinto who accompanied them, having dark blue feathers combined with yellow markings, added to beautiful sky blue eyes.
—Yes, Paula, I know, but you have to believe me when I tell you that this is important— Bia replied walking around the place, after a few seconds she approached a cave that was nearby, she was the only one who entered at first , leaving the other two outside, but soon they entered too.
—Ok, this place is a bit scary if I'm honest— answered the boy walking through the place, staying close to Bia, and having the other female hugged her wing.
—Don't worry, Gerardo, in the same way, it seems that we are here— replied Bia stopping halfway, followed by that she opened her fanny pack and took out a flashlight from there, shining directly on some flowers that were planted in the background, on the ground floor and fed with the humidity of the place. —We arrived, that's what I wanted to show you~—
—Huh?— Paula peeks out, just looking at the purple flowers there. —Seriously? Did you bring us here just for some flowers?—
—They are not normal flowers, I did some research and they are not in my botany book, so, I am in charge of studying it myself, I think... it is a new species— Bia said approaching them, from his fanny pack I take out a couple of tree leaves, which he used to make a small pot, he filled it with soil from the place and finally, he proceeded to remove the flowers from there, being very careful not to break their roots, and thus be able to move them carefully to their improvised pot.
—And what will you do with them? Are you going to give them to your mom for her birthday?— Paula asked just tilting her head.
—Well, they are plants that I have never seen before in my life, I don't know if they are normal plants, poisonous or have healing properties, so as a Biologist, it is my duty to study the plant and find out what use I can give it— Bia said with some pride, showing the flowers he had acquired.
—If you say so— Gerardo replied curtly. —For now, it will be better to go, it seems that it is getting dark—
—Yes, it would be the best— answered Bia leaving the cave, still carrying her plant on wings, she just placed it carefully on the ground, so as to take it with her claws and start flying with it without any inconvenience, this while Gerardo and Paula started to fly too, going with Bia back to the Spix tribe...
