Static groan as the world around him finally stop spinning and light was turning to his eye's, after that shadow thing had grabbed him he saw nothing but darkness and felt like he was spinning until now. getting to his feet Static moan a little bit before looking around.
"What was that ride, the twilight express... and talk about your last stop." Static muse looking around at the old broken down underground rail station he was now in, "It serves our needs quite well." Static quickly reach for the power rod in his coat when he heard the same voice from before, he been caught off guard once already, it wouldn't happen again. Suddenly a dark wormhole open up on a wall in front of and a man who seem to be made of nothing but shadows came out with a gray vest jacket on.
"Call me Ebon, Master of Shadow and Darkness." Ebon said as Static pull out a silver rod from his coat and held at his side, he didn't know what it was but could guess it was some kind of weapon.
"Not very modest are you?" Static ask backing away from the wall, Batman had taught him a few things about tactic's, one being how a single meeting from an enemy he haven't engage before can tell you enough about their skill sit, it was already clear he needed to be near a flat surface to do that move through shadow thing of his, Static was willing to bet that as long as he stay away from the wall and kept an eye on his feet he'd be safe.
"No time for modest hero, I believe you met my partners, Talon." he said looking up to see the bird girl from before kneeing on a broken train, she look at Static for a moment and flew down next to Ebon.
"We're already bumped into each other." Static mere look at the girl with raise eye brow as she held his disk and flick it back to him which he caught with his free hand, "Great I found Hawkgirls little sister." Static said under his breath, "Then there's Shiv." suddenly the guy with purple hair jump down on the train next and threw three energy star at him, Static eye's glowed and electric blast shot out of them and blasted them.
"Damn and here I wanted to see if you could dance a bit... hehehe!" Static frown at his insane laughter and gripped his power rod tighter.
"Shiv makes light energy weapons, the sharper the better." Ebon explain as Static hands cackle with power at seeing Shiv aiming more of his energy weapons at him.
"Right, until you find the missing screws for that guy's head, I don't think we'll be getting along." Static state about ready to blast the guy.
"Ease there hero, no need for that. Come meet my last three member's, their a lot nicer." he said as three more people walk in, one was the energy guy from before, another a girl wearing a yellow tank top and brown pants, her skin was a grey-metal color, and her hair wire-like and color a dull brown. The Last one look the youngest, a girl cover in a heavy clothing like it was going to show or something, She had white hair and pupil-less pure blue eye's.
"First up is our powerhouse D-Struct, a man made of pure ionic energy, he a bit on the quite it side though." Ebon said and while Static couldn't really make out his express since his face was nothing but a mass of energy, however he got the feeling he wasn't in a happy mood.
"Next is-" "I can talk for myself Ebon!" the grey skin girl said cutting him off, "Name Nails got a body of steel and I'm strong and durable." Nail stated before showing him her hand and making her nail's longer.
"I can also lengthen and retract my fingernails, and shoot them as projectiles." Nail added before looking down at the younger girl and putting a arm around her.
"This is Permafrost she pretty shy but can manipulate, and is impervious to cold as well as generate waves of freezing energy that created ice." Nail said, Static was quick to notice how the girl seem to move as close to Nails as possible, it was as if she just wanted to runaway and hide.
"I see, quit the group you've got here, you've been busy." Static said and he could tell Ebon was smirking.
"It been nearly four months since the big bang, I've had pretty of time to look for friends." Ebon replied, (Something tells me this guy really means pawn.) Static thought, relaxing just a bit since it seem like they didn't want to fight for now, but he didn't like this, he didn't like this at all.
"Now the Meta-Breed is ready to take the world by storm!" Ebon declared causing Static to roll his eye, (Someone's a little full of himself.) Static thought dryly.
"Nice, so here the million dollar question, why am I here?" Static ask as Ebon walk up to him and stop just a few feet away, "I want you to join us hero." Static simply raise an eye brow at the bold request.
"Your kidding, right? You want to join your little side show here, yeah right." Static's words seem to strike a nerve in quite a few of them, none more so then Talon who jump in front of him.
"Side show!? What you think just because your a part of the Justice League and that gas didn't mess up your face your better then us!?" Talon snarl reaching out to claw Static face but he quickly grab her arm as they glare at one another. However Static suddenly soften at realizing from her face comment she likely resented her appearance.
"Quite lying to yourself, your just as much of a freak as we are!" Talon shouted at Static causing his eye's to narrow, "I. Am. Not. A. Freak! And neither are you!" Static stated firmly getting a look of surprise from Talon at his words as he let her go.
"Let everyone calm down." Ebon said pulling Talon back and look Static in eye's, "Look hero, a new age is coming, the Meta-breed age! With your connections we can do so much more then we could without you." Ebon stated, Static merely look at him.
"My connections?" Static ask having a pretty good idea what he meant.
"The Watch Tower your Justice League is using as a club house, that type of tech isn't something that come ease... or free." Ebon spoke, Static just kept looking at him but said nothing, however he did notice how Talon Shiv, D-struct, and Nail had came up behind him. Static tilted his head at them to give them a small glance before turning back to Ebon.
"Lets skip the drama build up bit okay, what do you want?" Static ask now on guard once more.
"Join us Hero, with our powers and your connections, we could rule Dakota, maybe even the world one day." Ebon said and Static tilted his head to the side.
"And the whole matter about me being in the Justice League?" Static ask trying to make him see there was no way he would do that, however if Static didn't know any better he could swear Ebon was smirking once again.
"Their trust in you could help in dealing with them ease enough." Ebon's words seem to have stuck a nerve in Static, he wanted very much to blast him here and now but the there was the matter of him being completely out number at the moment. Faster then they could act Static drop to one knee slamming his hand on the ground before blasting said ground sending himself in the air much to their surprise as he quickly charge disk in mid air and place his feet on top of it.
"Thanks but I think I'll pass." Static said then flew out of there at speed none of them thought he could move.
"Well that went about just as I thought it would, what now, boss?" Nail's ask sarcastically, Ebon didn't answer, his eye narrowing at the fleeing Hero.
Jump city
In the sums distract a warehouse exploded as two figure's burst out of the flame a landing on the ground seemingly unharmed.
"Ya know, I think that went rather well don't you Nightwing?" a young auburn hair man with blue eyes and a tall in stature wearing a suit that is was predominantly black, with a red chest, collar. A quiver is attached with two gray shoulder straps connected across the chest, and black gloves fingerless.
"Not now Red Arrow, their coming!" Nightwing growl wearing a black unitard, black shoulder pads, boots and gloves. The chest area of his uniform is emblazoned with a blue bird with its wings expanded and his abdomen area is coloured in a lighter grey.
"You really need to give it up night man!" a voice said from with in the flaming building.
"Yeah our sister is never going to side with you again!" another one added causing Nightwing's eye to narrow at the two figures walking out of the flames. One was wearing blue jeans with a white shirt and a leather jacket one braids and four glowing red eyes, the second one was wearing a blue one piece with short hair and also had four glowing red eyes.
"Lust and Wrath." Nightwing said bitterly and the short hair one smirk.
"Please called me Jesse, after all you were so close to our sister it fine if we call one another by name. Right Richard!?" both tense at the flame that came to his hands.
"We need to get out of here." Red Arrow said urgently as both Lust and Wrath, however a yellow energy blast shot down at the ground and from of them knocking the two demons back, Nightwing and red Arrow look up and and smile dryly at seeing a red ship hovering them and a flash of light surrounded them and they disappear, turning in the air the red ship flew off as a lone figure stood on top of the burning roof of the warehouse and narrow it four eyes that the fleeing ship.
Inside the ship Nightwing and Red Arrow sigh as they sat into one of the many seats, at the drivers seat a young lady with silver like light gray skin and spiked, black hair with red bangs. She is dress in strapless top and a red skirt with black stripes. She also wears long, black sleeves and black boots a small 'A' tattoo on her chest, and her eyes are red with black pupils.
"Well I take it everything went swimmingly?" she ask sarcastically knowing full well that was not the case.
"Ya know Argent, you'd think our little dark princess might have had the decency to tell us she had brothers to began with." Red Arrow mutter and Nightwing sigh.
"I don't think she even knew herself, I mean it not like she hangs out with anyone in her family other then her mother." Nightwing stated, it was quit for a moment as let their latest failure sink in.
"What are we going to Nightwing, the new moon is coming up soon. We're running out of time." Argent said.
"She right, we're running out of time and options, it might be time to pack it in and put her down for good." Red arrow added.
"NO! We still have time, until I'm sure there no other way I'm not sealing her way." Nightwing stated firmly, nothing else was said as they flew off into the sky.
Next Day
"You have got to be kidding me!" Madelyn said in surprise as Virgil recounted last night to her as they ate out at a Italian restaurants called, La Scarola, the two had gotten out of school for the day and were eating in the back corner so no one could hearing them as they talk .
"They actually tried to get you to join their little group and take the down Justice League!?" She ask with her mouth widen open at such stupidity.
"Yep, pretty much." Virgil said with a bore look eating calamari and pasta fagioli.
"And we are talking about the same Justice League your part of right, the one with Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern, right?" Madelyn ask once more, having yet to touch the Minestrone Soup and Asparagus Salad, Virgil nodded drinking ice tea, at this point Madelyn sigh and roll her eye's.
"Well in some ways, this level of foolishness is impressive. So what do you plan on doing about them?" Madelyn said and Virgil drop his chin into his taking on a expression of dismay.
"I don't know, honestly I'm not all that sure I want to fight them." Virgil replied causing Madelyn to raise an eye brow.
"Well it just, some of them didn't seem like they wanted to even be there, that kid Permafrost look she just wanted to find a place to hide. Not to mention the vibes I got from Nails made me think she wasn't to happy working under Ebon at all."
"So Mr. Master of Shadow and Darkness doesn't have full control of his group. You can use that to your advantage." Madelyn stated.
"Yeah, I think a few words with Superman is in order, I think I know how to help some of them but the others..." Virgil trail off.
"They have to want to be helped, if not then take em out." Madelyn said flatly, Virgil sigh knowing she was right.
"Anyway on to another matter, our friends are starting to wonder what your doing with all your time that you can't hang with them any more." Madelyn said and Virgil groan.
"Great, it not like I can tell them I'm busy fighting bad guys and duking out with aliens both on this world and other ones." Virgil mumble.
"Yeah, but this weekend you should be free right? Frieda throwing a party at her house." Madelyn said and Virgil nodded.
"Nice, if nothing big shows up maybe I can cut patrol early and drop by." Virgil replied and she smile but then sigh at knowing she had to added one more matter to his long list of things to do.
"By the way, I know you got a lot on your plate now but our star track athlete, Derek Barnett has been missing for a few days. You might want to look into that when you get a chance."
"Great! Ya know Frieda's party not sounding so bad." Virgil mutter, Madelyn laugh at hearing this.
"Well you have been working a lot, a little down time will do you some good... after you take care of this whole Meta-breed thing of course." she stated and he gave a mock bow. "Yes ma'am, what ever you say." Madelyn hit him on the arm lightly for that and they both laugh.
"Anyway I'd better get ready for me shift at the old folks home So I'll have to grab a to go tray." Madelyn said Virgil roll his eyes at hearing that.
"First your job at the comic book store then you went to helping out at the homeless shelter and now your going to the old folks home? Add in school and your going to wear yourself out." Virgil stated and she smile.
"Relax, it not like I'm doing everything on the same down, beside I can handle it." Madelyn replied then take out a black taser, "And thanks to this I won't need my powers if I get into any trouble.." she added holding the second taser Virgil made for her.
"If you say so, just don't over work yourself." Virgil said and Madelyn smile, "Thanks you too." she said getting up to leave, Virgil watch her go and couldn't help but think how lucky he was to have her at his side. Later on, after patrolling for a hour to clear his thoughts found himself in Metropolis. he needed advice on how should go about dealing with the Meta-breed.
Batman had come to mind but Static found Batmans controlling ways more then a bit off putting as appose to Superman who at least would let him try to deal with it on his own before stepping in, the man of steel was also a lot easier to talk to and unlike Batman knew he wouldn't be the first to jump to throwing them in jail.
Now the only problem was finding him, he could have gone up to the Watchtower to find out where he was but ran into the problem of Batman being on monitor duty and didn't want him asking questions on why he needed to find the big guy so he just came to Metropolis himself to look for him by hand but was having no luck.
(You'd think a guy flying around in a red cape and blue outfit would be ease to spot but surprisingly he not.) Static thought sourly at this rate he was have to chance it and head to the Watchtower, 'BABAOOOOOOOM' Static was knock out of his thought when a building exploded a few block from him.
"And here we go..." Static mutter flying to the sight, a man made of steel with half his face covered in what look like human skin smash his way out of a jeweler store holding to two large sacks in each hand.
"Not the Man of Steel I was look but at least I get to crack some heads." Static mutter slowly heading down there.
"Ah, things are so much easier with Superman busy with his new club house." the robot man laugh, "Hey, your that Metallo dude I've seen duking it out with the big guy." looking up he none other then Static slowly hovering down to him.
"And you must be one of Superman's new playmate." Metallo said seeing the teen superhero land right in front of him, "Must be my lucky day, I come here looking for Superman and what do I find? A Kryptonite powered robot." Static mutter eyeing the green rock showing in his chest with distaste. He knew what that staff did to Superman and in recent years it been proven that it had long term effects on humans.
"Tell me boy, I've brought Superman to his knee's before, do you really think you stand a chance against me." Metallo asked placing his sacks on the ground and putting his hands on his hips. Static look at him and smirk.
"Yeah, cause one I ain't a Kryptonian so that green crap don't work on me and two..." Static said getting a frown from the metal man at the insult to his power supple, he was then alarm when Static blasted a beam of electricity at him, however Metallo smirk letting it hit him thinking no harm would come but found much to his surprise he couldn't move.
"and two, I have a fine amount of control of all kinds of metal, including the metal alloy known as Metallo, so why don't you stay put there for a moment." Static said in a cocky tone getting a growl from the robot man.
"You damn brat! Let me go and fight like a man!" he howled, Static however just roll his eye's at the robot, "This coming from the guy who not even human, oh well sure, but let me hold onto the glow stone for ya." he replied using his electric power to pull the Kryptonite from his body.
"NO!" He cried out in vain. He could feel the power draining from him, his limbs were getting harder to move and his systems were shutting down one by one, he tried to reroute power to his back supply but it was too late.
"Wow so this stuff really was powering him, that cool." Static said impress with his ease win, "Damn, with how ease you just finish him off, you made me look like a rookie." Static was startled at hearing that voice and look up only for his jaw to drop at who was above, (Okay, not the Kryptonian I was looking for... but I'm not complaining.) Static thought, red cape, white shirt with a red pentagon in the center and a 'S' in the middle of the pentagon with a blue skirt to top everything off... Static was looking at none other then Supergirl.
"...Hi?" Static mumble dumbfounded much to her amusement. "Hello, I'd come down there to thank you for taking that jerk out but can you do something about the pretty green rock first?" Supergirl ask, when she had spotted Metallo robbing the jeweler store she hang back to think of a way to deal with him, Supergirl had already went a round with the cyborg and didn't want to go through the hassle of being weaken because of the Kryptonite in his chest. She was surprise when Static showed up and dealt with him faster then her and her cousin ever had but none the less was happy it was finish without anyone getting hurt.
"Ah umm sure, just give me a minute." Static replied focusing him electric powers on the Kryptonite super charge it into it turn black and cackle apart and into black burnt dust.
"Well damn, that was ease." Supergirl grinned lowering herself to him, Static gulp when she landed right in front of him.
"Man seeing you beat him in less then a minute and destroying that chuck of Kryptonite without breaking a sweat doesn't do wonders for my pride, you know." she joke and Static laugh nervously and scratch the back of his head.
"Yeah well I just had the upper hand in terms of abilities." Static said sheepishly, "So your Static, I heard so much about you from my cousin but what are you doing in Metropolis?" she ask while on the inside Supergirl was rather happy to finally meet the only guy in the Justice league that was close to her age.
"Umm well I was actually looking for your cousin, seen him around cause recently, cause I haven't." Static said and she raise an eye brow.
"He was just around the city a few minute's ago... can't you just use your Watch Tower to find him?" she ask a bit miff she wasn't allow to go up there herself.
"I would but, Batman's on monitor duty right... so yeah." He replied with a mutter and Supergirl understood right away, "Oh that make's since, met him a few times, you think he's as creepy as I do?"
"Oh yeah, and his controlling personalty a joy to deal with as well." Static added with a huff but before he could go on speaking his com-link, "Hold on for a minute." Static pressing to fingers to his ear, he listen for a moment then a frown came over his face.
"Great, I got to head back to Dakota, the reason why I've looking for the big guy might have just rob a Sports shop doing it's money transport!" Supergirl could tell Static was not happy about this at all.
"Looks like I'm heading home for now." Static mutter with a sigh floating off the ground but then pause when Supergirl appear above him, "Hey hold on, since you help me out here why don't I head off with ya?" Static raise an eye brow at the offer for help from the girl of steel.
"You want to come to Dakota to help fight some baddies? Sure I could use the help and a Kryptonian is just what doctor order." Static said and Supergirl grinned, she had been wanting to get out of Metropolis for a while now plus it be nice to hang out with someone her own age.
"Glad to hear it, but I'm not a Kryptonian. I'm an Argoan." she said getting a confuse look from Static, "It a long story for later." Supergirl said to his question look, Static shrug not seeing it as important at the moment and flew off with Supergirl right behind him. Some time later in Dakota Chief Barnsdale sigh as he look at the damage at the Sports shop.
"Damn Big Baby's!" Barnsdale mutter, he had been having a hard time cracking down crime in Dakota after the Big Bang changed many of the city's inhabitants.
"Any clues on where they went?" he ask Officer Rojas.
"No, hard to leave behind clues when your jumping into shadows." Rojas replied and Barnsdale groan in dismay, "Great, where the hell is Static when you need him!" Barnsdales mutter.
"Did someone call for a hero!?" Barnsdales was startled by that and look up to see Static hovering above with a surprising guest with him, "Cause if ya did then it your lucky day." Static said grinning as he and Supergirl landed right in front of him.
"You get two for the price off one." Barnsdale couldn't help but chuckle at Dakota's premiere hero though it was a surprise to she him with the Girl of Steel herself.
"Great to hear, and I like your new girlfriend." Barnsdale smirk at how Static's face went bright red and Supergirl give the her knew friend a rather coy smile, "Girl friend huh." she said causing Static face to twitch.
"Funny, so what happen here?" Static ask changing the subject, Barnsdale's smirk fall and quickly got back to the matter at hand.
"Right, well the Sports shop here was attack doing a money transfer, the place is a mess, we got half a dozen people injured and we have no clue where they went." Barnsdale stated and Static suddenly gain a rather tire expression.
"Let guess the one leading the attack was a guy made of shadows, a bird girl, a wack job with purple hair, and a big guy made of energy." Barnsdale's eye narrow at his on point description.
"Yeah, how do you know all of that." Barnsdale asked.
"Have an inquiring mind, and a pretty good idea where their at." Static replied then turn to smirk at Supergirl, "Come on steel girl, let go catch us some bad guys." Static said and she grinned back.
"Sound like a plan, better have some cells ready for when we come back, Chief." Supergirl chuckle, Barnsdale's wanted question them more but the two flew off before he could say anything.
"Damn super power teenagers." Barnsdale mutter.
Milestone Street Station hideout, where Ebon, Talon and Shiv were celebrated their first big hit while off to the side D-Struct sat not joining the others to celebrate the successful heist. Instead, he just sat, thinking about the people who got hurt doing the robber and felt incredibly guilty about it.
"Hey man, you look like your having fun." looking up he spotted Nails standing next to him, (I guess she just finish making sure Permafrost is sound a sleep.) D-Struct thought.
"Hey, just thinking back your attack from earlier, I hope the people we hurt are okay." D-Struct said as Nail take a seat next to him.
"So do I... Ebon is such a moron, he only just putting a big red target on our backs, it only a matter of time before Static comes looking for us ya know." Nails spat, she didn't like Ebon at all, if it wasn't for how she look she'd have never agreed to work with him.
"I know, alone we can take him with our numbers but he bring in the rest of the Justice League..." D-Struct trail off as Nails gulp, she didn't like the idea of facing someone like Superman or Batman, she didn't like it at all.
"Hey, if it comes to that, I'm taking Permafrost and making a run for it. Want to tag along?" Nails ask, she and Permafrost had always gotten along with D-Struct and he clearly didn't like any of Ebon's plan so if they needed to make a quick get away it be nice if he came along.
"I don't know, I mean at least you and Permafrost can still pass for human with the right sitting but I don't think there anyway but here for me to go." D-Struct mutter looking down and Nails smile at him.
"That way we should stick together, if it the three of us I'm sure we can-"
"Yo what are you two doing all the way over there, come join us." Talon called cutting Nails off, Nails look at them an annoyance.
"Yeah this is a time of celebration, it may be small but this is our first step towards making Dakota ours." Ebon said holding up a soda in a toast, "No freaking way!" a voice called out startling all of them, looking up they were surprise to see Static hovering down... with Supergirl by his side.
"You have got to be kidding me, and to think I had so much hope for you guys." Static sigh looking down and shaking his head in disappointment as Supergirl grinned at him.
"On the plus side you owe me a drink." the girl of steel chuckle as Ebon and his crew jump to their feet, (Supergirl!? He brought in Supergirl!? And some ways she even worst then Superman!) Nails thought having read the new and knew that unlike Superman Supergirl had a habits off not holding back with her strength.
"We need to get out of here now." Nails said urgently and D-Struct just nodded no longer wanting to stick around and both of them began backing away, "I can't believe you guys stuck around at the hide you take me too, I mean when I made that bet with Supergirl that you'd no longer be here, I was sure you'd be smart enough to change place." Static groan.
"What can I say, villains are stupid." Supergirl giggle getting snarls from Ebon, Talon and Shiv, "What are you doing here hero?" Ebon demanded, Static cross his arms and glared at Ebon.
"Why am I here? Clearly to take you guy in for the mess you made at that sports shop." Static answer as his eye glowed white with power.
"Yep so are you going to come quietly, or are we going to do this the hard way?" Supergirl asked cracking her knuckles as she already knew the answer, "You take a guess superbrat!" Shiv shouted jumping in front of Ebon and Talon throwing several energy throwing stars at Supergirl who smirk as they hit her and bounce off her skin harmlessly making his jaw drop in stupefaction.
"Man you suck, my turn!" Static said holding his fist out and blasting Shiv right in the chest and sending sent him flying, "AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Talon scream sent a sonic wave that the two that skiing back a few feet and Talon to this chance to fly up high.
"Oh geese's the girl got a voice that sound like fingers on a chalk broad!" Supergirl grunted before taking flight after Talon, Ebon seeing a opening stretch his arm out and punch Static in the back, knocking him to the ground.
"Your gonna regret not joining me when you had the chance hero!" Ebon growl jump in front of him as Static shake off the sneak attack, "Sure I am!" Static pulling out his power pole and blasting right in the gut with it, Ebon grunted in pain before melting into the shadow, up high Talon was doing everything she could to outmaneuver Supergirl but found much to her dismay Supergirl was not only faster then her but also had better control over her flight abilities in the air then she did!
"Gotcha!" Supergirl grinned at grabbing Talon by the arm, before she could react Supergirl place her fist right in front of her forehead and pop the bird girl three times in the head with a finger flick knocking her out.
"Night, night, little birdy." Supergirl smirk catching Talon in her arms and landed next to Static who was looking around for Eon, "Well, I got mine, where yours?" she asked sitting Talon down, a pair of shadow like fist shoot up out of the ground hitting them both in the jaw!
"Son of a-" Static growl holding his jaw as Supergirl's eyes turn red.
"Oh there he is!" she mutter firing her het vision at the arms but they quickly vanish, "Try again superbitch!" Ebon said appearing out the shadows behind them, both turn with anger on their face's. Static made a ball of electric energy in his hand and fire it at Ebon but his shadow like body bend out of the way, Supergirl trying shooting him down with several quick shots of heat vision but he dodge out of the way of each beam like a snake.
"You two can keep at all day but you'll never hit me!" Ebon declared, "Oh yeah, well try dodging this!" Supergirl shouted inhaling deeply and blowing out a powerful icy breath that froze him faster then he could react freezing him in a block of ice.
"Ouch, brain freeze." Static winch before charging up another ball of electricity and firing it at Ebon blasting it apart and blaze of light and sending Ebon flying into one of the broken down trains knocking him out.
"You just had to say it." Supergirl moan at the lame one liner but then notice something off, "Hey aren't we missing two?" she asked and it was just now Static notice D-Struct and Nails were no longer around and slap his head in annoyance. "Well that just great, three down and three to go."
At the old folks home Madelyn was finishing up sighing out for the night, she like working at the home since it not only look good having in her background but also a few of the Elderly had some good advice for her when it came to entering politics some day.
"Hey Maddy, heading home for the night?" Turning around she saw Morris Grant, one of occupants staying there, "Yes Mister Grant, got schooling to deal with in the morning." she replied throwing her hand bag on her shoulder.
"Well you becareful, streets are dangerous at night and I'd hate to see something happen to good kid like yourself." He said with wave, Madelyn simply smile and walk away. In another part of the building a old man name Dennis walked into one of the rooms she clean and raised a eye brow at seeing something on a nightstand.
"One of the brats working here forgot their taser." Dennis mutter picking it up then frowned when he notice some of the edges had bending in it, (Someone had open this thing up.) he thought grabbing it and I th a hard pull snap it open. Dennis eyes widen at seeing the red crystal shard lying in the center.
