Several hours, that's how long Supergirl have been searching, and she was starting to get annoyed with having found nothing, her x-ray vision had flashed over all panels but still nothing seemed out of place.
When she offered to help she thought it'd be a quick sweep until they found something out of place, however just as she was ready to throw in the towel while sweeping across a nearby wall she noticed something odd. A small device that didn't seem to be connected to anything, and was beeping. Supergirl smirk at the radio waves that was letting off, they were the kind of waves that block all outside signals... and more impotently, stop radio waves from going out.
"I found something." she said walking over to the wall and jamming her fist in the metal hall, ripping out a small device. Sonia frown at the damage she cause, not looking forward to putting that in the report.
"At least she wearing gloves." Sonia mutter pulling open an evident's bag as Supergirl take a closer look at it with her telescope vision, "It got Lex Corps Logo all over it." Supergirl mutter as the Agent held open the bag in front of her.
"I wouldn't be surprise if Luthor had his hand into this type of sick shit like human tracking." Sonia said as Supergirl drop the jamming device into the bag.
"To bad all this will do is reveal it came from Lex Corp, he'll just bring in some high price lawyer to say it was stolen and get off scoot free." Sonia stated bitterly, Supergirl scowl at that.
"Just great, I swear, one day that man going to- AAAGGGGHHHHHH!" she suddenly cried covering her ears, "Supergirl! What wrong!?" Sonia exclaimed at seeing the girl of steel in pain, unknown to her a ear splitting screech that only Supergirl could hear, (It Jimmy's stupid watch again!) she cried, she understood the importants of it but god did she hate the sound it made so much. Using her telescope vision she quickly followed where the noise was coming from and pointed her site all the way to Metropolis but was surprise to see Superman standing next to Jimmy who was staring right back at her.
"Superman?" she question and was thankful when the watch was turn off, "What going on?' Sonia ask as Supergirl seem to be staring blankly at a wall, "Superman contacting me, wait just a second." Supergirl said staring at his lips, she still needed a lot of work on focusing her super hearing but knew how to read lips, deciphering what he was saying cause her eye's widen.
"Static been what!?" Supergirl gasp, "Uh, huh, uh huh, I see. So you guys are busy and want me to look for him?" Sonia couldn't help but feel a bit awkward at seeing the girl seemingly speaking to herself, she knew Supergirl had super hearing and sigh, from what she saw she was using it to talk with Superman. Not knowing what was going on really annoyed her, it was one of the things she miss about Gotham, she didn't have to deal with super powered people on such a massive level, sure there was Bane who she had fought but even he couldn't hold a candle to people like the Super's of Metropolis.
"Right, leave everything to me. I'll find him." Supergirl said, having finish her conversation.
"So what the deal?" Sonia asked as Supergirl pounded her fist together.
"Seems like Static has gone and got himself in some trouble." Supergirl stated turning to the Agent.
"Sorry but I'll have to leave everything else to you now." Supergirl said and Sonia nodded, "That fine you've help out more then enough, go find your friend." Supergirl smile grateful then vanish in a burst of super speed. Seeing her gone she sigh before looking at the jamming device in the evident's bag. "Well I've got my own work to do."
Grogginess in pain was the first thing Static felt as he came back into consciousness rubbing his forehead he felt one of the worst headaches he'd ever had in his entire life.
"What was the last thing I was doing?" he muttered as he thought back to the events that happened not too long ago his eyes not open as he realize he had been knocked out and possibly kidnapped. Sitting up to check your surroundings was a decision he quickly regretted as his headache intensified.
"Easy there kid I've knocked you out a little harder than I intended." Someone said looking up he glared into the face of a masked man wearing an all-black outfit and what looked like a blue bird across his chest extending up to the shoulder.
"Oh really, how about I pay you back with a blast to the face!" Static growled as his hand glowed with electrical energy ready to attack, the masked man quickly held his hands up in a peace like manner hoping to forestall any attacks being done on the Airship Static that clearly had no idea he was on at the moment.
"Easy kids, we're not looking for a fight, it's just that we need your help." This cause Static to pause in his attack looking around him he noticed the other two from before that had first attacked him and it was only now that he realized he was on would look like some kind of jet like vehicle.
Growling, he turned his attention back to the man in front of him who had clearly knocked him out, he has long hair which almost touches his waist. He also has a muscular build and was much taller then Static, his costume is a black jumpsuit with steel bracelets and a utility belt, he also still wears his steel toed boots. the costume also has a symbol of a bird like a hawk, on his torso and it is a dark shade of blue.
"Hey I know you, your Batman's old Sidekick." Static exclaimed, the man's eye twitch at the mention of his former mentor.
"His name Nightwing Love, but Robin back in the day he was call, Boy Wonder too." Static turn to his right to see the gray skinned lady from before waving at him with a smile.
"That is Argent, and he is Red Star." he said pointing to the large Russia sitting several seats away from him.
"Right, is there something I can help you with Nightwing?" Static asked evenly, taking in the situation he was in, he wasn't tie down or chained up, they didn't seem to be hostile, 'if you over look the attack from early' for now he'd listen. Seeing that he was somewhat more calm Nightwing take a deep breath and exhaled.
"I'm sorry about knocking out but things have gotten desperate for us, we really need your help... and I didn't want to take the chance of Batman getting involved." Nightwing stated, Static raised an eye brow at hearing that, raising his index finger to his left ear Static tap it only to now realize his com-piece was missing.
"Hey Night-man, we'll be in Jump city in the next five minutes. You'd better hurry up and get the kid ready." a red haired man call his as he ws piloting the jet.
"Got it." Nightwing replied then turn to Static with narrowed eyes.
"Okay listen, this is what going on, a demonic ritual is taking place. Pardon me if this sounds cliche but a dark Over Lord name Trigon is trying to come to our world and bring hell on Earth." Nightwing told Static who look expression was quite comical.
"What the fuck!?" Static said with his jaw drop open, "And that was my reaction to this whole." Argent grinned.
"Look we have a way to stop it but there a problem." Nightwing said.
"Such as?" Static asked.
"The problem is, Nightwing there never bother to tell anyone that one of his teammates was basically the daughter of the devil!" "Red Arrow!" Nightwing growled in a warning tone.
"Calm down both of you, encase you guys forgot we're running out of time here!" Argent exclaimed, Red Arrow and Nightwing glared at one another for a moment more before turning away.
"Look kid, the one preforming the ritual is a woman who a close friend of mine-ours. Her name is Raven and she doesn't want to do this. Raven has been possessed by her father... who is a powerful Inter-dimensional demon." Nightwing stated and Static could only give him a 'WTF' expression at what he was hearing.
"The only way to stop this and save her is to release her from Trigon's possession and send her brother's back to the Fiery prison dimension they came from... oh yeah she has three brothers that are demons and she a half demon." Static eye just kept twitching at everything he was hearing and he spoke as if none of it was a big deal, (No wonder he didn't want the old Bat to hear any of the this.) Static thought knowing Batman would have blow a gasket.
"Do we... have a way to free her?" Static asked, he had so many other questions on his mind at the moment but from what he could tell they was press for time so for now it was best to keep it short and simply. Nightwing nodded reaching into his utility belt and pulled out a black gemstone necklace.
"This needs to be place around her neck, It a exorcism necklace she gave me back when she was in her right stated of mind, it will purge any evil spirits from her body, It was given to me by her encase this every happen." Nightwing stated.
"Okay now I'm confused, 'not that I already wasn't mind you' but if you have this why not use yourself and why do you need me?" Static asked.
"The reason why we need you is because we can't get close to her, Raven a Empathy, and a very power one at that, if we get anywhere near her she'll know." Nightwing answered.
"Not to mention she can use her powers to go in our heads and mind rape us!" Red Arrow said bitterly, Nightwing glare at him before turning back to Static and was starting to think that by the end of this that 'what the fuck expression' was going to be permanently on his face.
"Yes there that, but from what Batmans file said about you, your immune to and invisible to telepathic abilities. You should be able to get near her without detention." Nightwing explain, but then Statics eye narrowed at him.
"I should be? So you don't know for sure then." Static stated evenly and Nightwing look at him with a blank expression.
"No I don't, If at all possible I rather we didn't have to bring you in but we're at our wits ends here. This is my last gambit, if I can't free her before the ritual completed tonight then I'll have no choice but to seal her away long with her father and brothers."
Nightwing words hit Static pretty hard, not because of what they meant but because of the fact that he wasn't able to keep his stone face expression while saying them, it was clear to Static he cared for her a lot, Nightwing truly didn't want to seal her away.
"Fine I'll help but next time, just ask rather knocking me out, I mean one more blow to the head and my GPA might start to drop." Static joke getting a slightly smile from Nightwing.
"Thanks kid, you have no idea how much this means to me." Nightwing said dropping the gemstone necklace in Statics hand but then a thought hit him.
"Wait if she gave this to you, then won't she know about it and how to stop it?" Static asked but Nightwing shake his head.
"No, Raven always felt this would happen which is why after she gave it to me she removed any and all knowledge she had on it from her own memory's just to be safe." Nightwing stated.
"Wow! She really thought this through huh." Static said with a note of impression in his voice. "In that case let get to it!"
Elsewhere Supergirl had found her way to the site where Static had been attack and was using her thermal vision on the roof top, "Clark had said Static was attack up here, hopefully he was able to fight back and, There!" she gasp at seeing what look like light blue energy signature coming from a small arena of the roof top.
"Most likely sparks from an attack of Static hit the roof here, it was small but even so it was enough to leave behind a energy signature... but it faint and fading." Supergirl mutter driving her hand into the roof and ripping off the portion of it, "I'd better hurry before my only lead fade away." raising off into the sky Supergirl race off, after about ten minutes of flight she finally found her way to Princeton University. Zip lining to a certain laboratory she smirk at seeing the seemingly physically weak and socially awkward nerdy girl typing away at her computer.
"Ya know, you'll never get a boyfriend if you stay lock up here." Supergirl said with a teasing smile at the red haired girl, said girl sigh and look to the girl of Steel fixing her glasses and look with a tire smile. she was wearing a purple dress that came all the way down to her heels and a red long sleeve V-neck with a white button up under it and a red and black strip tie.
"So you keep saying, I'd like to point out that you also don't have a boyfriend but with those siting of you and Static I wonder if that really the case anymore." she said, Supergirl barely held back a blush and groan.
"A guy and girl hang out a bit and suddenly everyone thinks their a thing." Supergirl mutter landing right in front of her.
"So what can I do for you Miss Zor-El?" she asked, eyeing the slab of what look like debris.
"I told you it fine to call me Kara, I need this look at, there a faint energy signature on it but it fading fast." Supergirl stated, looking at the slab for a moment the girl turn back around and open her draw, looking around for a moment she pulled a device that look very much a old gameboy with two 'L' shape metal pieces sticking out the top of it, placing it over the slab she watch the screen.
"These readings, electromagnet energy, but these readying are the kind you'd find in humans only much more powerful then any normal human should have... are these Static's?" she ask and Supergirl nodded.
"Yep, I need you to make me a device cable of tracking him down through this." Supergirl said dropping the slab on the ground breaking it to pieces, "Okay one, your not leaving that there, and two, what my time frame?" she asked already typing away at her computer.
"Ten Minutes?"" Supergirl asked in a sweet and hopeful tone, the red heads hands paused over the keyboard, she really hated when Supergirl came around, while she saw the alien as a dear friend who she'd help out when ever she could but god did she ask for some unreasonable things at times.
"One hour, that as quick as it going to be for a make shift detector." she mutter getting to work as Supergirl's shoulder's drop, "Oh alright." she groan knowing she'd have to wait.
"Oh and Kara?" she spoke.
"Yes, Cat?" Kara ask.
"While your waiting, clean up that mess." Cat said smirking, Supergirl roll her eyes and gave a mock salute, "Yes Miss Fairchild Sir!"
Sometime later in Jump city at a broken down Cathedral a lone figure sat in the middle when the alter should be dress in purple, skin blood red and four red eyes, her white hair floated in the air sat as she sat hovering in senzu style with a small smile playing on her face. Across from them pulled out a high-tech pair of binoculars, and gazed out at the Cathedral Nightwing look into the church through a open window. His eyes lock on Raven figure as Red Arrow.
"I only see Raven, Jesse and Jared are likely hiding in the shadow like always." Nightwing stated before looking at Red Arrow.
"You sure Ruskoff hi tailed it out of there already?" he asked and Red Arrow nodded.
"For all his talk, Ruskoff a coward at heart. After Argent beat the living hell out of him, he baled." Red Arrow answer.
"Good then we only have to deal with Lust'Jesse' and Wrated'Jared' but they won't be ease to take down, even at four on two, then there Raven." Red Arrow pointed out with his arms cross.
"If we don't attack her, she'll stay focus on opening the gate for Trigon, while we keep her brothers busy Static who she shouldn't sense coming should be able to sneak up behind her and put the necklace on her."
"It'd be nice if everything went that way, but we both know it won't." Red Arrow said dryly.
"If things go completely south, you know what to do." Red Arrow said, Nightwing kept quite causing him to growl and grab him by his collier and pull him so they were face to face.
"Right!? Listen man your not the only one who wants to save her, I do too. So do Argent and Red Star! That why we've stood by your side through all of this, but if we can't stop her here and now. Our only choice is to seal her away along with her whole messed up family!" Red Arrow shouted, Nightwing said nothing but nodded, "Hey guys, Static in position, it time." Argent called over the communicator. "Roger, we're moving out." Nightwing replied and both jump off the building to the ground below.
In the Cathedral Raven still over in mid air while sitting in the Lotus position as a ring of fire form behind her, it was the beginning of her doorway to her Fathers realm, several symbols inside it. Looking back at her handy work her smile widen ever so slightly.
"The door has form, it only a matter of time until my father returns to this world. So now then, how about you stop lurking in the darkness like that. After all, your not your father." Raven said in a tone that almost seem amused. The massive doors of the stood wide open but then the left slowly began to close revealing Nightwing, hidden behind it, Raven's smile seem to soften at the site of her old friend.
"So you finally came, are the others here as well?" she asked, Nightwing said nothing, simply taking step after step toward Raven whose smile seem to grow dark by the second.
"I'd really like to thank Argent for her kind treatment toward my brother... where is she?" Raven ask with a sinister expression as Nightwing stop several feet away from her being this close was dangerous but if he needed to draw out Jesse and Jared, "Raven stop this, your being control. You must know that!" Nightwing said looking at his old friend grin at him with dark intent.
"Control?" she asked, "My dear foolish Nightwing, I'm not being control, I've simply come to accept my roll in my father's goal." Raven stated, the shadow began to bend around him taking the shape of a human.
"You really should have just given up rich boy." Jesse said stepping out of the shadows wearing a blue jeans, a white shirt, and black leather jacket.
"I'm not sure I like your boyfriend Pride, he a bit of a starker if you ask me." Jarded stated walking out of the shadows on the other side from Jesse. Nightwing glared at the two reasonable for Ravens fall.
"Jesse and Jared, this end tonight! Ravens coming back with me!" Nightwing stated pulling out two collapsible metal staff's, one in each hand, "We'll just see about that." Jared grinned summing fire to his hands.
"But before we began, were is that bitch that nearly killed our brother?" Jesse asked his grin dropping and snarled at Nightwing, "Where the hell is Argent!?" "Right here ya bastard!" a female voice shouted smashing through the top window and encased Jesse in a red straight jacket made of energy flowing from her hands!
"What the fuck!?" Jesse shouted right before Red Star flew in, grab him in a bear hug and flew out before anyone could do a thing, Jarded turn to Nightwing with a look of fury in his eyes, "Nightwing you bastard! What the hell are you plotting this GAHK!?" Jarded was cut off when an arrow shot through his chest, grips shot out from the tip of the arrow pressing into his chest causing him to cry out in pain before he was yank up into the air by the steel wire at the end of the arrow and pulled out of the Cathedral through the hold in the window the Argent made.
"Impressive my love." Raven said bringing Nightwings attention to her, both stared at one another with expression less faces until Raven spoke again, "Now all you need to do is deal with me." Raven said, Nightwing didn't replied, he simply held his arms up and causing the blue glider wings to appear under his arm turning to the left window he ran off in a made dash and jump up to the winder Jarded was pulled through and out of it. Raven watching him go raised one of her four glowing red eyes.
"My dear Nightwing, what are you planning." she whisper, behind her up above in the ceiling Static look down at the Half-Demon and gulp.
"Okay first part of the plan is a success." Static muttered, holding the necklaces Nightwing had given him.
"Now all I have to do is get this necklace around her neck then it mission accomplish." he whisper dryly as he some how knew it wasn't going to be that easy. Lowering himself slowly right above her Static held a necklace out as he came up behind Raven stopping just above her, he held the necklaces out and she had yet to turn around but Static paused when he noticed that this was going a little too well.
"You know I'm behind you don't you?" Static asked quickly hiding the necklaces in his coat pocket as she began to chuckle.
"If only you had come a little closer, I could have gutted you the moment you were in range." Raven spoke turning her four red eyes to him and causing Static to back away.
"Hey, that not something you say to a guy trying to help ya, ya know." Static said nervously as she exited her Lotus position and held her arm out in front of her, Raven's smile turn into a frown as she loot at Static, (I... can't sense him?) this vex Raven, she had never run into someone who she couldn't sense, there had been those who could hide themselves from her field of view but this was the first time she had met someone who despite being right in front of her, Raven still couldn't sense.
"What... are you boy?" Raven asked, Static hover down until he was at eye level with the half demon, "Well saying I'm a Bang Baby likely won't help clear anything up so..." Static's hands shot out blasting two electric beams at Raven who quickly counter by making a shield of dark energy in front of her.
"Let just say I'm here to turn you back into a good girl." Static said flying above her with his hands glowing, not about to let him get another attack off several dark energy blades appear around her, Statics eyes wide as the energy blades flew towards him he dodged the first few easy enough but the next one clipped him over-the-shoulder sending him crashing into one of the cathedral benches.
"But I like being bad." Raven smirk as Static rolled into a sitting position.
"That's going to leave a mark." Static groan holding his bleeding shoulder before standing up, Ravens four eyes glowed with fire then she shot toward him, quickly rolling out of the way as she strike down where he was, Static shot to his feet looking around for his disk, spotting it by the podium he blasted an electric line to pull it to him however before the disc could reach him Raven shot out of the wood rubble and grab Static in a bear hug flying them both into the air.
"I don't know how it is your shielding your mind from me but if you need that metal disc just to fly then it's clear you haven't even come close to mastering your powers yet!" Raven grinned then with a roar she she threw Static with enough force to not only send him crashing into the ground but cratering it below him!
"Okay, this isn't going so well." Static groan slowly raising to his feet as Raven landed several meters away from him.
"Your in trouble boy." Raven spoke as to black arm's of dark magic appeared out of her back and drive Static grabbing him, "GAH!" Static grunted as she began to squeeze him tightly, surrounding his body in electric energy Static gave a burst of power braking the the dark magic arm's apart before collapsing to the ground on one knee.
"Give me a minute, I'm not ready yet." Static said, unable to believe he was losing so quickly when the fight just started as she smirk at the boy.
"You are amusing, you remind me of an old friend." Raven said then wave her hand, dark rings of energy appeared around Static, "But I don't have time to play with you." the rings then change to blades.
"Good bye boy." at her command the blade rush forward towards Static only to bounce off the bio-shield around his body, "What!?" she growled, Static acting fast pointed his fists at her and shot out two electric blasts at Raven who easily block with a dark energy field, not backing down Static continue to fire bolts of electricity at her.
"Fool, you'll run out of power long before break this field!" Raven stated but Static continue his bombardment of energy blasts.
"Are you trying to run yourself dry boy?" Raven asked 'BBBBZOOOOMMM' Raven only had a moment of startled surprise as a energy beam shattered her shield and slammed into her cheat sending her crashing into the church wall!
"That one hit for me!" Statics grinned holding his smoking power rod with his right hand as he used his left to reach into one of the pouches on his belt to pull out the taser he now started calling his Charger Vox, Raven burst out of the rubble growling in fury as Static stared at her warily recharging.
"Your dead!" Raven roared now completely enraged, appearing in front of Static faster then he could act she grabbed Static by the throat and lifts him off his feet, one-handed, then spins him around and hurls him against the opposite wall. Still choking Static, (Not good, she crushing my neck!) Static thought desperately as Raven nearly succeeds in crushing Static's windpipe with her bare hand however Static focus long enough to point his power rod at Ravens stomach then fire blasting her way from him!
Static landed on his feet gasping for air and would have groan if he could at seeing Raven still standing this time, it was clear to him this was going to be a long fight.
"Damnit!" Nightwing growled, as he Argent, Red Arrow, and Red Star stared at Jesse and Jared.
"Ya didn't mention anything about them merging Nightwing!" Red Arrow said with a frown, the fight had been going their way, without Raven to back them up The four heroes had been able to over power the two demon brothers but then everything change when they merged body's, turning into a rather frightening monster. Its body is large, red and able to change shape. The merged demons now has multiple heads, each of which is able to separate and form its own body.
"How long are you gonna keep acting like I should know everything about these guys!?" Nightwing replied annoyed.
"He got a point Red, up until recently even Raven didn't know about her... other family members." Agrent spoke floating in mid air.
"Enough talk, enemy is coming!" Red Star called, Jesse and Jared his arms shifted in to sharp spikes and attacks Agrent who is able to dodge his tentacles, while Red Star holds the attacking tentacles in place, allowing Red Arrow to use the opportunity to attack and destroy two of the five heads furious that they kept harming them the demon violently swung at Red Arrow who was protected by a red shield Nightwing then saw his opening and threw several birdarangs hitting all three heads in the eyes blinding the demon!
'GAAAAAAAHHH' the demon howled in pain and fury, "Now while we have the chance!" Nightwing called Agrent aimed her glowing red hands at the demon, while Red Arrow to aim with his bow cock back and Nightwing flick three birdarangs in his hand as Red Star held the demon in place.
'BBBBBSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHH' shielding their eyes from the sudden dust clond and shockwave, the Titans where left stun. It had happen so fast that had they blink they might had missed it! No sooner had they been about to attack something shot down from above like a meteor falling at high speed and slammed into the fuse demons Jesse and Jared so hard it shattered windows!
"What just happened!?" Arrow asked.
"Don't know but get ready!" Nightwing said as his team take aim waiting for however their eyes widen at the blond girl before them. "YOU!?"
Back at the church...
Static continued his fight with the possessed half Demon. Static blasted several shots at Raven from his power rod, but the shots either missed or did no damage as the bounced off her protective shield.
Raven rush at Static and threw a dark energy claw trying to cut him into pieced but Static using his forearms form a electric shield blocking the attack then kick at Raven's legs knocking her on her back allowing him enough time to jump away, that seemed to only enrage the tyrant.
Having wasted enough time, Raven jumped back to her feet then vanish in a black mist, "Oh now what?!" Static muttered looking for her only to have Raven appear behind him, turning around he take aim only for Raven to snatch the power rod from his hands, throwing it to the side before grabbing the young hero by the shoulders and tossing him at the wall.
Static groan sliding to the floor as Raven towered over him, She frown and stepped on his hand when she saw it glowing causing him to wench then glare up at her as she turn to the sound of chattering metal and saw his power rod rolling about.
"You have much to learn young one..." Raven spoke then raising her right hand glowing with dark magic, "too bad you won't live to learn." Raven mused forming a dark energy sword in her hand.
'BOOOOOOM' Both had to cover their eyes when the top front off the building was blown open only for a powerful flap off wind blew the dust away showing Supergirl!
"Like hell he won't!" Supergirl growled, 'CLAP' slapping her hands together sent a powerful shock wave that hurl her into the back of the church!
"How!?" Static gasped standing up, the girl of steel landed next to him.
"Super hearing. Superman ask me to find you. Ran into Nightwing. Told where you were and what going on. You got the necklace right?" Supergirl asked Static groan as he rubbed his sore hand (And just like that all my questions are answered.) Static thought holding his hand out and magnetically pulled his power rod to him.
"Yeah but I need her to hold still for at least a few seconds." Static replied, Supergirl nodded watching Raven stand up looking furious at the new arrival, "I'll kill you for that girl!" She only for Supergirl to seemingly vanish then appear behind her then be lock into a tight bear hug!
"Will this do?" Supergirl yell, Raven gasped at her speed, before she could even began to counter Static ran to her and snapped the necklace on the half-demon!
"What!? NO!" Raven howled, her eyes glowed white and suddenly what looked like a ghost like mist rushed out of her mouth
"That it!" Static exclaimed watching her skin turn from red to grey and her hair go from white to purple, letting her go Supergirl watch as Raven collapse to her knees breathing hard and out of breath.
"Is it done?" Supergirl, Static looked up and watch the mist like specters vanish.
"Yeah, I think we did it." Static said then kneeled to check on Raven while Supergirl stood at the ready in case she attack again.
"How do you feel, you back to normal?" Static asked, though he really didn't know what normal was for her but he figured normal was her not wanting to kill them. Looking up at the boy she finally stop gasping for air.
"I'm... free..." Raven whispered in a ghost of a voice, the door to the church suddenly burst open and Nightwing rushed in followed by Red Star, Argent, and Red Arrow.
"Raven!" Nightwing exclaimed coming up to her with Red Star and Argent as Red Arrow lagged behind.
"Damn. You guys are too fast." Red Arrow muttered trying to catch his breath while watching Nightwing kneel down next to her as Static back away with Supergirl.
"Raven... Your finally back." Nightwing said softly only to get a tire smile from the half-demon.
"Your all fools, you should have put in end to me when I turned." Raven spoke getting chuckles from her friends.
"We could not do that comrade Raven. You are fellow Titan and Friend to us." Red Star said giving her a kind smile.
"Yeah and with all the trouble we went through to save your butt be a little more happy about." Red Arrow said with a smirk getting a chuckle from her and a playful punch from Argent.
"Be nice, she been through a lot." Agrent chided lightly then turn to her with a smile.
"It good to have you back love." Argent said, watching the group Static and Supergirl couldn't help but feel happy for them.
"This has a good vibe, let's leave them be." Supergirl said and Static nodded.
"Yeah, I'm worry about Aquaman." Static said both turn to leave, "Wait." Raven called out stopping them.
"You two are the ones that save me in the end. Thanks you." Raven said getting grin's from them.
"Sure no biggie, just glad we could help." Supergirl said.
"Yeah, plus helping out fellow heroes is kind of part of the job." Static added, she gave a small smile and rose her hand causing it to glow.
"Indeed in my current state I can't do much to help... you wish to help Aquaman yes? I can at least send you to him." She said, suddenly a dark portal open up under the two young hero's, they gave a yep of surprise then fell through and it closed.
"Raven... love... what did you just do?" Agrent asked In worry as Raven drop her hand.
"I use the... last... of my power... to send... them to... Aquaman..." Raven mumble tiredly as her four look at her.
"And were is that?" Nightwing asked standing up holding her in his arms.
"I... do not know." Raven whispered snuggling closer in Nightwings chest then passing out, the four looked at each other in worry. "I hope their okay."
Deep ocean near Active Volcano
Aquaman was having a really bad day, he had been badly injured an assassin, by the genius of Batman, then held captive by the justice league 'though that was more for his safety' escaping from the League's custody, headed back to Atlantis, only to find his brother, Orm, had usurped his throne.
Aquaman growled as he kept yanking at the chains on his wrists, after being taken away and shackled to a reef near a volcano together with his son, and Orm sent them plummeting toward the lava.
"Yes!" Aquaman growled managed to break one arm free, but in the face of the imminent death of his infant son!
Pulling his blade free of his belt Aquaman began hacking at the chain on his left arm but it wasn't working and he was sinking towards the lave fast with his son sinking even faster!
"No choice!" he thought in dismay, looking down at his chain left arm, he raised the blade preparing to do what he must to save his son!
'SWOOOOHHH' Aquaman paused as a flash of light appeared out of no where and blinding him.
(WHAT THE HELL!?) Supergirl gasped as she suddenly found herself and Static miles deep in the ocean. Static gurgle for a moment trying to get his vision cleared up under water. Once both could see better their eyes widen at the site of an underwater volcano (Why the hell are we- wait a second! Aquaman!?) Supergirl gasped filling mouth full pf disgusting sea water which she choke on a bit then quickly swum to the blonde haired king who stare at her speechless.
"Where did you come from!?" Aquaman asked, Supergirl looked surprised that she could hear him underwater but being unable to talk simply grabbed the chain on his wrist and snapped it with ease.
"Thank you, I- wait my son!" Aquaman gasped looking down below him. His heart froze in horror at seeing nothing but lave, however before it could go any father Supergirl tapped his shoulder causing him to looked and his eyes to widen at seeing Static right next to them holding his baby boy.
"My son..." Aquaman breath, relief flooding his voice as he floated to Static and take hold of his son. Supergirl seeing the scene choose to focus more on Static and the fact that he had a small breathing apparatus, noticing the attention Static turn to her as her curious expression look at him then then tap her lips with a waiting look in her eyes to which he shrug unable to answer, he then pause when he saw her holding out her hand expectingly.
Reaching into the yellow belt Static pulled out another one and handed it to the girl of steel who take it gratefully then another hit her, (How come the water pressure isn't killing him?) She wonder but decided she asked later.
"Both of you, come with me." Aquaman said with a determined expression, nodded Supergirl grab Static by the waist and pulled an arm over her shoulder then swim after the King of the sea.
Mera, Queen of Atlantis having save the rest of the Justice League led them out of the torture building they had been in and was moving around Atlantis. The buildings were incredible, they were all sorts of geometric shapes, and the colors weren't too bright or too dark, they resembled natural ocean colors.
Your kingdom is truly magnificent." Wonder Woman said, reflecting my thoughts. "I see why Aquaman protects it so passionately."
"Unfortunately, there are those whose ambitions would destroy it." She said trying to stand strong, the Queen in her knowing that her people looked to her and drew their strength from her but it was hard with her family missing.
"Guy's, we've got company!" GL growled seeing the platoon of soldier's rushing toward them, everyone ready themselves for battle with Wonder Woman taking a stands next to the queen to protect her. Reaching them They stop then much to their surprise, bow before Mera.
"My Queen, it good to see you unharmed, as well as the Justice League. I was worried when I reached the flood chambers and found no one there." the Commanding General Bak spoke lifting his head up to them as they eyed him warily.
"You didn't seem too worried when Orm wanted to drown us." John said evenly, standing up Bak looked at them with a blank expression.
"When Orm said the surface dweller's killed the king I take it at face value... admittedly I should have looked for proof first." Bak replied with a level expression to them all before turning to Mera looked sorrowfully.
"I place too much trust in Orm's words my Queen. I'm sorry." Bak said full heartily, Mera nodded, she knew him for a long time and knew he could be trusted. Tricks weren't his style.
"Good to see you wise up, now we need to hurry and find the king and Mera's son." Superman said now standing next to her.
"Actually the King has already returned, it was him who revealed Orms lies." Bak replied shocking them.
"My husband, he back!?" Mera asked stun.
"Yes, on his order we are already capturing Orms followers, It fact I were order to search for you and the Justice League at once." Bak explained then turn on his heels. "Come with me, the king awaits.
Royal Throne Hall
"My King, we were only doing what must be done to protect Atlantis!" a guard said as he and a dozen others kneel down before Aquaman who glared at them.
"So that includes killing me and son?" Aquaman snapped causing their heads to shoot up at their king with the two young heroes at his side.
"That going too far my king!" one guard shouted.
"Though we did reluctantly agreed to have you removed from the throne. It was to be in exile!" Another pointed out showing they didn't want to kill him.
"As for your son, he was to be kept under Orms care who would rule as our new king and raise your son to be a proud King of Atlantis." Static and Supergirl looked at them with a frown.
"You guys do know we found your king just outside the city, chain to an erupting under water volcano. Right?" Supergirl question getting gasps from them.
"With Jr. there nail to the site as well might I add." Static added, the looks of horror on their face made Aquaman feel just a bit less angry with them, (They didn't know, Orm lied to them and was planning to blame our deaths on the surfacedweller's.) he thought as Static and Supergirl thought along the same lines.
"Take these men away, I'll deal with them later." Aquaman order to the guards surrounding them. As they were march out of the throne room he sigh and turn to the young heroes at his side.
"Awww looks like they got played." Static commented, Supergirl nodded.
"Yep, Your brother said he do one thing but went and did another. Killing you or your son wasn't part of the plan but Orm change that." Supergirl stated, Aquaman sigh tiredly and sat down on his throne.
"I can see that, they will be punish but it was will be light. A few months in their cells will be enough, after all... This is partly my fault." Aquaman spoke before looking at his son sleeping in his crab next to him.
"All I wanted is peace and safety for Atlantis... and my son." he said holding his hand to his face then take it off to take a look at it, if Static and Supergirl hadn't came when they did he might have had to cut it off.
"That won't be ease if word get out about what been happening here... your really should have tried to talk it out at the World Assembly." Supergirl said getting a frown him.
"I tried talking it out, they turn down my offer of peace!" Aquaman replied, Static rolled his eyes a the king.
"If by peace you mean an ultimatum of war. Then yeah sure lets go with that." Static counter with an innocent expression getting a glare from the king.
"Hey don't glare at us like that, it true kings are suppose to be ready for war but their also politicians, and the politicians are supposed to prevent the war." Supergirl stated, turning his attention to the alien girl he paused for a moment.
"Oh and what would you suggest then." Aquaman asked crossing his arms, "Well how about actually talking things out this time, I mean you won't sound weak by simply stating the truth of the damage being cause to your home right?" Static offered causing him to pause in thought.
"Plus it might be a good idea to think about joining the UN." Supergirl added surprising him.
"Join the United Nations?" Aquaman asked having never consider that.
"That a good idea Steel girl, having this nation recognized means they be safe not just from the outside world but also the water guy here would have a voice to be heard for their people and someone to watch over the affairs of this world." Static add, thinking it over Aquaman quickly began realizing the benafits of doing such a thing then smack his head when another realization hit him.
"This is what Superman meant when he told me to go to the World Assembly." Aquaman groaned now understanding what the man of Steel meant when he told him to attend the Assemby it was so it he gain a place in the UN and have a true voice for his people.
"It looks like to kids are better at politics then you my king." said a dark-skinned guard with brown hair that is partly shaved off. He wears olive colored pants and no shirt, only belts and necklaces. He also carries a spiked mace. Standing off to the side with another one he had be quietly listening but couldn't help speaking up at the tail end of their conversation.
"Maybe finding a new king until the young prince is grown up isn't such a bad idea." another guard spoke giggling, she has sharp facial features, high cheekbones and a wide grin. She has black hair that flows down her back. She wears a yellow top with orange shoulder ornaments Aquaman gave a half glare at his old friends, M'Chiste and Chian. Having known them since they were kids, were of the few who could speak to him that way.
"Quite you two, when this is over I'll go back to the World Assembly and dress the matter of Atlantis's safety in a more... political way." Aquaman said getting grins from the two, "Arthur!" Mera's voice called out as she and the rest of the League enter the room.
"Static!?" Wonder Woman gasped in surprise at seeing him there as Mera rushed into her husband's arms, "I was so worried, I knew Orm was up to something." Mera whispered doing her best not to break down in tears.
"It okay, my love. I'm fine, and so is our son." Arthur spoke nodding at the crib next to his throne, seeing her son sleep peacefully Mera couldn't stop at a few tears from falling down her cheeks. Wonder Woman smile as she walked passed them, happy to see the family together again. This didn't however stop the frown on her face when she stopped at Static with her arms crossed causing him to chuckle nervously.
"Want to tell us what happened with your vanishing act?" she question with a no none-sense expression about her as she eyes the the rather big cut on his shoulder the even showed skin being even is shirt under it was cut as well, but there was no sighs of a wound.
"A long story but I wasn't actually in trouble if that helps." Static offered causing her eyes to narrowed and Static back up a step in fear as Supergirl smirk, (So this is the 'over protective sister mode' he was talking about.) she thought, the two having work together for a bit Static told her of how while Wonder Woman was very supportive of him she was also very protective and didn't hesitate to reprime him if he screwed up, like a big sister... a big scary near superman level in terms of power sister.
"Kid, you pull a disappearing act in the middle of a mission and when we finally find you, all you give us is a 'I wasn't actually in trouble'?" John asked growling but Static just shrugged not seeing the big, "Technically I found you guys so..." Static stop at seeing three very angry glares from Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Hawk Girl. Superman grown as he looked at Supergirl and Flash snicking.
"If you wish to reprime the boy, I'd request you take it ease on him, after all, he and Supergirl did save me and my son." Aquaman stated walking up to them, seeing his opening back up with Super letting the adults talk which he was more then happy to not be apart since he already knew what they were talking about.
"Looks like someone dodge a bullet, huh." Supergirl giggled causing him to give a her light glare, "Save it, when this is over I'm already going to be given a ear full about never letting your guard down." Static mumbled.
"Big sister Wonder Woman eh, I don't in envy you." Supergirl grinned.
"At least saving the king and his son will give me some leeway." Static sigh as she chuckle then a thought hit her.
"Hey, not to change the subject but how come you had breathing apparatuses in your belt?" She asked.
"Batman's idea, I can't really use my powers in water save for increasing my overall strength by stimulating my muscles with electricity to enhance my strength to superhuman levels. So he made me start carrying breathing apparatuses... Huh I guess he was right." Static mused as he tap the pouch with the breathers in. Supergirl blink a few times as part of what he side hit her.
"You can enhance your strength with electricity?" Supergirl asked interested, Static look at her with a shrug as he held up his hand with electric arcs.
"Yeah, Wonder got mad when she learn I had zero hand to hand combat skills and starting making me train with her." Static replied.
"During our training I figured out that running my electricity through my muscle fibers I can enhance my strength and endurance... good thing to since that water pressure from before would have killed me other wise." Static muttered as it somewhat annoyed that Wonder Woman's training was paying off and it meant he'd have to keep training with the super power Amazon, Supergirl on the other hand found herself grinning at the idea that he might be strong enough to not be treated like glass.
"Static, Supergirl!" looking towards the adults the two saw Superman beckoning them over, reach the man of steel they all turn to Arthur who bought the rest Justice league up to speed.
"Aquaman filled us in on what going on, we still need to talk about your vanishing act but for now we need to find out what Orm is planing." Superman stated 'beep' A beep broke the silence and Batman's voice came from it. "This is Batman, first things first, I take it Static made it safely to Atlantis?"
"Yes, how did you know?" Wonder Woman asked surprise as was the rest of the League, "My former sidekick alerted me to the mess he drag him into." Batman growled not happy about that.
"At any rate I'll explained later but as far as I'm concerned Static in the clear. Got it so lay of him, Green Lantern." John frowned at being singled out and was even more annoyed that no one was speaking up on it.
"Well that good to know, putting that on the back burner you find anything on Orm?" Superman asked.
"Maybe. A situation has developed at the North Pole. Thermal reading shows temperatures increasing rapidly."
"If that continues. The ecologic effects could be catastrophic." Responded J'onn.
"Then let's check it out." Voiced John.
"But what about the crisis here?" asked Diana.
"Pretty much taken care of." Static stated.
"Yeah, the Commanding General Bak has already rounded the last of Orm's men." Supergirl agreed.
"Good then I can take care of things while Arthur is gone." Mera stated.
"Plus there may be a connection." Responded Aquaman.
"What do you mean?" asked Superman.
"It's the Doomsday thermal reactor. We designed it to create a polar meltdown." Aquaman answer getting gasped
"What?" John growled glaring at the king.
"I had it built as weapon of last resort, should the surface world ever attack." Their responses were wide eyes and Aquaman lowered his head in regret at his huge mistake. "But I never armed it." Aquaman added.
"Then Orm must have. Using the plutonium from the submarine." responded Lantern anxiously.
"Oh you got to be kidding." Supergirl groan.
"If the polar cap melts, the world will sink beneath the waves, everything will be destroyed. Superman stated alarmed.
"I know people have been meaning to go for a swim more but that a bit much." Static mumble.
"Agreed. Orm must be stopped!" Superman responded before turning to leave.
"And he will be! I'll see to it personally!" He finished threateningly holding a spear.
"Good, everyone get ready, Supergirl..." Superman looking down at his cousin who looked up hopefully at him, "Since your here already I want you to tag along, better to have a another hand helping to then be short of one." Superman stated causing her to grin.
"Awesome, then let get this show on the road!" Static grinned lighting his fist up with electricity, everyone nodded getting ready for the battle ahead.
Close to the North Pole
Aquman swam at very fast speed through the water. Actually it looked like he glided through it. He jumped on the ice and was walking firmly to the mountain where the reactor would be.
"Aquaman, wait!" Superman called from behind. The rest of the league followed flying or in Flash's case running across the water.
"Yeah, not cool leaving us behind like that." Static said dropping to the ground.
"Why do you follow?" asked Aquaman as all the League's landed.
"We want to help." Responded Diana.
"This is my battle. No one asked you to fight it." He returned coldly.
"I hate to say it 'not really' but this stop being just your battle when your Doomsday thermal reactor went online." Static pointed out with his hand on his sides.
"Static's right, you can't expect us to just walk away and hope our world doesn't flood over while you and your brother duke it out." Supergirl added with her arms crossed, Aquaman looked at the two teens slightly annoyed as felt himself unable to tell them off due to their reasoning and also the fact that they had save him and his son.
"Fine, just don't get in my way." Aquaman replied walking forward but was interrupted when a projectile almost hit him from below the ice, it was lucky that he jumped away in time. Atlantis' rogue armies soon made themselves known as they surfaced through the ice and started firing their cannons and releasing their riders.
"We'll deal with this, you go on a head." Superman said as the heroes closed the distance between them and engaged with Aquaman jumping in the water, Static take flight heading elsewhere with Supergirl on his tail and the others attacking from the skies.
"Where are we going?" Supergirl asked surprising him at seeing the girl of steel beside him.
"Shouldn't you be helping the others?" Static asked and she shrugged.
"Nah they should be fine without us, beside where ever your going is bound to be more fun!" Supergirl grinned.
"Ah, well I'm picking up some high level energy signatures up ahead. In this frozen wast land that bound to be our doomsday device." Static stated as they saw a opening up ahead of them.
"Sweet, I'm taking point." Supergirl told him as they landed with her in the front much to Static's dismay.
"Hey I'm the one who found this place." Static said causing her to smirk.
"True but If there a trap waiting then only one of us has steel in their nickname. Besides who needed to be save again?" Static eye's twitched at that.
"Just lead the way damnit." Static grunted causing her to chuckle as they moved into the cavern.
"Found it." Supergirl grinned reaching the control console to the terminal reactor, walking up to the keyboard and looking it over her smile widen.
"Can you shut it down?" Static asked walking off to the side to examine the components of the device.
"The controls look simply enough. Shutting it off shouldn't be a problem." she replied reaching out to began the shut it down process when "AARRiiiiiiee!" a powerful energy beam from Orm's Trident strike her in theback sending the girl of steel crushing into the ground.
"Supergirl!" Static shouted lightning both his fist up with electricity!
"Apparently I underestimated you surface dwellers. A mistake I won't repeat again." Orm spoke with an evil smirked at Static then look down to Supergirl who was groaning in pain on the icy floor and pulled back the trident to aimed the three blades at the fallen hero.
"Get away from her!" Static throwing an electric blast much to Orm's surprise, "GGGAAAhhhh!" Orm screamed when the attack impacted and threw him into the ice walls!
"Gah! Now this is a surprise, I see we both bring the thunder!" he grunted standing up as Static take a position in front of Supergirl to protect her.
"Dude, it bring the lightning! Thunder is just the noisy after effect." Static quipped and Orm grinned savagely at the teen hero.
"Well said, now let make some noise!" Orm said pointing his Trident at Static and fire a powerful blast of lighting at his foe! Static seeing it coming raised his left hand to block "GGGGaaaaaahhhhh!" however unable to absorb or block it, Static was overwhelmed and sent flying threw an ice wall!
"Static!" Supergirl called managing to get to one knee in time to see her friend blasted by Orm.
"Don't worry my dear I've got something for you t-" "ORM!" Aquaman shouted rushing in as his brother was about to point his Trident at Supergirl and clashed against him with his spear!
"About time you showed up!" Supergirl muttered now on her feet."
"It's over. Supergirl turn off the machine!" Aquaman order, Supergirl nodded turning around to do some.
"I think not!" Orm declared pushing his brother away then pointed his trident at the control console and aimed it at the keyboard, destroying it to prevent any attempt to stop the generator.
Aquaman was caught off guard by these turn of events and was too distracted to avoid another energy blast to his abdomen. "The tide is against you. The reactor can't be shut- Gaaahh!?" Orm gasped in surprise when a powerful electric bolt hit him from behind!
"And now they turn back on you!" Static counter walking in holding his numb left arm. Aquaman seeing his opening stepped on Orm's chest and held the blade of his spear to his throat.
"Move and I'll split your neck wide open!" he growled causing Orm to look up at his brother in fear.
"Static, you okay?" Supergirl asked seeing his cradling his left arm.
"That prick actually electrocuted me...? Me!? That ain't right." Static mumble trying to get the feeling back in his arm.
"Can the reactor still be shut down?" Aquaman asked both teens looked over the damage and shake their heads.
"No the controls are too mess up." Supergirl replied, Orm grinned victorious.
"See brother, the surface dwellers are finished! I win!" Orm declared as Batman and Green Lantern came in.
"If we can't use the controls then can we shut it down manually?" Batman asked having been listening in from the com-link Static got back from Wonder Woman.
"Yes, that is as long as one of you can live through god knows how many levels of radiation." Aquaman replied, the Dark Knight's eyes narrowed then turn to the only female in the room.
"Supergirl?" he asked and she smirked.
"Sure, as long as it ain't Kryptonite I'm good to go." she replied, Orm gasped at hearing this, "NOOOOO!" he roared grabbing his trident that was within arms reach and smacking Aquaman in the side with it, knocking him to the ground.
"You will not get in my way!" Orm shouted jumping to his feet and taking aim at the Leaguers!
"Watch out!" Green Lantern yelled putting a shield up as Orm fire, but the lightning shattered his shield sending a shockwave that knock everyone off their feet!
"The girl must die!" Orm snarled rushing at the down Argoan who gasp when he jump at her with the blades of his trident aiming to impale her, Static having been the first to jump back to his feet quickly block his path and clashed the trident with his power rod!
"We even now!?" Static grunted holding Orm back, "We're even." Supergirl replied warily knowing that trident had magic properties and was there for able to harm her.
"ORM!" Aquaman roared rushing at him from behind, Orm just barely dodge, he growled at the three facing him then started to look worry when Green Lantern and Batman stood back up. Realizing he was out number Orm turn and fled down the ice chamber behind them.
"He not getting away! Boy, with me!" Aquaman called racing off, "Right behind ya!" Static said on his tail.
"We should go too!" Supergirl said ready to fly off but a black glove hand on her shoulder stop her.
"No our job is to stop this reactor." Batman said pointing to the hatch near them, Supergirl pouted at being left out of the fight but nodded and move towards the hatch.
"Once your inside I'll guild you on disarming it, Green Lantern guard our rear." Batman orders taking command though Green Lantern look like he wanted to argue.
"But the kid, we can't just-" "Static will be fine, for now we need to worry about this thing melting the polar ice caps!" Batman said cutting him off as Supergirl nodded then proceeded to open the reactor hatch to enter.
"Got it, you got a com-link for me?" Supergirl ask and was quickly handed one by Batman then proceeded to enter the reactor. Elsewhere Orm found himself in a very bad position, with Static backing his brother up with long range attacks there being unable to properly right him one on one Orm was quickly overwhelmed. Now on his knees with his trident several feet out of reach and cover in cuts and bruises as Aquaman held the trident of Atlantis.
"It over Orm, by now the others have shut down the reactor, surrender while you still can." Aquaman said willing to let his brother live if he give up now. Orm sigh, holding out his hand to surrender.
"Very well brother, I yield." Orm spoke, Aquaman paused for a moment then slowly walked towards reaching out to take his brothers hand, not seeing the blade he pulled from his belt.
Aquaman coming up to him he reach to the out stretched hand, "AAAGGGHHH!" Aquaman scream when Orm to cut him in the rips with a knife! Orm jump up, and slash several times causing him to drop his trident.
"You're not fit to wear the crown you weak and gutless-" "Aquaman duck!" Static yelled, dropping to the ground Aquaman saw the flash of electricity fly over his head.
"GAAAHHHHH!" Orm scream in pain as he was blasted over the of a drop zone barely holding. Hanging on by one hand Aquaman stoop up and walk over to his brother who looked up with pleading eyes. "Brother, help me please!" he begged.
Aquaman bent down, and picked up his trident. "I believe this belongs to me." Orm slipped, and screamed as he fell down into the abyss.
"Is... is that okay...? I mean I know he was evil and all but... he was still your brother." Static looking rather uncomfortable with Aquaman letting Orm die.
"Yes, if I let him live he would have only caused more trouble for everyone." Aquaman stated, Static didn't say anything else as they walked to the reactor room and saw that Superman had joined Batman and Green Lantern as Supergirl crawl out of the open hatch grinning and giving them a thumbs up.
"It over." Superman said to the returning king who nodded.
"Good, I've finished on my end as well." Batman nodded looking at the thermal reactor.
"I'm going to speak with Bruce Wayne and have him send some guys from Wayne tech to dismantle this device." Batman told Aquaman with a glared daring him to, however Aquaman merely sigh tirely not in the mood to argue.
"Very well, you can recover the plutonium as well." Aquaman replied, getting a nodded Batman as Supergirl made her way tolds Static.
"So heck of a night huh?" Supergirl said and Static smirk dryly.
"Yep, all the way into the morning, no sleep and late to first period class? Oh the joy of a new day." Static said blandly getting a snicker from Supergirl.

"Freeze!" several security guards and yelled as they gave chase to the gray skin girl carrying a money deposits box who was running through their warehouse. reaching the doorway she kicked it open and ran outside the security guards quickly exit as well looking around she was nowhere to be found however they saw a young man and a red jacket with blue jeans looking frightened as he stood at the edge of the alley moving up to the young man they quickly ask.
"Hey did you see a freaky grey girl run by here, she manage to steal one of our money deposit boxes!" the leading security guard said.
"Yeah she ran down the block and hit the alley to the left." he told them, giving the teen their thanks the team of three security guards moved to follow his directions however the moment their backs were to him a sharp pain was felt in the back of the head and all three fell to the ground fell to the unconscious.
With a sigh young man turn to the dumpster next to him and gave it three knocks the lid popped up in the grey skinned Girl jumped out with a disgusted look on her face.
"That is the last time I hide in a dumpster and freaky gray girl!? Assholes!" Nails huffed, Derek Barnett looked at the girl amused but then groan as his gain a strained expression.
"Come on, lets move these guys." he said urgently, nodding Nails grabbed one by the shoulders as Derek grabbed the other two in pulled them into the back of the alley hiding them from site. Groaning once more Nails watch as Dereks body started to morph into the energy monster known as D-struct.
"That was a little over 20 minutes. Your getting better." Nail commented as D-struct sigh.
"Yeah, little by little." D-struct's distorted voice spoke, walking over to the man hole next to the door and stomped on it three times. It popped open to reveal a girl in a red outfit wearing shades with purple hair.
"The coast clear?" Nightingale asked looking at Nails and D-struct who nodded as she climbed up. Along with three others, Brickhouse, Fade, and Tech. Dusting himself off Fade glare at Nails and D-struct.
"About time, it take you two long enough." Fade sneered 'SMACK' only to get hit in the back of his head by Brickhouse, "Back off em but I really clock you up side the head." Brick house snapped causing him to finish while rubbing his sore head, Nightingale sigh at the two, every since Nails and D-struct join them Fade had been giving them a hard time due to them having certain freedoms they didn't have, Brickhouse and others like Nightingale accept them see as the two and the little girl they brought with em didn't have a place to go, plus they earn keep, Tech a short dark skin man walk up to the grey skinned girl.
"Did you hook my device up?" Tech asked looking at Nails who nodded, "Yep, before I snatch this deposits box a latch it on the camera near the door." Nails replied.
"Good, that device will connect with all the others and put them on an auto loop, we got two hours to get the supplies and get out." Tech stated.
"Great and it just turn 6 so we got three hours before they open or anyone is sent to the back to check in, lets be quick about it." Nightingale stated everyone nodded ready to move in... 'CLAP' 'CLAP' 'CLAP' slow clapping cause them to pause in place, everyone turn to see a man hiding in the shadows behind them.
"Not back, where I was thinking you lot lack brain cells but it pleasing to know you can think of a fairly deceit plan." the unknown man said smoothly as they tense, "Who the heck are you!?' Nail's asked now on guard only with the rest.
"Your new boss." he said simply, now annoyed Fade active his phasing powers as he march, "Look old man, I don't know how you found us but you better forget-" 'PLOOOOHH' two laser beams hit him moments before Fade could reach the man knocking him to the ground and sending his skidding back to the feet of his ally's clutching his chest in pain.
"That... should have pass right through him." Tech spoke in a worry tone as the Nails and Nightingale look on speechless while D-struct and Brickhouse stood in front of them protectively.
"Who the hell are you!?" Brickhouse asked clutching her fist as D-struct charge up two energy balls in his hands, the man simply chuckle slowly walking out of the shadows, wearing a brown mask, white lab coat with black gloves, and brown hair, "You can call me... Professor Menace!"
