Welcome to Mount Justice, Part 2

„Red Tornado volunteered to live here and be your supervisor. Black Canary is in charge of training."
And I will be your care taker, Mary added silently, as she watched Batman address the four young members of the new team in their cave's mission room.
Her new duties were manifold. According to her new contract, she was to assist Red Tornado in all house keeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry. She was also in charge of the kitchen, although Batman had clarified that all team members should learn to provide for themselves – she was not expected to prepare three daily meals for them, except on 'special occasions'. The resident members would have to share some duties like cooking, grocery shopping and keeping their rooms in order. Twice a week, Mary would return to Wayne manor to continue her training sessions with Alfred. And there were quite a few shifts in her flexible time table that were entirely free – allowance for leisure time and vacation days, in accordance with modern labour laws, as she was told.
It had felt surreal to set up a proper contract for a job that implied working at a secret mountain fortress for a covert team of teenage superheroes. It had been signed by Diana Prince, alias Wonder Woman, as a legal representative of the Justice League. Mary would receive a generous wage and pay taxes like a regular employee.
Of course, many of her real tasks were not listed in the contract after all. The two resident young heroes were new to this world, just as she had been six months ago. Assisting both of them in getting used to their new home would be her primary assignment.
"This is the Martian Manhunter's niece, Miss Martian", Aquaman introduced the fifth member of the team.
Mary watched from the background as the green-skinned girl with the auburn hair was welcomed by her new team mates, and chuckled silently at Kid Flash's and Robin's awkward flirtation attempts.
J'onn met her eyes briefly. Mary replied to his unspoken question with a reassuring smile.
She would be there for his niece.
