A/N Thank you all for reviewing!
"Klaus, don't do this to her."
Tearing his eyes away from Daniella, Klaus turned around to face Stefan."I have no use for you anymore."
Stefan's protest was caught in his throat when the hybrid roughly grabbed him by the shoulders. His view of his sister was blocked by the Original, he was given no choice but to keep Klaus' gaze when his pupils dilated. Stefan went silent, his mind working against him and his will to fight waning.
"What are you doing to him?"Daniella breathlessly questioned, slowly rising to her feet.
Klaus offered his old friend a small smile and, with one last shake of his shoulder, he released Stefan from his clutches.
"You have your free will back, Stefan. I let you go."Klaus called over his shoulder, waving a dismissive hand and making his way over to his bar."You may go back to the mundane life you've been yearning to return to."
Stefan's body stiffened when he recovered from the removal of the compulsion and he blinked once, twice, and a third time before it happened. Daniella witnessed her brother's entire body sagging under the weight of it all and the most overwhelming and distressing whimper ripped from his throat.
Staggering on her feet, Daniella braced herself against the wall."Stefan."
Daniella swallowed the lump in her throat and grimaced when her brother's eyes snapped to her. The callous edge to his body language instantly softened and his eyes flooded with instant contrition when everything came rushing back to him. His words, his actions, and the blood on his hands—he was feeling everything.
"Dani..."
"It's fine."She reassured with a forced smile."Everything's fine."
Stefan outstretched a hand, needing to hold her close to assure her but the faint sound of something hefty meeting a hard surface resounded in his ears. The sound was replicated several times, it garnering a flinch from Daniella each time. For a moment Stefan was frozen in place, witnessing his sister's apprehension grow more obvious no matter how much she tried to contain it.
His mind connecting the dots, Stefan recoiled in disgust then whirled around to face the Original standing behind the bar.
"You can go now, Stefan."Klaus idly reminded without looking over at him, leaning down to collect glasses from the shelf below the bar."Daniella and I have some business to sort out."
Klaus beckoned Daniella with a glazed expression while Stefan's eyes sought out whatever had caused the heavy sound. When his eyes finally landed on the cause, Stefan lost his train of thought. Blood bags, a collection of them all lined up along the bar.
I want the old Daniella Salvatore back.
His eyes widening in horror as he recalled the negotiation for his freedom, Stefan's grew tense at the prospect. His eyes darted between his sister and Klaus. They ultimately settled on the hybrid's expression, and Stefan's blood ran cold when he studied the gluttonous flicker in Klaus' eyes.
Feeling Stefan's stare, Klaus carelessly set down the glasses."You're still here."
"Klaus, please."Stefan gruffly pleaded, pain etched across his features."Don't do this to h—"
"I'm merely fixing your mistakes."Klaus sharply interjected, his eyes still trained on Daniella."Now, on you go. This doesn't have to be an ugly affair."
Klaus leaned against the bar with a mirthful smile, nodding in the direction of the door. Stefan opened his mouth to protest again, only to snap his mouth shut when Daniella's voice traveled over to him.
"It's all right,"Daniella murmured as reassuringly as she could.
His hands fell back by his sides as he accepted defeat, eyes shining with hopelessness.
"I..."
Daniella pressed her lips together tightly, holding a hand to her heart in understanding.
"I'm sorry."Stefan mouthed, unable to find his voice.
Stefan stared at his sister for a long time, as if he were thinking about going up against Klaus for her. But, knowing that it would only get them both killed, he sadly nodded before flashing out of the apartment. Daniella inhaled sharply when she witnessed her brother leaving her alone with Klaus and she, not knowing what to do and knowing better than to challenge him, looked at the ground.
"I wasn't lying when I told you I know everything about you."Klaus called over to her, hunched over the bar with his hands braced atop it."Come join me?"
Her first instinct was to harshly decline, but she knew better because it was an order. The underlying dare to refuse him was loud and clear in the disguise of a blithe question. Pushing away from the wall, Daniella trudged over to the bar and took the seat furthest by the end, pointedly refusing to look at the blood bags lined up along the wood.
"I've been an admirer for quite some time."
Daniella's jaw ached from the tension she was gritting her teeth with. She lowered her head with a choked-off scoff.
"I suppose I should be flattered?"
A shadow loomed over the blood bag in front of her and she lifted her head when two glasses were set down at either side of it.
"Perhaps a different topic."Klaus suggested with illuminated eyes."How about that little butchery in Matera?"
She shifted uneasily on the stool, her palms dragging against her jeans as she tried to ease her anxiety.
"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."Daniella instantly muttered, a knee-jerk reaction she'd assumed long ago.
She caught Klaus pulling a curious face at the timid response. It was swiftly replaced by his previous, twisted smile as he rambled on with his awe.
"A tat bit on the gauche side for my liking, mind. But you were still honing your craft so let's flash forward a couple of decades." "What about your visit with Damon to Ghent? It took them years to recover, I hear."
Clamorous, unrelenting flashes of mayhem sifted through her mind.
"That was worse."
Klaus' brow furrowed and he shook his head in disapproval.
"Nonsense. The worst is yet to come."He pushed back from the counter and hunched forward to meet her gaze."Would you like to delve into them?"
Daniella recoiled with a sharp breath.
"No."
"How about the first of many tales that spawned your reputation? It was in 1865. You'd left behind a trail of bodies from Mystic Falls as you came upon a remote little town and gatecrashed a wedding. There were harsh words hurled back and forth before you turned the bride, cajoled her to complete her transition by feasting on her groom to be then imprisoned her with those she held closest."
He tipped his head to keep her eye when she turned her face away. Delight crossed his grinning face when he caught her chance a glimpse at the blood bags.
"Now, the callous nature of it isn't the most provocative of stories. It's rather stagy I'm being honest. But it's not the bloodshed nor the way you went about it that's what brought the beginnings of infamy to your name. No,"He hushed Daniella with a soothing murmur after she jolted when he seized her chin."the devil's in the details, isn't it?"
Daniella's eyes honed in on the sketchbook laying forgotten on the armchair behind him when he turned her head so he could study her cautious guise. She breathed harshly through her nose when his thumb pressed insistently just alongside her trembling lower lip
"If you say so."She rasped out, still glaring firmly at the sketchbook. Her breathing hitched when the pad of his thumb journeyed up, up, up then across her flushed cheek.
"No, love. You said so. Now, do you happen to remember the name of the bride?"
Daniella's lips parted, her eyes glistened over. The question triggered a reaction within her that she wasn't prepared for.
"Kathryne. But I'm not like that anymore."
She finally yielded to his unspoken demand and let her eyes travel to his awaiting ones. Her eyes flickered across his face but always gravitated back to his eyes. Her own cleared from sheer force of will while he dried her damp cheeks with callused fingers.
"Oh, but you are!"He breathed out in awe, a laugh laced in his voice."Your brother got into your head, but he didn't eradicate your greatness."
His eyes never left hers as he reached out with the glass and offered it to her. Daniella blanched when the scent consumed her.
"Why are you doing this?"
He downed his own drink in one, tongue lapping up remnants of crimson from his lower lip, eyes tracking Daniella's flickering gaze.
"I've done nothing to you."She hissed furiously, wresting herself free from his clasp.
Klaus canted forward with a chiding shake of his head, holding the glass out with an authoritative arch of his eyebrow.
"If that were true..."He rolled the glass between his fingers contemplatively. His lips lifted when her fingers reluctantly inched towards him."we wouldn't be here, would we?"
Her eyes glassed over with tears when she finally took the glass from him, her features gradually draining of color and her shoulders stiff with fear.
"That's a good girl."He rumbled in approval, nodding his head encouragingly."Go on."
With a shaky hand, Daniella brought the rim of the glass to her quivering lips, hyperaware of Klaus' eyes following her every movement. In her peripheral, she caught a grin twitch at his mouth when the first drop of blood met her tongue. Her lashes fluttered against her cheek when the drop kindled something distant and it was on instinct when she took her first mouthful.
Her fangs itched to extract when she took a second sip, and the room fell away when she allowed herself the rest. Her eyes snapped open when a rustle of laughter floated to her ears and her hazy eyes watched Klaus' grin stretch with awe.
He was just a coaxing blur as she whimpered into the glass when the blood stopped cascading into her yearning mouth.
"I see you, Daniella."
Soon enough there was none left, the glass was empty and once realization sunk in the tumbler was shattering in her hand. She was wrenched back to reality by the trickling of glass on the counter and a hunger itching up her spine that needed to be sated.
More.
"I..."Daniella braced herself against the counter with a fraught, series of mouthed demands."I can't—Stefan."
She was startled when a hand clasped her cheek and a gasp was lost in her throat as a thumb brushed down her cheek then across her mouth. A string of soothing and praiseful murmurs accompanied the ministrations as the thumb hooked under her chin.
"Now,"Klaus sussurated around an approving smile when her glossy eyes met his. He nodded his head."that wasn't so hard, was it?"
Daniella numbly nodded her head, her breathing hitching when his other hand presented a blood bag. He pulled the bag out of reach when she made a move to grab it.
"Ah, ah."He chided through a low laugh. His fingers splayed across her cheeks and pressed in to keep her still and maintain her focus."This is too good for the likes of you now, don't you think?"
Daniella's eyebrows drew together."W-What?"
Her misty eyes bore into him, pupils dilated and red flooding them. She longed.
"Perhaps we ought to find you something a bit more…"He beckoned over her shoulder at someone or something. His eyes roamed over her face when they redirected to her."lively, yes?"
She let herself be pulled in close, heeding his clasp on her face and burdened with an eagerness to quench her hunger.
"What do you think?"
Daniella panted harshly through gritted teeth, her eyes glassy as clarity settled in.
I can't. I couldn't. I...
"I need more. Please."She relented on a whimper, teeth prodding at the lethal points of her fangs when they freed themselves. Her teary eyes were immediately flooded with red, accompanied by the spider veins that crepy below them.
Amber flickered back at her, just as ravenous but with a ruthlessness that was so far out of her reach. She let herself be walked backward towards the exit, clinging to his forearms draped around her waist. They crossed the threshold when the door was opened for them and Klaus' demand in their wake.
"Bring the car around!"
SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE
"Where is she?"
"Damon,"Stefan held out a placating hand."i'll tell you. But you gotta keep calm."
His brother rose to his feet with a grating laugh, his fists clenched at his sides and his eyes blanketing over dangerously.
"Yeah, you saying keep calm isn't gonna keep me calm. I'll be the judge of that."His arms draped across his chest, fists still clenched and knuckles white. "Daniella left to get you and it looks like she got you but why don't you have her?"
Stefan's eyes lowered to the ground shamefully."She's with Klaus."
"Klaus? Wha—Huh?!"Damon cried out with sheer confusion."Why the hell is she with him?"
Stefan closed his eyes against the demanding question. Damon's jaw tightened with simmering frustration and he crossed the room, grabbed his brother by the shoulders, and pushed him back. Stefan staggered but finally lifted his head with pained eyes.
"She wanted to trade. Herself for me. And...and Klaus jumped at it."Stefan answered in a haste, panic darting across his features as reality settled in."It's Daniella he was after this entire time. He wants her to go back."
"He..." Damon swallowed the rest of his choked-off question with a furious snarl. He whirled around from his brother with a frustrated raise of his hands.
Stefan turned his pained eyes onto his retreating brother's back. He made a stuttering move to follow but decided it was best to remain where he was.
"I tried to stop her, Damon! I tried to stop him but there was nothing I could do."
Damon's hollow laughter boomed throughout the room and he waved a dismissive hand at his brother. Elena chose that moment to stand up, looking puzzled as she glanced from brother to brother.
"He can't do that. She can resist, can't she?"Elena quietly questioned, her arms hugging her waist."She's just as old as you are."
Damon turned around with a strangled laugh.
"Dani is..."Damon paused for a moment to glare accusingly at his brother."vulnerable."
Elena pulled a face at him."Vulnerable how?"
Damon raised his eyebrows but said nothing, and instead gestured to Stefan. Elena tracked the movement with her eyes and looked at Stefan expectantly. Stefan worked his jaw wordlessly, his eyes sweeping around the room before he redirected them to the ground.
"Daniella wasn't always like she is now. There was a time where she was worse..."He rubbed the back of his neck with a sniff, dragged his hand across his neck, and leaving behind red marks."worse than me until—well, until i—"
"Until what?"Elena cut in with a confused shake of her head.
"Until Stefan locked her away for five years and starved her until she bent to his will, okay?"Damon snapped, his volume sending Elena reeling.
Elena gasped in horror, her long locks flying around her as she wheeled around to face Stefan. He met her horrified, wide eyes with a steely stare.
He cast a frown over at Damon over her shoulder."It needed to be done."
"No, it didn't."Damon hurled back sourly."She was fine as she was. Now she's weak."
Stefan shook his head resolutely, pushing away from the doorframe and trudging his way over to his pacing brother.
"No, she isn't. She's vigilant and resilient and—"
Damon spun around to face him with a broad, eerie smile and hardened eyes.
"Helpless?"Damon merrily offered, shrugging his shoulders and clapping his brother's shoulder."She's weaker than you, Stefan, and that's saying something. And Klaus is stronger than us all. How are we supposed to fight him with you hanging on by a thread, a doppelgänger he's after, and a liability he's taken captive? Am I the only sane one here?"
Stefan shrugged his brother off with a glower.
"Are you saying this is my fault?"
"Is that only hitting you now?"Damon spat out in disgust, pushing his brother back with a sneer. Stefan teetered back a few steps, a low growl rising in his throat.
The two stepped forward in unison, blood flooding their eyes and snarls ripping from their throats. Elena cried out their names as she rushed over and rooted herself between them.
"Hey, hey, hey! No."She hurried out, pushing their chests and gesturing for them to create some distance."You need to calm down. The both of you!"
Eventually, the pair complied once their fangs retracted but the tension remained. Elena looked from brother to brother in disapproval.
"This isn't what she needs. She needs you two on the same page if she's gonna get through this and away from Klaus."She lifted her head, burning eyes flickering between them."Right?"
Damon and Stefan heaved a sigh at the same time and retreated from one another. Elena lowered her hands once certain there would be no fists swinging.
"Do you know what Klaus has planned?"Elena ventured quietly."Anything that could help?
"Right."Stefan murmured, his brother humming his agreement a second later."I stuck around outside for a while just—i just wanted to be there if something happened. One of his people came out for the car telling another something about The Grill."
"The Grill?"Elena repeated with a frown, looking confused all over again.
"He had blood bags. I saw when I came in, then as I left. When he got me to start..."Stefan shifted uneasily on his feet, dragging the sole of his boot against the floor."He got me hooked on blood bags then next it was, uh—"
"Humans,"Damon concluded for his brother with an understanding nod. He rolled back his shoulders with a frustrated breath.
Elena turned expectant eyes onto Damon. He, for the second time simply to irritate his brother, made a show of rolling his blue orbs as he reached for the nearest bottle of alcohol.
"Fine, we'll work together to save her ass."He snapped the neck of the bottle and held it aloft with feigned enthusiasm."Brother's united, I guess."
The GRILL
"Now, now. Come here, lovely thing."
The golden-haired twenty-something's objection was swallowed by the ravenous snarl tearing from the hybrid's throat as he wrenched her up close. Help, help, help. The four-lettered word was on the tip of her tongue, but all she managed was a panted sob as her eyes were turned to the blinding light above her after her head was yanked to the side.
Despite her best effort she found herself unable to call for help, or even scream her terror as something sharp pierced her bare throat. The shriek of fright that wanted to sound from her parted lips was lodged in her throat, building and building the longer the fingers twisted in her hair and the piercing of her throat turned into a hungry series of moans.
Her mind just wouldn't comply. She was trapped, paralyzed with fear all because her mind wouldn't adhere to her body.
"I..."Her pale lips formed a plea, but not one that would, hopefully, bring her help. Instead, the plea that spilled from her mouth was for more."Harder."
The one responsible for her state huffed a wheezy laugh against her skin, tongue lapping across the wounds he'd created before he sank them back into her flesh. She whimpered when she was pushed back against the wall behind them, body trapped and frozen when hands clamped down on her hips.
"No, no.."She dug her nails into his shoulder with a gasped, faint plea."Please. Klaus."
Her eyes glazed over with terror when the name passed her quivering lips. Please, call me Klaus.
The tearful plea of a woman being drained of life rewarded her with no respite and Klaus responded by biting down harder. She whimpered a final time, eyelashes fluttering, body turning limp, and her clasp on his shoulders slackening. He caught when her knees buckled before she fell, hands gripping her and refusing to relent until he'd drained her completely.
"K-Kla-"
A sharp intake of breath sounded in his ear before she, finally, yielded to him. She slumped against him, head rolling on his shoulder and arms dropping by her sides. And, therefore, of no use to him. Klaus released her altogether once he realized so he stepped away from her completely and let her crumple to the ground.
"Delicious,"He rasped his exhilaration against his blood-smeared fingers, bringing them to his lips to lap at.
He succumbed to the lingering delight rippling up his spine and slouched against the wall at his shoulder. As he did his eyes were drawn to the scene unfolding against the nearby stall. There Daniella had pinned her victim the moment he'd unwisely submitted to her come hither eyes and followed her.
Daniella's face was concealed by a curtain of her long, black locks from the way she was burrowed in his neck. A few strands of black were fluttering against her cheek each time her victim expired a pained pant. However, despite the pain etched across his pale features, there was a flicker of twitching at the corners of his parted lips.
His eyes flew open when Daniella, apparently sensing that he wasn't to last much longer, pressed in close with a gratified keen, and a flush brightened high on his cheeks. His pupils dilated the more she clung at his forearms, his fingers loosening from where they'd been gripping onto her throat and, instead of trying to free himself like he previously had been, his fingers dug in.
At a passing glimpse, the pair could've given off the impression of a couple.
Could've. Klaus tipped his head to the other side, his mouth lifting at the corner as the atmosphere shifted.
Her prey jolted in Daniella's arms, his once dilated pupils contracting as his eyes glossed, and his fingers twitching against her throat. His mouth snapped shut with a choked whine that withered until he could no longer make a sound. Unlike Klaus, Daniella hadn't compelled her victim silent—she'd murmured to Klaus' that she liked to feel and hear them just before they'd hooked their targets.
"No, n—let me, let me,"Klaus' eyes snapped to Daniella when her prey began to lose his footing. She wheeled around with him, fangs still affixed to his throat, her hand latching onto the other side of his neck. Her legs hitched higher from where they'd been enveloped around the back of his knees.
He tracked her with hooded eyes as she collided with him into the wall opposite the stall, unoccupied hand flying up and bracing just above Klaus' shoulder. He turned from where he was slumped, his hand coming up and blanketing Daniella's for support.
"I've got you."He assured with a strangled, breathy lilt. He crooned his approval when Daniella tugged her victim in closer."That's it."
Her eyes flew open instantly and caught onto him, blood-red and billowing with feral desire. Her fingers flexed beneath his palm as she watched him watch her, spider veins beneath her eyes protruding with each raspy protest that emanated from her victim. She arched up into him in his final moments, her ankles locking from where they were still wrapped around him and, eyes still fastened onto Klaus, she drained him until there was nothing left.
Despite knowing so, she turned and burrowed in close in search of more.
"Ah, ah,"Rumbled from beside her with a tut."I think he's given you all he had, love."
The back of her head met the wall behind her with a muted thump when she detracted her fangs with her lifeless repast. She sucked in fresh air through gritted teeth, fangs gleaming in dull lights hovering over her and dripping with blood. Then there was a brisk snap of a neck before he was collapsing onto the floor alongside the blonde then a clunk of boots meeting the wooden floor announced that Daniella was done with her prey.
Daniella blinked the crimson away, rolled her head to the side, and looked up at Klaus. Her features hardened momentarily, looking almost startled at his presence. Everything had left her mind the moment she'd tasted blood but, now that she felt the hunger clawing at her again, Klaus was all she could see.
"I need more."She apprised him on a hitched breath, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Her once sated, hazy eyes were now alarmed with need.
Klaus narrowed his eyes thoughtfully at her as Daniella came in close, her frenzied eyes fixated on his, becoming briefly distracted with the way she lapped at her swollen lips. She tipped her head back to maintain their gaze when he pushed away from the wall to stand at his full height.
"More."Daniella demanded on a breathy inhale, still licking at her lips."I...I need more."
"Nonsense. You are more than able to survive without blood for at least..."Klaus shook his head with feigned finality. He glanced at the bodies littering the faraway corner."a week, i'd say, given the fun you had when the friends came searching earlier."
A distressed, deprived keen sounded from Daniella's throat and she whirled around away from him. She pushed away from the wall, eyes fixed on the exit and darkening over with need. She made a move for the door, only for a strong arm to wrap around her midsection. She clawed at the hand clutching her hip with a furious, strangled scream, turning her heated eyes onto him when he turned her around to face him.
"Now, now,"Was rasped against her ear as a hand smoothed down her hair, tucking it behind her ear."there'll be none of that."
Daniella pushed him away with a yell."You…!"
She raised her hands, prepared to claw at his face until a flash of amber glinting in his eyes snuffed out her rage. Her hands went still in the air, the fury once at home on her face abated until she was numb once his hands lowered her own.
"You promised."She gulped, breathing labored. She braced herself on him, hands roaming for something—anything to ease the need and sate her hunger.
Her gaze wavered from his when she felt him heave a heavy breath beneath her touch. She pressed her hands more insistently against his chest just to hear it again.
"You can have as much as you want."
The murmured reassurance triggered another keen, this time one a medley of relief and desperation. She brought herself up into her tiptoes, a black tress dangling in front of her face after freeing itself from behind her ear, needing to hear the words again.
"You can have as much as you want."Daniella's eyes shined at the sterner repeat of his vow as she pulled at him, fingers tasting the material of his shirt with flushed cheeks."But first, you have to consider something."
He wagged a ringed finger at her when she parted her lips to protest and fell silent immediately, fingers clenching his shirt in her fist. She swayed on her tiptoes as she gathered her composure, aware that he what was standing between her and contentment, aware that he wielded the power to bring the contemned to her, and she burrowed in close for his permission.
"Anything!"Daniella replied around a fraught breath, nodding with desperate urgency.
Her tongue roved across her teeth, prodded at the corners of her mouth, for any traces of blood. Until she felt a thumb brush across her chin, fingers splayed across her cheek and her chin was lifted. In a trice, the world around her and her perception ominously reduced to just them.
"Join me."
Daniella's features smoothed out following the words, her glossy eyes clearing and searching his in the wake of his words. Her grip on him loosened until she altogether released him and lowered herself back onto her feet. However, Klaus' fingers laced around his wrists before she could retreat from him and she blinked up at him dubiously.
"Why?"
She peered up at him through heavy lashes, returning his questioning gaze with a hysterical shake of her head.
"I know you're aware of my reasons,"Klaus answered, fingers rubbing into her wrists until her fingers unfurled from where they were curled into her palms.
Daniella swallowed around the burning ache in her throat, at a loss for words and furious because of it. Her tongue pressed against where her fangs were threatening to extract, an ache blooming at her jaw the longer she went without the possibility to sate her hunger.
More. Please.
"No brother who looks to tame you of your nature, no fear of being locked away all alone..."Klaus crooned his reassurances, steering her hands upwards until she complied and clasped his face. His own journeyed down her arms, swept down her sides until they found home on her waist."With me by your side, you will learn to dominate who you are instead of letting it dominate you. Instead of fearing it, you'll relish in it."
The captivating pledges rumbling from his mouth evoked a gasp of wonder from Daniella's. She found herself allowing her body to be pulled in, and simultaneously, guiding his head down to meet her halfway. Her blown eyes flickered across his faces, fleetingly widening with the simmering awe that had seized her, compelled by his ministrations.
"Isn't that what you want?"
Daniella was inherently inclined to reject the proposal. She couldn't, however, form the words needed—she was famished.
"Get your hands off of her. Now."
Daniella's eyes wavered from Klaus' heated gaze.
I know that voice. She hazily thought, recognizing the warmth stirring in her chest in response to it. She managed to find the strength, despite his insistent clasp around her, to turn from the hybrid.
"Dani."
A pair of cool, steely blues, similar to her own, latched onto hers the moment she circled around to face the possessor of the voice. A debilitating feeling of shame deluged her being as she came face to face with Damon. Daniella floundered on legs that were suddenly rooted to the ground and, with a startled mutter of her brother's name, she brought a shaking hand to her mouth.
Damon tore his eyes from the hybrid over her shoulder. His face fell when his eyes settled onto her but he pressed his lips together to keep whatever he was thinking at bay.
Instead, he reached out with beckoning fingers, willing an assured smile onto his face."It's fine. It's just a bad day. We've all been there, right?"
The tense atmosphere became even more strained when the door behind Damon was booted open. Stefan came barreling into the bathroom, the swinging door offering Daniella a glimpse of Elena rushing to keep up with him. The sight of Stefan and his immediate, horrified reaction to the heap of bodies on the ground elicited nothing from his speechless sister.
Stefan his head to finally let his glistening, appalled eyes connect with hers.
"Oh, Daniella."
