I am so so so sorry for not updating for so long! But my life just got a lot of stress smacked straight into my face the moment this summer started to near. At first I had found myself a job over the summer which I was so happy for with covid-19 still looming. it was the same place as last summer. The reception desk at a camping site outside of a amusement park. I was so relieved because I really liked working there last year but then they got out and said that they have to start their recruitment all over because they could'nt hire as many people as they had hope just because of covid-19 still going strong. So it was uncertain wheter or not I was even going to get any work. Well I was so lucky that the the one in charge of the camping site didn't want to take in any newcomers for the reception desk so me and the two I worked with last summer got the jobs again but all three of us only worked between 2-4 days/week and that was because when we worked we were alone from when the reception desk opened at 8 in the morning until closing at 7 in the evening. when one of us worked the other two had days off. So I decided to get a second work this summer. I mean seriously. I am unemployed so the summer is like the biggest chance for me to find work and to only work 2-4 days/week... Well I just didn't want that. I wanted more hours. So I found myself a second job, a waiter/casheir kind of work at a resturaunt/café/souvenir boutique I am not really sure but they had a lot going on at that place and I worked the whole summer. I started in the beginning of June and worked up until beginning of September. I just checked my calender wondering just how much I actually got to work this summer and I am actually shocked. I only had 9 days were I didn't have any work. I mean there is no wonder why I didn't have much enery to write.
Well, now chapter 27 is done! It is not as long as I would've wanted it but I am happy with it. Please read the authors note at the end of this chapter as well. I would like to get some opinons on something for my next chapter. I will NOT take orders. I just want your honest thoughts on something. That is all.
Guest1: Hehe, yeah I wasn't sure what to write so I ended it in a cliffhanger to give me some more time to think.
ArcticVixen94: Thank you so much for always giving me your honest opinion and always giving me confident in my writing. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much. I tried really hard to make sure Sesshomaru stays in charachter as much as I can.
Guest(Jasmine): Thank you for liking my story, hope you enjoy this chapter as well.
April5729: Thank you so much for liking my story, I have actually a lot of other stories that I have been working on from time to time when I get writers block on this on. It helps me getting my focus back. Though I will finish this one first before deciding which I will post next. Please enjoy this chapter.
Chapter 27.
Inu Yasha was running again, he had taken a short rest so that he could eat and drink and just a few hours, sleep but he just couldn't keep still longer than that and normally he wouldn't have cared about that. He rarely ever had to do more than that. It was only his pack that made him stay longer at camp since the humans in the pack needed more time to rest. Now though, his restlessness frustrated him to no end. Once that image of that idiot Jakotsu had popped into his head he couldn't help himself from feeling that he wanted to see him. Of course he wanted to deny the fact that it was because of him going into this heat thing but he had to at least acknowledge it now since he had been attack by some lower level demons trying to catch him and by said demons apparent signs of arousal not even Inu Yasha was stupid enough to not know what they had wanted from him. Just the thought of anyone of them even touching him like that made his skin crawl and he felt enraged that the demons had even thought they had a chance a defeating him. The heat in his body was even now growing stronger and Inu Yasha had to force himself not to think of how his body craved something or rather, a certain someone. Inu Yasha had been running nonstop since he took his break and from the scent he picked up he was still at least half a day from Edo and the well and just that thought made him force down a whimper that wanted to escape him and he narrowed his eyes in frustration. He didn't understand any of this. Of course, he knew a little bit of how youkais went into heat. But he never thought he himself would go into one as well and he absolutely did not think that the one his instincts would be craving would be that crazy crossdresser that was now living in the future. He didn't want to believe it himself still but wanted to see for himself if it was really true or if his bastard brother and that mangy wolf was messing with him so he would go and see Jakotsu and see what happens from there. His thoughts were interrupted by the scent of a demon following him and he let out an annoyed growl and speed up even more. If, whoever, that was following him was still doing it by the time he was closer to the well he would kill the demon. It wasn't a lower level demon but not a high level either. From the scent he picked up it seemed to be a bear demon and those were troublesome because they had great strength but were also sometimes really smart. Inu Yasha scoffed as he continued running. The bear was lagging behind and Inu Yasha relaxed a little but still kept his guard up. He wasn't worried about losing to this demon, but he didn't want it to follow him to close to the village of Edo.
It wasn't until about three hours later that Inu Yasha stopped to take a small break and wait. The bear was still after him and it annoyed him. At first the demon had fallen behind but then had somehow picked up speed. It probably used their surroundings to its advantage or something, but it still pissed him of. He drew his sword and was looking in the direction the bear was coming from and lifted Tetsusaiga over his head, ready to attack. Soon crashing and breaking of trees could be heard and even seen and Inu Yasha picked up a scent from the bear demon he hadn't been able to before and he sneered in disgust. 'That fucking bear is in his rut?! You got to be kidding me!' He thought, now, Inu Yasha still didn't know much about heats and such but he did know that all demons have them. He knew even less about ruts, but what he did know was that a demon that entered a rut was something to either avoid or kill before it noticed you. As soon as the bear demon came crashing into his sight Inu Yasha attacked, not wasting any time in using his go-to attack.
"Windscar!" Inu Yasha yelled out and send his sword down, letting his attack flying towards the bear demon, that had been unprepared for the sudden attack. The bear fell to the ground, dead before it even hit the ground, its body completely destroyed. Inu Yasha huffed and sheeted his sword and then started running again. He wasn't far from the well now and for that he was relieved. After he had attacked just now the heat in his body suddenly spiked and made his mind a little hazy. He shook his head a little and continued running. He took a deep breath and kept his guard up. Just a few hours later he could see the well and he let a soft sigh of relief and ran straight into the clearing and jumped down the well without even slowing down and then he was gone. He never even noticed Kagura hovering in the air above. She however noticed him and blinked in confusion.
Kagura had been sent to the well yet again to keep an eye on it. Her orders were that if the miko came to use it she was to grab the girl. But it hadn't been Kagome that had come to use the well. It had been Inu Yasha. Kagura sat on her feather for a few minutes until she looks back at the Saimyosho that had been sent with her and she mentally scowls. She really hated those insects. But right now, they would serve her agenda.
"Return back to Naraku and tell him that Inu Yasha has traveled through the well. The girl is still here." Kagura said and once the insects started to fly away, she relaxed and looked down at the well again. Her thoughts returned back to what Kanna had told her just before she left to go here.
Flashback start:
Kagura was just on her way to her room after Naraku had told her to travel to the well in Inu Yasha's forest to keep guard on it and if a chance came up, kidnap the miko when Kanna stood in front the door to her room. She raised her brow in question and Kanna motioned for Kagura to follow her and though Kagura was confused she followed her sister and once Kanna led them to Kanna's own room and closed the door after them she spoke.
"Kagura, be quiet and just listen." Kanna still talked with her normal unemotional voice and once Kagura nodded her head, Kanna's mirror started to glow and the glow grew until it surrounded them both.
"There, now no one will hear." Kanna said and Kagura blinked in shock as she watched Kanna do something she had never done before. Create a barrier.
"What is going on, Kanna? I don't have a lot of time. Naraku wants me to go and watch the well." Kagura said and Kanna slowly nodded.
"I know. Kagome has the key for your freedom. Don't lose the chance you will surely get from this mission." Kanna spoke, startling Kagura as she stared at her sister in shock. Kagome really was her chance at freedom?! Kagura shook her head and watched her sister.
"How do you know?" She asked, slightly suspicious. Kanna looked at her calmly and spoke.
"Kagome's reiki is growing stronger. She might be able to help you in a similar way she helped Lord Sesshomaru." Kanna spoke before she let the glow from her mirror vanish and she walked to the door and opened it, looking over her shoulder towards a confused but hopeful Kagura.
"You must hurry now. Unless you want to anger Naraku." Kanna spoke, making Kagura stiffen before she nodded and hurried out of her room towards her own to pick up some things, she wanted to bring with her.
Flashback end.
Kagura shook her head as she then looked down at the well. she didn't really understand Kanna, her sister had always been loyal to Naraku but at the same time she would help Kagura sometimes by not telling Naraku when she did something she shouldn't and now Kanna had told her that Kagome could help her become free. Kagura took a deep breath and made her large feather land on a bransh of a tall tree and sat down on it, letting her feather shrink and tucked it inside her kimono. For now, she would stay still and wait. The Saimyosho would return before nightfall and she could just predict what her next order would be. To go and find Kagome while Inu Yasha wasn't by her side. Kagura huffed in annoyance but she was sure that was going to be her order and if it indeed were that then she would use that order to finally escape from Naraku.
Inu Yasha landed in the future and jumped out of the well and walked outside of the well house only to suddenly feel dizzy and he gasped as a warmth entered his body and he shuddered as he forced down a whimper and he slowly walked towards the house. It felt that the heat inside his body that he had experienced since he left his friends suddenly spiked. After a few minutes of staggering he reached the door to the house and slowly and carefully took out the spare key from its hiding place, a small box, shaped as a wall ornament that Kagome's own father had made to make only those that knew of what it was would really notice. He unlocked the door and walked inside, closing the door after him. He slowly took a deep breath and then walked to the contraption that Kagome always called a 'phone' and stared at it as he slowly reached for only to snap his hand back before even touching it. He growled as Jakotsu's face entered his mind again and his body heated up even more and he let out a whimper that turned into a growl and took a deep breath and closed his eyes to try to calm down. He still didn't want to believe that he was in this kind of situation but at the same time something deep inside of him told him it was true, just the thought of seeing Jakotsu right now both scared him and made him calm. He slowly opened his eyes and took the phone and looked at the numbers that was on a paper besides the phone and slowly pressed the number that had Jakotsu's name besides it and slowly listened on how the tone of the phone started to sound. It didn't take long until Jakotsu's voice could be heard on the other end of the phone and Inu Yasha couldn't stop the whimper that left his mouth.
"J-Jakotsu…" He whispered before he realized what he just said and slammed the phone down, his face deep red from embarrassment and his heat. He closes his eyes and tries to calm down even though the heat is just getting worse. There was no way he would be able to talk to Jakotsu like this. After a few minutes he startles when the phone suddenly starts ringing and he stares at it in worry before he slowly reaches for it and picks it up.
"Hello…?" His voice is much quieter then normally which makes the half demon mentally curse himself and then he hears the voice on the other end and his whole body feels like it gets even hotter. And he slowly sits down by the phone and a soft whine leaves his lips.
"Inu Yasha? Are you okay? What happened? Are you okay? Has something happened to the others? To Kags?!" Jakotsu's voice could be heard and Inu Yasha let out another whine as he took a shuddering breath, his head felt like it was foggy and he could barely focus on the questions and was just listening to the other's voice. He blinked and shook his head to try to clear it and the spoke.
"They're fine… B-but… need y-you." Inu Yasha whispered and then his vision blurred slightly, and a larger wave of heat and he suddenly felt like he couldn't concentrate at all. As he slowly let go of the phone, which fell to the floor and he curled up against the wall in the hall way, feeling like he was burning up and whimpered before he slowly closed his eyes again let the darkness take him, he could faintly hear Jakotsu's voice but he felt like he was really far away.
Jakotsu sat in the garden with Suikotsu, Renji and Ginji, Kyoshi was out on a date when his phone started ringing and he blinked and put down the cup of tea he was drinking and pulled out his phone and looked at the caller ID and raised his brow in question. It was from Kagome´s home… well the shrine at least. And he knew that neither of the young woman's family was going to be there today since the family had decided to stay longer with Toya and had already gone to the shrine to get some more things. Jakotsu slowly answered the phone and once he heard his name being called with a slight tremor in his beloved half-demon's voice but before he could really answer the call ended with a loud click and he flinched in slight surprise and then looked at his phone in confusion and worry and then looked at the others, who was looking at him in a mix of confusion, worry and amusement. Renji already guessing who it could've been on the other end. Jakotsu slowly stands up and starts to call the number to the Higurashi shrine. Something was wrong. Inu Yasha hadn't sounded like himself. Not that he would say that to his brother and cousins thouh. Not until he had been able to confirm if it was anything serious. Though he doubted that it could've been anything all to serious. If Kagome and Bankotsu had been injured there was no way that Inu Yasha would just hang up, so it was defiantly something else, but he couldn't help but worry about it. After all, it could have been that Inu Yasha had been forced to hang up because he was needed with something.
"Sorry, need to make a call." Jakotsu just said as he walked a few feet away from the others but made sure to stay close just in case they all needed to get to the shrine. He soon gets connected and he immediately start to ask questions and he sees that the others that are with him seem ready to jump out of their seats at any notice. However the answer he hears make him take a sharp intake of air as his eyes widened slightly, a small blush on his cheeks appear and then he hears a bang, like the phone on the other end was dropped of something and he calls out to Inu Yasha but when he does't get an answer he starts hurry towards the garage to get his car, he hears Renji calling for him to 'take his time' så he figures that Renji might've pieced together that it wasn't an emergency. Jakotsu waves at them and then he ends the call since Inu Yasha is not answering. He would've like to stay on the phone, but he didn't want to risk the chance of him getting pulled over and getting fined for being on the phone while driving. Jakotsu enters the garage and hurries over to his new car, a red Toyota Camry Solara SLE convertible. Jakotsu unlocks it and gets behind the wheel and open the garage door as he starts the car and drives outside, making sure not to go over the speed limit as he hurries towards the Higurashi shrine. His thoughts running rampant as he drives. Inu Yasha hadn't sounded like himself and that really worried and even scared Jakotsu a little. Sure, the cute half demon had avoided him like crazy ever since their drinking competition but Jakotsu was confident in himself and also Inu Yasha's reaction that his feeling wasn't so unrequited as he had fist believed. Jakotsu mentallt shook his thoughts away to concentrate on his driving. For now, his thoughts would have to stay focused om getting to the shrine. Jakotsu reached the parkinglot by the stairs that led up to the shrine twenty minutes later and once he had parked and climbed out of the car he hurried towards the stairs. Locking the car with his remote and took the stairs three at the time. Once he reached the top, not even out of breath he took a quick glance over the yard, not seeing anything out of place he hurried towards the house. When he reached the door, he realized that it wasn't locked, and he stilled slightly and then slowly opened the door. He knew that even Inu Yasha knew that the door always should be locked even if someone was there since they didn't know that that loser Hojo would do next. Once the door opened however Jakotsu gasped in fear as he saw someone lying on the floor and not just anyone, there was no way he would mistake the red firerat robe and that white hair, it was Inu Yasha.
"Inu Yasha!" Jakotsu called out as he ran to him, slamming the door shut. The damn lock could stay unlocked for now. If Hojo came by Jakotsu would just beat him up for trespassing. Jakotsu reached the half demon quickly and sat down on one knee and carefully pulled Inu Yasha into his embrace and started to look for any injuries. He found none, but the other was very warm, burning up even and he looked down at Inu Yasha's flushed face and slowly placed his free hand gently on his cheek.
At the touch, Inu Yasha let out a soft whimper and leaned into the touch and slowly opened his eyes. Jakotsu looked into his eyes and saw that they were dazed and unfocused. Jakotsu looked at him with worry and opened his mouth to ask Inu Yasha what had happened but froze in slight shocked as Inu Yasha slowly nuzzled into his embrace. Jakotsu slowly looked down Inu Yasha's body to see if his clothes had been ripped or anything to see if he had been drugged by something on the other side of the well and that was when he saw the bulge in the half demon's hakama and he could'nt help but blush as he then looked into Inu Yasha's eyes again.
"Inu Yasha, what has happened? Can you hear me?" Jakotsu asked slowly. He tried to stay calm but just to see Inu Yasha in this kind of state and to openly show this kind of affection towards him was really a dream come true to the former mercanarie. He needed to make sure that this wasn't something that had been done to Inu Yasha on purpose because that would mean that his brother, Kagome and the others back in the past might be in danger and if that was the case then Jakotsu would have to try to go through the well to see if he could help. Even if he would rather stay at Inu Yasha's side. At his voice Inu Yasha let out a needy whine and nuzzled into his chest even more and looked up at him.
"I… Heat… need you…" Inu Yasha panted out as he took hold of Jakotsu's shirt, his claws shredding it. At his words Jakotsu's thoughts halted for a second as he looked down at the half demon in his arms and slowly tried to put the pieces together of what Inu Yasha had said and he blushed a little more. His hope of getting Inu Yasha to accept him grow a little bit more and he gently took Inu Yasha's chin in his hands to make Inu Yasha meet his eyes.
"Do you mean that Inu Yasha? I won't let you deny it later. I will make you mine and mine alone." Jakotsu said and once Inu Yasha had nodded his agreement Jakotsu leaned down and kissed him. Inu Yasha answering eagerly. Whimpering in need as his arms slowly went around Jakotsu's shoulders. Jakotsu's tongue slowly darted out and licked Inu Yasha's lips to ask for entrance and Inu Yasha granted his wish and opened his mouth, Jakotsu's tongue immediately dwelled inside his mouth, mapping the others mouth and coaxing the others tongue to meet him in a passionate dance. Once Jakotsu stopped the kiss to give them some much needed air, Inu Yasha was a trembling mess and Jakotsu slowly lifted his new lover into his arms and stood up, he walked up the stairs and to the guest room that Inu Yasha used while staying in the shrine before Kagome returned to the past. Once inside the room he closed the door and laid Inu Yasha down on the bed, looking into his eyes.
"I am gonna ask you again Inu Yasha, are you really fine with this?" Jakotsu's voice was a little huskier with his own arousal and once Inu Yasha gave him a nod he dived down and captured the half demon's lips with his own as he slowly started to undress him and himself.
In the Past with Kagome and the others.
Kagome and everyone had been flying nonstop until the sun was starting to set and now, they had landed in a clearing to get some dinner and then rest for the night. They were planning on continuing towards the well at sunrise. Right now, though, Kagome and Sango were preparing food for the humans in their group while Kouga, Ginta and Hakkaku were hunting for the demons in the group. Sesshomaru was still talking with Bankotsu. Being quite interested in the former leader of the Band of Seven's tale. Bankotsu had revealed to them all that him and the rest of the members of his mercenary group had been suspected of having demon ancestors and that the human lord that had govern the land were they all had grown up, albeit in different villagers, had brought them to his castle when they were only small children and then proceeded to train them to become said lords personal guards. The reason for those suspicions had been because even when they had been just children, they had been able to beat adults with ease with a strength that no human, neither adult nor child, should have. However, their lust for blood and destruction didn't awaken until that lord had killed the ones that they all had seen as family. Bankotsu and the others hadn't seen each other as brothers until after that action and they had slaughtered the lord and everyone in the castle as revenge and thus their life as the Band of Seven had started.
"Though I don't know if that suspicion it true or not. All of us were orphans so there was no way to really confirm it and as to why we still have all those strengths even now that we have reincarnated into completely new bodies, I have no clue." Bankotsu said and Sesshomaru looked like he was thinking over it before he spoke, everyone that was currently in the clearing, being curious as well.
"It could be as that human lord suspected but since you still has the strength even now in a new body I would think that instead of having demon blood running in your veins it could be that all of you were blessed by the spirits of the elements. That would explain it a lot more since the blessings of a spirit stays with the soul even after death." Sesshomaru said calmly and Kagome looked at him with interest. Sango and Miroku looked shocked. Shippo and Rin was playing with Jaken looking after them so they didn't hear what was said but they could just be filled in later if they wanted to.
"So, Bankotsu and the others may have the blessings of the spirits of elements?" Kagome asked and Sesshomaru nodded.
"I can take a guess on which spirits blessed who and Bankotsu most likely have the blessing of two spirits. The Light and Dark spirits, that would explain why he has such strength and speed. Spirits doesn't care for whether the being they bless is doing evil or good deeds. What matters to the spirits is if they like the soul that is inside said beings." Sesshomaru said calmly and Bankotsu blinked as he looked down at his hands in thought and looked up at Sesshomaru.
"If I were to describe my other brothers and cousins would you be able to guess which spirit has given them their blessing?" Bankotsu asked, he really wanted to know and when he saw Sesshomaru give him a nod he started to describe the others to the demon lord.
Kagome was smiling at the interaction. She was relieved that it seemed like Sesshomaru and Bankotsu could get along. Sango and Miroku however was shocked. Very little information about the spirits existed so to hear that the mercenaries that Naraku had revived not only had lives of their own in the future but that they might had also been given blessings from the spirits was quite shocking but they decided that they could ask their questions about this later. Right now, just listening while dinner was cooking was just as good.
AN: Alright, first of all. Sorry for the cliffhanger with Jakotsu and Inu Yasha. I am actually uncertain whether or not I should just leave if like that or try my hand as writing a lemon scene. There is two reasons why I am hesitating. One: This IS my first fanfiction so I am not certain I would be able to write a lemon that would be good. Yes I have other stories I am working on but this was the first one I started writing and I did re-write this one since the first version just wouldn't work in the long run. Two: It is against 's rules to write lemons. I know some authors write lemons and I like reading the lemons myself but since I have had problems with some guest readers as well as other users reading my story and actually harass me. Don't worry. I told these people to grow up and that if they don't like a story or a pairing then not to read my story. That is what I do. If I cant get interested in a story I just leave it alone. Same if I don't like a pairing that a story has. I don't read it. just because a story isn't to someones liking or a pairing isn't something I like I don't go out of my way to be mean to the writer.
Well back on topic. I don't know whether I should include an lemon or not. I would like to try it but I am still unsure. Of course I could just try to write one and if I am not happy with it I could just try to write an intro into it and then leave at that but I would like to hear the readers opinion. As I wrote in the AN in the beginning I will NOT take orders. I just want to know your thoughts.
Well thanks in advance.
