Hello everyone! So sorry for the delayed update. I got caught up in some pretty crazy and busy times! Plus, I've been so tired after work these past 2 weeks that it's taken a bit more time to write. So… this has resulted in a good news/bad news scenario. Bad news is I had to split this chapter into two in order to get a chapter up since I REALLY wanted to give you all an update. Good news is you now have another part after this! This chapter goes into the reception dinner and an 'interesting interaction' to lead to more lore about Heather's family. Hope you all enjoy!

({No POV})

As cocktail hour ended all the guests started making their way to their assigned tables for dinner, one such pair was extremely confused.

José and Kelsey kept looking at their assigned seats at their circular table in absolute and total confusion.

Considering that after being choked out and nauseated during the wedding, they were sooner expecting to be eating in the janitor's closet with their plates on their laps like some sort of stereotypical 'high school reject losers' unable to find somewhere to eat in the school cafeteria.

But, weirdly enough… and suspiciously, Heather and Alejandro had put their name tags on place settings on the table closest to the head table.

Not only that, but where they were 'seated' meant that they were facing toward the head table to be able to be practically directly in the line of sight of Alejandro and Heather.

But, rather than risk being written out of their family's wills, they just looked at each other and shrugged before sitting down to 'grin and bear it' for the rest of the wedding… or at least its socially acceptable to leave a sibling's wedding.

But, right as they got settled and put their napkins on their laps, Kelsey glanced over to see what loser was going to be on her opposite side.

She looked at the name tag reading 'Harold McGrady'.

Kelsey quirked up an eyebrow as she thought out loud, "Who the hell is?..." "Ah, yes! Found it!" She heard a gasping toned voice say next to her and immediately made her blood run cold and body lock up in almost pained and existential dread when she had the realization.

Harold sat next to her and looked over at her and said, "Oh hi, I thought this was just going to be the 'Total Drama Table' or something when I saw the other names. I'm Harold."

While Kelsey was still trying to process, she saw Heather looking at her from the head table just smirking at her.

Kelsey tilted her head in irritability pissed off confusion until Harold started, sounding like he was making an observation as her name card, "Oh wait! You're one of Heather's sisters, right?"

Kelsey just gave Harold a slightly annoyed glare before shortly responding and grumbling the last half under her breath, "Yes… unfortunately."

"Interesting, did you know that in many genetic cases sisters are more likely to be similar to each other due to double X chromosomes than sisters do with brothers? Since there has to be one similar X derived if the sisters share the same father then…"

"Ugh… who gives a fuck?" Kelsey grumbled in annoyance at Harold's usual 'factual rambling'.

But, unfortunately, Harold caught her saying something as he questioned, "Huh?"

Quickly Kelsey whipped her head over and looked like she was trying to save face before responding in a lie, but still sounding VERY irritated, "I said I wished they were serving duck."

Harold paused for a second before commenting, "Oh… duck actually is pretty good. I had it once when I went camping with my guide boy troop when I was 15. Did you know duck meat is actually a lot less fatty than chicken if prepared correctly and has just as much if not more nutrients than chicken as well? Even though duck is considered 'red meat' by a lot of definitions, it's actually much healthier than beef and…"

As Harold kept going on his factual tangent, Kelsey looked as if she was slowly spiraling into annoyed madness.

She was glancing over to see why José wasn't 'doing anything' or making comments. She looked over to see José also looking on edge like her, but not for the same reason.

José looked like he was trying to eat the salad that was set in front of him until he was pulled out of his zone when a girl next to him got her phone right in has and snapped a picture, causing José to almost flip out as he spouted through his teeth slightly but trying not to draw too much attention, "Do you mind?!"

The source of it was none other than Sierra, who seemed to ignore José's annoyed tirade entirely.

While the girl merely squealed in delight to herself before exclaiming, "EEEEEE! I can't believe I actually got a picture of you for my blog! The fans have wanted to know SO much about you since season 3."

She looked like she was going to update her blog right there until Cody's hand slipped into view on the other side of her and somehow managed to take the phone out of her hands. Cody gave Sierra a hesitant look as he said sheepishly, especially looking at a very pissed off José, "Um, maybe you can do this later, Sierra. Sorry about that, man. He-he."

Sierra looked miffed as she gave Cody a confused look before questioning, "But, Cody, why not? When am I ever going to get the opportunity to cover Alejandro and Heather's sections of my blog like this ever again?"

All Cody could see over Sierra's shoulder was José giving them both the death glare, making Cody gulp before saying, thinking of many reasons to prevent José from killing them both, "Well, maybe you can just do this after dinner. Or just any time that isn't now? Ya know?"

José kept glaring at Cody until he jumped when Sierra got right in his face and said, "Back off, buddy! You better stop looking at him like that and don't you even think about touching my Cody."

José leaned back slightly, wondering why this girl suddenly went from insufferably annoying to borderline terrifying him as Cody sat back in unsure embarrassment.

Eventually José and Kelsey exchanged looks before almost robotically looking back to the head table only to see Alejandro and Heather smiling down on them with sadistically amused smirks… the two clearly enjoying watching their older siblings' annoyed misery at the hands of their former castmates from Total Drama.

Then José and Kelsey felt like further having a conniption as they watched both Alejandro and Heather almost mockingly raise their glasses to them with smirks still stuck to their faces, maintaining direct eye contact all the while as they practically silently toasted their misery.

As both Kelsey and José receded into themselves in seething rage, the pair exchanged a look that said it all.

After the ceremony and now the start of dinner… they knew they were in for a long evening.

45 minutes later

After dinner, a couple wedding speeches, and Heather being gifted with her own Burromuerto long horn necklace from Alejandro's parents for marrying into their family as part of tradition, the dance floor was just starting to open up.

Of which both Alejandro and Heather were very eager to get out on the floor for their first dance.

The two decided on an Argentine Tango for their first dance at their wedding and had been choreographing and practicing the routine for almost the whole year leading up to their wedding to ensure it was nothing less than absolute 'perfection'.

Well, and especially since she knew she was having a dance with her 'two left feet' dad right after and then being followed by Alejandro having a mother who will surely show them up with Elena being a former professional dancer herself… Heather was enjoying her moment dancing with Alejandro as much as she could.

Despite everything from inviting people they hated to everything that happened between them since they met, none of it seemed to matter to either of them.

Both of them seemed much too absorbed in themselves, each other, and 'their day'.

After the dances were over with (mainly Heather suffering through dancing with her 'dancing inept' dad), Heather was looking to dance with Alejandro again when she heard a very familiar gruff voice say, "Can I cut in?"

Heather and her father looked over as other guests danced around them only to see her grandfather standing right next to them.

"Dad?" Heather's father immediately said in slight shock and confusion, considering he had never even seen his dad dance or wanting to dance in his 59 almost 60 years of living.

Even Heather was caught off guard a little by her grandfather wanting to dance with her and; much like her father, had never seen him do anything remotely close to dancing.

Even at Megan and CJ's weddings, Craig Senior never seemed remotely interested in making any attempt to dance at all.

Craig Senior always did what he usually did at every family social event, which was stand in corner nursing a glass of whiskey mixed with water most of the night.

Eventually both Heather and her father were pulled out of their states of shock as Craig Senior just grunted and said, "Here, we'll trade."

Just like that Craig Senior shoved his cane into his son's hands (leaving Craig Junior incredibly confused) as Craig Senior took his place and got in position with Heather as a new song started.

Fox trot.

Or at least a song that a fox trot was pretty commonly danced to.

Although Heather was still caught off guard, she managed to straighten up a little before commenting while quirking up an eyebrow with a slight smirk, "Don't need to use your 'damn stick'?"

Craig Senior somehow smirked back before commenting, sounding both cynical but also somehow lovingly in a way, "Don't need it right now. You're my stick. I may have a crap titanium hip, but that doesn't mean I can't dance with my granddaughter."

Heather's expression faltered slightly as she pursed her lips a little, not knowing exactly how to take the somehow 'sweet comment' from her grandfather.

Again, while Craig Senior was never a warm hearted or necessarily a nice man by any stretch of the imagination to many if not most people, he had always been nice if not outright 'grandfatherly' toward Heather… and she'd never forgotten that.

Even before that 'pep talk' he gave her when she was sulking and stewing while 'drowning her sorrows' two New Year's Eves ago at the hands of Kelsey and José, Heather would never forget another time her grandfather picked her up.

She remembered one particular instance when she was 12 around Christmas and Kelsey was taking her usual 'shallow jabs' at Heather to bully her over her appearance, she remembered her grandfather coming up to her and putting a hand on her shoulder as he said word for word, "Don't you listen to a damn thing she tells you… she's just jealous of what you've got."

Sure he took a huge gulp of whiskey after he said that to her, making her wonder even then if he was more drunk than usual.

Not that he usually wasn't in a perpetual state of being 'buzzed' as far back as she could remember, but… it was still one of those things that secretly never left her mind.

And speaking of drunk, Heather could even tell her grandfather was even more lit than usual.

Despite that; however… Heather was shocked at her grandfather actually keeping up with her on the dance floor as they went through their 'quick/slow' steps in the fox trot. Heather (for once) felt like she had no idea what to say and was perplexed no end by what she just now discovered about her grandfather.

Replaced hip, state of intoxication, or old age aside… Heather had to admit her grandfather actually had a good sense of rhythm and almost a natural smooth cadence to his steps as a dancer.

It was almost as if her grandfather was in the same state of mind as he let out a scoff (Heather now sensing the amount of alcohol on his breath to confirm what she assumed) before commenting off-handedly, "Heh. Can't believe I still know how to do this crap… Considering the last time I did this... was with Catherine."

Heather quirked up an eyebrow, now really assuming her grandfather must be drunk, as she questioned, "Um… 'Catherine'?"

Heather was in a spiraling state at who her grandfather was even talking about since she didn't even know anyone named or who went by 'Catherine' personally.

Well, until that question was almost immediately addressed as Craig Senior responded short and to the point, "Your grandma."

Heather's eyes went wide for a moment before she corrected herself.

This was the first time she ever heard her grandfather or her dad ever bring up her grandmother ever! Considering the only thing her or even her siblings knew about her was that she left their dad and her grandfather when her dad was 7… no one ever really talked about or discussed her or much less ever brought up her name even during her entire upbringing.

So the fact that she was just finding out about her grandma Wilson's name just now as a 23 almost 24 year old woman?... Heather had to admit she was surprisingly intrigued and curious to see what else her grandfather happened to divulge his 'current state'.

And it turned out Heather didn't have to wait long as her grandfather continued, "I met her when some of the boys from the steel mill talked me into going to the dance hall to drink and meet some girls. I couldn't give a damn about the girls part and was only really going to drink since the last thing I wanted was to go home to my useless and lazy parents who I was the one keeping us from being destitute at the time. So, I was just sitting around with a drink in my hand when I made the mistake of looking across the room at a pretty brunette about my age waiting by the wall with a dance card in her hand and smiling and eyeing me, Catherine Ulrika. But, being an idiotic 19 year old thinking more with my lower head rather than the one on my shoulders like I should've… I fell right into it. Ended up signing every spot she had on her dance card and danced with her all night. Next to work, all I did was spend every second I could with her after that. Eventually my parents found out I was seeing her and didn't approve, my mother even calling her a 'cheap slut', especially after they found out her 'social status' which pissed me off. After all, who the hell were they to question me as the only one doing anything fucking constructive to keep the family from falling into ruin more than we already had? Besides, Catherine didn't even give a damn about my money. I couldn't've had a pot to piss in and a window to throw it out of for all she cared! So, going against my parents, I married her after hardly a year of knowing her and as much as my parents under better circumstances wished they could have written me out all together… they didn't even have the means to do that and eventually just bit their tongue. Also, my parents were older when they had me and my older brother who was 15 years older than me died during the war… so, I was the only heir. And they pretty much had to deal with what I wanted to do or get rooked. But, I guess that was the one and only time I probably should've listened to my mother about jack squat. My parents both died a couple years after we got married we ended up having your dad pretty quickly after the wedding anyway. At first I didn't see the signs, I was doing well at the steel mill and climbing the ranks faster than I could think. I spent a lot of time working and I was finally starting to get some real capital coming in by the time I was 25. But… it didn't matter. It didn't matter how much I earned, provided, or anything to Catherine. She lost interest in me. And of all the schmucks that slut had to leave me for, it had to be my damn driver. But, the most pathetic part of it is, as much as she totally double crossed me and played me like a total teasing tramp… I still love her. Even though I have no damn idea where that woman even is or if she's still even alive or not, I couldn't look at anyone else the same. And as much as she drove me to be a perpetual old drunk like I am now… she's the one that lost. Cuz she'll never know that she ended up leaving something even more than me and your dad. Something better than your dad… and even me."

Almost immediately after her grandfather unpacked all of that, he gave Heather a slight grin as the music set wrapped up and gave her a kiss on the cheek, making Heather realize he was referring to her at the end.

He gave her a slight squeeze on her shoulder as he grinned a little before nodding his head slightly at her, practically almost beaming with pride in his own way at her.

Heather was looking at her grandfather in almost confused fascination as he hobbled off the dance floor and ripped his cane out of her dad's hands before making his way to the bar again.

Heather stood there as she continued to process what was going on until Alejandro came back and took up with her again after dancing with Heather's mother in the meantime, but he hadn't taken his attention off Heather for most of the set and particularly he noticed that her grandfather seemed pretty 'talkative'... or at least talkative as far as her serious and stone faced grandfather was concerned.

Eventually Heather and Alejandro got in step as Alejandro cautiously probed, "Your grandfather seemed to have a lot to say. Anything interesting?"

Mostly Alejandro was showing he was wondering if 'he' was the topic of Heather and Craig Senior's conversation. Heather; however, could sense this but didn't really want to talk about what her and grandfather talked about concerning the only information she's ever gotten about her grandma Wilson… but she didn't really seem to want to divulge information that wouldn't make a difference whether she told Alejandro or not.

Honestly, it wasn't really anything she wanted to talk about anyway, especially on their wedding day.

Instead, Heather shrugged before saying, "Don't worry about it. I think he just forgot to tell the bartender to water down his whiskey honestly. Besides, I should be saying the same about you. Anything you told my mom you wouldn't like me to know."

Although Heather was mostly teasing as she smirked and caused Alejandro to smirk back as he responded with a slight shrug, "Nothing you wouldn't have liked to hear yourself, mi ángel. Or I suppose I should say 'mi esposa' now, sí?"

Heather gave him a slight look and still holding her teasing smirk as she replied, "Even now, you're never going to quit it are you?"

Alejandro's smirk continued to hold as he said, "On the contrary, if anything I'm only just starting… Mrs. Alejandro."

Although letting a smirk slip, Heather rolled her eyes with a scoff as she said, "Just shut it and dance."

"As you wish." Alejandro responded simply with a grin as the two went in step together on the dance floor.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the Wilson family lore I put in place here via Craig Senior talking about his MIA wife, Catherine. Since Craig Senior is 80 years old by this point in the story and even though I was overjoyed to hear you enjoyed his passive aggressively dunking on Elena earlier on during the reception (Lol XD), I wanted to include a nice moment between himself and Heather here. I kind of alluded to it during his interaction with Elena that he had been drinking a little heavier than he usually does and that caused him to be a little more open and honest about things. And since MANY of you have been asking to know more and MORE about Craig Senior, I thought I'd take this opportunity to share some information about Craig Senior's one and only love, Craig Junior's mother, and Heather's paternal grandmother; Catherine Wilson. But, as you guys saw, it seemed like feelings weren't completely mutual and Catherine clearly wasn't interested in being a 'rich man's wife' and instead and sadly decided to leave her husband and son without warning for someone she found more 'exciting' and ran off with the Wilson's family driver and caused Craig Senior to become (while high functioning) a borderline alcoholic as a way to cope with his wife leaving him. Yikes! But, in all this with him kind of letting more of this information go to Heather through some drunk oversharing, he did finish it off with a nice sentiment of saying and showing how proud he was of Heather as his granddaughter. In the show, Heather never seemed like a girl who got a lot of love, praise, and support from her parents, so I wanted to make Craig Senior in my fanfic the one and only family she ever had who truly did always love and support her. Sure he's a crotchety old hardass, but he's a good grandfather to his favorite granddaughter. :) But, this isn't the end of Heather's family! In the next chapter I plan to introduce the last member of Heather's family that was mentioned in the series who I have not yet introduced. I'll leave you all to make your guesses as to who it might be. Haha. ;) Anyway, thank you all for taking the time to read and constructive reviews are always most appreciated!

Stay classy and safe my internet friends!
