So for Natsu's outfit, this will be throughout every chapter, his outfit will basically be the same as Trevor Belmont's outfit in season 2, the one from the Netflix series, not the game, but instead of the Belmont crest it will be a dragon crest on his back and chest, but anyway enjoy.

10 minutes of running later, Outskirts of clover town
"Their old but persistent I'll give them that," Lucy said slumping down against a tree, Gray and Elfman doing the same, "Wow Lucy if that got you tired you really do have to lose some weight," Happy said snickering, "IM NOT FAT!" Lucy shouted furious, "Stupid cat," she muttered out.
"We should probably stay here overnight and wait for the trains to start again," Erza stated while walking towards a clearing in the trees, Makarov hummed in agreement, Lucy and the rest stood up and followed Erza.
Natsu stood to the side of everyone looking into the night sky 'there doesn't seem to be anything in the area so we're safe for tonight' and also began to walk towards the clearing, Makarov joining him in stride.
"So my boy, is what Lucy says true?" Makarov asked quizzingly, "Heh yeah old man don't you worry not here to kidnap anyone of your guild workers…although me saying that would make me even more suspicious," Natsu said hands in his pockets and giving off a small laugh, to which Makarov also does "I can tell when someone is lying to me my boy so don't you worry, and I much prefer the term children, I think of all my guild members as my family," he said looking up at the sky before looking back down at the path in front of him, "sounds like you're running one hell of a day-care old man," Natsu said pulling a bottle of whiskey out of his jacket, "Care for a drink?" Natsu asked pushing the bottle in front of Makarov as they walked, Makarov watched the bottle for a few seconds before looking up at Natsu, "I'm more of a mead man myself," he replied looking back ahead of him, not a second later a bottle of mead was being hung in front of him, Makarov took the bottle before looking at Natsu with a strange look "I carry a few bottles round with me everywhere I go," Natsu said shrugging his shoulders and taking a swig from the bottle of whiskey, Makarov hummed in response.
"So a friend of Lucy's mother ey," Makarov stated taking a swig and then speaking again, "care to tell me her second name I haven't had it mentioned to me yet?" Makarov asked his eyes darting to look at the response on the mans face, only to see him staring at the girl in question as she talked to Happy and Gray about the fight that happened, the way his eyes changed from a hardened look to a softer one surprised Makarov, "That's not my place to say, she'll tell you all in due time of course, but not my business," he said tucking away the bottle and taking in a deep breath, Makarov smiled up at the man and nodded, finishing his bottle he placed it on the ground as they approached the clearing, him and Makarov stood up against a stone and waited for the tents to be put out, "So if you're protecting her I assume you'll be joining the guild," Makarov said as he watched Erza mark out the area for the tents
"Yeah, I guess I will be…I don't need to do any trial or anything?" Natsu looked down at the man, who simply shook his head "Although I wouldn't mind knowing your magic, to block a hit from a demon, you must be pretty powerful?" the old man looked up at Natsu to see him looking at Happy being chased away by Lucy, "Me, I'm just a simple fire mage," he said summoning a small flame in his hand dispersing the flame he placed his hand back down by his hip and spoke again, "I prefer to use my swords in a fight though," he said grabbing the hilt of his katana and unsheathing the blade, Makarov got his first good look at the blade, it was as dark as obsidian, so dark it seemed to absorb the light around it, an intricate pattern of crossing lines led all the way down to the blade collar, which was a ruby red, the handle was also a stunning mix a deep black and ruby red, all in all the sword was stunning.
"Beautiful," were the only words that escaped Makarovs lips, he almost felt disappointed when the blade was sheathed, "I did try my best when I made it," Natsu said folding his arms across his chest,
"You know Erza over there is a swordswoman herself, you should challenge yourself to see how long you can last," Both set of eyes watched as she summoned her luggage and forced the others to help her set out the camping equipment, Natsu hummed in interest before pushing himself off the rock he was stood up against and walking off towards the group, "I might take you up on that offer," he said looking over his shoulder,
"What an interesting man," Makarov spoke to himself, "things are going to start to get fun around here,"

As Natsu approached the 5 sat around the campfire, Erza was the first to speak up "Natsu I'm afraid I only have enough tents for 5 people, I apologise for not seeing this situation unfold, please hit me," she said once again bowing down in front of him, Natsu looked as the other 4 sweat drop at Erza before rolling his eyes and speaking and he did putting his finger underneath Erza's chin and lifting up as he spoke, "Instead of that, why don't I take first watch and then who ever I switch with ill take there tent and so on and so on?" he said Erza now standing up straight, Erza again went red before nodding "Yes I suppose that's an easier fix," she said turning around and walking towards her tent "Lights out now, we have to be up early to be back at the guild for the afternoon," as she said that Elfman and Gray said there goodnights and also went to bed, Happy going into Gray's tent with him, Makarov nodding to Natsu before also heading into his tent.
Natsu grabbed a bed roll and rolled it out across the ground laying himself up against the stone everyone had been sitting at, "Don't you think you should be going bed too as well, Erza doesn't seem like the type of woman who likes being ignored," Natsu spoke quietly to the only person who was still sat there, "Yeah I will in a minute, I just like looking at the stars," Lucy spoke quietly, Natsu also looked up at the sky, thousands of little starts lighting up the night sky, "How much more like your mother do you wanna get?" Natsu let out a little chuckle before looking over at Lucy who was staring right at him, "Wh-what do you mean?" she asked
"Layla would watch the stars for hours and hours each night, was her favourite hobby by far, I'm guessing she also did it with you when you were a kid huh," he said moving out of his sleeping bag and sitting next to Lucy, "Yeah we used to sit and watch them for hours till the maids came and told us of," she let out a quiet giggle before smiling up at the stars again, Natsu looked at her and spoke "Why did you run away from the mansion," he said those words quietly so no one who was eavesdropping would hear them, he knew for sure Makarov was, Lucy looked at him for a few second's and spoke
"I'm guessing you spoke to my father?" She asked, "yeah, he called me a little under a week ago," he said pulling out his bottle of whiskey again, "A week!" she whisper shouted, "That's all it took for you to find me," she slumped down depressed, "I thought I was good at getting away," she pouted and yawned at the same time, she looked at Natsu and then at her hands before speaking, "I was tired, tired of always being trapped in my room all day, tired of being treated like a statue, he wouldn't even look at me at the dinner table, he hated me, he was more bothered about his work than his own daughter, I just couldn't handle it anymore, he just-he just wasn't the father I knew anymore," she said her quiet sobs racked her small frame, suddenly she felt a cover go over her back, as she looked back up at Natsu who had taken off his cloak and put it round her, "I hated it when your mother used to cry, so don't you go doing it too," Natsu sighed and sat back down grabbing the edge of his cloak and wiping away the remaining tears, "I knew Jude changed after your mother died, but I didn't think anything like that would happen," he said staring up at the stars, "next time I see him I'll give him a good slap," he said laughing slowly, "Wont do much but you can slap him too if you want," too which they both laughed at, Lucy pulled the cloak round her more and looked at Natsu and smiled "Thank you Natsu," she said slowly yawning after.
"Yah know I was in Pergrande when he contacted me, so I would have gotten to you earlier but," he interrupted himself as he took a swig from the bottle, "I had a tad of a distance to travel to get here so," again taking a swig from the bottle, "but I got here in the end anyway," He finally said putting the bottle to his side he took off his harness which was keeping his blades where they were, he placed them down by where he was sleeping before looking back at lucy…who was fast asleep, Natsu sighed and picked her up 'I guess nearly dying today does tire someone out' carrying her into her tent, tucked her in and left her tent, taking out the katana from its harness and holding the sheath in his hand, he prepared for the night shift.

6 hours later
Natsu woke up, sweat lining his body his shirt chucked to one side of the tent and his sword and backpack next to him on the floor, he had switched with Elfman after an hour or so and had gotten his beauty sleep.
It was currently 5 am so that would mean not everyone was awake and he could go find a stream to wash off, he put on his shirt and left his tent to only see the sleepyhead herself fast asleep drool dripping from her mouth, 'So Lucy took the last shift' he walked over towards her and tapped her on the head with the hilt of his katana waking her up, "Huh, I wasn't sleeping," she said wiping the drool from her mouth and standing up, "Oh Natsu h-hi," she said staring up at him, "Go back to my tent I'll do the watch for the last hour," Natsu said looking over her at the tent.
"But I have to do my time on the watch, It's not fair on everyone else," she said stubbornly, Natsu looked at her then back at the tent, then shrugged his shoulder and kept walking towards the small stream he saw when they were running away yesterday "Suit yourself but I don't think you're going to get any bandits at this time in the morning, and even if there were, I'd know," he said turning his head and winking at her before disappearing into the bushes
5 minutes later he ended up at a small stream, unwrapping his bandages from his arm, he took off his shirt and pants and threw them in the stream with him, he then undid his hair from his bobble, the small gold chain in the shape of a dragon staying around his neck, after that he stepped into the stream and slowly increased the temperature of the water, 'I do love my perks sometimes' he thought to himself
After about 10 minutes of soaking he stepped out of the stream and dried his clothes before putting them on, he then re-did his hair into the bobble and walked back towards the camp.
As he approached, he could hear more snoring, coming through the bushes Lucy was once again asleep, deciding to leave it like that he sat down and let time pass

4 hours later everyone was on the train heading back to Magnolia the trip to the station was mostly filled with happy teasing Lucy about finding her asleep earlier, to which the cat would get a nasty hit on the head from Erza every time, Natsu had put his cloak and backpack into the storage compartment for the trip.
"So Natsu, that symbol on your shirt what does it mean," Erza enquired, it was the first time a lot of them…actually all of them were seeing him without his cloak on, Natsu looked down at his chest at the symbol of a dragon on his chest and shrugged "This was given to me up in the country of Bellum," he said, he took a swig from his canteen he kept in his jacket pocket and spoke again, "It was an ancient village who worshipped dragons, and after doing them a few favours they gave me this, had it ever since," he said putting away the canteen.
"You're a well-travelled man then?" Erza asked, Natsu looked at her before shrugging "I just get around I guess,"
"What's the furthest away place you've been," Lucy asked, turning her head from looking out the window, Natsu looked at her for a few seconds before racking his head for an answer "Hmmm, if id have to say for distance," Everyone leaned in anticipation of the answer "It would be the continent of Giltena," he finally said closing his eye's and leaning back, "Giltena, my my that's an awfully long distance, what did you do there?" Makarov finally spoke up, Natsu opened one of his eyes to see Makarov hadn't turned his head to speak and was still staring out the window, "…I went to meet an old friend of mine who lived up there, hadn't seen him in a few years so I surprised him a few years back," Natsu said, Makarov only hummed in answer.
"So Natsu," Gray asked, "what type of magic do you use?" this again got everyone's attention excluding Makarov who already knew of course, Natsu opened his palm and started a small flame, "Just your run-of-the-mill fire mage, sorry to get your hopes up," quickly dispersing the flame Natsu stared out the window as the rest of the trip was uneventful

Magnolia 2 hours later
Fairy tail was having a quiet afternoon when all of sudden the doors to the guild hall flung open revealing everyone from the clover trip, with Happy flying in and announcing their arrival "We're back!" Happy shouted from just above the guild door, a chorus of cheers and shouts could be heard from around the hall, all welcoming the members back
"Master Makarov, where have you been, I thought the meeting ended yesterday," Mira asked, "Well I would have been here last night if it weren't for these knuckleheads making a crater out of the masters meeting hall," he said jokingly, "Aye Mira because we're back, can I have a fishy," that cat asked lay on the counter of the guild, Mira picked up a fish and threw it in the cat's direction.
"Mira, can you pass me the guild stamp, we have a new member," Makarov asked Mira, nodding she picked up the stamp and passed it over, "NATSU!" Makarov boomed towards where he was sat, said man was admiring the guild 'hasn't changed one-bit' flashes of different members scattered throughout the hall flashed through his head, gone as quickly as they came, Natsu walked over to Makarov, "Where do you want your stamp and what colour," Makarov quizzed, Natsu thought for a few seconds before rolling up his sleeve revealing a line of bandages on his right arm, he rolled the sleeve up towards his shoulder where he stopped, "Just on the shoulder, in red," he asked facing in the way of the stamp, Makarov obliged before jumping up to the second-floor balcony, "LISTEN UP BRATS!" he boomed to the guild members.
"We have a new member today, so id like you all to make him feel welcome," he said pointing at Natsu who had already ordered himself a drink," Natsu…wait what's your second name, "it took him a second to realise he didn't even know the boy's second name, well he didn't know Lucy's name either but that could wait, "NATSU DRAGNEEL!" Natsu boomed for everyone to hear, a loud chorus of cheers sounded out around the building.
"And after the day I've had I think it's time for a party!" Makarov announced from the top of the railing
And as soon as it was announced it had begun the party started with everyone buying Natsu a drink, which he certainly didn't mind, then after a few hours, it was time for Cana to challenge the new member to a drinking contest.
"So hunk, you think you can handle your drink," Cana said leaning over showing a tad too much, but Natsu wasn't going to complain and handed him a bottle of rum, Natsu looked at the bottle then up at Cana, "I think I can handle my drink just fine beautiful, but don't come crying to me when you end up losing," he said winking at her, Macao stood in between the two of them and started counting down,"3-2-1,"
2 hours later
"yoush know yosh ain ba-bad at thish," Cana said a keg of some form of alcohol in her hands, Natsu who was missing his shirt laughed "I've had plenty of time to sort out my tolerance," most of the guild hall was asleep, the only ones awake were Mira, Makarov and Lucy,
"Who do you think will win," Lucy asked both Makarov and Mira, "Cana has been are champion drinker for a while now," Mira said thinking, "But looking at this, Natsu doesn't even seem the least bit drunk, while Cana, well Cana is-" as she was about to speak Cana's head hit the table and she was asleep,
"And that adds to my tally of drinking wins, she was a toughie though," Natsu said standing up, stumbling slightly,
Both Mira and Lucy watched as Natsu stood up showing off his chest area, to which both girls glowed red, Gray was naked all the time, but Natsu was something else, his entire chest covered in scars, a set of 8 abs set around the stomach area,
"Holy," Mira whispered under her breath, Mira bent over to whisper to lucy across the bar, "You sure I can't have him protect me," Mira said sarcastically, making Lucy go bright red.
Natsu found his shirt and put it on, much to the dismay of the two girls, and walked over to the bar, stumbling every few steps,
"Right I have a minor, very slight minor problem…I have nowhere to stay," he said smiling and throwing his hands behind his head.
Mira was about to say he could stay in the guild hall, when a better idea popped up in her head, "Why don't you stay with Lucy for the night?" Mira asked, putting her finger to her chin to pretend to think about it.
"I don't hav-""that's a great idea Mira," Natsu interrupted Lucy, "C'mon Lucy," he said walking towards the exit, Lucy looked back at Mira before sighing and walking towards Natsu "I'll get you back for this," she whispered "He-he," was Mira's only response.

"You're going to have to sleep on the couch, its not very big either," Lucy said unlocking the door to her apartment, she stepped in and switched the lights on, "that's fine, I've slept on worse Natsu replied, taking off the harness which kept his weapons secure and putting them against the wall, he walked into the apartment and sat down on the couch, "Cosy," he said whistling, "I'm going to get changed and then I'm going bed so you'll be doing the same," she said grabbing her pyjama's and walking towards the bathroom, Natsu gave her a mock salute "Yes mother," he said sarcastically which got an eye roll from Lucy before she went into the bathroom,
Lucy got changed and washed her face, splashing herself with cold water to calm herself down, 'C'mon Lucy, it's a boy, just because it's your first-time home alone with a boy doesn't mean it has to be weird, you're making it weird' she thought looking at the mirror again before banging her head on the edge of the sink, steeling herself, she walked in,
Snoring, that's all she heard, very soft snoring, not what you would think of when associated with him, another thing was, he was shirtless, Lucy breathed in and out slowly, switching off the bedroom light and getting into bed, 'Jeez guy could have a least a little more class'
