Hello everyone, your Nutty Buddy has a Christmas present for all of you! A new Chapter of Chaos Unleashed! I know, I know, I've been unable to meet my deadline once again. I'm sorry, though in my defense, Alpha Sapphire has truly been a beautiful game to play, with the right amount of nostalgia and awesomeness mixed in. Too much water, bah, screw you IGN, I give that game a 9.7 out of 10. Not to mention I scraped by this semester with straight Bs, as well as dealing with a lousy manager at my job. But enough about me, here's the next chapter of Chaos Unleashed, with someone new to do the disclaimer.

Yusei: "So I just read these lines and I'm good to go?"

NuttyBuddy792: "You got it Yusei!"

Yusei: "Alright then, here goes. The following is a non-profit fan-based fanfiction. Yugioh, Yugioh GX, Yugioh 5D's, and Yugioh Zexal are all owned by Konami, 4Kids Entertainment, Toei Animation, Studio Dice and Kazuki Takahashi. Please support the official release!"

Chapter 18: A New Magician Arises

The Master grinned as he spotted the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon tormenting Yugi. His sharp eyes watched the screen hungrily, wondering if a key player was about to leave the chess board. And speaking of chessboards:

"Your move, Master," Matthias said, sitting at a table on the far side of the room, away from the Master's monitors. A chessboard was sitting in front of him and it looked like the game was approaching the endgame.

"Is that so?" the Master asked, not looking away from the screen, watching the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon destroy Valkyrion in a beautiful wall of fire. "Move my bishop to E3 to capture the knight you just moved there."

"But you didn't even look at the board!" Matthias exclaimed in shock, "How could you have possibly known I would make that move?"

The Master shook his head, chuckling the entire time as he gave Matthias his unsettling "all-knowing" look. "Because, Matthias, you are like a well oiled machine; efficient, lethal, and predictable! You always use your knights for defense in the endgame in order to set up your rooks for the surprise checkmate! So you move your knight into harm's way in order to try and sucker me into another move, meanwhile maneuvering your rook into checkmate position as I try to manipulate around the knight. A clever ploy, but not clever enough. Your turn again!" The Master turned back to the monitor as Matthias moved the Master's black bishop as the Master commanded. Matthias then placed his hand under his chin and analyzed the board, deep in thought.

"Once again, your chaotic strategy has caught me off guard," Matthias rumbled.

The Master laughed. "I thrive in chaos! It's what I do! Now sure, I have had to deal with an annoying doctor every once in a while because he likes things being orderly, though not as much as you do Matthias. You've got that knack, borderline OCD if you ask me, but you keep things in order. There are times where order is needed to get the job done. Not my usual MO, granted, though when you think about it, going from chaos to order, then back to chaos fits my MO perfectly."

"Being unpredictable does have its advantages," Matthias agreed, frowning at the situation on the chess board.

"There's a difference between being unpredictable and being chaotic," the Master noted, "Take Thomas here, for instance. He tries to keep his opponent off balance with unpredictable moves, but he relies on order. It's a big reason why I brought him into our fold, even if the poor fool actually believes what I told him."

Maze Exit

"My great-grandfather may have been your best friend, but that doesn't mean a thing now!" Thomas yelled, "My Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon will put you in your place!"

"I've faced plenty of ultimate monsters in the past," Yami countered, "So far none have truly succeeded. Now finish your turn!"

Thomas grinned. "I will enjoy seeing you squirm out of this one. I've heard all the stories, I've studied the replays of all of your famous Duels. I know how these Duels go. I've got you backing into a corner and now you're about to break right out of it! I end my turn!"

"My move then!" Yami declared as he drew a card. He looked at it, wondering just what it meant.

"That's the Magical Girl card we found this morning!" Yugi said, "It's one of those Tuner monsters!"

'Yes,' Yami agreed, 'But we don't have any monsters on the field to use her, so we'll have to keep her in our hand for now. We'll just have to make do with the other 3 cards in our hand.'

"So, Pharaoh, what do you have for me?" Thomas asked. By the edge of the fire circle, the once separated groups were trying to bring the others up to speed.

"That's awesome Leo!" Luna said as her brother finished his part of the story, "You saved Akiza and defeated that ninja!"

"Totally! That'll show the Master I'm not the weak link!" Leo said with a flourish.

"Leo, you're anything but a weak link," Yusei said.

"Tell that to the Master," Leo shot back, pride still wounded from the incident despite the success, "So how come you haven't Dueled Luna? Everybody else has except for Crow and you."

Luna looked off into the distance, unsure. "I don't know Leo, everything's been happening so quickly. Yesterday seems so long ago, despite the fact that we all had a great time at New Domino Park. Besides, we were attacked by those guys in black masks, though I don't think the Master expected them to win."

Yusei frowned. "It's almost as if today was a test."

Crow overheard that bit. "Test? You don't mean…"

"Yeah, I do," Yusei said, "Tomorrow is only gonna get tougher."

"I'm cool with that if it means I get to see some more awesome dragons like this one!" Dani chirped, watching the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon eye Yami like a hungry wolf.

"You can admire the enemy's dragons later," Jack rebuked, "Right now, Yugi needs to pull the right cards to turn this Duel around!"

Yami halted the chatter by playing a Spell card. "I activate the Swords of Revealing Light! Now for the next three turns, you can't attack!" Three swords made of brilliant white light shot down from the sky, each one of them at least ten feet tall, and formed a barrier in front of Thomas and his Ultimate Dragon.

"Stalling for time," Thomas noted, "Interesting. Could it be the King of Games doesn't have a real move to play this turn?"

"Other than Summoning Big Shield Gardna in Defense mode?" Yami asked rhetorically as the warrior with the giant shield appeared in front of him, holding the shield up defensively.

Big Shield Gardna: Atk 100, Def 2600, LV 4

"With that, I'll end my turn," Yami said simply.

Thomas nodded as he drew a card. "Well well, it seems as though you have bought yourself a few turns. I Summon Red-Eyes Wyvern in Attack mode and then I'll call it a turn." True to its name, a wyvern that looked very similar to the Red-Eyes Black Dragon appeared on the field, growling menacingly. The growl was a bit comical, compared to the rumble Red-Eyes Ultimate emanated as it paced around the arena like a cage tiger, glaring at Yami behind the Swords of Revealing Light.

Red-Eyes Wyvern: Atk 1800, Def 1600, LV 4

"Just a couple more turns," Thomas said calmly, mirroring the glare from the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. One of the swords faded from existence, signifying the passing of the turn

"Come on Yugi!" Crow shouted, "Take this dude down!"

"Let's go Yugi!" Leo cheered. The Pharaoh drew his card, holding his breath unconsciously. He let it out as he saw the card.

"Dark Magician Girl?!" Yugi exclaimed, "She doesn't have nearly enough Attack points to stop that dragon!"

'Patience, Yugi,' Yami admonished mentally, 'Our Deck is trying to tell us something. Maybe we should listen.' Out loud, he said "I'll place one card facedown and end my turn."

"Alright, turn two of being unable to attack," Thomas commented as he drew a card. "Your move, Pharaoh." Another light sword disappeared, leaving only one in front of the three-headed Red-Eyes and his master. The Ultimate dragon made a half-hearted attempt to pass the barrier provided by the last Sword of Revealing Light, but the light sword was up to the challenge and repulsed the Red-Eyes.

"This next draw is going to go a long way in deciding who wins the Duel," Yusei noted.

Yami drew a card and looked at it. Once more the wolfish grin appeared on his face. "I sacrifice my Big Shield Gardna in order to summon the Dark Magician Girl!" Big Shield Gardna dissolved into a purple energy that coalesced in front of Yami. The energy turned into hearts before erupting into a column of pink and purple energy that dissolved, revealing the famous female spellcaster in her famous pink and blue outfit.

"Looks like we'll be seeing the Dark Magician shortly," Thomas noted, an excited smile on his face. After all, as much as Yugi needed to go down, Thomas really wanted to see the best the man he had heard so much about had to offer.

"That's exactly right!" Yami said, "Reveal facedown card! Sage's Stone! Since I have a Dark Magician Girl on my side of the field, I can now Summon Dark Magician directly from my Deck!" The Dark Magician Girl gave a little squeal of excitement as an archaic portal appeared next to her. Through that portal stepped the purple-robed magician everyone in the group knew so well.

"Welcome to the party Master," Dark Magician Girl said as he surveyed the battlefield, "Looks like you're just in time for the fun part."

"Remember, a magician always takes his or HER battles seriously," Dark Magician admonished, "And this definitely does not look like a creature to take lightly."

Dark Magician Girl stuck her tongue out at him. "You're right, but walking around all serious all the time is no fun."

Thomas laughed. "Not even the Sorcerer of Dark Magic will help here."

"Who said anything about Summoning him?" Yami asked, causing Thomas to lean forward. "I play the Spell Card Dark Magic Twin Burst! Now my magicians can combine their strength, giving Dark Magician the extra Attack points from Dark Magician Girl!"

"That's one heckuva combo!" Dani commented.

"Hmm, it seems even Yugi is getting new spell cards to surprise me with," Kaiba noted, "I'll have to remember that as I calculate my odds for our next Duel."

"Really?" Dani asked sarcastically, "You're thinking about Dueling Yugi even as he's Dueling for his life? You really need to get your priorities in order."

"I'm the head of a major gaming corporation and currently the second best Duelist in the world," Kaiba shot back, "Once I beat Yugi and reclaim my title, I'll have once again proven that I'm the best at whatever I choose!"

"Conceited much?" Crow murmured just loud enough for Dani to hear, which drew a laugh from the female Blue-Eyes Duelist.

"You have no idea," Dani said, "This knucklehead spends the night in my hideout and then has the nerve to ask why I don't have his signature coffee blend."

"The kind that costs a hundred dollars a bag?" Crow asked incredulously.

Dani nodded. "Rich-boys. What are ya gonna do?"

"Nothing wrong with having a good cup of coffee in the morning," Jack grumbled, "So long as it isn't some cheap knock-off brand found on the corner market." Fortunately for him, no one else heard but Akiza, who wisely decided not to comment on it in order to prevent more bickering. While that little exposition had ensued, the Dark Magician Girl held her staff up and touched it with the Dark Magician, transferring her power to him.

Dark Magician: Atk 4500

"Now your Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is outmatched!" Yami declared, "Attack, Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl!" An orb of dark magical energy appeared where the two staffs connected.

"Now!" Dark Magician Girl shouted

"Twin-Dark Magic Attack!" both magicians shouted as they fired a beam of pure dark energy at the three-headed dragon across the field. The beam hit the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon right in the heart, causing the dragon to roar in agony before it collapsed and disintegrated, the backlash from the attack washing over Thomas, who was grinning despite the pain.

Thomas LP: 1900

"Nice, Yugi's back in the lead!" Leo celebrated.

"He's definitely got the advantage now," Jack said, "But the way Thomas reacted to that attack, I don't think this set him back that far."

"One less Ultimate Dragon to worry about!" Yugi said, "Though he's got that Red-Eyes Wyvern on the field and we can't attack any more thanks to that Magic card."

"And with Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon gone, I'll end my turn," Yami announced.

Thomas laughed. "You truly are a spectacular Duelist." The red-eyed man picked up a card from the top of his Deck and plucked another out of his hand. "So I'm curious as to what you'll do to stop this move. First I'll banish my Red-Eyes Wyvern from play in order to Summon a very valuable dragon to the field!"

Dani perked up at that. "Hold on a second, is he Summoning what I think he's Summoning?"

"Behold, the dragon rising from the darkness the shines with the purest black metal! I call you forth!" Thomas chanted, "Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!" An inferno of black flames erupted beside Thomas. From the center of the flames flew the metallic version of Red-Eyes Black Dragon and much like his counterpart, the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon's red lines that accentuated his black armor began glowing brightly.

Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon: Atk 2800, Def 2400, LV 10

"He did!" Dani said, "Yugi's in trouble guys!"

"How so?" Yusei asked, concerned.

Dani pointed at the metallic dragon. "I have a copy of that dragon and I know it has a very powerful special ability."

"Finally, someone who knows her dragons!" Thomas exclaimed in relief, "I was beginning to think only Allana knew something about dragons, and that was from being close to me. Yes, Blue-Eyed Maiden, my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon is one of the more powerful Red-Eyes cards out there and he can bring back an even stronger dragon, one that will end this Duel!" Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon roared and flew above the arena, gathering energy within its mouth. The metal dragon roared and unleashed a beam and red beam of energy that hit the ground and opened up a portal in the ground that frothed with dark red fire.

"This can't be good," Yugi cried out as the force emanating from the portal unleashed several shock waves that buffeted everyone.

Thomas laughed. "Thanks to the Darkness Metal Dragon, I can now re-Summon the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from my Graveyard!" The three-headed Red-Eyes clawed its way out from the portal with an earth-shattering roar, glaring at the two magicians who had sent him to the Graveyard not too long ago.

Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon: Atk 4000, Def 3000, LV 11

"And next I'll activate Stamping Destruction in order to get rid of the final Sword of Revealing Light!" Thomas noted, "Since I control a Dragon type monster, I can destroy one Spell or Trap card on the field and deal 500 points of damage to the owner of that card!" The Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon began glowing with a red aura as it grabbed the remaining light sword on the field and proceeded to crush it. The sword shattered from the immense power of the dragon's claws, buffeting the Pharaoh with the shards and leaving several scratches up and down his arms.

Yugi LP: 1500

"So it comes down to this," Thomas said, "My two dragons against your two magicians. We both have a card in our Magic and Trap zone, one active and the other waiting to be activated. Do you have the cards needed to wiggle out of this predicament, Pharaoh?"

"You don't have to do this!" Yami said, "You can stop this senseless violence now. You have valuable information about the Master that we could use. You don't have to be our enemy; you could help us take down the Master to prevent more chaos and destruction."

"You don't comprehend the Master's power," Thomas said, "What he will bring to this world is far beyond comprehension."

"Then educate us!" The Pharaoh said, "What is in this future that is so compelling that you are willing to put your life on the line for?"

"Me? I just want to settle down with Allana and do good for this world," Thomas said after a pause, "I don't care what the Master does with the world after he's in charge, so long as he leaves me alone."

"So it's world domination again?" Kaiba groaned, "What is it with these psychos that compel them to take over the world?"

"I don't know," Thomas snapped, "All I know is that in exchange for helping the Master bring peace to the world, which involves introducing chaos, I and whomever I choose will be left alone once the resistance dies down."

"Introducing chaos," Yami repeated slowly, remembering the dream Yugi shared with him, "Thomas, you are making a grave mistake in supporting the Master! I have seen what the Master will do to our world and it is a world I want no part of."

"The Master has the power to right so many wrongs in this world," Thomas shot back, "I don't see where the mistake is. There will always be those who resist change. They do not comprehend the good this change will bring. I'm sorry Pharaoh. You did so much good in your time, but that time is long past. The age of the Master has begun!" Thomas glared at Yami, who remained un-intimidated by the red eyes.

"I have a bad feeling about this," Luna murmured, holding Kuribon tightly.

"Let's end this Duel!" Thomas shouted, "I will now attack the Dark Magician Girl with my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Go, attack with Blast Burn!" Leo covered his eyes as the metallic dragon flew high into the sky, glowing with a red aura before it dropped down to the ground, fire erupting from the ground as it landed. The red aura seemed to traverse into the ground, zooming towards the Dark Magician Girl who vanished in a column of red-black fire that erupted from underneath the female spellcaster. The Dark Magician watched in horror as a single pink ribbon emerged from the inferno, slowly catching fire until it too was gone, signifying the Dark Magician Girl's demise.

Yugi LP: 700

"And now for the coup de grace," Thomas said, closing his eyes, "Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, end this now. Crimson Fire Blast." The three-headed dragon roared and began gathering fire in its mouths before firing three streams of fire that swirled together and streamed towards the Dark Magician. Thomas turned around to hide a tear. "Goodbye, my Pharaoh."

"I'm not leaving just yet," Yami said, "I activate a Trap!"

"What?!" Thomas shouted, whirling around to see the card Yami had just activated. "Magician's Selection?!"

"Yes," the Pharaoh confirmed, "Since the Dark Magician is under attack, I can now defend him with a monster from your side of the field." The Dark Magician waved his staff and fired a beam of energy that struck the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and dragged it, kicking and roaring, into the path of the incoming torrent of fire. The unwilling dragon was consumed by the flames, but Dark Magician was left unharmed. "This Duel is not over yet."

Thomas LP: 700

"We may be tied in Life Points once again," Thomas conceded, "but you have no means of Summoning a monster strong enough to take out the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. I will end my turn with a facedown."

"That was a close one," Yusei commented.

"Hang in there Yugi!" Leo cheered.

Akiza held a hand over her chest. "This Duel is making my heart race like crazy!"

Thomas laughed. "Your heart is not the only one that's racing, Black Rose. I haven't felt this much excitement in a Duel for a long time now."

"This is what Dueling is all about," Jack said, "pitting one man's very soul against another."

"Or woman," Dani added with a warning glance.

Jack took it in stride. "Or woman. It's a battle of who you are and how well that fares against another. When two similar souls collide, the battle can get very intense." Kaiba smirked, but said nothing.

Yami drew a card and looked at his hand. "Yugi, I believe the time is now."

"Let's hope this works," Yugi replied.

"I now summon Magical Girl to the field in Defense mode!" Yami announced. A girl in a purple witch's outfit appeared on the field next to the Dark Magician, using her quill to furiously scribble some last second notes into her magic notebook before holding a wand in front her, creating basic defensive wards in the air.

Magical Girl: Atk 100, Def 100, LV 1

"Grandpa never told me about that card," Thomas commented, "Why did you summon her?"

"Because," Yami said with a grin, "She's a Tuner monster." The look of sheer shock that passed over Thomas' face nearly caused Yusei to burst out laughing. He glanced at his friends, who had similar looks of surprise.

"Tuners didn't exist in Yugi's time," Crow noted, "So why does he have one now?"

"I don't know," Akiza said.

"Seems like the King of Games always manages to pull a card he needs exactly when he needs it," Dani commented.

"How do you have a Tuner monster in your outdated Deck?" Thomas asked, confusion written on his face.

"It's unfortunate how I came across this card," the Pharaoh replied, "Someone obviously didn't see her potential and cast her out into the streets of this city, what you call the Satellite. I felt her spirit and decided to give her a good home. Now, it's time to perform what is called a Synchro Summon."

"No way!" Thomas shouted, "Where'd you get a Synchro Monster?!"

Yami shrugged. "I don't know, but whoever it was that left these Monsters down in that maze obviously knew what they were doing. So now I Tune my Magical Girl with the Dark Magician!" The Magical Girl waved her wand once more, becoming surrounded with dark runes before transforming into a single bright star. That star expanding into a bright purple ring that surrounded the Dark Magician, who dissolved into seven more bright stars, each tinged with a purple light.

"We are actually watching the King of Games perform a Synchro Summon, right?" Dani asked Crow, "I'm not hallucinating or anything, am I?"

"I doubt we're all having the same hallucination together," Crow answered, looking on in awe.

"Dark forces from beyond the cosmos, hear my cry! Your loyal strength shall now burst forth from the depths of my heart!" the Pharaoh chanted, holding the white Synchro Monster high above his head before throwing it onto his Duel Disk, "Synchro Summon! The Legendary Dark Magician!" The seven stars erupted into a brilliant white light that blinded everyone but Yugi and the Pharaoh. As the light faded, everyone got a good look at the new magician. He was similar to the Dark Magician in most respects, though the color scheme was very different. A purple aura glowed off his pitch black spellcaster armor, reflecting along the gold and silver accents in the armor hypnotically. The Legendary Dark Magician twirled his black staff a couple of times, white hair peeking out from under his black helm. The years of studying dark magic had turned his skin blue, though this just added to the mystique and power this new spellcaster emitted.

Legendary Dark Magician: Atk 3000, Def 2400, LV 8

"Whoa!" Yusei said, sizing up this new spellcaster, "Nice!"

"And next I'll activate his special ability!" Yami announced, "When this monster is Synchro Summoned, he destroys all Magic and Trap cards on the field." The Legendary Dark Magician twirled his staff before planting it in the ground, unleashing a wave of dark energy that obliterated both Traps on Thomas' side of the field.

"Not bad," Thomas admitted, "That spellcaster really suits you Pharaoh. A pity it can't stand up to Red-Eyes, even if you had Magic Formula."

"I'm not done!" Yami countered, "For every card destroyed by this effect, my Legendary Dark Magician gains an additional 300 Attack points!" The remains of Thomas's Traps were absorbed into the Synchro Spellcaster's staff, causing the purple aura to flare a little before settling back into its hypnotic pattern.

Legendary Dark Magician: Atk 3600

Thomas paled. "This could be trouble."

"Oh it's going to be a lot of trouble for you," Yami declared, "Because every time I activate a Spell Card, this Spellcaster gets two Spell Counters, which will increase his Attack by 100 points each. I now activate the Spell Card Pot of Greed to draw two more cards, which means two Spell Counters for my Legendary Dark Magician!" The Pharaoh drew two cards as two green orbs appeared around the Legendary Dark Magician's staff.

Legendary Dark Magician: Atk 3800

"Looks like your luck's run out," Yami said darkly, "For now I activate Magic Formula and equip it to my mighty Magician!" The mystic book that appeared from the Spell card was absorbed into the staff. Two more green orbs of magical energy appeared around the staff, indicating the additional Spell Counters added to the Magician.

Legendary Dark Magician: Atk 4700

"No freakin way," Thomas breathed, watching the Magician advance towards his dragon, "He actually did it."

"Attack now, Legendary Dark Magician! Dark Void Attack!" the Pharaoh yelled. Thomas could only watch as the Spellcaster created a black hole in front of him, sucking the Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon into it. The Legendary Dark Magician then sent the orb of raw energy into the sky, where it exploded like a brilliant firework and destroyed the red symbol for potential floating above the group. The red firewall died down, leaving only a few streetlamps and the glowing Signer Marks for light.

Thomas LP: 0

"Thank you," Thomas said as his mark faded from his palm, "That was a brilliant Duel. May we meet again." With that, he strode over to his Duel Runner and activated it.

"Hold on, we need answers!" Yusei shouted, darting forward.

"Everything will be answered tomorrow," Thomas said cryptically, "But you better prepare yourselves for some Turbo Duels, as the Master will not be holding anything back." With that, he climbed on his Runner and roared off into the darkness.

"You did it!" Yugi celebrated.

"We did it," Yami corrected, allowing Yugi to take control once again.

"Yusei!" Akiza cried, hugging the Head Signer as he turned back to the ground.

"Akiza!" Yusei said simply, hugging her awkwardly. "I was worried about you. I have something that I have to tell you."

"I was so scared," Akiza said simply, looking into his eyes. "The Master knew. He knew about me, the Arcadia movement, Sayer, he knew… I nearly became the Black Rose again…"

"It's okay Akiza," Yusei said, grasping her by the shoulders and looking gently into her eyes, "The Black Rose is gone. You aren't ever going to become that witch again. I promise." The two looked at each other lovingly for a moment.

"Oh for God's sake, just kiss already!" Dani prompted. Akiza glared at her for a second before squeaking with surprise as Yusei did just that and kissed Akiza on the lips. She melted into the kiss and the two shared a loving moment under the streetlight.

"Well it's about time," Crow said with a smirk, startling the two apart. Both Yusei and Akiza were blushing furiously, made even more apparent by the red glow from their Signer Marks

"Yuck," Leo said, looking away and feigning he was vomiting.

"So what's the plan, do we give chase or do we find a place to spend the night?" Kaiba asked, indifferent to what was going on. Luna stifled a yawn, something that was not unnoticed by the Kaibacorp executive. "I vote we find a place to sleep in order to renew our attack on the Master in the morning."

"I'm with Kaiba on this one," Crow said, stretching his stiff limbs, "I'm tired of running around mazes. I just want a nice little cot to chill for the night."

"Where are our Duel Runners?" Jack asked, glancing around, "With the distance we traveled in that maze, they're bound to be a good distance away." There was a high pitched roar before a brilliant crimson light lit up the street. The Crimson Dragon came weaving its way through the street, roaring as it went.

"The Crimson Dragon?!" Yusei gasped as there was a brilliant white flash. As everyone blinked to try and restore their eyesight, Jack bumped against something metal.

"Well I guess that answers my question," Jack commented, "The Crimson Dragon brought our Duel Runners right to us."

"Neat," Dani said, rubbing her eyes. "Same seating arrangements as before I'm guessing?"

"I don't see why not," Yusei said as he climbed onto his Runner. "We can head out to the Enforcer hideout for the night and try to pick up the trail in the morning."

Dani sighed. "Hey Crow."

"Yeah?"

"Don't be a prick this time."

"You got it." The trip back to the hideout was uneventful and it was a tired group of heroes that made their way through the mess of a hideout, on their way to the meager sleeping quarters.

"Women and children get first dibs," Yusei said as they entered.

"Who says chivalry is dead?" Dani asked with a yawn as she grabbed a pillow and a blanket, found a corner by the wall and began to make herself comfortable.

"You don't want a cot?" Yusei asked.

"Naah, I'm good."

"Suit yourself," Yusei pulled out the cots from the closet. The twins took a cot, as well as Akiza, Yugi, and Crow. As the room settled down and people began to drift off, only two people remained awake. One of them got up and began to stalk towards the entrance. The other followed. Kaiba was deep in thought as he went for his little stroll. The Master was truly an insane man who had to be stopped, but what about afterwards? How were he and Yugi going to get back to their own time? He didn't trust this Crimson Dragon, despite the show of good intentions. As he circled around the block, a little noise caught his attention.

"Who's there?" Kaiba demanded, holding up his Duel Disk, "I'll warn you only once."

"Relax rich boy, it's only me," Dani said, stepping out from behind the pile. "Just seeing where you were off to at this time of night."

"Why do you care?"

Dani shrugged. "Us Blue-Eyes Duelists have to stick together."

"Trust me, you know as well as I do that you don't deserve to use the Blue-Eyes White Dragon," Kaiba said.

Dani put her hands on her hips and treated Kaiba to her best glare. "What makes you say that? I can get a Blue-Eyes White Dragon out faster than you and I'm pretty sure if I had your Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Shining Dragon I'd be better than you."

Kaiba laughed. "As if. There can only be one master of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon."

"Per time period, sure," Dani said, "Two master Blue-Eyes Duelists like us working together should be able to take on anybody, even the Master."

"Don't flatter yourself," Kaiba said, "You have much to learn if you're ever going to get on my level."

"On your level?!" Dani laughed, "Look, rich boy, your level was left behind long ago. Why the Crimson Dragon decided to drag your sorry ass to the future and not Joey or someone else to the future is beyond me, but you're gonna learn something really quick if you keep this damn arrogant wall up. That Dragon Ruler guy? I'm pretty sure he was taking it easy on you, like all the other minions the Master sent up against us."

"What's your point?"

"You don't have to be so damn abrasive!" Dani said loudly, not noticing that she had attracted the attention of two brothers who had been stalking the hideout. One was dressed in street clothes, but the other was in a full samurai armor outfit. While Dani told Kaiba off, the brothers were moving into position.

"And furthermore-" Dani continued before a silver firewall encircled the group, lighting up the whole square. "Sonuva bitch! In the middle of the night?! Really?"

"Can you think of a better time to strike than when your enemy is tired and disoriented?" the man in samurai armor asked the symbol for bushido glowing silver on his chest plate.

"You really don't want to face me," Kaiba said, "Run along, you two, or you'll only get yourselves hurt."

Dani squinted in the darkness. "Who's that behind you?"

"You didn't say anything about Dueling Dani," said the younger brother of the two as he stepped out from his brother's intimidating shadow.

"Noah?!" Dani exclaimed, stunned, "You're part of the Chaos Movement?!"

"No, my brother Alex here is," said the blonde haired man. He was a decent looking young man, strongly built despite the lean years spend on the Satellite. His brother was even bigger, more strongly built in order to hone his skills in the way of the warrior. He couldn't quite rival Julius' strength yet, but given a few more years there was no doubt that Alex would reach that kind of power. Alex's long black hair stuck out from under the helmet, tied back in a ponytail. His face was fierce as he glared at both Blue-Eyes Duelists. "He asked me to come along to take out a couple of Duelists his boss wanted gone, he didn't mention it would be you and your boyfriend."

Dani made a face. "He most definitely is not my boyfriend. He's an egotistical time traveler who's going to help me kick both you and your brother's butts!"

"If I must," Kaiba sighed.

"Things are heating up," Alex boomed, "The Master doesn't want anymore failures like earlier, which is why I've been sent in. You two are going down! My Samurai are looking forward to slicing your Blue-Eyes White Dragons to bits, Kaiba."

Noah looked at him incredulously. "Kaiba? Really?"

"Will you just shut up and Duel?" Kaiba asked.

And there we go! Hope you felt it was worth the wait. Yugi has stunned everyone with a Synchro Summon. What did you guys think of it, as well as the tender Yusei/Akiza moment? The Legendary Dark Magician does not belong to me; he belongs to a guy named Batmed on Deviantart, as well as the other Synchro Monster in Yugi's Deck. Please check out his other works on there as well, he truly does have some wonderful ideas Konami should really look into.

As you can see, the winners of the fan votes ended up with Dani and Kaiba winning with 8 votes, though Yusei and Kaiba were a close second with 7 votes. The Dani and Akiza pairing was a distant third with 4 votes and the Jack/Kaiba tag team, the one I expected to do really well, ended up last with 3 votes. The fans have voted, so here it is! After their Duel, we'll see the flash to the past Duel with Joey, and then we'll get back to the main story.

Responses to guest reviews (in which they reviewed)

Guest: The Master is not Cell, from DragonballZ. He's not going to host a tournament, he's too crafty for that. Luna will duel in good time, please try to be patient with me. Yugi will not be able to watch Joey duel, the temporal plane is unstable enough as it is with the current time travels, watching someone duel in another time could cause collapse…I'm just messing with ya. Yugi will have a gut feeling about Joey's duel, but he won't be aware of it. Joey's Deck will be mainly based on the Battle City Deck, though he'll have most of his cards from the Waking the Dragons arc, which this fanfiction is set shortly afterwards.

Guest: Crow will be dueling soon enough, please try to be patient with me. There will be no clones, I hope you like Yugi's new Synchro monster, Kaiba doesn't need another Blue-Eyes, he's already got 3, and thank you for the kind words

MaleficKing: I'll just respond to both your reviews here. I thought about giving Kaiba the Light End Dragon, but I've got another idea to get him a Synchro monster, though that won't happen for several chapters yet. As for the whole Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon destroying itself (literally), I hadn't seen the Japanese version, so your words were a shock to me. I'll figure something out to cover for that. Huh…That explains why Kaiba never used it again.

Guest: It may not have been just you writing all those posts, the whole sibling rivalry issue you seem to be having is not really that pertinent to the story, the sexist comment was for the one who asked to kill Dani off, effin prick, I do see what Leo goes through and while I'm trying to keep this like the anime as much as possible, I do try to add my own spin to it. Leo won his duel earlier. He's doing pretty good for a lad his age. As for your grammar, punctuation and proper spacing is your friend, even if it ain't your strong suit. That anti-troll post was directed to all the trolls, not just you. At least you had the guts to admit some of those posts were you.

Guest 2: Time Wizard is with Joey, so Yugi can't use him. I thought about a Christmas Duel, but I've got enough on my plate as it is. So this is my Christmas present to you all instead.

Guest Kageyama: that has got to be the worst OC submission I've ever seen (small sample size? Maybe, but yeesh), not to mention I already closed the OC submission list, so Kageyama is not going to appear

Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Reviews are always welcome, as is any and all respectful criticism. As an author, I'm always looking to improve.

Merry Christmas to those that believe!

Happy Hanukah to those that believe in something else!

Happy Holidays to those that don't believe!

And to all a Happy New Year, peace on earth and goodwill towards all!
