Hi guys, it sure has been awhile. There were a lot of factors keeping me away from this story. One, the Christmas holidays. Two, January was a rough month overall. Three, I turned 21 on the eleventh of February, so I wasn't exactly sober for a few days, ehe. Four, college is in full swing. 16 credits, including linear algebra, which is not as easy as it sounds. Five: Alpha Sapphire and the New Smash bros. I have finish the National Pokedex on there and earned nomination as the Maryland Gym Leader (via a hoodie I bought online) as well as picked up a new character to use since they nerfed Luigi. And six: Pokémon battle commissions. Feel free to check those out when you have the time. So yeah, I've been busy these past few months. So busy that I forgot that it's been over a year since I published the first chapter of this story you all have come to love on January 22 of 2014. 19 chapters, 25K views, 145 views later and this story is still going strong. Thank you all for being so supportive as I try to provide the best story I can. But that's enough about me. Here's another exciting chapter of Yugioh: Chaos Unleashed!
Kaiba: Really? Why are you making me read these stupid lines?
Nuttybuddy792: come on Kaiba, work with me here, it's just a few lines. Just get it over with and we can both be on our merry way.
Kaiba: Fine. But I expect proper compensation. The following is a non-profit fan-based fanfiction. Yugioh, Yugioh GX, Yugioh 5D's, and Yugioh Zexal are all owned by Konami, 4Kids Entertainment, Toei Animation, Studio Dice and Kazuki Takahashi. Please support the official release!
Chapter 19: The Sword and the Dragon
Dani didn't know quite how to react. On one hand, she was about to Duel alongside the first Master of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. The fangirl inside of her was swooning with delight at the thought of an epic Blue-Eyes team up. On the other hand, her rational side now knew Kaiba was kind of a jerk, which took some of the joy out of the situation. Not to mention she was Dueling with her life on the line once again, against her rival and his big brother. She had always respected Noah, even though his Six Samurai Deck always managed to irritate her to no end. In the back of her mind, her current four game losing streak to Noah was trying to wreck her confidence. Ever since Yugi and Kaiba had landed on top of her, she hadn't expected to run into Noah until afterwards, as sort of some epilogue to the adventure. She glanced at Kaiba, who was arming his Duel Disk in preparation for the upcoming clash. She admired, albeit grudgingly, how calm he was in the face of all this madness. Sure, Dani was projecting (at least she hoped she was) the same cool and calm demeanor as Kaiba, but on the inside, she was tired, irritated, and on the verge of freaking out. One doesn't simply deal with the supernatural on a daily basis and not remain unaffected.
"God, I'm really glad I'm not a Signer," Dani muttered as she attached her own silver and blue Disk to her left arm, "I don't know how they put up with this."
"All four of us with start with 4000 Life Points and will alternate turns," Alex explained, "Also, we can use our teammate's monsters as our own for whatever purpose we deem fit except for battle. Lastly, none of us can attack on the first turn." Noah gave him a curious glance, but said nothing. He trusted his brother to not use his monsters unless he absolutely had to, but he suspected that rule was more of a test of their opponent's ability to work together. If that really was Seto Kaiba over there like Alex told him, though he was still skeptical about that, then this Duel was going to be very interesting. And speaking of Kaiba…
Kaiba rolled his eyes. "Whatever gets this done and over with." He was irritated at the delay and wanted to simply get this misadventure done and over with. He had had that gut feeling, ever since the night the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon had mysteriously returned to his Deck that something was going to happen, especially given the peculiar dream he had had that same night. When Yugi and his gaggle of cheerleaders had shown up asking for help with the god cards, Kaiba knew he was going to get sucked into some mystical game once again. Still, that particular dream had surprised him. In the dream, several Blue-Eyes had flown about the night sky above the very city he was now Dueling in, roaring, when a bright light came down from the heavens and landed in front of Kaiba. When it dimmed, Kaiba saw it was the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, the card that had destroyed itself during the Pyramid of Light debacle. The Shining Dragon had roared and transformed back into a ball of light, flying at Kaiba's chest. When it struck, the Kaibacorp executive had awoken in a cold sweat. When he examined his Deck the next morning, the most powerful Blue-Eyes card in existence had manifested itself on the top, despite the fact that he knew it wasn't there the night before. Normally, Kaiba was the kind of guy who would look a gift horse in the mouth, but for this situation he let it pass. He wasn't going to pass up on a card that gave him a better chance of beating Yugi. For the time being, he had these knuckleheads and their Six Samurai, whatever that was.
Alex laughed. It was a booming laugh, one that carried equal parts confidence and power. "Kaiba, you will be quick to learn that the warriors of the Six Samurai are no pushover. Just ask your friend over there just how powerful these mighty warriors are!"
"Oh piss off!" Dani shot at him, ignoring Kaiba's inquisitive glance. "I've been one card away from winning each time I Dueled Noah, I just got unlucky, that's all." She then met Kaiba's gaze, addressing the Kaibacorp executive's unspoken question. "So I've had a bit of a losing streak recently, especially against Noah. Snapped it when I beat that zombie maniac, thank goodness for that." She shuddered at the memory, her fear always there in the back of her mind whenever the unpleasant subject was brought up. "The Six Samurai rely on teamwork in order to activate all their special abilities. So, in order for us to win, we have to try to keep him to one Monster on the field at a time. Got it?"
Kaiba simply nodded. He wasn't in the mood for a snarky comment that would annoy his temporary teammate. He hoped she was ready for this, because he was not going to drag her along with him if she started struggling. "Just stay out of my way and I can take care of these two no problem."
Dani gritted her teeth, biting back a much fiercer retort. "Look rich-boy, you're gonna have to work with me if we want to win this."
"I don't do teamwork," was the curt response. Kaiba was staring down his opponents and ignoring Dani's glare.
"You worked well with Yugi just this morning," she pointed out. The memories seemed so long ago to her, granted much had happened in between, but she knew she was going to remember that first Duel for as long as she lived.
"If you can't work well with Yugi, then you don't deserve to own a Deck," Kaiba retorted.
"Alright, I'll give you that," Dani conceded, "It helps to have the King of Games for a teammate. But still, haven't you ever Dueled alongside Mokuba before? Someone you might actually care about?"
"I Duel well enough for three people," Kaiba snarled, "I don't need people dragging me down. Now are you going to play twenty questions all night long or are you going to Duel?"
Dani glared at him as she finally activated her Duel Disk. This was going to be a loooong Duel. "Kaiba, I swear, if this wasn't a life and death situation I would beat the crap out of you!" To his credit, Kaiba ignored that one. When you're the head executive of a major corporation, you tend to hear death threats quite often. One more simple threat wasn't going to faze him.
Alex LP: 4000 Noah LP: 4000 Kaiba LP: 4000 Dani LP: 4000
"Quite the couple, aren't they?" remarked Alex to his brother as they watched that exchange.
Noah gave him a look. "I know Dani well enough to know that they are definitely not a couple, not unless she's had a major personality shift in the past couple of days."
"Whatever you say little bro," Alex said, "Just keep riling her up, it seems to be taking her out of the game. You wanna take her while I take out Kaiba? I've been looking forward to this."
Noah shook his head in disbelief. "I still can't believe that's Seto Kaiba over there. Hasn't he been dead for years?"
"Time travel," Alex said simply, "The Master uses it a ton. He went back and got me a card that I'm sure will win us this Duel."
"Nothing is certain until the last card is played," Noah warned.
Alex laughed. He was enjoying keeping his brother in the dark. Given Kaiba's history with the card the Master had given him, he was looking forward to seeing everyone's reactions if he could summon this particular monster. "Trust me Noah, if I get this card on the field, its game over for both of them." He directed his attention towards his opponents, Dani having just activated her Disk. "If you two are done with your lovers spat, I think I'll start this Duel off." He drew six cards from his Deck to form a hand while everyone else drew the standard five.
"We are definitely not in any sort of relationship," Dani growled, "Jeez, everyone seems to think that."
"I'm only judging by what I see in front of me," Alex said defensively, though a grin on his face told Kaiba that he was going to enjoy needling Dani. "I summon Shien's Footsoldier in Defense mode and I'll end there." A baboon wearing samurai armor and wielding a pike appeared in front of Alex, crouched in Defense position.

"Doesn't seem very tough," Kaiba remarked.
Alex grinned. "There's more to monsters than mere Attack points." Kaiba nodded. It was going to take more than some minor insults to mentally shake this guy. Alex had passed that little test easily enough.
"Fine, then it's my turn," Kaiba said.
"Hold on, rich-boy," Dani interrupted, "Whatever happened to ladies first?"
Kaiba scowled at her as he drew a card anyways. "I don't see a lady here. You haven't done a single thing that qualifies you as a lady."
Dani scowled right back at him, much to the amusement of Noah. "We can't all have been raised by a freakin billionaire."
"Multi-millionaire, there is a difference," Kaiba corrected with a dismissive wave of his hand. "I'm the one that made Kaibacorp into a multi-billion dollar industry."
"Whatever! Let's see you survive on the streets for a week," Dani shot back. She then turned and faced Noah, who was snickering. "And you can shut up over there. You picked the wrong night to mess with me."
Noah shrugged and took a cue from his brother. "You shouldn't have started yelling at your boyfriend; otherwise we might not have noticed you two at all."
"For the last time, he is NOT my boyfriend!" Dani shouted, throwing her hands into the air in frustration. "Say that one more time and so help me God I will come over there and strangle you!"
Kaiba turned and faced Dani, getting her attention. "What?" she demanded, glaring at him, "Isn't it your turn?"
"I'm only going to say this once," Kaiba said with disappointment obvious on his face, "You need to focus on this Duel. You've let a few comments completely fluster you and you haven't even had a turn yet. Stop paying attention to what they're saying and focus on your next move."
Dani paused, surprised by the helpful advice. From what she had seen from Kaiba, he didn't just freely give out advice like that. Flustered, she couldn't even come up with a sharp retort "I, uh, well, umm, it doesn't help when you're making half those comments." She knew he was right, but she didn't want to give him the satisfaction of being right. She knelt to the ground and took a couple of deep breaths, looking at her cards as she did so. She stood back up and nodded at Kaiba, ready to continue.
"Focus on the Duel," Kaiba repeated, a smirk on his face as he lectured her, "I'm not going to waste my time supporting you. I summon Vorse Raider in Attack mode and place two cards facedown. That'll do for my turn." A dark-skinned warrior clad in green armor and wielding a wicked double-bladed axe appeared in front of Kaiba, grinning evilly as he hefted his axe in preparation for battle. 2 cards appeared behind the Vorse Raider, lurking in the background.

Noah drew a card unceremoniously, studying his hand. He scowled at his hand, then grabbed a couple of cards "I'll activate Six Samurai United to start my turn." A green card appeared face up on the field, the glowing silhouettes of each of the Six Samurai hovering over the card.
Kaiba waited for an effect to take place, but when none was forthcoming, he frowned. "What was the purpose of that?"
"It's like a Pot of Greed, but it doesn't take effect until later," Dani explained, "it depends on how many Six Samurai he can summon before sending that card to the Graveyard."
"Glad to see you haven't forgotten our last Duel," Noah said with a cheeky grin, playing the other card he had plucked from his hand. "I'm also activating Gateway of the Six." A large, elaborate pagoda appeared behind Noah, the symbol of the Six Samurai glowing brightly on the door to the pagoda as 6 notches around the symbol glowed dimly in the night light. "This also relies on how many Six Samurai we're able to summon. For example, I now summon Chamberlain of the Six Samurai in Defense mode." The pagoda door opened up and out stepped a samurai in a mecha suit, a glowing cybernetic eye reminiscent of Terminator giving him a fierce glare as he took up a defensive position in front of Noah.
Chamberlain of the Six Samurai: Atk 200, Def 2000, LV 3
As the Chamberlain held his sword in the guard position, two lights on the top of the door of the pagoda lit up and a little bushido symbol appeared above the ghostly auras of the Six Samurai. "As you can see," Noah explained, "For each Six Samurai I summon, two Bushido counters are placed on the Gateway of the Six and one more Bushido counter is placed on Six Samurai United. That'll do for my turn. Looks like you're up Dani. Let's see if you've gotten better since our last Duel."
The female Blue-Eyes Duelist drew a card, glaring at Noah the entire time. "You got lucky that last Duel and you know it! I'm Summoning Luster Dragon in Attack mode!" A dragon slightly taller than Kaiba appeared in front of her, sapphire scales gleaming in the silver firelight. The dragon growled as it crouched on all fours, wings flared as it readied for battle.
Luster Dragon: Atk 1900, Def 1600, LV 4
"I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn," Dani announced. It wasn't the worst starting hand in the world for her, but it wasn't her best either, especially considering her opponents. She really hoped Kaiba wouldn't be a complete jerk this Duel.
"The table has been set!" Alex announced, drawing a card, "Let the battles begin!"
Old Enforcers Hideout
Yusei's mind was still stuck on one thing as he lay on his cot; that kiss from Akiza. It wasn't quite the setting he had had in mind for his first kiss with Akiza, though part of him had had doubts that it would ever get to that point with her. He could still feel her tender touch on his lips. It had taken him quite awhile, but he had finally realized just how much he truly cared for Akiza. Yusei hardened his resolve in taking down the Master, if only so that he could spend some more time with Akiza. Was it a selfish reason? Perhaps, Yusei mused to himself as he glanced over at the sleeping Akiza, but time spent with a loved one was immeasurable in terms of wealth. He watched her sleep for a moment before something outside the window above her cot caught his attention. It seemed a bit too bright outside, even for the Satellite. On nights when the moon would shine brightly, it would shine from above, not below as this silver light seemed to be coming from.
"Something's not right," Yusei murmured to himself as he quietly rose from his cot, taking care not to disturb the others. He stepped over a sleeping Crow on the floor and carefully made his way over to Akiza's cot, where he could look out the window to see the source of this light. When he saw the glowing silver bushido sign in the sky, he gasped in surprise.
"Someone must be Dueling against the Chaos Movement," he said to himself, "But who? Everyone's here in the hideout." He looked around the room, accidentally bumping Akiza's cot in the process and stirring her out of a pleasant dream generated by the kiss they had shared earlier. "Wait a second, Kaiba's missing. So's Dani. This isn't good. Hopefully they're watching each other's backs, but from what I saw from them today, I doubt it"
"mmm, Yusei," Akiza moaned, coming out of her sleep but still stuck in that area between dreams and reality, "come snuggle with me."
The Head Signer was torn, as hormones fought logic in a brief battle before he shook himself, pulling on his jacket and gloves in preparation for leaving. "Sorry Akiza, maybe later."
"Huh?" Akiza came fully awake in time to see Yusei dash out the door, "What? Yusei?" She looked about bewildered and her hair tangled from sleep, looked out the window to see the symbol hovering in the sky. "Oh. Crud." She began to get her hair back into place, as even an hour's worth of sleep was enough to mess up any woman's hair. "I don't know how Yusei always manages to keep his hair like that. Boys will never know the struggle." It took her some time, but Akiza finally managed to get her hair under control and in its usual style before she ran out the room after Yusei, accidentally stepping on Crow's outstretched pinky in the process. The Blackwing Duelist promptly awoke with a muffled yelp, eyes opening in time to see Akiza closing the door as quietly as she could.
"You'd think your girlfriend would be a bit more careful about where she steps, eh Yusei?" Crow said, sucking on the injured finger as he sat up, looking at Yusei's cot. Upon realizing Yusei was gone too, Crow smirked. "So the two of them need some alone time. Can't say I don't blame them, and at least they have the courtesy to go find their own room, but yeesh! With the Chaos Movement lurking, I'd think that'd be the last thing on their minds, but hey, who am I to stop them when we've been trying to get them together for forever it seems? Now I've gotta see if I can find a girlfriend, since Yusei and Jack both have one." He then looked around the room, trying to make a note of who else might be out and about for shenanigans.
"Hmm, Kaiba's not here either," Crow murmured to himself, "Dani, do you think?" He turned to her spot, then started when he noticed she was gone as well. "No way! She can't be with Kaiba! She hates the guy! Okay Crow, stay calm, you didn't exactly get on her good side either; maybe she's out looking for food. Yeah, we'll go with that. Maybe I can find her and help her." He rose out of his little makeshift bed on the floor and pulled on his old Enforcers jacket. "Just gotta stay positive." Crow made his way out of the room much more silently than Akiza did, not waking the others as he slipped out the door, his exact goals even he didn't know, but he'd figure it out on the way.
Satellite Street
"I now Summon the Legendary Six Samurai – Kageki in Attack mode!" Alex announced. The pagoda behind Noah opened its doors to reveal a bearded man in samurai armor wielding twin katanas. Attached to his back were two mechanical arms that wielded two more katana swords, moving in perfect sync as the Legendary Samurai stepped forward in front of Alex. After Kageki marched out of the oriental temple, the door creaked shut with a final click.
Legendary Six Samurai – Kageki: Atk 200, Def 2000, LV 3
"And because I successfully Summoned him," Alex began after a pause, waiting for a counter move from Kaiba or Dani that was not forthcoming, "I'm allowed to Special Summon another Level four or below Six Samurai from my hand! Come forth, Legendary Six Samurai – Mizuho!" The door to the Gateway of the Six opened again, revealing a masked man in red samurai armor duel wielding two small sharply curved swords. Mizuho's long black hair flowed in the wind as he darted forward next to Kageki, who acknowledged his presence with a grin and a nod. Four more lights appeared around the doorway of the pagoda as the door creaked shut again and one more bushido symbol appeared over Noah's Six Samurai United card.

"Of course, since more Six Samurai were Summoned, more Bushido counters were placed on my brother's cards," Alex said with a grin, "But the fun doesn't stop there. Since Mizuho is on the field, I can now Special Summon his counterpart, the Legendary Six Samurai – Shinai!" The pagoda doors opened again and a blue-armored samurai wielding two studded clubs marched out, touching his weapons to Mizuho's as he took up his position on the battlefield, the pagoda doors creaking shut once more.
Legendary Six Samurai – Shinai: Atk 1500, Def 1500, LV 3
"Not bad," Kaiba noted. He could see why Dani warned him about keeping these Samurai off the field. He wasn't worried though, he had his own strategy in place to stop this swarm in its tracks.
Alex accepted the compliment with a nod. "Hearing that from you means a lot. Now, since I have a Six Samurai on the field, I'm allowed to Special Summon one more Six Samurai from my hand thanks to his special ability! Legendary Six Samurai Kizan, come to my aid!" Once again, the Gateway of the Six opened up and out stepped a samurai in black armor. He drew his simple katana from the sheath on his left hip and took up a ready stance next to his fellow samurai. Shien's Footsoldier looked around, surrounded by the imposing Samurai. The little baboon warrior grinned at his fellow warriors, holding the pike up as steady as ever.
Legendary Six Samurai – Kizan: Atk 1800, Def 500, LV 4
"Awww crapbaskets," Dani said simply as she watched her opponent swarm the field. Not even Noah had been able to pull off a stunt like that. The Gateway of the Six had four more lights ignite as the door closed, bringing the total up to ten. A golden aura appeared around Kageki and Kizan.
"Now that there's another Six Samurai on the field," Alex explained, "Kageki gains 1500 more Attack points. Kizan gains another 300 Attack and Defense points since there are two other Six Samurai out on the field. Not bad for my Main Phase, wouldn't you agree?"

"So you managed to fill your field with a bunch of weak swordsmen, big deal," Kaiba said dismissively.
"I'm not afraid of your outdated facedowns," Alex shot back, "Alright Kizan, let's get this Duel going properly now! Attack Kaiba's Vorse Raider with your Night Slash attack!" Kizan held his sword up over his head, the blade turning black with a shadowy energy, before charging towards Vorse Raider, who held up his axe defensively.
"I activate my facedown card," Kaiba said calmly, "Shrink! This allows me to cut the Attack points of one monster I choose in half!"
Alex's face fell. "Well that'll put a wrench in the works this turn."
"You have no idea," Kaiba said with a grin that spoke volumes. "Now, Shrink, reduce the Attack points of Vorse Raider by half!" A green aura appeared around the dark warrior as Vorse Raider began to reduce in size, much to the surprise of both Alex and Noah.
"Why are you reducing the Attack points of your own monster?" Alex asked, confusion written in both his tone and face. Vorse Raider finished shrinking by the time the Legendary Six Samurai Kizan finished his charge, though Kizan had to pause as he contemplated the new size of his opponent.
Vorse Raider: Atk 950
The black armored samurai chuckled as he raised his sword to strike. Vorse Raider barely came up to his knee now, but the diminutive fighter still raised his axe and bellowed a high-pitched challenge, sounding like he had inhaled enough helium to make it sound more comical than intimidating. Kizan quickly disarmed the Vorse Raider and sliced him in half.
Kaiba winced as he felt the sharp sting of the Life Point loss, but other than that he showed no emotion. "You were foolish to ignore my facedowns. Now feel the wrath of my Crush Card Virus!"
Kaiba LP: 2850
The card was absorbed into the two halves of the shrunken Vorse Raider, who then dissolved into little purple blobs that attached themselves to the retreating Kizan, who howled in pain as the virus was absorbed into him. His fellow samurai rushed forward to help, but they too were all infected and left covered by purple blobs.
"What's going on?" Alex demanded as one by one his beloved samurai dissolved into nothingness from the virus, leaving only Shien's Footsoldier on the field. The monkey warrior gulped as he realized he was all alone, the pike quivering ever so slightly. "What did you do? Answer me Kaiba!"
Kaiba smirked at him. "This was your own doing. By destroying my Vorse Raider when it had less than 1000 Attack points, you allowed me to activate this devastating Trap card. Every monster in your Deck that has 1500 or more Attack points is now infected and has to go to the Graveyard. Say goodbye to all of your powerful monsters!"
Dani whistled in admiration. "Alright, I can see why the Crimson Dragon decided to bring you here. Well, that and the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, but still, that's one way to shut down a Six Samurai Deck."
Kaiba said nothing in response to her. In fact, it seemed as if he was ignoring her. "Are you done?"
"Oh come on Kaiba, I know you heard me," Dani snapped, "You probably aren't used to getting personal compliments, but you're supposed to say thanks."
"I place one card face down and end my turn," Alex said, frustrated at the sudden turn of events. Once he had removed all his powerful monsters from his Deck, he realized just how much thinner his Deck had just became, and it worried him. Still, this Duel wasn't over, not by a long shot.
"My draw!" Kaiba announced. His grin when he saw the card he had drawn scared everyone, including Dani. "I activate cost down, which reduces the Level of all the monsters in my hand by two. You did say we could use our teammates monsters if we needed to, correct?" Alex nodded, which got Dani's attention.
"You better not do what I think you're about to do," Dani warned.
Kaiba ignored her. "I'll sacrifice Dani's Luster Dragon in order to Summon my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
"God dammit Kaiba!" Dani swore as her sapphire dragon was absorbed into the card Kaiba held out in front of him. He placed it on the Duel Disk and her favorite Dragon materialized in front of him with a roar, shaking the entire battlefield. Despite the emergence of the legendary dragon, Dani was livid. "I kinda need that monster to protect MY Life Points!"
Blue-Eyes White Dragon: Atk 3000, Def 2500, LV 8
"Now that my dragon is on the field," Kaiba said with a triumphant smile, "It's time to remove the last of your defenses. Blue-Eyes White Dragon, obliterate that monkey with White Lightning!"
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" Dani shouted at Kaiba, who made a show of looking everywhere but at her, acting as if he did not hear her. "Don't you dare ignore me! You just stole my monster without even asking me for permission!" Meanwhile, Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon gathered a brilliant white energy in its mouth, blinding the Six Samurai brothers with its brilliance before the mighty dragon fired a beam of pure destruction that completely annihilated Shien's Footsoldier. From the ashes of the attack rose another samurai in brown armor with green clothing underneath, wielding a staff with what appeared to be a whip attached to it. Red hair peeked out from under the helmet as the new warrior held his staff in a defensive position.
Kagemusha of the Six Samurai: Atk 400, Def 1800, LV 2
"Where did that monster come from?" Kaiba demanded.
"You activated Shien's Footsoldier's special ability when you destroyed it," Alex explained, "When it got destroyed, I was allowed to Special Summon a Level 3 or lower Six Samurai from my Deck; behold, Kagemusha of the Six Samurai! A decent monster considering the circumstances, if I do say so myself."His brother covered his eyes with his free hand, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Come on man, you know those extra comments are unnecessary," Noah groaned, "Why?"
"Because I hate awkward silences," Alex shot back teasingly. "Relax little bro, we got this. I may not have all of my powerful monsters in my Deck anymore, but that just means we're gonna have more fun this Duel."
Dani was furious. "Kaiba! Will you stop Dueling for two seconds and explain to me why you just stole my monster?"
"I'll place two cards facedown and end my turn," Kaiba said before finally turning and facing Dani. "Listen, you told me to keep monsters off his field, I'm doing so by any means necessary. He said we could use monsters from our teammates, I'm taking advantage of it."
"Did it ever occur to you that maybe you should ask your teammate BEFORE you sacrifice the only monster protecting her Life Points?" Dani shouted.
Noah could only chuckle as he drew a card. "Well, since I have a couple of Bushido counters, I'll send Six Samurai United to the Graveyard in order to draw two more cards." The card in question shattered and was absorbed into Noah's Duel Disk
"Will you hold on for two seconds while I settle things with Kaiba?!" Dani demanded.
"I'll compensate the loss of your monster with a victory in this Duel," Kaiba said dismissively.
"The Duel must go on!" Noah said as he drew the extra cards thanks to the spell's effect. "So now I summon the Six Samurai – Irou to the field in Attack mode!" The Gateway of the Six opened its doors once more to reveal another samurai, this one with purple cybernetic chest armor and black robes waving in the night breeze. His metal blindfold gleamed in the silver light as he settled into a ready stance in front of Noah with his long, black katana at the ready, the doors to the pagoda closing once again. Two more lights appeared on the walls of the Gateway of the Six, reaching a total of 12.
"And because I have a Six Samurai on the field," Noah continued, "I'm allowed to Special Summon this monster from my hand with no penalty; Grandmaster of the Six Samurai come forth!" The pagoda doors didn't open this time; instead from the shadows leaped an elderly man that reminded Kaiba of the comic book villain Deathstroke. He wore gray cybernetic armor and wielded a simple black katana in a classic Djem So position, his left red robot eye glowing as he took in his opponents. Irou bowed respectfully to the Grandmaster as the elder samurai took up his position.
Grandmaster of the Six Samurai: Atk 2100, Def 800, LV 5
"Next, because I have two Six Samurai on the field," Noah began.
Dani sighed loudly. She knew exactly what was coming. "Here we go again."
Noah glared at her, irritated at being interrupted. "As I was saying, since I have two Six Samurai on the field, I can Special Summon the Great Shogun Shien to field." Both Irou and the Grandmaster of the Six Samurai fell to their knees in respect as a gong sounded from the pagoda. Rhythmic pounding of an ancient drum resonated across the field, attracting Yusei's attention from a few blocks over as he ran towards the symbol in the sky.
"That doesn't sound good," the Head Signer said to himself, "They must be close by!" The drums were getting louder and faster as he ran towards the noise. Rounding one final corner, Yusei was greeted by the sight of a silver firewall circling both Dani and Kaiba, who appeared to be Dueling a samurai and another guy in street clothes. A pillar of red fire had just erupted in front of the man in street clothes while two more samurai appeared to be bowing down to the pillar of fire. Yusei stopped to take it all in as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Kaiba was currently controlling roared a challenge at their opponents.
"Whoa!" was all he could say as a new samurai emerged from the pillar of flame, this one clad head to toe in full red samurai armor. The drumming ceased and the pillar of fire dissolved into nothing, allowing Yusei to see the huge pagoda behind the man in street clothes have two more lights appear around the doorway. The Head Signer counted 14 lights all together, each one of them shaped like the bushido symbol hanging in the sky over everyone. The samurai in red armor drew his katana, which was glowing red with power, and pointed it at the sky. He then brought it down in a complex salute and took a ready position, blade held in one hand at his side, pointed downward at the ground, his black cape billowing in the breeze. The two samurai flanking him stood back up and took a similar ready position behind their obvious leader.

"Kaiba, he has enough monsters on the field to wipe out my Life Points," Dani said with a pang of fear in her voice. "If I die from this attack, I swear I'm going to come back as a ghost and haunt you for the rest of your life."
"Dani!" Yusei called as he approached the circle, "Kaiba! What's going on?"
"What does it look like?" Kaiba asked, irritated. "We're Dueling."
"I can see that," Yusei shot back, "Why doesn't Dani have any monsters on the field? Did the Battle Phase just end?"
"The Battle Phase is just beginning, whoever you are!" Noah said, "Sorry Dani, but I gotta finish you first. Great Shogun Shien, attack her directly!"
"You better do something quick!" Yusei warned, alarmed.
"I got nothing!" Dani exclaimed, taking a step back in fear from the charging Samurai. There was a flash of light and a cloud of smoke that just as quickly blew away as it had appeared. Dani looked up hesitantly, wondering what had just happened. "Did…did you miss?"
"How could I miss?!" Noah asked in disbelief.
"I dunno, how did you?" Dani retorted, emboldened by the lack of pain. She checked her Life Points to find them unchanged.
"I used my facedown, you buffoons!" Kaiba interjected, "Negate Attack ended his Battle Phase before he could ever really start it."
"That was too close," Dani commented, ignoring the insult for once.
Noah gritted his teeth in frustration. "Come on Dani, are you gonna let your boyfriend protect you all the time? I end my turn."
The female Blue-Eyes Duelist made a face at him as she drew a card. "Oh piss off, you idiot. I activate Dragon's Shrine and send a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Deck to my Graveyard." The spell card appeared in front of her and the ghostly image of a dragon graveyard appeared around her momentarily. "And because I sent a normal Dragon, I can send another card from my Deck to my Grave, The White Stone of Legend!" Above her head, an image of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon carrying a brilliant white stone appeared and headed into the Graveyard where all the other images vanished. "Now that The White Stone of Legend is in my Grave, I can now add another Blue-Eye from my Deck to my hand!" Dani finished with a flourish as she plucked the dragon out from her Deck, letting it automatically reshuffle her Deck.
"You do know that thanks to Great Shogun Shien's special ability, you can't activate any other Spell or Traps this turn, right?" Noah asked.
Dani rolled her eyes. "It was how you beat me last time, how could I forget? I know what I'm doing." Kaiba failed to completely stifle a chortle at that. "Screw you too Kaiba. I summon Decoy Dragon from my hand in Defense mode and will place one more card facedown to end my turn." A cute little blue dragon appeared in front of her, squealing in delight at being summoned and then in fear from seeing the menacing Six Samurai across the field.

"It's okay little one," Dani said soothingly to the dragon, "I've got a plan." The Decoy Dragon looked at her, the female Blue-Eyes Duelist returned the gaze until the young dragon nodded and faced his opponents, snarling as fiercely as a little dragon could. It was more adorable than intimidating, but there was only so much that dragon could do.
"Why do you have such a weak dragon?" Kaiba asked. "A true Blue-Eyes Duelist doesn't need such a pathetic creature."
"Watch it Kaiba," Dani snapped, "I know what I'm doing."
"If you say so," Kaiba shrugged.
"My turn!" Alex boomed, drawing a card. He grabbed a card out of his hand, felt the surge of power flow through him, and laughed. It wasn't the laugh of one who found something funny or the laugh of exhilaration. No, it was the laugh of one who has tasted absolute power and was about to use it.
"Can someone let me in on the joke?" Dani asked, confused, "All his powerful monsters are in the Graveyard, aren't they?"
"There's one monster in my Deck that can't be affected by Kaiba's Trap," Alex said, "And I'm going to need a couple of your monsters Noah. Is that okay?"
His younger brother nodded. "Take Irou and the Chamberlain, but what do you need two of my monsters for? You already have one on your field."
"That's because I need three sacrifices for this mighty beast," Alex explained with another power-mad laugh.
"What could he need three sacrifices for?" Yusei wondered aloud, "Any ideas Dani?"
"I got nothing," Dani replied, "What about you Kaiba? Kaiba?" The Kaibacorp executive's eyes were wide in surprise as he realized just what his opponent was up to. "Earth to Kaiba, what's going on in that rich head of yours?"
"Don't you get it?" Kaiba snapped, though there was a hint of worry in the undertone, "He's using three sacrifices. How many monsters in Duel Monsters history have needed three monsters sacrificed in order to Summon them?"
"I sacrifice my Kagemusha of the Six Samurai, Noah's Chamberlain of the Six Samurai, and Noah's The Six Samurai – Irou, in order to summon a terrifying beast spoken of in legends!" Alex roared, lightning crashing down beside him. Noah shielded himself as the named monsters leaped into the air, becoming three balls of light that flew up into the sky.
"The only monsters that come to mind are the…" Yusei began, then stopped as he realized just where Kaiba was going. "No way, where could he have gotten one of those cards?"
"What are you guys talking about?" Dani asked, confused and scared by both their reactions.
"We're about to face one of the strongest Duel Monsters in the history of the game," Kaiba said.
"Yes!" Alex shouted, "The Master has seen fit to grace me with one of the mighty Egyptian god cards and it is with his power that I now command the power of the gods!"
"Oh…" Dani said simply, dread filling her heart. This Duel had turned sour really quick.
"From the blood of my sacrifices, you shall rise! To challenge me was most unwise! Let my enemy fuel your wrath! Destroy all that stands in your path!" Alex chanted as he threw the card onto his Duel Disk. "I summon the Egyptian god card: Obelisk the Tormentor! Use your infinite power to bring me victory!"
"No way," Noah breathed in awe, "Where did the Master get an Egyptian god card?" His query was left unanswered as Alex laughed once more, a brilliant blue light shining in the sky briefly.
"Where is it?" Dani asked fearfully, looking into the night sky.
"Look closely," Kaiba said, pointing. The mighty demon burst out of a cloud and flew down towards the ground, slamming into it with such force that Dani was knocked to the ground.

"You are powerless against the might of the gods!" Alex yelled. "Prepare yourselves for oblivion! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!"
Well that certainly escalated quickly, didn't it? I simply couldn't finish the Duel in one chapter, so I'm breaking it up into two parts. Then we'll see Joey duel one of the Master's minions in a flash to the past and then back to the main story. I did enjoy writing that little fluff of a paragraph with Akiza and Crow's thoughts from the gutter, lol. See how many outside references you can catch! I hope you all enjoyed it!
Responses to guest reviews (in which they reviewed)
Guest 2: a 3v1? Maybe, I won't say no because I'm keeping my options open as this story takes on a life of its own, but I will say it isn't likely either.
Guest: I'll do my best!
Guest 2: Yugi has the one Tuner and that's it. She has a special ability that will allow Yugi to use her over and over again if need be, don't worry. I don't plan on having Yugi Turbo Dueling (sorry to disappoint everyone), but someone else with be learning how to Turbo Duel. The twins won't be Turbo Dueling either, don't worry about that.
Guest: I'm doing my best on both accounts. Anti-heroes have always been popular, and for good reason. It's all I can do to try and capture their essence.
Corina O: I laughed harder than I should have at that, lol, hope you enjoy this new chapter!
MaleficKing: Glad you enjoyed the chapter and especially the Synchro Summon! I dare say a lot of people have been dreaming of Yugi Synchro Summoning for years. I found the version you mentioned and lo and behold, you were right. Still, I will respectfully disagree on yours and Kaiba's opinion. I mean, Dani specializes in the Blue-Eyes and Azure-Eyes Dragons. Maybe she can't wield them to their full potential in Ultimate and Shining, but I dare say she's a better Blue-Eyes Duelist than anyone else in her time period. Is she a Master? In my humble opinion, she is, either that or she's very close, but is she a better master of the Blue-Eyes than Kaiba? That's a whole nother can of worms up for debate another day. Hope to hear from you soon!
Guest 2: Leo vs Kaiba or Yugi? Maybe in the epilogue, but as of right now, there's no point to having our heroes Duel one another.
Guest: Dani admired Kaiba as an idol for being the first Blue-Eyes Master, but since learning about his abrasive personality, she's finding it difficult to like him, though it's not for lack of trying on her part. She's willing to give him a chance, but Kaiba, being the loner he is, doesn't really respond to her offers of friendship, which annoys her. Long story short, she doesn't like him now that she's gotten to know him. Respect and like are two different things though, as we'll learn later on in this story.
Guest & Guest: I left it up to the fans and the fans have voted. I'm not changing it now. Would Yusei and Kaiba have made an epic tag team? Certainly, but they didn't quite win the fan vote. Maybe next time.
Donna: Thank you, I'm just doing what I can
