Hello everybody, how've youse guys been? This chapter is going to be longer than most, mainly because this Duel kept on going and going! It took forever for me to write. I dunno why, maybe because of the Egyptian god, but I got her done! Now for the disclaimer.

Chapter 20: The Wrath of the Tormentor
Previously, on Yugioh: Chaos Unleashed!
"We're about to face one of the strongest Duel Monsters in the history of the game," Kaiba said.
"Yes!" Alex shouted, "The Master has seen fit to grace me with one of the mighty Egyptian god cards and it is with his power that I now command the power of the gods!"
"Oh…" Dani said simply, dread filling her heart. This Duel had turned sour really quick.
"From the blood of my sacrifices, you shall rise! To challenge me was most unwise! Let my enemy fuel your wrath! Destroy all that stands in your path!" Alex chanted as he threw the card onto his Duel Disk. "I summon the Egyptian god card: Obelisk the Tormentor! Use your infinite power to bring me victory!"
"No way," Noah breathed in awe, "Where did the Master get an Egyptian god card?" His query was left unanswered as Alex laughed once more, a brilliant blue light shining in the sky briefly.
"Where is it?" Dani asked fearfully, looking into the night sky.
"Look closely," Kaiba said, pointing. The mighty demon burst out of a cloud and flew down towards the ground, slamming into it with such force that Dani was knocked to the ground.
"You are powerless against the might of the gods!" Alex yelled. "Prepare yourselves for oblivion! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!"

"My mighty Egyptian god card has arrived!" Alex announced, completely enthralled by the power he now wielded. Obelisk the Tormentor rose up from his kneeling position on the ground behind Alex and growled, shaking the entire block. Kaiba was instantly reminded of his Duel against Yugi in the Battle City semifinals, though it was a first for him to be on the receiving end of such mighty entrance from Obelisk, a first for him not being prepared to face a god card at least. He momentarily wished he had the Pyramid of Light with him, remembered the fiasco that happened because of that card, berated himself mentally and composed himself from the shock of the entrance of the Egyptian god card he once held in his possession.
Obelisk the Tormentor: Atk 4000, Def 4000, LV 12
"Your Egyptian god card?" Kaiba asked with a mocking tone. "That card doesn't belong to you any more than it belongs to the Master." The Kaibacorp executive looked up at the Tormentor, who noticed his gaze and growled again, sending shivers up everyone's spine but Alex's, who returned Kaiba's glare with one of his own.
"Well it certainly doesn't belong to you, does it Kaiba?" Alex retorted, "You lost Obelisk to Yugi, didn't you? Obviously you aren't worthy of using the power of an Egyptian god!"
That struck a chord with Kaiba. An insult to his inner strength was one insult he could not stand. "I'm more worthy than you'll ever be. You're nothing but a lackey for the Master, leeching onto him because you think he's powerful. As soon as he's done with you, you'll be cast aside like the trash you are! I've done it to many a worthless person who tried to use me to fuel their own schemes. You will be no different to your Master." The effect on Alex was obvious. Dani could actually see veins stick out on his forehead and his face turned bright red. It would've been comical to behold had the Egyptian god card not been standing right behind him.
"Shots fired!" She commented simply as she stood back on her feet. She glanced at her rival, who was marveling the Egyptian god as Obelisk flared his wings in an intimidating manner. "This isn't fun anymore."
"I am more than some miserable lackey for the Master!" Alex growled, "I will be feared for my might once the Master achieves his goals! You and anyone else standing in our way will be crushed! People will hear the name Bushido and know that they have encountered true power! You? You're nothing but some lousy corporate head who happens to be good at Duel Monsters because you're rich enough to buy all the powerful cards. You don't have any true talent; you just buy your way to victory!"
Kaiba narrowed his eyes, eyeing his opponent like one would an untouchable. "You know nothing about me. It's amazing how every time you open your mouth, you prove you're an idiot. I have more talent than you'll ever dream of, because I don't leech power from some crazy psycho like a blood-sucking tick! I use my own skills to rise to the power and only Yugi stands in my way of being the greatest Duelist!"
"That does it!" Alex roared. Dani could actually see spittle flying from his mouth in his rage.
"And I thought I had anger issues," Dani commented, getting a smirk from Noah.
"I have to live with the guy," he said, "All it takes is the right button pushing to really get him going."
"Shut up Noah!" Alex shouted at him before facing Kaiba again. "You talk big Kaiba, but when faced with the power of the gods, you will falter like everyone else! Obelisk, show him what I mean by attacking his Blue-Eyes White Dragon with your Fists of Fate!" Obelisk the Tormentor roared and pounded his fists together, buffeting everyone with a shock wave as both fists began glowing white with raw power. The Tormentor stepped forward, rearing back to punch Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon ala Falcon Punch style.
Kaiba grinned as he pressed a button on his Duel Disk. "Those Fists of Fate will have to wait. I activate my Trap, the Interdimensional Matter Transporter!" A curious looking machine with what looked like a laser cannon attached to the front appeared behind the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, a rainbow colored glow emanating from the cannon.
"You know full well Traps can't affect my god card," Alex pointed out smugly, "Obelisk, attack now!" The blue demon obliged and threw a punch at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon that had several shock waves emanating off of it.
"I'm not going after the god card," Kaiba said, "I'm targeting my Blue-Eyes!" The cannon began glowing even brighter before it zapped the legendary dragon with a rainbow colored light. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon disappeared in a flash of light right before Obelisk's fists came crashing down into the spot Blue-Eyes had been prowling a split second before. The entire block was shaken by the power Obelisk used, shock waves emanating from the crater Obelisk created in front of Kaiba knocking both Kaiba and Dani off their feet, as well as the approaching Akiza who had been caught unawares by the shock wave as she ran towards the Duel.
"Oof!" Akiza grunted as she landed rather painfully on her backside, getting hit by the shock wave just as she rounded the corner. "What was that?!" She looked up to see Obelisk the Tormentor standing over Kaiba in a silver firewall, the bushido symbol hanging high in the sky over everyone, which included Alex, Noah, Dani, and Yusei. "Whoa! That thing is huge!"
Old Enforcer's Hideout
Yami was jolted awake by the wave of power Obelisk unleashed, sensing the might of the Egyptian god unleashed. The ancient Pharaoh emerged from the Puzzle and began to look around, wondering where it may have came from.
"Can it be?" he said to himself as he moved over to the window, feeling the aftershocks of the attack. Yami looked out the window and saw the bushido symbol high in the sky over the Duel, though he couldn't see the Duel itself. "Oh no!" Yami watched in surprise and horror as Obelisk the Tormentor rose up above the buildings, flew a short distance, and disappeared below the building line again, creating another little shock wave as the Tormentor landed behind Alex again, unbeknownst to Yami. Much like he had the night before, Yami set his sights on awakening his host from his slumber. Unlike the night before, Yugi was easily awoken by the Pharaoh's efforts.
"Huh? What?" Yugi said sleepily as he stirred, "Pharaoh? You gotta stop waking me up like this."
That drew a wisp of a grin to the stern Pharaoh's face before he directed Yugi's attention to the window. "Believe me Yugi, I don't enjoy it any more than you do. Unfortunately, we have bigger problems to deal with."
Yugi blinked a few times, clearing away the cobwebs and coming fully awake. He could sense the seriousness of the situation. "What's going on?"
"An Egyptian god card has been played," Yami explained, "Who exactly is wielding Obelisk the Tormentor, I do not know. It could be that the Master has finally decided to enter the fray and is using the Egyptian gods against our friends. More likely, he has given Obelisk to one of his Duelists and someone is in trouble. Either way, we have to investigate what's going on because we need those Egyptian gods back!"
Yugi nodded in agreement as he pulled on his jacket. "Right. We can't let someone like the Master have such powerful cards like the Egyptian gods. Should we wake the others?" Yugi glanced around the room at the few who remained, which consisted of Jack, Leo, and Luna.
"I dare say there are enough people out and about that we can let them sleep," Yami answered. "We need to get moving." With that, the two of them were leaving the room, heading towards the silver light hanging high in the sky above Satellite.
Satellite Street
"Yusei!" Akiza called as she approached the firewall, "What is that thing!?"
Yusei spared Akiza a quick glance before gesturing at Obelisk. "It's an Egyptian god card. Somehow this thug had it and managed to Summon it. It's up to Kaiba and Dani to beat that monster."
"An Egyptian god?!" Akiza repeated, looking at Obelisk with renewed fear, "How?!"
"Where did your Blue-Eyes go?!" Alex demanded as Obelisk retreated from his attack, flying up and over Alex before landing behind the Six Samurai Duelist with another rumble. The Tormentor growled at the failure of his attack.
"I simply removed it from play for the turn," Kaiba responded with a knowing grin as he got back to his feet. "Since you declared my Dragon as the target of your attack, by removing it from play, Obelisk missed my Blue-Eyes."
"A clever move," Alex admitted, "But you can't dodge my attacks forever! I'll end my turn with a facedown!" The card appeared in front of him as a portal opened in front of Kaiba. Through that portal flew his beloved Blue-Eyes White Dragon, who emerged with a triumphant roar back onto the field.
"I won't have to," Kaiba responded as he drew a card. He immediately played it on his Disk. "I activate Card of Demise! This allows me to draw until I have five cards in my hand, but if I don't use them in five turns, I'll lose them in five turns!" Dani nodded approvingly as Kaiba drew five more cards from his Deck to form a new hand. Her face fell a little as she saw him scowl at what he drew, but she still held on to a sliver of hope. Kaiba had always been good at summoning the Blue-Eyes Ultimate and that was what it was going to take to win this Duel, if only to defeat Obelisk the Tormentor.
"Looks like whatever you drew isn't going to defeat Obelisk," Alex taunted, also noting Kaiba's scowl.
Kaiba treated him to yet another glare. "Not yet, at least. For now, I activate the torrential power of the Mystical Space Typhoon in order to destroy that Gateway of the Six!" The Magic card materialized in front of Kaiba and generated a tornado that advanced towards the elaborate pagoda behind Noah.
The younger of the Six Samurai Brothers was undaunted. "I'll counter your space storm with Musakani Magatama!" Noah shouted, activating his Trap card. A pendant with a golden coin containing the symbol of the Six Samurai and a curved green rock attached to the pendant appeared in Great Shogun Shien's hand. The red-armored Samurai held the pendant up and a golden aura emanated from the Magatama, expanding in size until the aura covered the entire Gateway of the Six, blocking the might of the Mystical Space Typhoon until the storm passed.
Kaiba was surprised. "What?!"
Noah grinned. "I knew you were gonna try and destroy my Gateway of the Six sooner or later, so I put down this counter Trap to prevent your attempt from succeeding. When I have a Six Samurai on the field and an effect is activated that would destroy one or more of my cards, I can instead negate and destroy whatever card that tried to destroy my cards. My Gateway of the Six is safe!"
"But your Life Points aren't," Kaiba pointed out as he placed a card on his Disk. "I summon Familiar Knight in Defense mode." A knight in silver armor and a billowing red cape appeared in front of Kaiba, both shield and sword held in front of him defensively.
Familiar Knight: Atk 1200, Def 1400, LV 3
"And next I'll move to attack your so-called Great Shogun Shien," Kaiba announced, "Go Blue-Eyes, destroy that so-called great with your White Lightning!" His Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared a challenge and began gathering energy in his mouth in order to attack.
Noah grinned in response. "I've been waiting for this attack. I'll now activate the effect of my Gateway of the Six twice. I'll remove two Bushido Counters from my Gateway of the Six twice in order to give my Great Shogun Shien some extra fire power."
"Ohh crap," Dani said, recognizing what was about to happen. "Kaiba, you might want to cancel that attack."
"The first two Bushido counters will boost my Great Shogun Shien's Attack to equal Kaiba's in strength!" Noah announced, "Watch!" Two of the lights detached themselves from the oriental temple and were absorbed into the Great Shogun Shien. A green aura appeared around the samurai briefly before he drew his sword, the aura fading from sight.
Great Shogun Shien: Atk 3000
"This is bad," Yusei said.
"And now to push my Shogun's might beyond your Blue-Eyes!" Noah announced, "As I activate the Gateway of the Six again!" Two more lights were absorbed into the Great Shogun Shien just as Blue-Eyes unleashed a mighty beam of energy at the samurai. Great Shogun Shien brought his sword up to strike and cut right through the tide of energy with nary a scratch on him.

"Now, my Shogun, counterattack that Blue-Eyes and show him the true power of the Six Samurai!" Noah shouted, throwing a fist into the air. The Great Shogun Shien obliged and leaped high into the air, intending to come down on top of Kaiba's favorite dragon.
"Not so fast!" Dani shouted, "I activate my Trap, Castle of Dragon Souls. Now by removing my White Stone of Legend from play, I can give another 700 Attack points to Kaiba's Blue-Eyes for the turn!" As she said this, a mountain with a draconic castle rose up behind her. The image of the White Stone of Legend appeared above Kaiba's Blue-Eyes briefly before being absorbed into the Dragon.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon: Atk 3700
Great Shogun Shien descended from the sky while shouting a wordless battle cry, but as he slashed at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the dragon of legends blocked the strike with his wings. Blue-Eyes then grabbed Great Shogun Shien in its claws, gathering more energy in its mouth in order to again strike at the samurai.
Noah was unperturbed by the turn of events. "Nice try Dani but I knew you'd do that, so I activate my Gateway of the Six's ability two more times for an additional 1000 more Attack points for my Great Shogun!" Four more lights from the temple disappeared and were absorbed into the Great Shogun Shien, who used his newfound power to break free of the Blue-Eyes grasp, landing in front of the dragon with his sword drawn, ready to attack again. "Finish him Shien!"
Great Shogun Shien Atk: 4500
The red-armored samurai charged once more, burying his flame covered katana in the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's heart, causing the dragon to roar in agony before it shattered, buffeting Kaiba with the Life Point damage. The Great Shogun withdrew from his attack position and took up his combat pose in front of Noah once more.
Kaiba LP: 2050
Kaiba growled at the failure of his attack, but other than that showed no emotion. "Way to waste your time Dani. I told you, I don't need your help."
"Listen Kaiba," Dani began, trying to keep the anger from leaking into her voice and failing. "We're facing a freaking Egyptian god. Why can't you work with me instead of pushing me away?"
Kaiba was unrelenting. "I told you, I don't need some second-rate Blue-Eyes wannabe helping me when I can handle this on my own! I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Blue-Eyes from the Graveyard!"
"Second-rate?!" Dani exclaimed, not bothering to hide her ire now as Kaiba's Blue-Eyes rose from the Graveyard and roared another challenge at Noah and his samurai. "Like it or not Kaiba, it's going to take a team effort to win. I made him use four more Bushido Counters because of my Trap, Bushido Counters which could've been used against us some other way. Trust me, those Counters hurt if he can get a lot of them built up. I should know, he's my rival!"
"And because of that Trap," Kaiba countered, "I took another 200 points of damage. Your version of helping isn't really helping, especially when all you have is that puny little dragon on the field!" At that statement, Dani's Decoy Dragon hissed at him, spitting a little fireball at the Kaibacorp executive. The little blue dragon then rubbed up against Dani's legs lovingly, almost like a cat. The change in demeanor was enough to draw a giggle from Akiza. Meanwhile, Yusei was not amused.
"Kaiba, Dani obviously knows the strategy of these two, it might help to actually listen to her in order to beat these guys," Yusei warned.
"Oh no, keep doing what you're doing Kaiba," Alex interrupted before Kaiba could respond, drawing everyone's attention. "I love it when my opponents defeat themselves for me. You know what they say, a house divided against itself can't stand and all that."
A hush fell over the battlefield as his words were registered. Noah in particular gave him a curious look. "Why are you giving them words of encouragement? I thought our strategy was to confuse and irritate them?"
Alex laughed. "I have an Egyptian god on the field and you have two of your best warriors on the field. We got this. It doesn't matter if they get their act together now, our victory is assured! The Six Samurai will always triumph over the pathetic Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
"Pathetic?!" Kaiba repeated irately. "My Blue-Eyes White Dragon is anything but pathetic!"
"You could've fooled me," Alex taunted, "You haven't touched either of our Life Points despite having your Dragon on the field for multiple rounds, your partner there hasn't been able to get anything going because you used her first dragon as a sacrifice. Face it Kaiba; you're an outdated joke of a Duelist who's survived most of the day through luck and crawling on others to get by! I still don't get how you managed to beat Draco. He must've really been unlucky to have lost to you, of all people!"
Dani was livid, though a part of her was impressed to see Kaiba keep his composure. "Listen here you wannabe samurai; keep underestimating our Blue-Eyes at your own peril! Just you wait and see you bastard!"
Kaiba had a more level response. "My Blue-Eyes will have more than enough power to take down whatever you throw at us." He then surprised everybody by turning to Dani and asking "What strategy do you have in mind to beat these clowns?"
"Oh now you want to hear what I got to say," Dani said sarcastically. "If I had known that, I would've had these idiots insult you sooner."
Kaiba wasn't amused. "Do you have a plan or not?"
Dani nodded. "I'll supply the Blue-Eyes, you supply the Polymerization, and we get Blue-Eyes Ultimate on the field to wreck everything. Simple."
"And just how do you propose we do that?" Kaiba asked with a raised eyebrow, though he tilted his hand enough to show her that he had indeed drawn a Polymerization with the Card of Demise.
Dani's eyes widened as she realized Kaiba's implications. "I'm working on that. It's still your turn, you know."
Kaiba nodded. "Fine then. I place one card facedown and end my turn." The green aura that had suffused Great Shogun Shien disappeared as the effects from the Gateway of the Six wore off.
Great Shogun Shien Atk: 2500
"Yeah, Shogun Shien only gets the power boost until the end of the turn," Noah explained, "But it was well worth it if you ask me."
"Wait," Akiza said quietly to Yusei, "Did I just see what I thought I saw?"
The Head Signer was watching the Duel very closely and he picked up on Kaiba's "bleed". "I think so. Kaiba must really be aggravated if he's actually going to try and work with Dani now. It's like watching reverse psychology at work."
"If that's what it takes to turn this Duel around, I'm all for it," Akiza said, grasping Yusei's left hand. He spared her a glance, at which she smiled sheepishly. When Yusei didn't let go, both Signers simply turned back and faced the Duel together.
"Looks like I'm up," Noah said, drawing a card. He studied his hand briefly before plucking a card out and placing it in the Magic zone on the Duel Disk. "I activate Shien's Smoke Signal in order to add a Level 3 or lower Six Samurai from my Deck to my hand!" A wooden tower sprang up next to the Gateway of the Six, a samurai in green armor holding a staff with an incense burner attached to it, purple smoke billowing from the burner as the samurai waved the staff in a complex pattern. Just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared, the smoke lingering briefly over the battlefield as Noah searched through his Deck. He found the card he was looking for quickly enough and replaced his Deck in his Duel Disk, the Disk automatically reshuffling his Deck.
"So what pathetic monster did you bring out from your Deck?" Kaiba asked. "Or is it just cannon fodder for your brother?"
"Always the arrogant prick," Noah commented, "You've already seen him once this Duel, I just added Kagemusha of the Six Samurai to my hand." He revealed the card he added from his Deck to everyone before adding it to his hand.
"Uh-oh," Dani said quietly, "I know Alex used his for a sacrifice for Obelisk, but that card is a Tuner monster, so if Noah plans on using it… Oh crapbaskets."
"Care to let me in on what's wrong?" Kaiba asked.
"We can't let Noah Synchro Summon," Dani said, "Especially if it's the true ace of the Six Samurai Deck. That'll screw us over faster than you can say Blue-Eyes White Dragon."
"I can't Summon him just yet," Noah said with a grin. "However, I will Summon The Six Samurai – Yariza to the field in Attack Mode!" A gong sounded from the Gateway of the Six as the doors creaked open once more to reveal another samurai in dark blue armor, electric blue highlights glowing in certain patterns on the armor as Yariza approached the other two samurai, his spear glowing with power as Yariza twirled it experimentally, the power cable moving with the spear. Yariza bowed to his masters before taking a combat ready pose, spear pointed directly at Dani. Two more Bushido lights appeared on the Gateway of the Six, signifying a couple more Bushido counters on the card, bringing the total number of lights up to 8.
The Six Samurai – Yariza: Atk 1000, Def 500, LV 3
"And to add this to the mix," Noah added, "I'm activating the Field Spell Shien's Castle of Mist!" The sounds of crows began echoing around the street as another pagoda rose up next to the Gateway of the Six, though this one in much darker colors than the Gateway of the Six and had several ravens flying around the dark purple aura emanating from the pagoda. Tombstones began jutting up around the Castle of Mist, signifying the graveyard aspect of the Spell.
"Lovely," Dani commented dryly as a crow landed near her.
"But the fun's just beginning," Noah continued with a knowing glance at Dani, "Of course, you know what's going to happen next. Since I have other Six Samurai on the field, I can use Yariza's ability to attack you directly!" Yariza twirled his spear a little more before aiming at Dani, firing a blue beam of energy that struck Dani directly in the chest, knocking the wind out of her from both the impact and the ghostly feeling of being stabbed.
Dani LP: 3000
"God…that…hurts," Dani wheezed, trying to catch her breath.
"Sorry Dani, but better you than me," Noah apologized, "Now Great Shogun Shien, attack Dani's Decoy Dragon with your Sacred Sword Strike!" The red-armored samurai drew his blade and held it high, the blade glowing with an orange energy as Great Shogun Shien charged, drawing a squeal of fear from the little dragon in front of Dani.
Dani was still trying to recover from Yariza's attack, but she managed to press a button on her Duel Disk, which created a blue aura around the little dragon.
"Not so *cough cough* fast," Dani gasped out, "Thanks to Decoy Dragon's *cough* special ability, I can bring back a level seven or higher Dragon from my *cough* Grave and switch your attack target to the revived Dragon." She broke down gasping again, coughing as her body continued trying to recover from the attack it had suffered not too long ago.
"Hang in there Dani!" Akiza called encouragingly.
"Just give… me a moment," Dani wheezed, pounding her fist against her chest in an effort to stop the coughing fits. "I freaking hate *cough* Shadow Duels." She took another moment to gather herself as the pain in her chest receded, kneeling down on the ground in the process
"You done?" Noah asked with genuine concern on his face while his brother looked annoyed.
"If she can't call out her move then the move gets canceled," Alex declared, "I won't waste any more time waiting for her. Noah, finish your attack!"
"Oh piss off!" Dani shot at Alex, coughing one last time before standing back up. "Let's see how well you take a shot like that. I use my Decoy Dragon's special ability to Special Summon the Blue-Eyes White Dragon I discarded to my Graveyard and switch Great Shogun Shien's attack to my Blue-Eyes!" Decoy Dragon shot a little fireball at Shogun Shien, who leaped to the side to dodge the attack. However, that little fireball struck the ground and became a pillar of fire. Shien attempted to continue around to strike at the Decoy Dragon, but was stopped by a blue-white tail emerged from the flames and lashing out at Great Shogun Shien. The red-armored samurai stopped and held his blade in a guard position as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon emerged from the pillar of fire with a roar, the flames dying down behind him. Decoy Dragon looked on from behind Dani's legs with a satisfied warble, tail wagging excitedly.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon: Atk 3000, Def 2500, LV 8
"Thanks sweetie," Dani said to the Decoy Dragon, picking the little dragon up and cuddling with it briefly, drawing another elated warble from it before Dani put it back down, her face back in its typical fierce glare. "Now Blue-Eyes, destroy Great Shogun Shien!" Before Noah and his samurai could react, Dani's Blue-Eyes White Dragon unleashed a torrent of pure power from its maw and disintegrated Great Shogun Shien, leaving nothing behind of the powerful swordsman. His comrades looked on in horror as Dani's Blue-Eyes sent them a glare, indicating they were next.
"Impressive," was all Kaiba had to say. He gained a newfound respect for the little dragon rubbing up against Dani's legs affectionately.
Noah LP: 3500
"Well that backfired," Noah commented as the smoke died down. "No matter, I move to attack your Decoy Dragon once more, since you don't have any more high level Dragons in your Grave. I might as well get rid of that nuisance while I can. Grandmaster of the Six Samurai, attack!" The elderly samurai studied the Decoy Dragon for a moment before pulling out a single shruikan and flinging it at the little dragon, striking it right between its eyes and destroying the cute little dragon.
"Why'd you destroy him?!" Dani demanded, outraged, "He was just a baby!"
Noah chuckled. "I know you like your cute dragons, but he had to go, since he's responsible for the other dragon you have right now. For now, I end the Battle Phase and will remove six Bushido Counters from my Gateway of the Six in order to Special Summon Great Shogun Shien from my Grave!" Six lights winked out of existence on the elaborate pagoda leaving only two left. The lights hovered over the spot where Great Shogun Shien was destroyed. The Bushido Counters were absorbed into the ground and after a brief pause; more fire erupted from the ground and Great Shogun Shien emerged once more, much to the relief to his comrades. In addition, two more Bushido counters appeared on the Gateway of the Six, bringing the total up to four.
Great Shogun Shien: Atk 2500, Def 2400, LV 7
"With him back on the field, I'll end my turn." Noah announced. "You're up Dani."
The female Blue-Eyes Duelist unceremoniously drew a card, studying the four cards in her hand. 'That Great Shogun really puts me in a bind,' she thought to herself, 'Since I can only activate one Spell and or Trap per turn. Still, if I play this right, I can stop Noah's plan in its tracks. But it revolves around getting rid of that Great Shogun. Let's hope this works.'
"Any day now!" Alex said impatiently, "Obelisk is eager to crush you all!"
"Shut up!" Dani snapped at him, "If it weren't for you idiots, I could be in bed right now sleeping, but nooooo, the annoying Chaos Movement has to strike in the middle of the night. I'm tired and pissed, you better pray I don't get my hands on you when this is over." She grabbed a card out of her hand and placed it in her Field Spell slot. "I activate the Mountain Field Spell in order to get rid of your misty castle and to power up my Blue-Eyes some to the tune of 200 Attack and Defense points." The dark purple pagoda crumbled as several mountains rose around the group, a mountain breeze flowing through the street. Akiza shivered as a few snowflakes fell from the sky, enhancing the mountain-like terrain Dani had created. Both Blue-Eyes White Dragons certainly seemed more comfortable in their new surroundings.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon: Atk 3200, Def 2700
Alex yawned, feigning boredom. "So what, you made the land more hilly. It still won't be enough to save you from Obelisk."
"I'm not after you, I'm after your annoying little brother," Dani shot back. "I summon Mirage Dragon in Attack mode!" A yellow oriental dragon surrounded by pink and purple mist appeared next to Dani, floating ever so gently around the mountains.
Mirage Dragon: Atk 1800, Def 800, LV 4
"He won't be around for long though," Dani admitted, "Because I will release my Mirage Dragon in order to Special Summon another important Dragon to the field." As quickly as the yellow dragon had materialized, it faded into the mists, though the mists began to darken in color and became a swirl of red and black flames. "When flesh and metal are fused, a new power is released! Spread your wings and breath scorching power! The Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!" Dani chanted. With a metallic roar, the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon emerged from the inferno and flared its red and black wings menacingly, eager to do battle.
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon: Atk 3000, Def 2600, LV 10
"Oh boy," Noah said, worry on his face.
Kaiba simply smiled as he recognized what Dani was about to do as well. She continued, not noticing his smile. "I activate my Metal Dragon's special ability, an ability that lets me summon any Dragon I want from my hand or Graveyard, and you can guess what I'm holding in my hand! Another Blue-Eyes! The white heaven that soars free, become reborn as the divine dragon and join my side! The true embodiment of light descends! Come forth! Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Dani threw the last card in her hand down on her Duel Disk as the Red-Eyes shot a fireball at a nearby mountain. The fireball hit with an explosion, an explosion that attracted the attention of a couple nearby Duelists.
A few blocks away
"What was that?!" Crow exclaimed as he heard the explosion. He had been searching for Dani and Kaiba, wondering what on earth those two could be getting up to when he noticed the silver Bushido symbol in the sky. The Blackwing Duelist had been making his way over towards the Duel when the explosion had occurred, which spurred him to pick up the pace. He sensed movement behind him and turned to see Yami sprinting towards the light in the sky as well. "Hey Yugi, you have any idea what's going on?"
"An Egyptian god has been played and I sense our friends are in trouble," Yami said quickly as he passed Crow, "Let's move!"
"An Egyptian god card?!" Crow repeated, "This I gotta see!" With that, he was sprinting after Yami towards the Duel, excited to see such a powerful card in use.
Satellite Street
The explosion in the mountainside opened up a cave. Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon roared in satisfaction as a Blue-Eyes White Dragon flew out of the cave and landed in front of Dani, roaring a challenge at the opposing samurai.
"Now they have three Blue-Eyes on the field," Yusei commented, "Now it's up to Kaiba to finish the job and get the Ultimate on the field."
"But they have to get through Alex's turn first," Akiza pointed out, "How will they get by against an Egyptian god?"
"We'll have to wait and see," Yusei answered. "All we can do is hope for the best."
Meanwhile, Dani's mood had lightened now that she had her favorite Dragons on the field. Now it was time for action. "You asked for this, Noah, when you destroyed my adorable Decoy Dragon. Time for my first Blue-Eyes to take out that Great Shogun Shien! Attack with White Lightning!"
"Come on Dani," Noah said dismissively, wagging a finger as Dani's Blue-Eyes began gathering energy in its mouth, "That Blue-Eyes is about to end up like Kaiba's. I remove the last four Bushido counters from my Gateway of the Six in order to give my Great Shogun Shien an extra 1000 Attack points for the turn!" The last four lights on the Gateway of the Six detached themselves from the pagoda and were absorbed into Great Shogun Shien's sword, the green aura suffusing him once more.
Great Shogun Shien: Atk 3500
"Counterattack once more!" Noah ordered, "Night Slash attack!" A dark aura appeared around the blade as Shien charged, deflecting the White Lightning attack from Dani's Blue-Eyes into the sky, where it exploded with the force of a bomb. In the meantime, Shien launched himself forward and decapitated Dani's Blue-Eyes, destroying the mighty dragon and buffeting Dani with some more Life Point Damage.
Dani LP: 2700
"I suppose it's better than getting shot in the chest," Dani commented as she gritted her teeth from the pain. "Looks like I won't be destroying that Shogun this turn after all. But I can still go after your Grandmaster of the Six Samurai. Hit him again Blue-Eyes!" Her second White Dragon repeated the process of the first, firing a white beam of energy at the elderly samurai that would've struck home had Yariza not leaped in the way and taken the blow.
"What in the world?" Kaiba exclaimed, a frown back on his face at the destruction of a Blue-Eyes.
"Each Six Samurai has a special ability," Noah explained, wincing as bits of the Blue-Eyes attack struck him on the arm "A special ability that lets another Six Samurai get destroyed instead of a more important one like my Grandmaster. It's called teamwork, something you're not entirely familiar with it would seem. I still take the Life Point damage, but my Grandmaster lives to fight another day!"
Noah LP: 2400
"Not for much longer!" Dani countered, "Finish him off Red-Eyes with your Inferno Fire Blast!" The grin that appeared on Noah's face when she announced her attack worried Dani, but she couldn't back down now. Her metallic Red-Eyes roared and unleashed a black and red fireball that shaped itself into the fire kanji, speeding towards the Grandmaster of the Six Samurai at such a speed that the elderly samurai could not dodge and he was obliterated. Noah groaned in agony from the intensity of the heat, but still held that confident grin.
Noah LP: 1500
"You just triggered my Grandmaster's special ability," Noah said, "an ability that lets me bring a Six Samurai from my Grave to my hand. I'll chain that with my Trap card, Shien's Scheme!"
"Crapbaskets," Dani said simply as she realized what Noah was doing.
"Because you destroyed one of my Six Samurai," Noah announced, "I get to Special Summon two Six Samurai monsters from my hand. So first I'll add Chamberlain of the Six Samurai from my Grave to my hand and then I'll Summon both him and Kagemusha of the Six Samurai to the field, both in Defense mode!" The two Samurai walked out of the Gateway of the Six, causing four lights to ignite on the oriental pagoda.
"Oh come on, the whole reason why I sacrificed a Blue-Eyes was to get rid of those Counters!" Dani groaned.
Noah just kept on grinning. "I know. Now I have the materials I need for my Synchro Summon thanks to you Dani."
"You still lost a huge chunk of your Life Points," Dani pointed out. "Since I'm out of attacks, I guess I have to end my turn."
Alex laughed as he drew a card. "Which means it's time for Obelisk to finish both of you off! First things first, I Summon Shien's Advisor in Defense Mode!" An elderly man in elaborate clothes and wielding a simple katana appeared, holding his blade defensively. "Hey Noah, I'm going to need to sacrifice one of your monsters again."
Shien's Advisor: Atk 1200, Def 400, LV 4
Kaiba's eyes widened in shock as he recognized instantly what the Legendary Six Samurai Duelist was up to. "You wouldn't dare!"
"I kinda need all my monsters right now," Noah said, "You sure you need one of them?"
Alex was enjoying himself immensely. "I can win this Duel in one fell swoop. I just need one of your monsters."
"What's he trying to do?" Dani asked Kaiba, worried by the implications.
"If he succeeds with what I know he's planning to do," Kaiba answered, "Then we're through."
Dani was scared. "Oh damn… You do got a card that can stop it, right?"
Meanwhile, the Six Samurai brothers were arguing. Noah was putting his foot down. "Listen, I'm not going to be the guy who supplies you with all your Tribute fodder."
"Why not?" Alex retorted, "It's been working great so far."
"Because you already have an Egyptian god on your field," Noah answered, "It's been everything I can do to keep my Shogun on the field, go get your own monsters."
Drunk on his power, Alex then made a decision, one he was going to regret later simply in terms of his brotherly relationship. "I think I just might do that. I'm taking your Shogun!"
"What?!" Noah shouted, "Are you insane?!"
"No," Alex said, "Obelisk deserves the best tributes anyways. This Duel is going to be over shortly anyways, you won't need him. Obelisk, take my Advisor and Noah's Shogun in order to activate your special ability!" As the blue demon leaned over to grasp both warriors, one in each hand, Noah was furious.
"Bro, I've supported you all throughout this crazy Chaos Movement," Noah said slowly, "But I'm not going to be the guy living in your shadow all the time. I'm more than just the younger Six Sam brother!" Obelisk the Tormentor was absorbing the power of both warriors in the meantime, draining them until they were empty husks of dust that crumbled away in the wind. Obelisk roared as his muscles bulged with raw power.
"It doesn't matter," Alex said, smiling that power-crazed smile all the while. "Because with the power of those two sacrifices, Obelisk now has enough power to storm the field, dealing 4000 points of damage to whoever stands in his path, including both you Kaiba and your girlfriend! So say goodbye to your miserable lives! Obelisk the Tormentor, end this Duel now with your Fists of Fate!"
"Hold on!" Kaiba shouted as the blue demon created a glowing red aura around his mighty fists, "I activate my Trap card, Command Silencer!" A weird totem pole like machine appeared, several loudspeakers attached to the machine humming with power. As soon as it had fully materialized, a high-pitched shriek began to emanate from the machine, causing everyone but Kaiba to cover their ears to protect themselves from the agony, including the approaching Crow and Yami.
"Shut it off!" Alex roared, the pain too much for him. Mercifully for everyone, the speakers did indeed shut off after another few seconds of the ear-piercing screech, but only because Obelisk had had enough and punched the Command Silencer, shattering the machine with the blow. "Gah! What was the point of that?!"
Kaiba laughed. "My Command Silencer has deafened Obelisk the Tormentor for the turn, making him unable to attack anything this turn, making your sacrifices useless! I told you that you don't have the skills required to use Obelisk the Tormentor properly."
"A lucky move," Alex growled, casting an apologetic glance at his brother. Noah's glare was unrelenting, causing Alex to look away in shame. "I end my turn then."
Kaiba drew a card silently, studying his hand in the brief lull. 'Thanks to her incompetence,' he thought to himself, 'We still don't have enough Blue-Eyes to bring out the Ultimate Dragon. I have my Shining Dragon, but without my Ultimate Dragon, I can't use him. Looks like I have to finish off the younger brother before focusing on the one with Obelisk.'
"Hey guys," Yusei greeted Crow and Yugi as they approached the firewall, "You got here just in time. Ever since that Egyptian god got on the field, Kaiba and Dani have been on their heels. Yugi, that's your card, do you have any tricks on how to beat it?"
The Pharaoh was studying the battlefield intensely, drawing a growl from Obelisk as he recognized his former master. "Usually it takes a god to beat a god. However, I know Kaiba has two monsters in his Deck that can defeat Obelisk, it all comes down to whether or not he can get them out."
Crow was marveling the Egyptian god, even as he noticed who was Dueling. "Yo, Dani, you doing alright?"
Dani was startled to hear Crow's voice, but she turned around and greeted him anyways. "Hey Crow. It's the middle of the night, I'm facing an Egyptian god card, I'd almost rather be Dueling with you than Kaiba the way he's been treating me, that's my freaking rival and his brother over there trying to kill me, how the hell do you think I'm doing?!"
Crow winced. "Well, it could be worse."
"I'm afraid to ask, but how could it be worse?" Dani asked incredulously before remembering what Noah was trying to Summon and she sighed, "Never mind, I already know. Now would you shut up and let me focus on the Duel?" Much to her relief, Crow did just that, answering with a simple thumbs up.
Kaiba ignored everybody and continued with his turn. "I Summon X-Head Cannon in Defense mode." As the blue and yellow robot with two long cannons mounted on its shoulders appeared, Alex chuckled.
"Such a mighty beast," he taunted.
X-Head Cannon: Atk 1800, De 1200, LV 4
Kaiba merely treated him to another glare before continuing. "I move to attack the Chamberlain of the Six Samurai with my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" As the powerful dragon opened his maw to attack, Noah looked at him hand and shrugged.
"I got nothing," he said simply as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon fired a white beam of energy that destroyed the Chamberlain of the Six Samurai with ease.
"With that, I end my turn by placing one card facedown," Kaiba finished, a satisfied smirk on his face.
"I'll add to that by activating a Trap," Dani announced, "Dragoncarnation will allow me to bring back my banished White Stone of Legend to my hand." As she plucked the card out of the banished zone, Noah drew a card from his Deck. Frowning, he began to make his move.
"I Summon The Six Samurai – Kamon to the field in Attack mode!" Noah announced. A samurai in orange armor and completely covered in dynamite sticks appeared next to Kagemusha of the Six Samurai, holding a couple of sticks of dynamite in one hand and a torch in the other.
The Six Samurai – Kamon: Atk 1500, Def 1000, LV 3
"Oh damn," Dani gasped, "Of course he had a backup."
"You got that right!" Noah declared, "So now I tune my Kagemusha of the Six Samurai with my Six Samurai Kamon to Synchro Summon yet another mighty warrior!" Kagemusha dissolved into two shining stars that expanded outwards into two green rings, both of which surrounded Kamon, turning the explosive samurai into three more stars that aligned themselves in the rings before erupting into a pillar of light. "Oh great master of our order, rise to power and crush all that would oppose you! Annihilate our enemies, my lord, and rule this world with an iron fist! Rise up and rule! Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En!" Noah chanted as a powerful samurai in orange armor stepped out from the pillar of light as it faded, blue and yellow accents all over his armor as Shi En drew his blade, pointed it at the sky, and took a battle pose. Two more lights activated on the Gateway of the Six, bringing the total Bushido Counter count up to eight on the pagoda.

Dani sighed. "And now we're gonna have major trouble activating Spells and Traps. Sonuva bitch!"
Noah snickered. "I still remember the look on your face when you first discovered his ability."
Dani shot him a look that could shatter granite before turning her attention to Kaiba's inquisitive look. "Basically, that samurai can stop the activation of one of our Spells or Traps every turn."
Kaiba's frown deepened at that news. "Well then, I have a way around that if you plan to activate a Spell next turn."
"Do you?" Dani asked suspiciously, "Or are you just telling me that so you can activate one of your Traps without any repercussions?"
Kaiba held her gaze, dark blue eyes boring into light blue. "You'll just have to trust me."
"Oh that's cute," Alex laughed, "Telling her to trust you after you've used her during this Duel. Like that'll happened. Once burned twice shy Kaiba, you should know this by now."
"All too well," Noah shot at him, "See if I Duel with you again brother. Go Shi En! Attack Kaiba's X-Head Cannon with your Secret Sword attack!" The legendary samurai held his blade pointed downward and angled behind him as he charged, moving effortlessly as the samurai approached the robot, barely even seeming to move as he decapitated the machine and returned to Noah's side of the field, mission accomplished. Kaiba's X-Head Cannon exploded when Shi En sheathed his blade.
"I end my turn," Noah announced, "Given that Alex stole my other monster, I guess I'll have to make do with Shi En."
"I'm detecting some salt," Dani commented as she drew a card. She glanced at Kaiba for a second before she played that card. "I'll activate my Spell Stamping Destruction! Since I have a Dragon type monster on the field, I get to destroy one of your Spells or Traps and you take 500 points of damage!"
"Yeah right," Noah laughed, "Come on Dani, you know Shi En is just going to negate that Spell. Why even bother trying?"
Dani looked at Kaiba with a pleading look. "Because I'm trusting my partner to back me up on this one. I choose to destroy your Gateway of the Six!"
"In that case, I activate Shi En's special ability to negate and destroy your Stamping Destruction," Noah said. His legendary samurai darted forward and slashed the holographic card in half.
"I activate Absorb Spell!" Kaiba interrupted quickly, "Now I'll take the effect of Dani's spell and use it for my own. Since you used your samurai's ability on her card, now I get to destroy your Gateway of the Six! Go my Blue-Eyes, use the power Dani provided to get rid of that temple once and for all!"
"NO!" Noah shouted in disbelief as Kaiba's Blue-Eyes roared a challenge, a white aura surrounding the mighty dragon as while Noah's samurai dealt with Dani's spell card, the dragon flew towards the Gateway of the Six, gathering energy in its mouth all the while. The Legendary Six Samurai Shi En turned around in time to see the Blue-Eyes White Dragon unleash another mighty beam that struck the Gateway of the Six and completely obliterated the proud structure, buffeting Noah with some shards of wood as Kaiba's Blue-Eyes roared triumphantly.
Noah LP: 1000
"No way, how could you have done that?" Noah asked incredulously.
"Teamwork," Dani said with a smile. "Noah, I told you that you picked the wrong night to mess with me. First I use my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon's special ability to bring back the other Blue-Eyes from my Graveyard." Like before, her Red-Eyes shot a fireball at a nearby mountain and through that fireball summoned another Blue-Eyes that joined Dani's other Blue-Eyes on the field of play.
"Uh-oh," Noah said quietly.
"Don't you dare," Alex warned. "Or you'll have hell to pay
"You only have yourself to blame for dragging him into this," Dani shot back at Alex, "You underestimated our Blue-Eyes and now you're gonna get burned. Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack Noah's Legendary Samurai Shi En now! White Lightning attack!" As Dani's dragon prepared to attack, Noah looked at his older brother, desperately hoping for something.
"Come on Alex, you have to have something that can stop her. Please!" he begged, "You said these Shadow Duels were going to be dangerous. I don't want to lose a Shadow Duel!" Meanwhile, Dani's Blue-Eyes fired another white beam of destructive energy that overwhelmed Shi En's defenses and destroyed the legendary Samurai.
Noah LP: 300
Noah groaned as the wave of pain hit him from the Life Point loss, the agony so great he was forced to a knee. "Brother, please!"
Alex looked away from his younger brother. "I'm sorry Noah. I'll take care of these two from here. Thank you for trying."
Noah was dumbfounded. "Brother?!"
Dani was relentless, given the mood she was in. "Finish him off Blue-Eyes number two!" Her second White Dragon flew forward and swatted Noah with his tail, sending him flying out of the firewall and into a pile of rubble.
Noah LP: 0
"And good riddance!" Dani exclaimed with a satisfactory nod.
"Note to self," Crow muttered, "Avoid getting on her really bad side."
Akiza overheard the Blackwing Duelist and giggled. "Crow, you should know by now not to mess with a woman too much."
"Just saying," Crow pointed out, "Some women are a lot more trouble when they're angry. Though it seems hard not to, I'd rather not make Dani angry anymore, ehe."
Akiza looked at Crow weirdly for a second before the light bulb went on in her head. She simply smiled at Crow sweetly and said "That's very considerate of you."
"I can't touch that Tormentor," Dani noted, "So I'll just end my turn there."
"I hope you're ready to pay for defeating my brother," Alex growled as he drew a card. "Obelisk the Tormentor, obliterate one of her Blue-Eyes now with your Fists of Fate! Get rid of that wretched dragon!"
"Oh crapbaskets," Dani said as she watched Obelisk's mighty fists come crashing towards her dragon, crushing the unfortunate Blue-Eyes underneath the raw power of the Egyptian god. Dani was knocked over by the shock wave from the attack and her head hit a rock, stunning her momentarily.
Dani LP: 1900
"Hang in there Dani!" Yusei called. He watched as she stirred on the ground, trying to get back on her feet.
"If she can't get up soon," Alex warned, "she'll have to forfeit."
"Are you really that desperate to win?" Kaiba asked, "Bending the rules just so you can claim victory. How pathetic."
"It seems you have forgotten your victory over Yugi at Duelist Kingdom," Alex shot back, earning a raised eyebrow from Kaiba. "Oh yeah, I've seen the replays. How'd you managed to Summon all your Blue-Eyes like that in one turn? Hypocrisy at its finest!"
"You can't seriously be using that joke of a tournament as an excuse," Kaiba said, glaring at Alex, "I had more important tasks to do, like rescuing Mokuba from that snake Pegasus!"
Alex laughed. "I'm fighting for the Chaos Movement like you fought for your brother. How does that make what I'm doing any different?"
"Because I put my own life on the line," Kaiba snapped, "I didn't hide behind my brother and I fought my own battles. You're trying to take advantage of a woman you hurt in order to save your own skin after using your younger brother to fuel your own plans. You're a pathetic coward too scared to face me head on, that's what you are."
Yami watched, fascinated as Alex snapped, a red hue taking over his face. "Well then, why don't you try taking me on in single combat?"
Dani groaned as she sat up, holding her head and attracting everyone's attention. "Because I'm not going to go out that easily." She tenderly made her way back to her feet, wincing as she felt the area that had hit the ground hard. "Owww. Alright, I'll be fine. That the best you got?"
Alex growled in frustration, his attempt to level the playing field thwarted. "Not by a long shot, but you're lucky Obelisk gets one attack per round. I Summon my own Chamberlain of the Six Samurai in Defense mode and end my turn." As the cyborg samurai materialized in front of Alex, holding his blade defensively, Kaiba smirked as he drew a card.
Chamberlain of the Six Samurai: Atk 200, Def 2000, LV 3
"Looks like this is the end for you," Kaiba said, "I activate Polymerization and send from my hand one Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the Graveyard, as well as one of Dani's Blue-Eyes and my own Blue-Eyes in order to Summon my favorite Blue-Eyes!" Three Blue-Eyes White Dragons rose up into the sky, leaving a fourth Blue-Eyes on Dani's side of the field next to her Red-Eyes, and began flying around each other in a circle.
"No!" Alex shouted, eyes widening as he watched the dragons begin to fuse together. "This can't be happening!"
"You brought this upon yourself when you decided to take on two masters of the Blue-Eyes White Dragons!" Dani said with a grin. Kaiba glanced at her curiously, almost as if he might've been offended by that statement, but said nothing as the three dragons were engulfed by light. As the light faded and the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon began to descend with a roar, Obelisk the Tormentor roared a challenge right back at the Dragon.
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon: Atk 4700, Def 4000, LV 12
Dani's eyes lit up at the sight of the Ultimate Dragon. Here she was fighting alongside a legendary Blue-Eyes she had only seen twice now. The pain from her fall was but a distant throb. "No matter how many times I see that dragon, I will never grow tired of it."
"Now it's time to put you in your place!" Kaiba announced, "I activate my Equip Spell Megamorph and give it to my Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Since I have fewer Life Points than you right now, that means my Dragon's Attack Points are doubled!" Kaiba's three-headed Blue-Eyes began to grow, doubling in size until it stood above Obelisk the Tormentor in height.
"Whoa!" Crow exclaimed as he craned his neck to try and see the top of the Blue-Eyes Ultimate.
"Well done Kaiba," Yami said with a grin on his face.
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon: Atk 9000
"Not quite over nine thousand," Dani said with a cheeky grin, "But close enough. Finish him Kaiba!"
"With pleasure," Kaiba replied, "Hit him now Blue-Eyes with your Neutron Blast!" Each head on the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon began gathering energy; the one on the left had a blue blast in his mouth, the one in the center had orange energy and the one of the right had green energy. Each head fired its respective beam of energy that combined together into one giant multicolored laser aimed at Obelisk the Tormentor.
"No!" Alex shouted, "Obelisk, stop him with your Fists of Fate!" The blue demon tried to punch the incoming attack but was easily overwhelmed. The Egyptian god was obliterated and Alex got caught in the mighty explosion, too quick for him to even scream. When the smoke cleared, everyone could see his crumpled form in the blast crater left from the demise of the Egyptian god.
Alex LP: 0
The silver firewall faded as the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon uttered a victory roar before fading. Dani made it to her own Blue-Eyes White Dragon as her Red-Eyes faded and she patted her Blue-Eyes on the nose, drawing a contented growl from the legendary dragon before it too faded from existence.
"Thank you my friend," Dani said quietly to the fading dragon, kneeling down on the ground, "I couldn't have done it without you." Kaiba in the meantime walked over to Alex's unconscious form and plucked Obelisk the Tormentor off of his Duel Disk, eyeing the knocked out samurai suspiciously before marching over to Yami.
"I believe this is yours," he said simply as he handed the Egyptian god to the Pharaoh. "I will win that card back from you fair and square."
"I look forward to the challenge," Yami answered with a grin as he took the card back. Meanwhile, Crow and Akiza had rushed forward to support the exhausted Dani, who had begun to wobble a bit when her adrenaline rush had worn off.
"I'll be alright," she gasped as they tried to support her, "I just want to go back to the hideout and sleep this off like a baaad hangover." As she tried to move, Akiza threw her arm over her shoulder and assisted her.
"Might as well get going then," Crow said, eyeing Dani's condition, "You and Kaiba sure made it a decent ways from the hideout. Akiza, you get her back safely, okay?"
Akiza nodded with a twinkle in her eye. "Of course. You can count on me."
"It was supposed to be a simple midnight stroll," Dani said as she and Akiza began to make their way back to the hideout.
"What'll we do about Alex?" Yusei asked, "And his brother? We can't just leave them here."
Kaiba had the solution. "We take them with us to the hideout as our prisoners. In the morning we'll get one of them to tell us where the Master's hideout is and tomorrow we'll finish this madness."
"Sounds like a plan," Yusei said, walking over to Alex's unconscious form. He eyed the samurai armor which looked rather heavy. Both Six Samurai brothers were not small guys "Now to get them back to the hideout with us. Care to lend a hand you guys?"
"Sure thing!" Crow said, hustling over to where Noah had landed. "I got dibs on the one not wearing armor!"
This is by far the longest chapter in the story. Next chapter will be the flash to the past chapter you all have been waiting for, where Joey will take on a certain agent of the Master named Mika in what will certainly be an entertaining Duel. Hope you all enjoyed the chapter!
Response to Guest Reviews (in order with which they reviewed)
Guest 2: Glad you enjoyed it, I don't plan on using the Deck Master Rule, that was something special during the Battle City side arc, I don't see the need to bring it back for this story. Yes, there will be more tag Duels, but there won't be any more fan-votes.
Corina O: That's how they beat a god, lol, glad you enjoyed that chapter and chapter 3 (holy crap that chapter seems so long ago). By the way, does Mika have a certain kanji you'd like to use or shall I proceed as planned with what I believe fits her?
Guest 2: Both Kaiba and Dani think they could use a better partner, but they were stuck with each other, as per the fan vote. And shhhhh, I don't want you revealing spoilers like that
MaleficKing: Looks like the copyright laws have struck again. Oh well, I saw what I needed. Wyrms and Yang Zings are certainly an interesting possibility I hadn't explored before. Hmmm, it's unlikely that they'll make an appearance though I won't rule it out entirely. As for these new Red-Eyes cards, no I hadn't heard about them and the only thing I can find online are fan-made versions. You sure they're a thing? Either way, I look forward to your review
BANKAIZEN: Since you have your PM's turned off, I'll respond here. Yes, I do believe my story is interesting and hope to hear more from you in the future, hopefully a bit more elaborate than a one word review.
Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Reviews are always welcome, as is any and all respectful criticism. Seriously, I like hearing from you guys. As an author, I'm always looking to improve. Happy Easter everybody!
