Chapter 4; New Kids

Before I start, I should tell you how the Shadow do speak like this = "Speak". I forgot about it in the last chapter. I have fixed it, because this is how I'm doing for the Pokedex entries.

Location; Shujin Academy, Aoyama-Itchome

After they escaped, Ryuji said as they were far away from the castle. "Did we make it?"

"You have returned to the real world. Welcome back." Ren's phone said before Ren pulled it out of his pocket and noticed the bracelet on his arm was still there. Ryuji then said confused. "Huh? Returned? Does that mean we got away?"

"I don't see the castle anymore, so I think we are in the clear." Aqua said behind them. Ryuji and Ren turned around and saw Aqua's new outfit. She was now wearing a female version of their school uniform, but had blue jeans under her skirt and had a mark of three instead of two. Ryuji then said to her. "Where did you get that outfit?"

"I don't know, but I am not complaining." Aqua said, taking a closer look at her clothes. Ren then said to Aqua. "By the way, where are those animal's you had with you?"

"Can we talk about all of this craziness later, my head is starting to hurt." Ryuji said, putting a hand on his head. Aqua took out one of her Pokeballs and said. "Which part? The castle? My Pokemon? Or is it about Morgana, the talking cat?"

"All of the above." Ryuji said, still confused. Aqua put away her Pokeballs and two male officers walked up to them and one of them said. "Hey are you three students of Shujin?"

"Uh… Yes?" Ryuji said and the other one said. "Finally. We've been looking for you?"

"Why?" Aqua said and one of them said. "We got a call from a lady saying that three Shujin students were just kidnapped."

"Kidnapped?" Ryuji said before Ren got an idea. Ren said to the officers, stepping in front of Ryuji and Aqua. "Yes. We just escape from them."

"And you are ok?" One of the officers said and Ren said to them. "We're fine, but he…" Ren pointed to Ryuji. "...got hit in the head, so he is a little confused."

"So what happens now?" Aqua said before one of the officers said. "Go to school, we'll call them and let them know you are coming now."

"Ok, thanks." Ren said as he left. "Wait really!?" Ryuji said before Aqua grabbed him and said. "Yeah, now let's go."

Location; Prosecutor Office

"A minister of Transport announcing his resignation…" The SIU Director said out loud in his office. He then laughed and said. "Things are going as planned… Sae Niijima… That reminds me…" He stopped and put that thought out of his mind and said. "...Better to leave it be for now."

Location; Shujin Academy, Aoyama-Itchome

"So this is your school?" Aqua said to Ryuji and Ren. Ryuji said to her. "Yeah, but this is weird. I'm sure we came the same way… What's going on here…?"

"That's exactly what I wanted to ask you." A male school counselor said on top of the school's stairs. They all turned to him and Aqua said to him. "What do you mean?"

"We got a call from the police that you were cutting school." The counselor said, surprising them. Ryuji got mad and said to the counselor. "That is not what happened."

"Still making excuses, Sakamoto." A familiar voice said, causing them all to jump. "Kamoshida!?" Ryuji said as Aqua grabbed one of her Pokeballs. Ren noticed how different Kamoshida looked and stopped Aqua from doing anything. Kamoshida then said to Ryuji. "You seem so carefree, Sakamoto. Quite a difference from when you did morning practice for the track team."

"Shuddup! It's your fault that–" Ryuji said before the counselor yelled at him. "How dare you speak that way to Mr. Kamoshida! …There's not much leeway left for you, you know?"

"He's the one that provoked me!" Ryuji said before the counselor said. "Do you really want to be expelled!? In any case, you'll have to explain yourself! Follow me!"

"What!? This is bullshit!" Ryuji yelled back at the counselor. The counselor was going to yell back at Ryuji, but Kamoshida stopped him and said. "Come now. I should have been more considerate, too. Let's just say that we were both to blame."

"Well, if you say so… Still, you're coming with me. It's undeniable that you're extremely late." The counselor said to Ryuji. Ryuji didn't want to agree with the counselor, but he had no choice. Kamoshida turned to Aqua and Ren, then said to them. "By the way… you two are the new transfer students, correct? Ren Amamiya and Aqua Kangofu?"

"That's right." Ren said as Aqua wondered how they knew about her. Ryuji then went with the counselor, but not before giving Kamoshida a nastly look. As Aqua and Ren walked up the step's, Kamoshida said to Ren. "...Have we met somewhere?"

"I saw a girl in your car." Ren said and Kamoshida said to him. "Hm…? Oh, I remember now… I saw you at the station. …Well, I'll overlook this just for today. I'm sure you've heard from the principal, but cause any trouble and you'll be expelled. Understand?"

"I understand."

"At any rate, hurry up and go to the faculty office. I'm sure Ms. Kawakami and Mr. Shita is tired of waiting for you two. Good luck trying to enjoy your new school life." Kamoshida said before he cracked a grin and left them. Aqua then said to Ren. "He must have been the one that picked up the phone calls from the police."

"Probably."

"He's going to ruin our lives just for fun."

"Most likely."

"Shall we go to the faculty office?"

"Yep." Ren said as they both walked into the school.

Location; Integration Room

Sae stopped Ren from taking and said to him. "The school turned into an old castle? A girl from the same world the Pokemon came from? A talking cat? …Are you hallucinating from an overdose? I won't put up with you if you're simply joking around."

"I'm not joking around." Ren said before Sae took a look at her watch. After she got the time, she said to Ren. "I'm going to have you continue the story. The one who received a "calling card" from the Phantom Thieves was an Olympic medalist…" She then pulled a picture of Kamoshida. "...An alumnus from Shujin Academy– the PE teacher Suguru Kamoshida. It all came out in his confession. He was guilty of everything– the abuse, the violations… But there should've been no connection between the two of you since you had just transferred. Why did you target him?"

"You should already know why."

"That's unacceptable! Try and recall it once again!" Sae said before Ren started his story again.

Location; Shujin Academy, Aoyama-Itchome

Inside the school, after Aqua got directions from a teacher. They went to the faculty office. As they went to the faculty office, they heard the students wondering about Aqua, spreading bad rumors about Ren, speaking bad of Ryuji and speaking of greatness for Kamoshida. After they entered the faculty office, Kawakami said to them. "Unbelievable… Being over half a day late on your first day? Can you explain yourself?"

"We were in trouble." Ren said and Aqua said. "Yeah, big trouble."

"That would explain why the two were late with Sakamoto." A male voice said and they all turned to see a man in his mid-twenties, wearing a blue suit, short blonde hair and blue eyes. Aqua looked at him and said. "Who are you?"

"I am Mr. Shita, your homeroom teacher. Nice to meet you." Shita said, giving Aqua his hand. Aqua took it and said. "Hello Mr. Shita." Kawakami turned to Shita and said. "But that's not what Kamoshida said to us."

"And you believe what that idiot told us." Shita said and Ren said to him. "You're not a fan of Kamoshida?"

"How can you be a fan of someone that push all of their work onto you and walking around like a dumb king." Shita said, causing Ren and Aqua to think about the castle again. Shita then said to Kawakmi. "And Kawakmi-senpai don't get to mad at them. They are here, they are safe, and since break is almost over, we should introduce them to their class."

"Fine, but classes will end after fifth period today because of the subway accident. Follow me." Kawakmi said as Ren followed her and Aqua followed Shita. For Ren, Kawakami stopped them and said to him. "By the way, when you introduce yourself… Be serious about it even if you're lying to the class, okay? Do NOT say anything unnecessary." Ren got the idea and they started to walk again. For Aqua, Shita said to her as they were walking. "Now your mother told us that you were just flying from over sea and that you just arrived here. That's why you weren't at the meeting yesterday, so we gave her all of your school ideas, more uniforms, and I was giving an address, but seeing how we are pressed for time. Come back to the faculty office after class." Then both of them entered their respective classrooms.

For Ren, the students were trying to match the rumors with him. "Settle down." Kawakami said before they all stopped talking. She then said to them. "...Well, I'd like to introduce a transfer student; Ren Amamiya. Today, we… had him attend from the afternoon on since he wasn't feeling well. All right, please say something to the class."

"I'm Ren Amamiya. Nice to meet you." Ren said, but the others still fear him. Kawakami felt the tension in the air and said. "...Uhh, so… Your seat will be… Hmm… Over there. The one that's open. Sorry, but can the people nearby please share your textbooks with him for today?" That upset the class and Ren went to his seat, which was right behind the girl he saw just before he and Ryuji entered the castle. "...Lies." She said, causing Ren to notice her. Ren didn't say anything and took a seat. This caused the other students to think that Ren hit on her. And that she was also cheating on Kamoshida. That part made the girl's blood boil with anger.

As for Aqua, she was still wondering who enrolled into this school and got housing for her time here. So she didn't hear the students asking questions about her. "Ok, that's enough questions. I'm sure you can ask her all the questions during the volleyball rally's in two days. Since everyone's just changed classes, make sure you use that time to get to know each other. Now back to class and for you Kangofu, your seat is next Okumara-kun." Shita said, pointing to a girl with chin-length curly light auburn hair, and brown eyes. Aqua took her seat and said to Okumara. "I'm looking forward to being neighbors." Okumara didn't say anything and the class started again.

After class we're over, Ren thought he was back in the castle for a moment. "Hm? What's wrong?" Kawakami said to Ren as he put a hand to his head. Ren put his hand down and said to her. "Nothing, just feeling a little light headed."

"Are you sure you're okay? Also… it seems like people are already talking about you, but I'm not the one who told them. I can't even catch a break… Why do I have to deal with this? You should head straight home without stopping by anywhere. Sakura-san sounded pretty angry. Oh, and about Sakamoto-kun. Don't get involved–" Kawakami stopped as Ryuji walked up to them. She then said to Ryuji. "Speak of the devil… What do you want? I heard the police caught you cutting classes today."

"Ugh… It was nothing."

"And you haven't dyed your hair back to black either…"

"Sorry about that." Ryuji said, before he whispered to Ren. "...I'll be waiting on the rooftop, Aqua will meet us up there after she stops by the faculty office." He then left and Kawakami said to him. "See? That's why I don't want you getting involved. Understood?" She then left them, and before he went to the rooftop, he saw Kamoshida talking with Principal Kobayakawa. "Why did you allow a student like him to transfer here? He's already started associating with Sakamoto. And the foreign exchange student has made friends with the two worst kids in our school. At this rate, it'd be pointless how much I contribute to the school."

"Now, don't be like that…This school counts on you, Kamoshida-kun. You are our star. Still, a steady build up is necessary behind such brilliance as well."

"...Your troubles never seem to end, do they, Principal Kobayakawa. All right, I understand. I'll continue to do my best to answer your expectations of me." Kamoshida said before they both went their separate ways. Ren then went to the rooftop, and while it did have an off-limits sign posted on the door, it was unlocked. So Ren just walked right in and saw Ryuji watching Aqua feed her Pokemon. "...There you are. Sorry for calling you up here like this. I bet Kawakami already told you stuff like, "don't get involved with him," huh?"

"She said you're trouble."

"Heh, we're pretty much in the same boat. Minus Kangofu. While I hear you have a criminal record, I hear that she is foreign exchange student from America."

"Can we stop talking about rumors and talk about the castle?" Aqua said as she stopped feeding her Pokemon and Ren said to them. "Actually I want to know about your...?"

"Pokemon?"

"Yeah." Ren said as Aqua pulled out her Rotom Phone. Rotom flew out of her hand and Ryuji said. "What is wrong with your phone?"

"Nothing is wrong with it." Aqua said before Ren said. "So how does it fly?"

"It is because it has a Rotom inside of it."

"What is a Rotom?" Ryuji said as the phone landed in Aqua hand and out came a yellow ball with a pointy top, blue eyes and a wicked smile. "That is a Rotom." Aqua said as Rotom returned to the phone. Aqua then said to Rotom. "Rotom, can you give Ren and Ryuji the Pokedex information about you and my other Pokemon?"

"Understood." Rotom said, with a female voice before flying to them and showing pictures of her. "Rotom, The Plasma Pokemon. With a body made of plasma, it can inhabit all sorts of machines. It loves to surprise others." She then showed a picture of Brionne. "Brionne, The Pop Star Pokemon. A skillful dancer, it creates a sequence of water balloons as it dances, and briskly bombards its enemies." She then showed a picture of Fletchinder. "Fletchinder, The Ember Pokemon. Fletchinder are exceedingly territorial and aggressive. These Pokémon fight among themselves over feeding grounds." She then showed a picture of Phanpy. "Phanpy, The Long Nose Pokemon. It is strong despite its compact size. It can easily pick up and carry an adult human on its back."

"Do you have anymore Pokemon?" Ren said and Aqua said as her Pokemon joined her. "No, these are my only Pokemon." They then went to Ren and gave him a hug. Ryuji then said to Aqua. "Why are they giving it a hug?"

"Thank Ren for saving me. Just like he has my thanks as well." Aqua said and Ryuji said. "Oh, yeah! Me too."

"It was nothing." Ren said as the Pokemon got off him. While Brionne and Fletchinder returned to Aqua, Phanpy looked over the edge. Aqua quickly returned Phanpy to her Pokeball and Ryuji said to them. "But man, that castle, that Kamoshida we saw there… You prolly don't know about it, but there are some rumors about him."

"Does it match what we saw in the castle?" Aqua said and Ryuji said. "Yeah. That asshole medalist took the volleyball team to nationals. So no one says anything against him. The way Kamoshida was king of that castle felt crazy because…"

"He acts like that at school" Ren said to Ryuji. Ryuji looked down and said. "...I wonder if we can go back to that castle again… Ugh, forget it. Sorry to drag you out here like this. That's all I had to say."

"It's fine, I need a spot to feed my Pokemon." Aqua said as she returned her Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Ryuji then said to Aqua. "Do you really want to hang out with us "troublemakers?"

"I may not look at it, but I am a troublemaker myself. So we are going to get along great." Aqua said with a smile, causing them to smile too. Ryuji then said to them before he left. "Then actually talk to me when you see me, don't blow me off." Ren then said to Aqua. "Aqua aren't you from another world?"

"Is it that obvious?"

"Well now one in this world has Pokemon."

"I figured that out just by walking to this school. Why did you ask me anyway?"

"I was just making sure you actually have a place to sleep tonight?"

"Thank you for asking, Ren. But I already have living arrangements." Aqua said before pulling out a piece of paper. "It somewhere in Yongen-Jaya."

"Yongen-Jaya?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I am staying at a place there."

"Can you show me how to get there?"

"Sure, follow me." Ren said as they left the school.

Location; Leblanc, Yongen-Jaya

After taking the trains to Yongen-Jaya. Ren stopped in front of Leblanc's door and said to her. "While this is my place."

"Isn't this a cafe?"

"It is."

"Oh, I have to go inside." Aqua said pushing Ren aside and Sojiro said to her as she entered the room. "Hey, I got a call from the school… Oh, sorry I thought you were someone else." Ren then walked in and said to Sojiro. "Sorry about school, Sojiro." He then turned to Aqua. "And sorry about him, Kangofu-senpai."

"It's fine, and please call me Aqua." Aqua said before turning to Sojiro. She said to him. "And don't be too mad at Ren, he helped me out of trouble."

"I will be mad. If he takes one wrong step, his life is over."

"Is he talking about your criminal record?" Aqua said to Ren. "Yeah, I'm on probation, so I am trying to avoid trouble." Ren said and Aqua said. "But you can't walk away if people are in trouble?"

"Yeah."

"That is a good thing to have." Aqua said and Sojiro was going to say something, but his phone rang. He picked it up and they heard him say. "Hey, what's up? …Yeah, I just closed up shop. I'll head over in half an hour, as promised."

"In that case, I'll be going. See you in the morning." Aqua said as she left. After she was gone, Sojiro said to Ren. "What're you standing around for? Get upstairs and go to bed already." He then said into his phone. "...No, it's a guy. I just hired a part-timer." As Ren went to his room, Sojiro said to him. "Don't forget to lock the door and turn all the lights off, okay?" He then said into his phone. "...Yup, I'm leaving now. I told you, he's a part-timer…"

After Aqua left Ren, she opened her Rotom Phone and looked for the address. The house was small at the end of the street and had the bare essentials for a house. As Aqua looked around and saw the person in red again. The person saw her and walked away. "Hey stop!" Aqua said letting her Pokemon out and they ran after him or her. The person in red didn't stop and went to a door. The person in red opened the door and walked through it, then closed it before Aqua reached him or her. Aqua opened it and found a stairway leading to a basement. Aqua went down and lost track of the person in red. "Where did he or she go?" Aqua said looking around the basement, which was really big, had targets, a bed with a scanner over it and a PC Box next to a table. "What is this place?" Aqua said before she heard a ringing sound. She looked around and saw a phone icon on the PC Box. Aqua used the PC Box and a video call from Kangofu. She then said to Aqua. "Aqua, finally we got a hold of you."

"Ms. Kangofu? How are you calling me?"

"It's because of your Watch. It help us find your location." A new female said offscreen. Aqua then said to Kangofu. "Who was that?"

"That was me." The female voice said walking into the screen. She had tan skin, a gray shirt and white hair. Aqua knew her and said. "Professor Burnet? Do you know what is going on?"

"You are in the center of a Poke-Wormhole event." Professor Burnet said and Aqua didn't know what that was. "I don't have the slightest idea what you just said?" Aqua said before Kangofu said. "Pokemon are getting transported to the world you're currently in."

"Wait? What!?" Aqua said suppressed, just like her Pokemon.

Location; Castle of ?

"Round up those things!" A gold knight said as all kinds of Pokemon were getting caught one after another. Hiding in a room, a black lion cub with a fire main looked out of the room and didn't see anyone. It turned to a white bug. A blue dog with yellow eyes, rings around it front paws and yellow stars on its ears and at the end of its tail, and had black fur on it's lower half and around its neck. And a brown puppy with blue eyes and rocks for a collar. The lion said to them in a female voice. [Ok, I think we are safe here.]

[What do we do now?] The bug said in a male voice and the dogs had the same question. The lion said to them. [You three stay here. I'll be back.] She then went to the door, but was stopped by the blue dog. It said to her in a male voice. [You can't go out there, it's not safe.]

[No. I have to go.] She said before looking at the brown dog and said to it. [Keep them safe.]

[I will.] The brown dog said with a male voice as the lion left them. That night, the Pokemon the lion left were too scared to sleep, and the longer the lion was gone the more fear they felt.
