Joe and Taylor got back from their trip and even got to unpack and shower before heading to family dinner.
"So how do you wanna announce it?" Joe asks her on the car ride over.
"I don't know, let's just walk in there and tell them." She says laughing.
"You know what would be really funny? If we didn't say anything and just waited to see who noticed." Joe suggested also laughing.
"Oh my god, imagine your grandfather though, he'd be like waiting, so confused at why nothing was being said but I had the ring on!" Taylor laughs harder at the thought.
"Ha yeah that's too mean. We'll just go with your idea and announce it when we sit down."
"So are you gonna say it or?" She wonders.
"Yeah I will. But don't try and hide it, if someone sees it first then let it go from there."
"Yeah yeah that's good." The conversation ends when they park outside the house.
"Hey hey!" Eddie says greeting them as she came out of the bathroom. She was still huge, looked like that baby was ready already.
"How are you feeling?" Taylor asked and followed her to the dining room where everyone else was.
"Good! I had and appointment a few days ago and everything's looking good still!"
"That's great!" She exclaimed and everyone sat down.
"How was the trip?" Jamie wondered.
"We can talk about it after grace!" Joe said and gave a nod to Frank, everyone bowed there heads. Frank smiled when he saw the ring on her finger after she joined her hands together on the table.
When it was over everyone was eager to start eating.
"So how was weather up there for ya?" Frank asked Joe and Taylor.
"Freezing!" She said.
"It was very cold, I thought I was gonna drop the ring my hands were so numb." Joe looked around at who was really listening to what he had said. Every single person around the table swung there heads to look at him.
"Ring?" Erin asked.
"What ring!?" Eddie also said.
"Oh just this one." Taylor set her hand out so everyone could see.
"What!" Danny said excited.
"Congratulations!" Erin exclaimed.
"Woah." Jamie said and looked at Eddie but her and Erin were already up and on their way to hug her and Joe.
"Holy crap." Sean said laughing.
"What a surprise!" Henry exclaimed exchanging looks with Frank.
"Right?" He said back pointing.
"You knew!" Henry called him out and he laughed.
"He was the only one who knew." Joe told them all, as he finished shaking Danny and Jamies hand.
"That didn't take very long." Sean said as they all got back to there seats to continue filling there plates.
"You're telling me!" Taylor said.
"You didn't have any idea?!" Erin asked.
"No! We were taking a picture and he all of a sudden was down on one knee!" She explained.
"Aww" the girls said.
"We have it on video." Joe reminded.
"Oh yeah! After dinner we'll have to show you all." Taylor told them.
"Ugh I'd love ours on video!" Eddie said pushing Jamie's shoulder.
"Hey you should just be glad I had a ring to give to you, it was so last minute." Jamie said laughing.
"True." She agreed.

After dinner they showed everyone the video of the proposal. Joe was helping Henry with clean up.
"So guess you guys are serious." Henry said obviously being funny.
"Ha. I guess." Joe laughed and Henry smiled.
"What'd your mother have to say?"
"Oh she's excited, she knew it was happening. I talked to her first, kinda got her permission honestly." He explained drying the dishes. Henry made a confused face at what he said. Joe glanced around the room making sure it was just them.
"Well you know since Taylor's parents aren't around." He said quietly.
"Right, right. That slipped my mind. What a shame." He said shaking his head.
"Yeah. It's gonna be interesting."
"Why's that?"
"Well she doesn't seem to fond of even having a wedding because of it. No dad to walk her, and no mom to do whatever it is moms do to help."
"Her and Eddie are similar. Now both her parents are alive but Francis walked her down, and I don't think she had her mother too involved in anything. It was all Erin and Nikki." He said.
"Really?" this was news to Joe.
"Yeah, her and her mother butt heads and well her fathers in jail so-"
"I never realized how similar they were in that way. Interesting." Joe said.
"One piece of advice is, if she doesn't want a big fancy to do of a wedding, don't have one. Girls dream about their wedding day so, if you get one that hasn't…you're one lucky guy. You'll save a lot of money." He said with a wink. Joe smiles and takes the advice.
When they were done they went and joined the rest of the family. They couldn't stay much longer because Joe worked early tomorrow and was still tired from the trip. Taylor was smart and took Monday off ahead of time so she could catch up on laundry and go grocery shopping.
"Well congrats again, let me know if you want help with anything once you start planning!" Eddie said and gave Taylor a hug goodbye.
"I definitely will!" She said. Eddie gave Joe a hug too before leaving.
On the drive home Joe told Taylor some of the things Henry shared with him. How her and Eddie could really get along and relate to a lot when it comes to family stuff. She took it into consideration and planned on leaning on her a little with things. She was starting to come around to the whole idea of a wedding a little more the more she learned about Jamie and Eddie's. She didn't feel like the odd one out anymore. Before she had this idea that the whole family was perfect but their not, no one is, their just a little intimating.
