"So ... How's life with two children?" Lucy asked Camille when she, Alexa, and Jo came to visit that afternoon.

"It's great," Camille replied, smiling at her friends while holding Phillip in her arms. But the others noticed immediately that it wasn't her usual happy and radiant smile. Something was bothering her.

"Are you sure?" Alexa asked. "Is it the baby? I mean, it's quite normal for a baby to be very stressful at the beginning."

"No, Phillip's not the problem. To be honest... it's Logan."

"Why?" Jo asked worried. "Isn't he helping you enough?"

Camille shook her head. "The problem isn't that he's not helping me. It's more that he is helping me too much."

The three just looked at her in confusion, so Camille added, "Since Phillip was born, Logan has been doing everything by himself. He looks after the children, gets up at night when Phillip cries, does the dishes... To be honest, I feel pretty redundant."

"Do you have any idea why he's acting this way?" Lucy asked. Camille nodded. "I think he's trying to appease his guilty conscience. When Mia was born, he couldn't help me, so he now devotes all his energy to helping me as much as possible. He doesn't even notice that he is totally overwhelmed by it. I'm amazed that this hasn't led to problems in the studio yet." When she saw her three friends looking at each other uncomfortably, it was clear to Camille that her worries were about to double. "What's wrong?"

"Well, the guys told us that..." Alexa began hesitantly, "well, you know that they are currently in a hot phase and about to finish their latest album. That means they cannot afford to make any mistakes. But Logan makes mistakes all the time. He's unfocused, tired, mixes up song lyrics, messes up dance steps... Kelly, Gustavo and especially Griffin are anything but enthusiastic about it."

"Gustavo even said that if Logan doesn't pull himself together, he'll fire him after the album is released," Lucy added darkly. Camille, whose worst fears had just been surpassed, closed her eyes. "I can't believe it... He didn't tell me a single word about it."

"Cami, you have to talk to Logan. It can't go on like this. You two should actually be beaming with happiness, but instead you're just stressed," Jo said in a serious voice. Camille looked at her and nodded. "I will. As soon as he comes home."

When Logan got home he was surprised at the strange silence in the house. He went into the kitchen and saw Camille standing at the stove, preparing dinner for him. As soon as he saw her, he could literally feel some of the tension from the day disappear. He walked over to her and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Hi, honey. Why is it so unusually quiet?"

Camille turned to him and smiled. "Mia is in her room, listening to a new audio book and is also painting. And Phillip is already sleeping... well, probably not for long, but it's a start."

"Ah, okay. Well, I should check on them anyway, don't you think so? After all, I haven't seen them all day." He was about to turn away and leave the room when Camille took his arm. "I think you'd better stay here and eat something. I made pasta for you."

While Logan ate, Camille watched him in silence. But after a while she asked casually, How was your day?"

Logan shrugged. "It was okay. There is a lot to do at the moment. You know, about the new album. What about you?"

"Oh, my day was pretty good. The girls came by in the afternoon."

"That's nice."

"Yeah... Logan, why didn't you tell me you were having problems in the studio?"

"What makes you think that?"

"Apparently, Kendall, James, and Carlos hinted something like this to their girlfriends... Is that true?"

Logan took a lot of time chewing and swallowing, before he replied evasively, "Oh, it's not that bad. I mean, it's a very tense time right now. But things will get better soon and then-"

"Logan, the girls told me that Gustavo threatened to fire you. Don't you think that this means that you should change something about your current behavior?"

"No, I don't think so," Logan replied stubbornly. Camille put a hand on his. "Logan, I'm seriously worried about you. It can't go on like this."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about the fact that you totally overdid it with your help. Because of you, I feel like I am absolutely unnecessary. I'm glad you want to help me, but this is no help. Not when it means that I have to worry about you all the time and watch how you overwhelm yourself more and more."

"I'm just trying to be a good father."

"You are a great father," Camille said urgently. "You don't have to prove it in that radical way."

When he didn't reply, she asked in a softer tone, "Do you think it has something to do with the fact that you couldn't be there for Mia? Are you trying to make it up to us?"

He tilted his head to one side so he didn't have to look at her. "Probably."

She sighed and sat down next to him so that he couldn't help but look her in the face. "I think we can fix that. How about we come up with a plan for how we can better distribute the chores? And at night we take turns looking after Phillip, okay?"

Logan looked her in the eyes and nodded slowly. "Okay."

Smiling, she got up and took his now empty plate from the table. "Good. And now you go straight upstairs and get some rest. I'll take care of the dishes."

"Are you sure that I shouldn't help you with-"

"Logan..." she said, half warning, half joking. He raised his hands in defense. "Alright, alright. I'll go." He went to the door, then stopped, and turned to her. He walked back, put his arms around her, and gave her a gentle kiss. Then he left the kitchen without saying another word, while Camille shook her head with a smile.

In fact, it didn't take long for Phillip to wake up crying that night. Logan, who had apparently already forgotten their conversation, sat up and was about to get out of bed when Camille held him back. "No, you stay in bed and go back to sleep. I'll go."

Camille entered the baby's bedroom, went to the crib, picked up the screaming Phillip, and sat down with him on a rocking chair. "It's all right, sweetie. It's all right. I love you so much. And your sister loves you too. She is so proud that she is your big sister. She will always take care of you and make sure that nothing will ever happen to you. And your daddy... He's been a bit off track lately, but he's the best daddy in the whole wide world and would do anything for you, your sister, and me. Never forget how much we love you. We are so glad that you are part of our family." She kept talking like this for a long time until Phillip fell asleep again. Smiling, she put him back in his crib and looked at him with a gentle smile, when a voice behind her said, "You always knew how to calm other people down."

Surprised, she turned around and saw Logan standing in the doorway. "What are you doing here? You should be sleeping."

In response, he just smiled, walked over to her, and pulled her close. So they just stood there and looked at their sleeping son. After a while, Camille asked quietly, "Did you mean that seriously? You know, with my ability to calm people down?"

Logan nodded. "Oh yes. Do you remember when I used to have this huge stage fright before performances?"

Camille nodded.

"Every time you managed to calm me down and at the same time encouraged and motivated me. Nobody else could do that. Maybe because you always knew exactly what I wanted to hear."

"And what would that be?"

"That you love me and are proud of me."

"I am and I still do."

"I know," he whispered, kissing the top of her head. "Sorry for my behavior over the last few weeks. I really overdid it."

"Indeed," she agreed, but had to suppress a smile.

"Can I make it up to you?"

Her heart began to pound wildly in her chest at his words, as if she were seventeen again. To be honest, there hasn't been much affection between them lately, because Logan had been too focused on the kids and his work. But that curse seemed to be broken. She turned to him and took his hand in hers. "We'll see about that," she said with a mischievous smile and pulled him out of the room.

She lay on her back and looked up at Logan who was standing over her, his hands caressing her body tenderly. At that moment, she felt so much love for him, wanted him by her side forever. She looked into his eyes and whispered, "Let's get married."

"When?" He whispered back, causing goose bumps on her skin.

"As soon as possible," she replied, pulling him down onto the bed.
