A/N Alrighty then folks I'm back with a new story. This a twist on the original story where Nala was the one the was loyal to Scar and Zira was loyal to Simba. I got this idea from luie91959 so the credit goes to them. Enjoy

A Different Path

Ch 1 Banishment

A creamy coated lioness with blue eyes was brooding. "Nala dear you must stop this," an older creamy coated lioness said.

"Mother if I wanted your opinion I'd ask for it," Nala growled, glaring at her mother, Sarafina. Just then a small light brown cub with light green eyes came up to Nala and Sarafina. Sarafina smiled at the child but Nala glared at her.

"What do you want Kiara?" Nala snapped, glaring at her four month old daughter.

"S...sorry Mother," Kiara stammered, gulping in fear. "B...but King Simba wants to see you."

"Does he now?" Nala growled, extending her claws. "Well you can tell his Majesty that I'm far to pregnant to make the walk and he'll have to come to me if he wants to talk."

"But Mother," Kiara began. But she didn't get a chance to finish before Nala let out a growl and hit the cub hard in her face, sending her sprawling across the ground.

"Don't you dare argue with me you little shit!" the creamy lioness snarled. "Now go!" With the Kiara quickly got to her feet and ran out of the cave to terrified to say another word.

"Nala what the Hell has gotten into you?" Sarafina demanded, glaring at her daughter.

"Excuse me Mother if I'm in a bad mood," Nala growled, laying on the ground. "But a lioness tends to get a little pissy when her mate is murdered and his murderer usurps the throne. And to top it all off I'm left with a useless daughter that Scar himself rejected.

"Nala," Sarafina began. But she was interrupted by Simba entering the cave along with his mate, Zira.

"Well if it isn't their majesties themselves," Nala said, the sarcasm dripping. "To what do I owe the pleasure."

"Nala why must you always act like a jerk?" Zira asked, rolling her ruby red eyes.

"Well I'm sorry if I offended you my Queen," Nala said. "But would you both be so kind as to tell me what you want so I can rest."

"Nala I've heard through a very reliable source that you've been plotting against Zira and I," Simba said.

"Oh?" Nala said, raising her eyes to look at Simba directly. "And why would I do such a thing?"

"Nala it's no secret that you don't like me," Simba said. "You've been very vocal about it."

"Oh lets cut to the chase shall we?" Nala said, getting to her feet. "You want me out is that it?"

"Nala," Simba began. "I don't want to kick you out. Especially when you're as pregnant as you are."

"Well then I suggest you be on your way," Nala said, laying back down. "Unless you have some reliable proof that I, or any of my friends have been conspiring against you and your Queen that is."

"You've been warned Nala," Simba said as he and Zira began to exit the cave. Nala said nothing, knowing that would only anger Simba more and she didn't want to risk banishment until her plan was completed. Instead she only rolled her eyes as she watched them leave. Just then one on Nala's good friends, Tama came up to the creamy lioness.

"What's the plan Nala?" the dark tan lioness asked.

"We wait," Nala said. "Once I deliver my son then we'll strike. It'll be glorious. Simba will be dead and I'll take my rightful place as Queen."

"As you wish Nala," Tama said. With that the two lionesses sat and chatted about their upcoming plans. Sarafina was watching all of this and shaking her head.

"Nala is making a huge mistake," the older lioness thought. "She's ruining not only her life by Kiara's and her unborn cub's lives as well. I've got to convince her to stop this. I just got to figure out how." With that Sarafina went to find Kiara.

Meanwhile Simba was worrying. Just then Zira pressed her nose into her mate's side. "What's wrong Simba?" the tan lioness asked softly.

"Nala," was Simba's response. Then he let out a sigh. "She's gone down such a dark path Zi'. She used to be my best friend and now she's so cold and cruel."

"I know," Zira said with a sigh of her own. "I tried to warn her not to get involved with Scar but she was insistent that it was for the best. He got in her head and now she's so twisted. But I have some good news."

"Oh?" Simba asked with a smile. "Do tell?"

"I'm pregnant," Zira said with a smile. "We're going to have a cub."

"Zira that's wonderful!" Simba exclaimed, pulling Zira close and licking her head. "You just made me so happy! I love you so much!"

"I love you to," Zira said, nuzzling into Simba's red mane. "Lets go tell the others shall we?" With that Zira and Simba went to inform their Pride of the upcoming happy event.

TLKTLKTLK

A few months past and things had gone from bad to worse for Nala and her followers. She had given birth during this time and to her delight she had given birth to not just one but two healthy sons, who she named Kion and Kopa. Kopa had his mother's blue eyes and a creamy brown coat. Kion had his father's brown coat and emerald green eyes. Kopa was smaller than Kion was and not as filled out. This made Nala very angry and she immediately rejected Kopa despite him being born first. But also during this time Zira had also given birth to twins. A daughter and son were born. She and Simba named them Vitani and Nukia or Nuka for short. Vitani had her mother's tan coat and her father's amber eyes. Nuka had a light gold coat and his mother's ruby red eyes. They were now a month old. Kiara was now seven months old and Kion and Kopa were three months old. But Nala and her followers were no longer living in the Pride Lands. Simba had caught Nala trying to murder his son when she thought no one was around. He had banished Nala along with any of her followers to the Outlands.

"Damn that Simba!" Nala cursed. "He'll pay dearly for all this!"

"So what's your plan now Nala?" asked Tama.

"We await your command my Queen," a sandy brown lioness with light brown eyes named Tia said.

"We wait," Nala declared. "Once Kion and Simba's brats are older then we'll strike! Simba will never see it coming!"

"But Mother," Kion began. "I don't want..." But he was interrupted by Nala's growl.

"Hush now," Nala hissed, causing Kion to jump. "You get some rest my little one. You have a big day tomorrow. Your training will begin first thing in the morning." Nala roughly rubbed Kion's head as she said this part.

"Yes Mother," Kion said as he went to lay down.

"Mother?" Kopa asked, his voice coming out very soft.

"What?!" Nala snapped, glaring at her son. Kopa jumped slightly and gulped before he spoke.

"Do I get a role in taking down Simba?" the creamy brown cub asked.

"No!" Nala growled, striking her son in the face, sending him sprawling across the ground. "You're far to weak to be of any use! You and your pathetic sister! Now get me and Kion some food! And be quick about it!"

"Yes Mother!" the siblings stammered as they raced to find some food. Sarafina was watching all this and shaking her head.

"I may not be able to save my daughter," the older lioness thought. "But I'm damn sure going to try and save my grandchildren. I will not allow them to become as twisted as their mother." With that Sarafina went to help her grandchildren gather some food.

A/N well folks how'd you like the first chapter? Let me know in a review please.
