Ch 15 Actions Have Consequences
Back in the Outlands Sarafina was getting anxious. Nala was getting suspicious as to why Kiara and Kopa were absent so often. "Mother!" Nala thundered, causing Sarafina to jump slightly. The creamy coated lioness turned and saw her furious daughter heading towards her with Kion right behind her. "Mother!" Nala shouted again. "Where are Kiara and Kopa?! They need to get me and Kion some food."
"Nala," Sharka said, coming onto the scene with Tama right behind her.
"Not now Sharka!" Nala snarled, glaring at grey coated lioness.
"Forgive me Nala but this is very urgent," Sharka said. "Nyeusi and Chafu have disappeared."
"Yes and I haven't seen Safara all day," Tama put in, the worry clear in her voice.
"They're with Kiara and Kopa," Sarafina said before she could stop herself.
"With them where Mother?!" Nala demanded. Sarafina just stared at her daughter with wide blue eyes. Nala let out a furious roar and hit Sarafina hard in her face, sending her sprawling across the ground. "I won't ask again Mother!"
"I bet I know where they are," Kion chimed in, causing the group to look at him. "I bet they're in the Pride Lands."
"Kion why would you say such a thing?" Sarafina cried out. "Your brother and sister would never go there. They know the consequences if they do."
"I heard Kopa and Safara talking the other day," Kion said. "Kopa was saying how bad he feels about what happened to Simba's brats. He's going soft and I told him so. After I beat the snot out of him that is."
"That's not a reason to suspect him and Kiara of going into the Pride Lands," Sarafina pointed out.
"Well then Mother if they're not in the Pride Lands then where are they?" Nala growled.
"I really don't know," Sarafina said. "The last I checked they were going for a walk to the other side of the Outlands."
"But that hyena territory," Sharka said, her light blue eyes wide with worry.
"I heard the hyenas have moved on Sharka," Sarafina said.
"Yeah they have," Tama confirmed with a nod. "Its just strange that Safara didn't tell me where she was going."
"I'm sorry Tama," Sarafina said. "I just assumed she did."
"Its alright Sarafina," Tama said. "I just hope she's back soon. Its getting dark."
"They will be," Sarafina promised.
"They had better be!" Nala growled. "Or so help me Mother it won't be pretty. Kion lets go!" With that Nala turned and walked away. Kion began to follow his mother. But before he left he noticed Sarafina let out a relived sigh.
"Something's up," the brown coated five month old cub said. "Grandmother is definitely up to something. I need to keep a good eye on her." With that Kion ran to catch up to Nala before she got angry with him.

"What are you guys doing here Moto?!" Kopa cried out, after catching his breath.
"We just wanted to check in with you guys," Moto said with a smile. "Did we scare you?" The jackal pup let out a small laugh when he said this part.
"No!" Kopa cried out, the annoyance clear in his voice. "So shut up Moto!"
"Geeze I was just kidding Kopa," Moto said, rolling his dark eyes. "But we did need to tell you guys something."
"Yeah and we've got good news," Kijana said with a smile of his own.
"Vitani and Nuka are gonna be able to leave the cave next week," Chana finished. "Rafiki said they're healed enough to be able to go out for a little bit if they're real careful and take it slow."
"Yeah but King Simba is probably gonna insist that either he or Queen Zira is with them when they do go out," Kopa pointed out.
"Ah leave that to me," Jasiri said. "If me and Kovu put our minds to it we can convince King Simba to let us take them out. Right 'Vu?" Jasiri looked at her golden brown friend when she said this part.
"Sure we can," Kovu said with a nod. "We'll meet up here tomorrow. Alright?"
"Deal," the other young animals said. With that the group dispersed heading back to their respective homes.

A little while later Kopa, Kiara, Safara, Nyeusi, and Chafu were back in the Outlands where they were met by Sarafina. "I'm glad I saw you children first," the creamy lioness said. "Your mothers have been wondering where you've been. I told them you went to the other side of the Outlands.
"Mother's angry isn't she?" Kopa asked, his voice full of dread. "That's why you've got new scratches on your face isn't it?"
"Don't you worry dear," Sarafina said with a smile. "I can handle it. I'll take a beating anytime over either one of you taking it." Just then Nala approached the cubs with Tama and Sharka right behind her.
"Kopa!" Nala shouted, causing her children to jump in fear. "Kiara! Where the Hell have you two been?!"
"We're sorry Mother!" the two siblings cried out, taking a step back in fear.
"We just went to the other side of the Outlands," Kopa stammered. "We...we didn't know that you'd be so angry!"
"Please don't be angry Mother!" Kiara cried out.
"I've warned you two what would happen if you left without my permission!" Nala thundered, raising her paw and striking her daughter and oldest son in their faces, sending them sprawling across the ground. Nala stormed up to her children and hit them again before they could get back up.
"Ms. Nala please stop!" Nyeusi cried out as she ran up to the furious lioness.
"Nyeusi no!" Sharka cried out, getting in front of her daughter just as Nala swung at her. Nala's claws caught Sharka in her back. The grey coated lioness let out a roar of pain as the blood flowed down her back.
"Mom!" Nyeusi cried out, her brown eyes wide in horror.
"No!" Chafu cried out, his hazel eyes also wide in horror. The eight month old cub let out a furious growl and raced towards Nala, who had turned back towards her terrified children. "You'll pay for that!" the grey cub snarled as he ran towards Nala. But Sarafina quickly scoped the cub up and placed his in front of Sharka, who pulled him close along with Nyeusi.
"Mom let me go!" Chafu cried out as he struggled to break free from his mother's grip.
"Yeah we have to tell Ms. Nala that it wasn't Kopa and Kiara's fault," Nyeusi cried out as she too tried to break free. Her blue eyes went wide as she saw Kopa and Kiara get hit once again.
"You do anything to interfere and she'll kill you for sure," Sharka said, pulling her children close to her. A stab of pain went through her back and she winced despite her best efforts not to.
"I've got you Shar'," a dark grey lioness with blue eyes said as she began to treat Sharka's wounds.
"Thanks Kike," Sharka said with a smile. She looked over at Tama, who was staring at her with wide blue eyes as they both watched helplessly as Nala continued her assault on her children.
"Nala stop!" Sarafina cried out, running between her daughter and her grandchildren. Nala's paw made contact with Sarafina's face, causing her to roar in pain.
"I warned you Mother!" Nala thundered. "I warned you what would happen if you interfere with me disciplining my children!"
"I don't care!" Sarafina cried out, getting right in Nala's face. "I won't allow you to abuse my grandchildren any longer!"
"I'll kill you!" Nala roared, raising her paw to strike Sarafina once again. But before she could a voice cried out, "I won't let you hurt her!" Nala turned and she was shocked to who she saw standing there.
